Cliffside at Muskoka Bay Resort

As locals we have always been curious about how the Cliffside restaurant at Muskoka Bay resort was. We mutually decided we wanted to try it out. What an awesome location we chose for dinner. Our table overlooked the golf course 300 feet above the greens. We had Laura as our server and she made this romantic birthday dinner very special! From start to finish she was great she even brought my wife a desert with a candle in it! I had the New York strip and she had the blackened chicken we both cleaned our plates! We will be back!

I had brunch at the Cliffside Dec 31st with my family and on my own before heading home on Jan 1st. The atmosphere is fabulous, and the view is incredible! Brunch with my family, we had Zack as our server, and he was wonderful! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious! We shared some sweet breakfast items together, and then I had the eggs benedict with salmon. It was all exceptional! On the 1st, I ate the traditional breakfast at the bar and was welcomed into the restaurant by Taryn, the hostess! She is absolutely spectacular! Her attention to detail and the way she interacts with every customer who comes into the restaurant is amazing! She even took the time to make sure that I had everything I needed! She is super friendly and welcoming, and it really adds to the wonderful experience that the Cliffside brings. The traditional breakfast was exactly as I asked; perfect over easy eggs, crispy bacon, and sour dough bread. Their home fries are incredible! I highly recommend this restaurant and the experience that it brings, and I can't wait to return again!

We are in the area for a girls week and choose to try Cliffside for the first time. Our server Clara was phenomenal and made our time so enjoyable, so much so that we chose to come back again. Her attention to detail did not go unnoticed. She went the extra mile to ensure we were well taken care of. What a kind, joy filled, efficient server. Next time you are there ask for Clara. You will not be disappointed! To the management at Cliffside…you have a gem of an employee in Clara.

Had a wonderful time with my family at Cliffside. We went for lunch and the staff was very friendly and helped with deciding the menu. Food was delicious and we really enjoyed our time there. Highly recommended for special any special occassion.

Staff was great. Decor is beautiful and the view is nice. Food was presented well. My wife didn't like the gnocchi, it had a vinegar favour that she wasn't expecting but it was done well, just not what she was used to. I had blackened chicken, the waiter warned me that it was spicy, but I ordered it anyway, it did have a kick that didn't hit you right away but you could feel it after several seconds. Not that overpowering but if you don't like hot spicy food order something else. I liked it and the presentation with the mashed potatoes and garden vegetables was very nice. The weather was cool and rainy and maybe why it was a bit cool inside, I would recommend bringing a sweater if you are not a fan of A/C.

What truly set our experience apart was the extraordinary service provided by Avery and Zack. Their attentive and intuitive service is something we have only encountered in the finest restaurants. They were knowledgeable about the menu and the local area, providing excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Their genuine warmth and professionalism made us feel right at home, allowing us to fully enjoy our celebration. Additionally, Muskoka Bay Resort features a stunning golf course designed by the renowned golfer and architect, Doug Carrick. This championship course offers a unique challenge and breathtaking views, making it a premier destination for golf enthusiasts. It's worth noting that the resort is currently in the process of privatization, which adds an element of exclusivity to this already remarkable destination. The reservation process was seamless, and the follow-up communication was prompt and informative, ensuring that our special evening was perfectly planned. In summary, Cliffside at Muskoka Bay Resort is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Ontario. Here’s our updated review… We had such a positive experience during our last visit that we decided to return to this place before heading back to Toronto. Our favorable opinion remains strong and is reinforced by the new brunch menu and the extraordinary and friendly service from Haley. This time, we ordered steak & eggs, smash burgers, lobster bisque (AMAZING), Cinnabon buns, and raspberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious, and the ambiance was just as beautiful as during our first visit!

We went for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The meal was not cheap but if you want cheap go for fast food. We had the prime rib special, and both our meals were perfect. Our server Laura was a marvelous young lady who made us feel so special, and that made our anniversary dinner memorable. I posted pictures of our desserts, and my wife's was free as an anniversary gift. Lyla is shown delivering it.
