We got married here in September and were blown away by every detail- the beautiful venue, the rooms, the food, the cake, the amazing and attentive staff. We have also visited here before for meals at Gimmi and for one of their candlelight events. We cannot recommend the place enough for all events and will continue to visit every year. A Dream Wedding at Chiostro dei Domenicani – Perfection in Every Detail We are from Canada and had the immense joy of celebrating our wedding at Chiostro dei Domenicani in Lecce—and we can say without hesitation: this venue is pure magic. From the moment we stepped foot on the property during our first visit, we knew it was the one. The Chiostro is a breathtaking blend of history and modern elegance, calm and classy, just a short walk from Lecce’s historic center. We had planned to visit other venues, but signed immediately. That’s how sure we were—and we were right. We hosted five unforgettable days of celebrations: a welcome dinner, the wedding itself, and a post-wedding brunch. Every moment was flawless. The hotel is extraordinary, the food was out of this world, and the staff… well, they became family. Carlo, our event manager, was our hero. Planning a wedding from across the ocean is no small feat, but Carlo made it feel effortless. He understood our vision, answered every question with warmth and speed, and was a calming presence throughout. On the wedding day, he was everywhere—ensuring perfection with grace and professionalism. He’s not just an expert; he’s passionate, kind, and deeply connected to Lecce. Thanks to him, we discovered local gems and felt truly immersed in the city. Carlo started as our planner and ended as a dear friend. Gabriele, the hotel manager, was a lifesaver. He orchestrated room assignments, transportation, and local reservations with lightning speed and genuine care. Our guests felt pampered and welcomed at every turn. Special shoutouts to the dream team: - Sara at reception – always charming, helpful, and a delight for our French-speaking guests. - Vincenzo – who treated us like royalty during the wedding, anticipating every need before we even voiced it. - Ilaria – our wine whisperer and bar queen, who made the tasting and wedding night sparkle. - Alessandro – who won our hearts a year before at Gimmy (the hotel restaurant you must try!). His warmth made everyone feel instantly at home. We can’t name everyone, but every single staff member contributed to the magic. Their kindness, professionalism, and joy made our wedding not just beautiful, but deeply meaningful. Chiostro dei Domenicani isn’t just a venue—it’s an experience, a feeling, a memory etched in our hearts. We can’t wait to return, not just as guests, but as family.

Great personnel, friendly, helpful and patient, even with me being tired and unpatient after a long trip…great room, airy, beautifully equipped, nice seats on the vast terrace. Beautiful building! Then great lunch in the hotel restaurant with very nice staff again! Parking along the street opposite hotel or parking lot just 2 steps away.

We had the most perfect wedding day on 30th August 2025 at this incredible venue. Everything was just a dream - there really are no words in this review that can do our wedding experience justice, but we will try our best! Firstly, the beautiful venue speaks for itself. The cloisters are absolutely stunning and we loved the historical feel that the building offers. The hotel rooms are also modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. The food on the wedding day was incredible, with so many options that we were able to pick from in the planning process. The entire staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely wonderful, but there are a few staff members that we must highlight individually. Carlo, the event manager, truly was phenomenal. We were initially worried about planning a wedding abroad, but he gave us total confidence throughout the process, with regular video calls and almost instantaneous responses to our whatsapp messages leading up to the wedding (even on weekends)! Carlo was able to suggest fantastic vendors for all aspects of the wedding day through his knowledge and experience of planning weddings in the area, including recommending a fantastic spot for a welcome event the night before the wedding. You can tell that he loves his job and taking care of his guests; he was as fully invested in the day as we were and had a great energy and friendliness whenever we spoke with him. Even when a freak rainstorm came just before the main course, he kept his cool, and transitioned the entire wedding party indoors seamlessly, and everything continued without a hitch. Gabriele, the hotel manager, was also a delight to deal with. He made sure all of our on site guests were taken care of, and was able to facilitate any bespoke requests we had during our stay - even moving the wedding dress from room to room the days before the wedding to ensure the groom and guests didn’t accidentally see it before the big day! A special mention must also go to all waiting staff on the big day, including Davide, who worked tirelessly behind the cocktail bar serving our 100 guests from start to finish, and Sara on reception, who was always so helpful, warm and welcoming to us. It was truly the best day of our lives, so much so that we have already started planning a return visit next year. Chiostro Dei Domenicani will always hold such a special place in our hearts. Stayed only one night but I am already missing this place. The building is amazing, inspiring, relaxing. The room was beautiful, the staff super nice and very helpful. It was just wonderful!

We cannot thank the team at Chiostro dei Domenicani enough for hosting our group for 3 days for our wedding in July. Carlo went way above and beyond from day one of touring the venue until our wedding day and afterward. Not only is Carlo a true expert, he is an incredible host - always putting his couples first and doing his best to accommodate their wishes. From Gabriele managing all of our hotel guests seamlessly, to Alessandro making sure all of our meals were well managed, to Ilaria the queen of hospitality - we are so grateful for you all. We also thank Sara, Davide, Leonardo and the entire staff who truly go above and beyond for their guests.

I got married here and it was such a great experience. Carlo was very helpful and ran the day of the wedding seamlessly. Everything came together perfectly and the whole staff was amazing. We also stayed with our guests in the hotel for 3 nights and the hotel staff was amazing. Gabriel at the front desk was so helpful and everyone went above and beyond for us. Big thank you to the whole team! I highly recommend for a wedding or any event.

We had our wedding at Chiostro dei Dominicani, and the experience was beyond amazing. Planning a wedding from Canada could have been stressful, but thanks to the incredible staff it became truly effortless and unforgettable. We are endlessly grateful to Carlo, the event manager, who truly made our dream wedding come to life. With his calm presence, thoughtful advice, and constant support, he gave us the gift of fully enjoying every moment without any stress. We will never forget his dedication and kindness. Our heartfelt thanks also go to Gabriele at the reception, who went above and beyond in caring for us and our guests. From arranging transportation, to helping with extra nights, to warmly welcoming everyone — she was there for us at every step with grace and generosity. We are so deeply thankful for her. We also wish to thank the other reception managers (forgive us for not remembering every name), who, together with Gabriele, made us and our family feel so cared for throughout our two-night stay. The waiters during our welcome dinner and wedding night were outstanding, and the food on both evenings was simply fantastic. The venue itself is breathtaking — stunning cloisters, elegant rooms, and 5* service — but it is truly the people who made our wedding so special. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us and our family memories we will cherish forever. We can’t wait to return one day.
