Cloghaun Bed & Breakfast

Our stay at Cloghaun Bed and Breakfast was very memorable and exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect and is just a short walk from the ferry dock. Our room had a small deck overlooking the street and a private bath. Very nice to have the deck to watch all of the horse and bike traffic. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. All of our breakfasts were very good and had a nice variety. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend Cloghaun B and B and we would definitely stay there again on any return trip!!

A perfect stay in a beautiful location. One street over from the busy, loud main drag. Very convenient location for ferry services, restaurants, and local shops. The whole home is full of beautiful antiques and historical photos. We watched many tourists Ooo and Aww at the magical flowers and landscaping in front of the home. The Bridget suite has an amazing view from your private balcony, perfect for people watching and late night talks when the town quiets. The room also had a private bath and shower, as well as a very comfortable bed with a pretty canopy. Breakfast was served each morning with several cold cereal options, fruit, warm dishes, homemade breads, and hot coffee. It was delicious each morning of our 5 night stay. Homemade cookies and tea are served in the afternoon. All of the staff are friendly and really go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. Housekeeping changed linens and refreshed the room everyday. We really enjoyed relaxing in the room or balcony between eating, hiking, biking, fudging, and sipping all the island had to offer. We stayed four nights at the Cloghaun Bed and Breakfast and had a wonderful time. The B&B is charming and elegantly decorated, our room was very comfortable and clean. It’s in a quiet location, but centrally located and a short walk from all the shops, restaurants and waterfront. The B&B’s host was very friendly and focused on making sure her quests were enjoying their stay. She prepared a different homemade breakfast every morning, consisting of hot food, fresh fruit and breads, the food was excellent. If you are planning to stay on the island I would highly recommend you stay at the Cloghaun Bed and Breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Cloghaun. The house was beautiful and our room was clean and pleasant. All the staff were friendly and very welcoming. The breakfasts were awesome. We would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Island.

In March, we decided to go to Mackinac Island for a couple of days in mid-May. We chose the Cloghaun for our B&B. It was an excellent choice. The B&B was cozy and the hospitality was superb. Our room was so nice (the Dellie room). And we survived without a TV (lol). The breakfasts were delicious as well as the snacks during afternoon tea time. If the weather was a tad bit warmer, we would have sat on the front porch a lot longer to watch the people and carriages passing by on Market Street. We will definitely stay at Cloghaun again the next time we visit Mackinac Island.

We could not have asked for a better experience for our first time staying overnight on the Island. The Kitty Suite was perfect for my husband and I and our two adult children. The homemade breakfast each morning was outstanding and pleased even our picky special needs adult child. The afternoon tea and homemade treat was a lovely welcome after a day of exploring the island. We would take our sweet treat and tea out on the covered porch and relax for the afternoon hours before our evening activities would begin. ||The "at home" feeling and attention we received from the three outstanding staff (I still cannot believe that there are only three of them that run this Irish gem of a Bed & Breakfast) with the utmost care and love that we felt from the moment we arrived to the moment we had to say good bye. ||Cloghaun Bed & Breakfast truly is an Irish gem sparkling brightly wishing each patron: walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, and all your heart might desire.

I loved the look and the ambiance of this bed and breakfast. Clover and Maureen took great care in making sure we were comfortable. 10/10 recommend staying here if you are on Mackinac Island for a few days.

A lovely B & B a block off the Main Street which makes it a bit quieter yet close to the Shepler Dock. a great view from the porch for people watching. ||Clover the on-sight inn keeper is about as friendly and welcoming as one could be along with being an excellent cook. Breakfasts were wonderful. Her helper was the same. If I had one thing to change it would be that it is time for new mattresses. Both our friends and us agreed on that point. ||I would highly recommend this lovely B n B

It was a wonderful coincidence when my BFF and I shared with each other the idea of celebrating our birthdays in Mackinac Island. I've been to Mackinac twice before, the most recent July 2023. I felt familiar and comfortable making our arrangements. I'm so glad I chose Cloghaun B&B. The location put us conveniently close to the places we wanted to experience (Grand Hotel, Jack's Livery, the Fort, restaurants, etc). We had a lovely room (Anna). Each morning the breakfast was delicious and interesting. Thank you to Clover and Carlene (spelling?) for being gracious and welcoming. If I'm lucky enough to return, I would stay no where else.

Beware!!!! I had to file a fraud report on this B&B because they charged my card 3 times and I did not stay here! Im shocked that they would charge my card 1 month after. Thieves!!!

Beautiful and friendly atmosphere! The house is right up the street from downtown and the ferry. The staff was friendly and the property was clean. The front has a decent sized deck surrounded by beautiful flowers, with chairs to relax both on the lawn and the deck. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it when staying on Mackinac island!

Very unprofessional and rude. Did not help with our reservations. Made the overall experience unwelcoming. If you plan to reserve with your family, I would strongly advise to look elsewhere.

Just stayed two nights at this lovely B&B! We felt very welcome throughout our stay. The inn keeper made sure our stay was comfortable and gave us a tour upon arrival. We stayed in one of the two rooms that doesn't have a private bath and you share a bathroom down the hall. It was a little awkward for us so we probably would choose a room with a private bath next time or stay somewhere where we could have a private bath. When I booked the reservation this was the only room they had available so we tried it! They offer morning coffee starting at 7:30am and breakfast at 8 am. They also offer afternoon tea from 3-5 pm. One day they served local fudge it was so good! The porch is so great to sit on in the morning or evening!!! Also, it is in a great location near the ferry docks and shops! The innkeeper also made our taxi reservations for us which was so helpful. Overall, a very lovely stay!

Cloghaun offers a Historic and relaxing stay. The location on Market st is fantastic. While sitting in the porch you get to see the traffic flow. The rooms are so unique- and filled with gorgeous antiques. Breakfast was homemade every morning and truthfully- I'm ruined now because my homemade ones are not as good . I love how you feel at home with snacks and drinks always available. Suzy was so great from when you check in till when you leave. Highly recommend staying here for the charm is an added bonus to Mackinac.

Wow, what more can I say. Our stay was wonderful, and words cannot do it justice. We honeymooned here 10/22-10/23, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Our trip was spectacular, and the shining highlight was the Cloghaun! We stayed in room 10, which had a large, beautiful, antique tub and bed along with period art and furniture. The mattress was comfortable, pillows plush, towels were overstocked in abundance, and our room was immaculately clean. We were tickled pink by the glycerin soap provided which smelled like gardenias (to me, very light floral) and the lovely quilt on our bed. The staff was exceptional. We had many wonderful conversations and felt at home. Being that it was the off season, we were one of the few couples there, and we were treated like VIP guests. They had great recommendations for food, and were always happy to help with a smile. We also booked a "special deal" where due to us staying on non-peak times in the off season we received an excellent rate. This included a hot breakfast with delicious strata and coffee cake, and a tea time with their 7 layer bars and a selection of teas that you could have in their lovely china. Those 7 layer bars. Oh my goodness. My husband and I could have eaten them out of house and home! I could not recommend this place more to anyone. We will definitely stay again!

This was a wonderful place to stay on Mackinac Island. The staff was warm and welcoming. We stayed in room #4 because it has 2 full size beds which were very comfortable and a private bathroom with walk in shower. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and afternoon tea beverages and snacks. The front porch chairs were very relaxing. The location was perfect, only a block from the ferry docks and we could walk to restaurants and the Grand Hotel. I highly recommend this B&B!

We can not praise this establishment enough! Super clean, exceptionally friendly/personable staff, beautifully built/decorated, and the location could not be beat. It is just off the main stretch, but still within a two minute walk from the ferry docks. Unbelievable and unbeatable. We stayed on a Thursday evening in the off season (early October) and the price could not be beat. We paid less for this B&B than we did for a dive motel in Sault Ste Marie the next evening. We had a "shared bathroom" but that meant only shared with one other room. Turned out that room wasn't even booked so we had it to ourselves. We will be back for sure. We're still shocked at how excellent Cloghaun B&B is.

Beautiful little bed and breakfast in a great location. Recommend a room with a balcony where you can sit, relax, and listen to horses and bikes go by.

A great little place just one block up from all the restaurants, bars, and shops on Main Street. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The property was beautiful and has a great front balcony overlooking the street filled with horse drawn carriages. The afternoon snacks and breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to go around, even for my picky 4 year old niece.

Awesome place. Best b&b on the island. Service was great, very cozy and clean. I plan on staying here every time I come to the island.
