Clinton Street Social Club

Been here 5+ times now - great experience, especially with the drinks and the happy hour food (haven't tried a real meal yet here - not sure if that's their specialty). Anyways - have come with groups ranging from just one friend to a birthday party with 15 people in the pool table room - and it's been great service, great drinks every time. Really good quality stuff - and at happy hour you have an awesome deal - especially with half price tap beers (great selection of local craft), and good selection of cocktails. The fried cheese curds are amazing. Oysters are solid too (and I have lived in the pacific northwest for 15 years before coming to Iowa - so I know).

Overall a 3.5. I decided to round up for it because I think the drink menu is pretty solid for those into cocktails and the door menu is attempting to be as progressive. For my few days in town this was the most gastro style place around. Service at bar was beyond horrible. Had the crab pot - meh. Cool idea but lacking flavor. Hanger steak - This was very good. Cooked perfectly, tender, flavorful and served with good accompaniments. Large piece of meat for a hanger. Beignets - a twist on the classic. The flavor was decently close but not quite the same. Still it’s enough to bring back those warm memories. Worth going: yea, I think so. Certainly more expensive than most places in the area but most progressive menu and good drinks. Environment was trendy and is a welcomed change from the college scene surrounding it.

This place was absolutely awesome. They have a full cocktail menu and plenty of spirits for you to choose from. They have fresh oysters that are just out of this world, would highly recommend. Staff is dressed to the 9s and they are welcoming and very friendly. Highly recommend making a stop here

Unique, quiet, low key place with tasty selections of creative food options. Large selection of drinks as well. Staff is attentive and helpful. Pleasantly surprised with flavors. Nicely done. Strongly recommend.

My husband and I came into the city for the IA game and found this gem! Enjoyed the drinks, conversation and Justin (mixologist) so much we returned the next night! Can't wait for our next trip! So many creative drinks and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Thanks for the great service Justin, happy birthday!

Wonderful attention to detail. Comfortable, quaint setting. Interesting varied drink menu, and a nice happy hour.

Always enjoy my visits. Enjoy the atmosphere and thier cocktails. One of my favorites items (not in the menu) is thier bucket of bacon.
