Cliff House Hotel

Excellent location. The quiet seaside location with the beach and cliffwalk being just steps from the front door. Downtown Ballybunnion is just a short walk from the hotel. My room was spacious, with a very nice view of Ballybunnion and the ocean. The restaurant was excellent, featuring traditional items as well as many locally sourced specials. I cannot tell you enough how gracious and helpful Fiona, Kevin, and the entire staff was for my two night stay. After travel difficulties prior to arrival, they greeted me with warmth and helped bring ease after a very difficult day. Their warmth and care helped ensure my trip was as great as it could possibly could be. I cannot extend enough personal gratitude to them. If I could give 20 stars, I would.

Just had the most wonderful experience with Fiona & her staff last weekend, was my mothers birthday we had 9 for Sunday lunch a few were late , we had the most wonderful lunch everyone was delighted with their meal and to cap it all off Fiona landed with the most delicious biscuit cake omg to die for ! The only downer is that they are closing this weekend a shame they won’t remain open for the winter ! Thank you Micheal Moran

Thanks to Fiona & her amazing friendly staff, they were so helpful, making everyone's stay a pleasure. It was their first wedding in the hotel & they were so professional. They made the bride & groom feel so special & couldn't do enough for them or the guests. Delicious food, beautiful hotel, amazing views. Spotless I highly recommend it. I will be going back.

Our stay at the Cliff House Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm, friendly service that set the tone for the rest of our visit. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The food was a highlight—creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Each meal was a treat, with fresh, local ingredients and thoughtful attention to detail. Whether we were enjoying breakfast with a sea breeze or dinner as the sun set, the dining experience was top-tier. The views from the hotel are simply breathtaking. Perched right on the coast, the Cliff House offers panoramic vistas of the sea that are as calming as they are stunning. And if you’re looking to get even closer to the water, the beach is just a short, scenic walk away. All in all, the Cliff House Hotel is a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and impeccable hospitality. We can’t wait to return.

Stayed in The Cliff House Hotel for a family wedding. Every member of staff was genuinely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure the event was a success. The room I stayed in had a beautiful ocean view. The food was excellent and great value for money. Will definitely be planning a return trip

Such a gorgeous weeks holiday in The Cliff House Hotel. It was an absolutely brilliant stay, our rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean with an amazing view. Fiona and her team were fantastic, so helpful and friendly. They really went above and beyond. The food was delicious, the menu catered to everyone in our party. I cannot recommend The Cliff House Hotel enough, we'll be back soon!

Unfortunately this was our 3rd time visiting that has left us less than satisfactory. |We have been in 2023 & 24 also around the same time with bad experiences on food and service. |Primarily the food and service has been a let down each time. |2 weeks ago we ate there. |I ordered the burger and asked for no bacon, bacon was on the burger. |The burger was far from satisfying, a can of Winalot may have tasted better. |The fries were covered in some kinda cheese sauce with bacon bits, I asked for no bacon. |The staff of which there are many seem to be at odds and not at all interested or professional. ||The location is fantastic with views to the beach from restaurant but we won’t be calling again, ever!||This place isn’t the most expensive place to eat but it’s way overpriced for the quality of food and service.

Great, family-run hotel. Spacious family room, super soft bed linen, very comfortable, gorgeous views across the bay. Food was delicious, great big breakfast to set you up for the day. |Stunning location woth the beach on the doorstep and lovely walks across the cliffs. |Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Amazing location right across from the water. Delicious food and the kindest staff. Fiona and Kevin + children are incredibley hospitable and intentional.

I couldn't say nicer things about this hotel. The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. The owners, Kevin and Fiona ensure your stay with them is more than satisfying. Fiona couldn't go out of her way to make you feel like home; she is a gem. The hotel overlooks Ballybunion Beach and is simply breathtaking while having dinner in the dining room during sunset. The food is delicious and there is a wide selection on the wine list. There is also live music on weekends. The hotel is closed during the months of October through April, however, that depends on the weather.

This place is a hotel but we like many locals use it as a bar to socialize. It's hopping busy at the weekends during summer despite the weather. I loved it. People also come here for lunch or dinner which I have not. However I hear they do an awesome meal. Great ambiance in the bar with live music & singing from a local man. Phenomenal views of Ballybunion Beach.
