Good value spot off the main drag but close to all the action. Service was super friendly for the most part. They even refunded us one night when our flights changed at we had to leave early. The rooms are OK. Nothing fancy but the beds were clean. The shower was not very clean and no hot water but the other room had hot water. This is the main reason for removing a star from the rooms rating. Also don’t expect a view. Our view was the room of the other hotel. My favorite part of this place is the restaurant next door. Do the brunch. Service is awesome and the bottomless mimosas are great value. They give you the bottle to make your own which is nice in case you don’t want a bunch of juice in your drink. The pool is actually in the outdoor restaurant area which is a bit awkward but is also an interesting vibe. They also had an awesome live DJ playing tropical house music. Vibe all day. Overall I do recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for a mini staycation to be a close to the beach but far enough from all the noise, which was perfect for me. The room was clean and cozy, beds were super comfy, with a spacious shower. Their restaurant was such a vibe for brunch and food was delicious. Can’t complain, it was a weekend well spent. And the staff were so nice and helpful.

Terrible experience ever after check out, the hotel has my credit card on file. When I checked in they took $202 on hold + the resort fees and I was being told that $100 would be refunded after check out. 5 days after while checking my bank account I noticed that I was overcharged. I called the hotel and spoke to the receptionist, she informed me I have been charged for items from the mini- bar that we did not consume. So I decided to speak with the manager but there was no manager in the hotel by that time. I sent an email to express my concerns. Mrs Joselyn Quilcate replied ‘ Regarding minibar consumption, 1 Fiji water and 1 Pringles were used after verifying the charges. Items were in place when the room was inspected once you departed, but they were exchanged with bought-out items from another source. We ensure all our items are marked in a specific area of the container to ensure they are directly purchased from the hotel’. |I am a front desk supervisor with more than 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I went to celebrate my birthday in Miami, why would I eat snacks from the room and replace it with supermarket items. The hotel is literally blaming me and took my money without even asking. They should check with their previous guests or introduce a system upon check out where someone can go quickly to verify the room and deal with the issue on site instead of waiting for the guest to leave the town and charge them more for things we never did. |I also ask them to check camera of the hotel as we bought everything from outside, we bought 2 gallons of water on our arrival day and upon check out our water was still with us. |Now I am trying to contact them directly they are putting me on hold without answering to give me an explanation.

Stay away from this hotel! I stayed with my family for one night. It was probably the most disturbing experience I’ve had at a hotel. Check in was fine, they hold $100 incidentals. I enter the elevator to our floor. The elevator seemed one step away from being completely out of service. After we checked into our mediocre room and went to sleep, I started to hear shouting outside. A poor disturbed soul having an episode screamed and yelled for over 2 hours. The walls, paper thin, made it feel like her was in the room with us. Never again!

What a disappointment and based on previous reviews, the management and staff clearly do not care to make any changes. I would avoid this place like the plague and stay in a real hotel. At first glance it seems nice, but when we got to our room we noticed various stains on the headboard; many of the stains were bleach stains, other stains appeared to be crusty and semi transparent as if bodily fluids were flung all over the hotel room. As other reviews mentioned, there’s no cold water on the tap, and apparently they don’t care to fix that. When they turn over the room they will not replace the sheets and we’ve noticed crumbs, stains and sand in the sheets and pillow cases. Everything feels unclean and on a closer inspection, it’s apparent there hasn’t been deep cleaning or care here in years. Also they apparently only attempt to turn over rooms once a day, so if you stop in your room while they’re turning over other rooms, they’ll likely skip yours until the next day. As mentioned there’s a surprise $35 charge a night for their “resort” fee’s which I assume is for the “free” breakfast and for their WiFi, which is subpar at best. Not to mention the walls are paper thin, you can hear every and the hotel pool is more of a well used bath tub. For the price, it’s an utter disappointment and I would never recommend this place for anyone. Perhaps the hotel gets its name from Bill Clinton, which would make sense. My friend that stayed with me was utterly disgusted and far less understanding than I was about the condition of this hotel - she would have given this place 0-1 stars.

Lovely room with a separate small lounge. 10-15 minutes walk to the South Beach, bars and restaurants. Good customer service. Free luggage storage. There was a Resort Fee on top of the booking fee which we were not aware of at first. No complimentary water/tea/coffee in the room. Noisy corridor. Slow lift. The bedroom only had a lamp, no other lights. Bathroom light was deemed, no ventilation. The cold water tap was not working and one of the windows could not be closed. Both issues were fixed promptly. On the day of our checkout, we didn't have any water due to some issues with the area's water supply. They refunded one day Resort Fee to compensate for that, however it was really inconvenient as we had to go out of the hotel to use the toilet facilities. The hotel stored our luggage for free, which was really helpful as our flight was in the afternoon.

Google
Location was Amazing! Literally a block from the beach. Service was good too. Very gracious, polite and professional. Rooms and hotel were being renovated and the elevator was out of service. The back sitting area would not lock due to damage. However, they had just experienced two hurricanes in a row causing some major damage. Overall a lovely and relaxing stay!

Google
Absolutely loved my stay at Clinton South Beach! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and nightlife. The room was modern and spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

Jayjay M.

Yelp
For the price & location I like. I feel like the room lack some essential there needs to office chair or relaxing chair. Small suitcase table would have been helpful in addition more hooks and shelf or space in bathroom. Room size is good staff is helpful & kind. Pool is plung pool but does job to entertain toddlers.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel over the weekend for my birthday and it was awful. They did not have enough washcloths or bath towels to give us. We were given cheap flimsy pool towels, and we cannot get hand towels. We stayed for four days and had to call the office because each time the room was clean. We were left with no towels at all. The pool is about 4 feet wide and 8 feet long. I wouldn't even consider it a swimming pool. The staff was young and could care less. We asked for a manager, and they said the manager would not be in for a few hours. We did not even have a sheet on our bed between the comforter and the mattress. We just prayed that the comforter had been washed. They also charge you a $40 per day fee for amenities. There was no coffee or tea in the lobby which the website states there is and they couldn't even provide us towels. I'm not exactly sure what amenities they were talking about because there was nothing there. Do not drink the bottles of water in your room as they are $9 each and I can't even imagine how much the peanuts are. There was a woman complaining at the front desk because they charged her about $80 for the food in her room which she didn't even realize there was a fee for. I definitely would never stay here again.

Shirley C.

Yelp
I was charged $10 for pillow cases because my head wrap stained them. Soap and water could clean it out. I was charged for using things from the mini bar in which I didn't use any of those items. I had to constantly ask for towels. Be aware they charge extra when you check in, which is not posted in their resivation website.

Hasti G.

Yelp
I'm currently staying at room 334 and so far my stay was amazing. Everything is clean and staff are so friendly. They do room service everyday. Great restaurants around. I highly recommend this hotel.

Noa J.

Yelp
If you don't have a lot of money and you want to spend a few days in south beach it's hard to beat this deal but buyers beware I stayed one night on the third floor far end room. I think it was 323 but not sure. Why don't they dispose of this disgusting stained dirty sofa that no one would touch if it was at a yard sale. The sheets had a weird stain on them. Overall just didn't feel clean. But very convenient, spacious, affordable. It also really stank of cleaning fluid. And the walls are paper thin. The couple next door got up at 4 am. The kids upstairs were thumping on the floor. Luckily I could sleep on the beach a couple of blocks away. My brother is staying there for a few nights in a different room and I'm curious what he thinks. I told him to bring slippers. Oh one big plus was that the windows opened.

Darnell D.

Yelp
Reviews are equal to a personal experience! My experience at this hotel was 10/10. Ryland our front desk receptionist was pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable! Our room was extremely clean and quaint. I did see two small roaches, but I expected that in a tropical environment. It was literally 3 blocks from famous South Beach! I'll be back! The price for one night was admirable as well!

Claire L.

Yelp
It's a $66 night hotel. Don't be fooled by the pictures!!!!!!!!!!! The pool is very small and gross. Just spare yourself.

Shawana S.

Yelp
This was my families first time in south beach I chose a hotel that wasn't directly on the strip so that I could enjoy the south beach night life without my kids/mom being thrusted into it. The aesthetics of the Clinton made it a perfect fit. Or so I thought. The phone in my room didn't work for me to call downstairs and ask for wash cloths since there were none in the room, and at night I discovered two baby roaches. I went down and asked for a deep cleaning for the next day. But when we woke up the next day there were larger roaches. The manager said "its not in her control" and although she's really sweet and helpful i don't think that's the thing to say to a guest. Especially one who travels all the time and has never seen a roach in a hotel in life. There has to be something other hotels are doing that the Clinton is not

Jenny L.

Yelp
The only good thing is the kindness of the front desk staff. Booked through American Express, and can only say WOW. American Express should not associate with this hotel AT ALL. There are ROACHES everywhere. They offer to change rooms but you know if there's a few, there's hundreds. And there's no way it is just one room with roaches You ABSOLUTELY cannot keep food or drinks in the room at all. You'll find more of them and a lot of them on and near anything with food/drinks. Oh, and ants are ALWAYS trying to become your best friends. Windows don't close all the way so there's no way to keep the bugs out once they get in. The windows not closing completely also leads to humidity in the room at all times. The room is always humid and wet even with the AC going full blast. The furniture is all stained. ALL stained. But if the sheets and stuff are changed and clean, can live the stained furniture. The entire hotel reeks of weed, even though they tell you explicitly no smoking of any kind at all. Clearly not enforced. All in all, this place is TERRIBLE and should be closed. Or listed more accurately as a motel/lower than motel tier. The only other plus side is that it is closely located to many popular sites in South Beach. But it's honestly not even worth it. Now we are worried about bringing back roaches and ants with us home and are genuinely considering tossing everything we brought. We're here to celebrate but this whole ordeal out quite the damper on our experience.

Yelp
I had a horrible experience at this hotel. The room was filthy and dusty and old. The walls had cracks and chipped paint. The beds were dirty and faded and old. The balcony had holes in the walls. The table on the balcony was distugust8ng. The entire room was horrible please do not stay here! Please see attached pics!

Yelp
I came here for one evening with my daughter and we enjoyed our stay. These are my thoughts in an easy to read nutshell as the reviews are clearly bad. The good - comfy beds, clean linen, clean beach towels, elevator was working for us! friendly quick service at reception, friendly wait staff at limonada, we loved limonada's cute outdoor area (yes the pool IS tiny, but still, a lot of boutique hotels do not have one!) lovely spaceous shower with a good pressure, great location, its also free to leave your bags once you check out at 11, we also checked in before the 4 o c lock too, mini fridge, The bad - tiny pool, flush on our toilet was loose, Things to address - we did not see this place as dirty, the elevator was working, we did not see any bugs, service was friendly and efficient, the carpets the areas to walk to your room were clean, and the lighting sufficient, we also had a mini fridge in our room. You can smell pot, it does not bother me - as you can smell pot everywhere in South beach! (lol), so it does NOT mean it is the hotel. For the price we paid I was happy - around 100 dollars on hotwire.com and I would stay again. I would also recommend limonada for their food, ambiance and cool vibe (see my other review and pictures for limonade) which IS part of this hotel. My review is a 3.5 which yelp does not allow, but I want to help this establishment.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Was charged for taking an item from the mini bar which I did not take. Hotel has stopped responding to communication after I told them this charge was not correct. The front desk service was excellent and overall the stay was fine. But lots of things added up to me not returning here on my next trip. The shower door didn't close all the way so it got water everywhere, we saw a cockroach in the room, and the music from the restaurant was so loud it woke us up each morning. You could see that the hotel needed some updating overall.

Ashley ..

Yelp
Overall we had a great stay! It felt a little bit budget upscale but it was nice for a last minute trip. The wall paper is peeling in some places, and they forgot to put towels in our room the last day of our trip. The staff was very friendly, and everyone spoke great English/spanish here. The beds were comfy as well, and the balcony was a nice edition.

Michele R.

Yelp
Do NOT stay here. We had three rooms for four nights and experienced issues every day. Upon check in, one room smelled of mold and mildew and another room had a non-functioning toilet and we were advised that it couldn't be fixed until the next day. We were unable to "call" the front desk because on room didn't have a phone and the other had a cord that was disconnected and no way to connect it. In the third room, when it rained, water leaked from ceiling all over my suitcase and when I made staff aware they came to see but offered no remedy to the problem. The rooms were not turned down or cleaned daily and when we would call to have new towels, etc., they did not provide enough towels for each guest staying in the room and many of the "fresh" towels were stained and dirty. We would also have to wait for hours, until late in the afternoon to receive towels. The bedding, headboards, curtains had stains. When our reservation was made not only did the website say that our "bed and breakfast" rooms included 2 beach chairs in each room but so did all of the confirmation emails. When we inquired about the chairs we were advised that they don't offer this "service" and not sure why our confirmations said this. The final day of our reservation we went to use our vouchers for breakfast in the restaurant as we had done for all mornings prior. Were given the voucher at 10:45 by front desk and immediately went into the restaurant and sat down to place our orders. The server did not come to our table until 11:04 and we were advised that it was done at 11:00. We were then ignored for another 5 minutes when the "manager" came to us and said our order needed to be "placed" by 10:50 and they couldn't enter into the system. FYI, they were still serving brunch/lunch and the restaurant was full and people did arrive after us and ordered. Finally, we had requested and was granted late check out for 12:00 pm for all rooms. An hour prior to check out not once, not twice but three times there was housekeeping and/or manager knocking on the door demanding that we needed to leave the room as check out was 11:00. Beware of this property. The pictures on the website do NOT depict what the property "actually" looks like.

Yelp
BEWARE!!! This hotel adds on fees to your room after you check out. My husband and I received our email with things listed on the receipt that we NEVER used or opened. Not only did they overcharge us but they even added a tip! In addition to this scam, the a/c in our room did not work. The a/c also rattled the ENTIRE time it was "on." But not cooling the room off. The only upside to this hotel is the location. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED. I can only imagine how many other people are being scammed & overcharged.

Unsatisfied C.

Yelp
DISGUSTING. absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. If you want to stay at a tweaker suite, this is the place for you! If you're looking for BED BUGS, CIGARETTE/WEED air freshener, healthy mold, soggy carpets, and dirty/unsanitary rooms, you've found the right place! Brittany spears probably wouldn't walk around this place bare foot.

Julie T.

Yelp
If you could, ask to stay in Room 423. The room is spacious, remodeled and the bed was so soft and comfy. It was heavenly, I felt like I was sleeping on a fluffy cloud every night. Victor at the front desk was the sweetest. Carl also allowed me to extend my check out time until noon. Overall the staff here really put their customers first. The people outside of the hotel can be dicey but the front entrance is locked and could only be accessed with our room key. The location is so good though, pretty much walking distance all over the place in Miami Beach and only two blocks from South Beach. Lots of bars, restaurants and supermarket in any direction you choose to walk. I hung out by the pool mostly at night when the restaurant next door winds down, or else you will be relaxing by the pool and listening to all sorts millennial conversations about their first world problems. The hotel is also one block from the 150 airport bus stop that took me only about 30 mins to get to and fro the airport for $2.25 one way. The free Miami beach trolley also stops at the same place. Super convenient and would definitely stay here again.

Evan J.

Yelp
This place is a bit run down. I'm not sure if it changed management at some point and the new one just doesn't care, but the building is slowly falling apart and even very obvious cosmetic blemishes are not getting attention. In our room, I counted several bleach stains (all over the dark furniture, which made them more visible), the air conditioning rattled constantly, there was a single light for the whole room in the far corner from the bed, tiny towels, and only one side of the bed has a power plug. The cleaners left us only one towel after the first day. The pool deck doesn't allow any outside food because there's a restaurant that abuts on it and they do not care at all that you're paying a resort fee for the luxury of access to their 6 x 12ft pool (not joking, it's tiny... see pics.) Try to not let their curated pics of the front lobby trick you, the place is *dark*. Our room was basically a dungeon except for a tiny divided porch with a view of nothing and a single chair on it.

Veronica N.

Yelp
So it's our first night here and it's already been an awful experience this morning we couldn't get the water in sink to go down we called for towels still waiting stain on couch we couldn't get tv to work then we came back to room to relax to hear a couple fighting and then they pulled the fire alarm now we can hear a dog barking and barking and we have 2 more days here I'm really not happy at all tried to add video of loud alarm but couldn't

Dee B.

Yelp
My experience in this hotel was horrible. First I was sent here by The fairwind hotel because they claimed the room they were giving me bathroom had some maintenance trouble and they couldn't accommodate me. So they advised me they were putting me up in their "LUXURY" hotel. There is nothing luxury about this hotel. The pool is literally in the middle of the restaurant, the room they gave me smelled like mildew bedding felt damp. I advised from desk they sent house keeping to come to dust, spray and change bedding. They never change bedding just brought me new sheets. I was told they had no other room available to change me to yet. I had to share a bed with my son because one bed was still very damp and I coughed all night because of mildew smell in room. even though I had to purchase febreze and Lysol to help with smell it did not work.

Nicole B.

Yelp
This hotel wasn't the best, and it wasn't the worst. It is centrally located in the middle of south beach so it's walking distance from all attractions and restaurants and bars. Perfect! The rooms can use some updating. The beds are super low to the floor, the bathroom door doesn't give much privacy and the shower glass door made so much noise to close, you thought it would shatter once closed. It had a lovely full length mirror, and a nice size tv with cable. The bed was okay. The pillows were too lean tho. Not really fluffy or firm. Just bare. The ac gets cold! Fast! So make sure you're prepared for that. No house keeping due to covid. The pool is outside of the restaurant, and it's super small. All in all not bad... I'll stay again if i can find a nice deal. The elevator was also out a few times but came back on almost immediately. You have to use your key to gain entry into the hotel as well, and extra towels and washcloths are at the front desk. (You have to call for them)

Chad P.

Yelp
Great location. The attached brunch spot was poppin every day. Super close to the beach and public transit!

Tee T.

Yelp
The hotel looks nice from the street and in the lobby, but wait until you get to the room! This room is the size of my walk-in closet! Huge pit in the floor as soon as you walk in the door to your room. Shower as a god awful mold smell (smells just like a high school locker room!) staff is very friendly and helpful and can only do so much, it's up to the owners of this building to pay to keep the buildings upkeep. Especially when you're paying $300 plus a night because it's an holiday. I will not rest until either this place is shut down behind code violations or until they spend what's need for upkeep of the rooms! TikTok, YouTube and all other platforms will have mine and so many others horror stories!

Pari I.

Yelp
Roach, bedbug, dust mite infested. I woke up with insect bites all over my body I politely complained to the front clerk then there was an $890 charge pending on my account for a one night stay. That amount should not be pending in my account. That's way more than what the total fees were. Pictures are misleading and false advertising to get you to book. There were prostitutes walking in and out. Nothing against sex workers at all. but you never know who they might bring in. It makes it feel unsafe. The location is not worth the sacrifice of staying there.

Danny M.

Yelp
Music playing very loud only stopping after we called the desk, started very early again this morning. Someone had tried entering our room without knocking, the only thing that stopped them was the arm lock on the door. However, the beds were very comfortable. We were also charged an additional $40 when we first checked in for something called a "resort fee", all it meant was that we had access to the gym and pool.

Angie H.

Yelp
Stayed here for a few days. honestly I loved it. Was so worth it. Definitely not a luxury experience but worth the price you pay for. Front desk guy was so sweet, we extended our stay there for soo cheap. The rooms were cleaned everyday. And honestly their shampoo and conditioner were great quality , didn't make my hair dry and gross. Loved this place. And I didn't think it smelled

Jess M.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE. Felt like we were catfishes into staying here. The room looks NOTHING Like the pictures. Upon walking in we noticed a very foul/ musty scent. We were so tired that we ignored the ugly decor and decided to take a nap. Woke up to feeling extremely itchy and noticed bugs all along the floor and wall.

Diane W.

Yelp
We did not have a good experience. The closest overnight parking is 1/2 mile away, the television did not work, and while Maintenance was very friendly and tried to be helpful, they never got it to work. Next, the lamp cord was frayed, and sparked when we turned it on. Also, the bathroom only had bath towels and we had to ask for wash cloths and hand towels. No hand towel at the hotel so we were given beach towels. The shower had almost no hot water - tepid at best - and no pressure. It's a large shower (formerly bath tub space) but we had to lean to the wall where the water fell under the shower head. Housecleaning came in with fresh towels and made the beds but did not take away used towels on the floor. And to top it off, it was raining and once we were asleep we heard dripping on to the mattress. It was coming from a plate in the ceiling and we were only on the third floor. It is NOT a 4 star hotel or even 3. 2 STARS AT BEST!!!

Carren R.

Yelp
I feel like this place has the potential to be really great. The rooms with the balcony - great to have a balcony but I think a plant or 2 wouldn't hurt. We only got 3 pillows on our king bed. The floor always felt grimey. I personally wouldn't sit on the couch in the room. Cleanliness I would rate it a 5-6/10. The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. The walls are paper thin- if you're not one to be up all hours of the morning partying - you'll be woken up by doors slamming and people taking all hours of the morning. I think that the owner needs to walk the place and really zone in on the details, the cleanliness, and find ways to perk this place up. Excellent location but I wouldn't stay here again.

Gaby L.

Yelp
The room was dirty nasty stains on floor, moldy lamp, water leaking under cooler and a roach or water bug underneath. We saw another roach crawl under the floor covering. We slept with the lights on to avoid the bugs. Hallways were dark dingy and dirty. Elevator out of order. Seemed like front desk was understaffed. The restaurant was good & great service and the beds were comfy but that was about it.

Shannon W.

Yelp
Very mediocre hotel. And fairly dirty. The only good thing about this place is the food from the restaurant downstairs, and the location.

Alyana S.

Yelp
I enjoyed the location of this hotel. Overall the cleanliness was not to my liking as there was a cockroach in the stairwell. I do like how it's close to the beach and local restaurants.

Rocky D.

Yelp
PLEASE STAY ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE! This hotel from start to end was awful. The bed must have been picked up off the street or from a garage sale. It had a heavy mold/mildew smell. My girlfriend tried to check us out within 1 hour of being in the room but was informed we would not receive any refund for our 4 day stay. So when I got in later that night I was also blown away by the smell, and started to get light headed. This place should be shut down as it's not safe. Then we noticed a heavy humid/muggy feeling in the room and you could hear everything from outside, that's when I noticed the window won't close. When I went downstairs and told the front desk clerk he was very nice and said we would be refunded. Then his manager called and said we would not receive a refund for that day as the room isn't "ready to rent again". That is such a stupid response. You can't rent the room anyways, it's dangerous to peoples health. So we left right away.

Kylie N.

Yelp
I only stayed at the Clinton Hotel for one night and my experience went smoothly. Upon arriving you need to use a key card to enter or someone at the front desk will need to let you in. This is a great safety measure. The lobby area looked pretty clean and the lady at the front desk was nice. We checked in easily. The elevator is a bit odd, at one point it wasn't working. Thankfully our room was on the second floor so we could use the stairs. Another worker at the hotel helped us find our room since we needed to go across from outside. The room was so cool when we entered (temp controls worked)! The room was spotless, including the bathroom. The bath was my favorite! So spacious! They also had a safe and closet space too. The hotel also has a restaurant right next door called Limonada. The pool shown is behind that restaurant. It is really tiny but cute. Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy that backyard area. The hotel is also in a perfect area with a bunch of restaurants in walking distance. Wynwood is also a cheap uber ride away so you can check out the clubs. I think this is a good place to stay for a short amount of time-I'm not sure about longterm. It seemed to be a bit ghetto since it is in that area. Overall a simple, spacious, clean, and convenient stay.

Annabelle S.

Yelp
this place is really run down. The rooms reek of cigarettes and and bugs. everything was wet all the time from the humidity in the room and the half ass construction was laughable. pretty sure this place is used to deal drugs out of.

Denise A.

Yelp
Giving this a solid four star because of Josie (: I really hope I'm spelling her name right, but Josie was wonderful! Top notch accommodation and customer service skills, whew! I had some events booked around south beach and needed a few extra hours to be able to come back and go but being that check out was at 11am, I was going to not make it back on time. I had expressed my concern to Josie and asked if they had a bell desk service where I could just leave my things with since I was going to be around the area past 11 and did not want to carry my things around with me. Josie confirmed that they did have a bell desk service but instead, she also, extended my check out time to 2pm. I was so grateful for this and Josie thank you so much! Would definitely stay here again, overall, the room was spacious and the location was great (:

Yelp
We stayed at the Clinton hotel for 5 days and we had a great experience. Staff were friendly a very attentive. Gabriela T was exceptional! The location was everything! Walking distance to the beach, ocean drive, Lincoln road mall, española way and everything in between. It has a pool and a fitness center which to be honest did not use at all. I preferred the beach and getting that brutal but amazing Miami heat. The rooms don't have a refrigerator or microwave that's why gave the 4/5 but it does have a mini bar and a mini fridge with liquor you can purchase. I suggest not to do that. There's a 7eleven right across from the hotel where is way cheaper to get bottle waters and soda- they even sell alcohol. For the price and location I would definitely stay here again for sure. They have free tickets to near by clubs that are complimentary. Overall I really enjoyed my time at this petite but cute hotel.

Yelp
Location: very central and 1 block away from the famous Ocean Drive strip yet far enough from the traffic. Rooms: Newly Renovated and very good size; especially for Art Deco hotel. Comfortable pillows! Restaurant: check out Limonada. Brunch was packed and lively. Fun games; backyard hangout with table tennis, sport games and delicious food and some funky drinks! Service: tony & Gaby at the FD are amazing. They greet you and assist you in tours and sightseeing tips Beach: 1 block away. Quick walk

Yelp
Barely 24 hours into my stay here and am not getting a vibe for this place at all. Upon arrival the reception staff are unenthused to greet you and feel like you're an inconvenience for wanting to check in. While I appreciate an early check in, for almost $300 a night for this place, rightfully so. The reception lady was not very thorough with her direction or very helpful unless you were to ask all the questions you need. The elevator is small, old, crusty and questionable in its usage and can basically fit one suitcase and a person. The rooms are small, don't have any inspiring views, no face tissue in the bathrooms and the beds are so soft you feel like you're falling right through them. Don't get me started on the paper thin walls where you can hear any and all footsteps, voices, door slams from the hallway as well as other rooms. I also found a pile of trash in the hallway getting to my room. For a 4 star hotel that is simply unacceptable. Definitely not worth the almost $300 price tag after your taxes and resort fee.

Yelp
Where do i begin? Well for starter my flight got to Miami pretty late. So ended up checking in at midnight, close to 1am. I booked my flight AND hotel through expedia. I was told i needed a credit card on file to hold $268 dollars for any damages and fees. Understandable. But for some reason the machine wasn't picking up my credit card, the front desk night manager Sammy told me immediately, sorry your card isnt registering, call expedia and have them refund your money for the hotel stay and book another hotel. Now as a manager why would that be your FIRST solution? At MIDNIGHT!!!! WHERE THE HELL AM I SUPPOSE TO sleep that NIGHT (12/21/20) the streets? He said the chip isnt reading, i asked him if he could put it manually, he said no. Its against hotel policies and he would be fired. Ok so i offered up another credit card and again the samething, my card wasnt working. So let's think about it.... two credit cards isn't reading..... it has to be the machine. So after i protested for a few minutes he finally decided to call tech services. And told me to wait, i waited a half an hr for him to finally tell me, im sorry, i had to reboot the machine..... now mistakes happen, especially with machine. Im ok with that. But my biggest issue was the fact he was so quick to tell me "just get a refund" as if my business was useless, in addition he didnt even care to take the extra step to make sure his side was good. Ive never been treated so poorly in a hotel establishment and i would never come back or recommend Clinton hotel.

Yelp
Ugh! Where do I begin. This place is not what it's advertised to be. The pictures online are extremely deceiving. The hotel feels old and run down. Our room didn't meet the cleanliness standard that I hold. I honestly felt a bit gross in our room. There was a musty smell throughout our entire stay. The bed frames were not clean at all, the bathroom was dirty, and the overall cleanliness was not there. The pool is located in the center of a restaurant -- there's no way I would lay out or take a swim there. You would be center of attention to all the restaurant customers. Location wasn't great as it felt a bit "rough" outside. There are two markets nearby which was a nice perk. The staff were hit or miss with being friendly. Some staff were extremely pleasant and kind, while others were cold and dismissive. While this might be a more "valuable" option, the cons outweigh the value aspect for me. Stay elsewhere!

Yelp
This is a warning for anyone considering staying at the Clinton. My wife booked the trip through Expedia and the pictures and descriptions used are very misleading. As soon as we pulled up I new it wasn't going to be what is was advertised as. First things first, this isn't a nice area of Miami Beach. Lots of sketchiness for a few blocks around the hotel. I was offered "party supplies" and weed by street dealers every time I walked out of the hotel. I'm also not 100% sure there were "working ladies" working out of the hotel as well. Friday and Saturday there were three women working the block that seemed staying in the hotel. Our room was didn't seem clean at all, in fact we had to have housekeeping come up and wipe down the bathroom because it was filthy. All of our linens and towels seemed cleaned but definitely needed replace, and weren't acceptable for a $300 a night hotel. This is definitely a party hotel, you could here guests having parties in there rooms and the hotel smelled of cannabis. Do yourself a favor and book at a better spot, we went to the Moxy on our last evening and it's a beautiful hip hotel, with great bars and restaurants and we found out we could of stayed there for less money. Also David Grumman and Pharrell opens The Goodtime Hotel just a block down the road and it looks awesome and was less money as well. I didn't let our accommodations ruin our trip we did enjoy Miami. But do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

Yelp
If I could do a 0 stars rating I would. There is mold everywhere in our room. Dried vomit on the side of the bed. Dirty sheets. Do not stay here. Do not just book because of location. It is not worth it...

Yelp
Very dirty, lot of hair on the bed sheet. Disgusting every corner. Photos show nice pic are for sure all fake. It is also in a very bad area. Really scary. We are willing to leave our $2000 to not stay in this place and find other place to stay.

Yelp
good enough stay!! booked through priceline and got a deal. first room had a stained comforter but the front desk upgraded us which was awesome! good location and a cute pool area but it is VERY small. had some issues contacting the front desk when our shower was broken- took a few hours which was frustrating but ultimately got it fixed.

Yelp
Horrible! I did not fly over 1,000 miles away to stay in a moldy, gnat infested building that smelled of mildew. My friends and I planned to relax in a space that was slightly more elevated than our own apartments. Clinton was giving Motel vibes not tropical getaway. When I arrived no one was at the front desk and thankfully someone was exiting or else I would not have been able to enter the building. The building is locked so the receptionist is essential. Once I got in Carl returned to the front desk after socializing with his friends; one of which approached me and began to make passes at me while I was trying to check in. Carl was brief, told me the room number and gave me my key after swiping my card for incidentals. He was preoccupied and when I inquired about a different floor it appeared to be a burden to him. He left briefly came back and checked but the hotel was too full. I waited for my other friend to come. Once I saw her Uber arrived I went to the hotel entrance door and there she was stranded with her luggage. Carl again was NOT at the front desk. When she entered the room she was just as appalled as me but our third friend's husband booked the room so we didn't want to step on toes. Once my third friend arrived she also was not happy and her husband understood. The next day we checked out and checked into the beautiful and overly accommodating Hotel Greystone which I highly recommend. Upon check out, the hotel only agreed to refund my friend's husband for the 1 night left on the reservation and not the night we stayed despite our diplomacy and dissatisfaction. Two days ago, I called to attempt to negotiate a refund for the $85 that was charged to my card for incidentals. Carl picked up and explained they never agreed to refund us for the night we stayed and I will NOT be getting a refund for incidentals without any explanation. He did not offer any other remedy nor apologize. Instead he got loud and repeated to speak over me at which point I ended the call. The building is dumb - I killed 3 gnats in one night. The lamp was stained and room smelled. This hotel needs to be renovated. Carl needs to be fired for so many reasons. I tried to work with the staff for a refund and be on my way but it is best the public knows as I wish my friends and I did so we could have made suggestions to friend's hubby before booking! I highly recommend Hotel Greystone & The goodtime Hotel - both on South Beach.

Yelp
My friend and I visited Miami for my bday this past weekend. We stayed here for 5 days and since the day we checked in, we were assisted by Victor. We told him it was our first time and all 5 days we were there he recommended places for us to go to and they were all amazing and fun! Victor did not only take the time to tell us about Miami, but his customer service was absolutely 100/100! Very professional and nice. Thank you Victor, we are definitely going back to Miami and staying at the Clinton and even refer our friends to stay here. Karla and Anna from Los Angeles

Yelp
While the front desk clerk was a sweet guy, the smell of mildew in the halls and the room were disgusting and made a decent size room feel unbearable to be in. Given I felt allergic (throat and eyes started itching and it felt hard to breathe) in the room it suggests to me it's likely mold. If you aren't mold sensitive, if you are a smoker and have no sense of smell, and you plan to be out most of the time and just want a bed to sleep in, this may be a functional space for you. Maybe if you are content to pass out drunk to distract yourself from the stench? Additionally, there were no face towels or wash clothes in the room, terrible dim bathroom lighting, it took over 5 min for us to get hot water, and the refrigerator was leaking water on the floor. The location is good if you want to be a few blocks from the beach, but not a particularly charming street.

Yelp
We were placed on the first floor which wasn't ideal to me but hey someone has to stay there right? My biggest issue when we first walked in was a water stained lamp shade which they replaced immediately so it was a nonissue. What I didn't like however was that they charge you a resort fee but barely give you anything for it. They place alllll these minibar and snack items on your desk that are overly priced including THE COFFEE. I understand the fridge but the desk? And what hotel charges you to drink the coffee? I didn't even notice it was on the list until after I drank two cups and got charged $5 just for coffee. Their continental breakfast is actually continental which almost nobody does anymore. I just grabbed a coffee and hit up Ocean Drive for a real meal. The air conditioning unit is super loud so you hear it all day and all night long which prevented me from easily falling asleep on the second night. They also provide you with two complimentary beach chairs at the beach (even if you book with 4 people). We thought that was awesome but do note you have to redeem it at a very specific location on the beach or you'll be walking nonstop in the sand looking for it (I don't wanna talk about it! Lol). Also, a beach umbrella is NOT included so you'll have to add an additional $20 for the umbrella. They keep your spot from 9:30am - 6pm if you need them to. We only needed it for two hours though. Bring your own water and snacks because we ended up paying $4 just for one bottle of water, but that's a South Beach problem. Back to the hotel: The walls are also paper thin and the guys next to us were insanely loud in the morning. We really didn't spend much time in the room but the pros were that the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom clean and the closet spacious enough. I'm not sure if I would stay at this hotel again. I stayed here before their renovations and loved it but now it's just beautiful without much given to the consumer. South Beach hotels seem to be lacking in catering to the consumer. They're more focused on making money. I'm just used to a more hospitable hotel experience.
