Probably the best meal I've ever had skiing. Not overly crowded. Unique opportunity to have made-to-order personalized Mongolian BBQ. Wish this was an option at Snowmass too.

Special to reload batteries. Its a big place up the hill, with different options. Everybody took the hot chocolate but to me, was too much sugar in it. Outside you can be in deferents tables around the place. They close at 1530, so keep that in mind if you need something. Lunch starts at 11. They have restroom in the basement. All hot beverages; 4,55. You can chose wines, 🍻 and others. Nice views from the top. I went without 🎿 and they guys at the chairlift help me to hop off. The sightseeing pass its 40 usd

Please Bring back the old mongolian grill!! They used to ask you assemble your desired ingredients and then cook for you on the grill in real time. Now in 2025-01, Hugely disappointed to find them “pre-cook” the food for you, and simply assemble the bowl. The outcome is the food tastes terrible now, overly salty with no real flavors. This is a significant downgrade. I can’t even finish the bowl because the bad taste, and man I’m usually a big eater.

Please, bring back the original Mongolian grille!!!! I used to love this place for their unique way of preparing the food. We were able to choose our own vegetables and toppings. Now they got lazy and everything is already made, not grilled. I don’t like some vegetables that they have, so, picking your own food is so much better. Not to mention, the food doesn’t taste good because they don’t make it fresh anymore, and the sauce that they put on the bowl instead of cooking together on the grill doesn’t taste as good and the food gets all wet and soupy. Horrible experience. This is not Mongolian grille because they don’t grille your food anymore. Very disappointed! It might be fast and easier to prepare but the quality of the food and the Mongolian experience gets ruined.

Awesome variety of food including nice grilled items, hearty salad bar, smoothies, stir-fry, and pho/noodle soups! Amazing views on a bluebird day. Try to get a table outside.

Great place for food on the mountain. Everyone goes for their Mongolian bowls but the usual choices (hamburgers, chicken tenders, hot doors) are available and done well. Be sure to get the fries - excellent. Service is awesome as they maintain their humor while facing a crush of hungry skiers.

Beginner friendly mountain with super friendly staff and good terrain for everyone! Also just so beautiful!!

It's noon and you are starved. Heck out CliffHouse at the top of Buttermilk. Elevation 9690' above sea level Amazing views of the Maroon Bells that are captivating. You just can't stop looking. Mongolian grill is popular. Fries. Chicken strips. Burgers. Chili. Salad bar. Sandwiches. Some limited booze options. The seating here is limited for sure. Outside lots of tables and chairs too that allow you to enjoy the view. Prices are stupid but that's to be expected. They now have self checkout to put ease lines. They seem simple. The food is not really worth featuring in a pic but the mountains are.

Mogolian Grill, best healthy ski food. Not open in Summer Fine views and wonderful staff. Try to avoid the noon - 1 rush. If the weather is good the deck is the place to be.

The Mongolian BBQ hit the spot mid-ski day! You get to build your own bowl - it did not disappoint.

The best dining option at buttermilk. Make sure to try the Mongolian grill at least once--delicious mixed veggies and protein, if a little oily. There are always cheaper lunch specials too and the chicken wrap is also a great option.

We love this place ! After half a day of skiing eating at a cliff house will help you restore all your energy . They have variety of yummy food selections. Very efficient system . Love the view as well . We love it so much we ate there for lunch and came back after we are done skiing Will be visiting again next year ! Thanks for the awesome experience

Need a break from m skiing or snowboarding, then stop by at Cliffhouse at Buttermilk mountain. It's great to grab a soup, hot noodle bowl, burger, and adult beverages!!! The kitchen usually closes around 2:45 pm since the lift closes at 3:30 pm which is earlier than other ski resorts. There is beer, wine, and alcoholic sparkling water like white claw. The setup is more of a cafeteria, but there is a wait staff that are constantly cleaning the tables. The views at the Cliffhouse are breath taking whether you are sort tag inside by the window or enjoying a meal out door. There are also plenty of restrooms at the restaurant and areas to sit and take a break.

Surprisingly good food. Aspenish, overpriced but truly good food in my experience. The best views around. Free water that's my tip

Hamburger was way over cooked. I replaced it with one off the grill. It was equally overcooked and dry. No way worth $17. My wife got Mongolian grill and wasn't impressed either. Beer wasn't bad.

The Cliffhouse at the Top of Buttermilk Mountain has great food options, including healthy ones, which is rare for an on-mountain lodge. The lodge has your standard ski lodge food options like burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, chili, soups, sourdough soup bowls, etc. Salads are available, and are ok, but not great. And they do have a fresh juice bar which is nice. And the lodge is exceptionally clean and tidy. But what I love and think is great, is the ability to get good quality Asian food - Vietnamese Pho Soup, Pad Thai, as well as a Mongolian BBQ Wok. And the servers making the Pho are actually Vietnamese which is nice as well. Now, it's Not the Best Pho I've ever had, and you pick your own ingredients from a self-serve bar, but I think for being at 10,000 feet, at the top of a mountain in the middle of Winter, it's a pretty cool option to have. You rarely have the ability to get unique, healthy and tasty options like this at other ski mountains, especially on the East Coast. Most mountains in the East and West, with the exception of high end resorts (Aspen, Telluride, Sun Valley, Whistler, etc), just have standard Sysco-type food - packaged burgers, hot dogs, pizza, etc. So, it's great to have something healthy to eat instead. Not to mention, the FABULOUS VIEW you have sitting on the outdoor deck overlooking the Aspen Highlands mountain across the valley, and Pyramid Peak mountain in the far distance. Probably the BEST PANORAMIC VIEW from any of the Lodges in Aspen/Snowmass. And yes, it's pricey, but everything is pricey at ski resorts and given that you're in Aspen, don't expect a budget lunch - expect to pay around $20 per person for lunch (most food items are $8-$15, plus drinks, tax, etc.) If you're looking for budget, there are plenty of lower-end ski resorts in the country to visit, not here though. Just being honest. So, Overall, I Highly Recommend The Cliffhouse for the Food and the View!!

Great place on the top with a Mongolian grill to boot. There's a beautiful sun deck to sit and bask in the sun along with enjoying the stupendous view. The bathrooms are super clean, and service in the store and restaurant are great.

Try the Mongolian stir-fry where you select your choice of vegetables. Wide selection of fresh as well as classic high altitude fare to keep you on your skis all-day. Bathrooms are downstairs so make sure you are not feeling wobbly when ready to go... View outside of neighboring highlands is beautiful and like much of Buttermilk is under-rated by the status hungry "must-ski-Ajax" crowd.
