We love this park/campground! This is where all of my kids had there first ocean experience 💓 Its so convenient for so many reasons! The park is easy to find from the highway. The terrain and layout of the campground is open, level ground with two paths down to the shore. The path from the parking area is fairly short, paved most of the way, and has a small but lovely little creekside cove with a bench (very romantic 💞) The other path is accessible from the picnic/camp area, and has one short flight of paved stairs. There are bathrooms off the parking area with both men's/women's sides that have two stalls each and functional sinks, paper towel dispensers and a mirror. It is a tent spot only campground. No RV spots or hookups, but the tent spaces have firepits and concrete picnic tables, with water centrally accessible from both the campground and the bathrooms. The camp spots are surprisingly spacious considering the parks smaller size. The park hosts are good people who do their best to keep the bathrooms maintained and the park clean and well kept. We LOVE this place! The only downfall to this park is that the direct and easy access from the highway has recently made it a target for thieves. I am hoping that with the vigilance of the park hosts, local residents, and the awareness of campers, this will not be a regular issue here.

We always love camping here. I do feel like the management is different than last time though because it's not as kept up as it used to be. Bathrooms were dirty and not well stocked and the grounds were kind of trashed (which should be the campers job to clean up after yourselves). Otherwise, a great place to camp out!

Found this place at the last second. Camp host was friendly and gracious. Great tent sites and ocean beach access. Good price.

It is cold at night, it's right off the beach on the west coast, with some crazy winds at times but during the right time of year it is an affordable camping spot that is reasonably priced for tent camping, with a gorgeous viewpoint with breathtaking sunsets. They have public bathrooms, with no showers, or Laundry services. On site camp hosts available for questions and security. Payment is under $10 a night pay upon arrival, first come first serve, simply fill out an envelope put in money and drop it in the box when you first pull in and park.

Crowded but still pleasant place to camp for the weekend. Close to Brookings and Crescent City, several spots to relax on the beach, lots of driftwood and river rocks to explore, and close to the Redwood hiking spots. Will be back soon.

Good and bad close to hwy. Inexpensive, almost clean RR. On the ocean! Had to make an exception to sleep in a van and not occupy a tent site. Hmm

Very clean walk-in tent camping. Jay looks rough but is a great host. He walks the ground twice a day and leaves you alone. Not many people camping in April so I had six sunny days with only three of them with other campers. It was beautiful and serene. 2 miles from Oregon border so all shopping and a casino are nearby.

Small parking area but easy access to the beach. Nice area for tent camping. 15$ a night. Restroom and grills. The beach area is awesome.

Yelp
Been coming here my entire life and this place just isn't what it used to be. Days before my trip I had stumbled on someone's review explaining the tweaker situation, but brushed it off. However, when my family and I had arrived on 7/17/16, the first thing we noticed was a group of people staying way, way back in the brush. They had a couple tents up at the site, but behind them were many more. I instantly got an uneasy feeling because I could clearly see that they were living there. They most certainly looked comfy. While unloading the car the people conveniently were going to their vehicles and watching us do our thing. We stayed at the very last site on the right, aka the furthest one from them. That night, however, this large group of people got loud. And do I mean loud! One of them even stumbled into our lamp with a lantern explaining that she had lost her cigarettes and thought she left them at our camp and started looking around. I told her we found no such thing and I'd let her know if I came across them. Around 11pm I had to run to my car and grab a jacket, and while walking there two of those people were sitting on a table two spots away from us, drinking and smoking, and what I presume was eves dropping. They scared the absolute hell out of me when I walked by. Then, on my way back from the car, one of them approached me in pure darkness and exclaimed "if any of you ladies need anything, let me know." Um, creeper. What was gonna be a three night trip turned into 11 hours. We left the next morning because we didn't feel comfortable leaving our stuff alone. While we were packing the next morning, members of that group would walk by and examine us closely. It was just insane. Aside from the weirdos, however, the "camp host" is a joke and is obviously there for the money. Getting down the beach now is a pain in the ass. The bridge that you cross to get to the sand practically broke in half and is now blocked off. To get down you basically have to go through someone's camp, down a steep flight of stairs, and pray that you don't slip down the rocks you have to maneuver down. This camp site used to be wonderful and I have so many fun memories here. Hopefully some day it can get back to what it once was. It's still a gorgeous beach, though!

Yelp
I just would like to say that robin is the best thing that happened to this place! She truly will make your trip so comfortable and make sure u are set on everything you need! She litterly will even make u a fire if needed, she definitely goes above and beyond! My son and I go every week if we can and she is a big part of why we come too! There's not many places I feel safe camping out just me and my son but she always makes us feel welcome and safe and we absolutely love her! She deserves 10 stars and as long as she is hosting it We will keep comming back!

Yelp
A couple of miles south of the California/Oregon border, in California, right on Hwy. 101. It's only got a few tent site, and they're basically 'walk-in' (but not a long walk). If you're on the coast to surf or be ON THE BEACH, this is a Del Norte county campground and only costs $15 a night. Be prepared for wind and dampness.

Yelp
clifford kamph memorial park CALIFORNIA coat not far from the border of Oregon about 15 or 30 miles from it in cali. my farther and i and a friend spoted it off the 101 hwy and checked it out. seemed to be a good place to camp for the night only 15$ a night. so we left the KOA camp and headed there. got all set up and found out that the drop bow for the cash had no bottom and there where people that looked like they had got stuck on the road and moved in to the park and clamed to be the camp hosts. but looked nothing like a host iv ever seen. as the night set in the the young kids and people hitchhiking on the 101 hwy stared to move into the camp.and as it was on the coast it was really havey dampness coming off the sea as well as strong winds as well. had are car taged by some one and another camper spent the night drunk & loud.but other then all that was a nice place.
