Absolutely next level – a true Kiwi gem Clifftop Cabins is quite simply one of the highlights of the entire NZ trip. From the moment you arrive, you know you’ve found somewhere special. The cabins are beautifully finished — polished, thoughtful, and incredibly well designed — with that perfect balance of comfort, quality, and understated Kiwi style in a tiny home/cabin. Every detail has been considered, and the booking experience was seamless from start to finish. And then… the views. Wow. Truly spectacular. Sitting above Kaikōura with sweeping outlooks, yet just a short stroll down the path to the Pier Hotel, the location couldn’t be better. Peaceful, private, and perfectly positioned. Huge kudos to the owners — this is a 100% authentic Kiwi experience done exceptionally well. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely special. If you're looking for a special place to spend a few days, you needn't look further than Clifftop Cabins in beautiful Kaikōura. We stayed in Ruby recently and it was gorgeous! The views were incredible and we were so cosy and warm with the heat pump inside and the outdoor heater for dining outside, watching the sunset while the waves rolled onto to the shore. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you need, lovely bathroom and comfy bed with nice linens. The outdoor bath is just amazing, relaxing with a glass of wine and some nibbles, snow topped peaks and ocean views ~ magical!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Excellent check-in, beautiful views, wonderful and clean bathroom and bed. The recommendations in the host book were helpful and targeted to the things we were interested in. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and left a bottle of wine for us to celebrate our engagement. Incredible, incredible, incredible! The view, the cabin, the amenities - everything was just incredible. The cabin was flawless - the fittings and paint etc all perfectly finished. The bathroom is very clean and modern. The views - wow! We sat outside with a wine and just took it all in! Lovely coffee and tea provided with milk and little chocolates! Lovely and warm with a heat pump inside and a heater outside. There was also card games, books, a portable speaker! To top it all off there was a bath tub outside! We went when it was raining and honestly it was still well worth it. Highly recommend

DREAMY VIEWS- What a way to wake up! Sunrise & sunset views at Clifftop Cabins are bliss. A short 2 hour drive from Christchurch. These cabins are beautiful & have everything you need for a spectacular stay. There are 3 cabins, each with their own unique outlook to the city & sea. Lovely hosts & great value.

Everything was absolutely perfect and stunning, Loved the outdoor bath with an incredible view. The perfect anniversary get-away. We will be back.
