"A five-minute walk from Chacras de Coria’s central plaza, you’ll find Clos de Chacras, a charming historic winery that has been delicately restored. Owned by a winemaking family whose ancestors emigrated from Switzerland in the late 1800s, Clos de Chacras’ wine and cuisine both feature a touch of European flair. The restaurant’s menu is predominantly Italian mingled with hints of French sauces and familiar Argentinean staples and cooking styles. The dishes change with the seasons so that the freshest ingredients are used. The tasting menu offers four courses with three wines, or you can order a la carte. Artisan olive oil, cheeses, ice cream and jam complement Clos de Chacras’ Gran Estirpe wine. In the warmer months enjoy alfresco dining on the patio, or move inside by the cozy fireplace on chillier nights. Monte Libano S/N, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza ; +56 261 496 1285"

This charming little winery offers a stunning setting and an unforgettable dining experience. We enjoyed a beautifully curated four-course menu with perfectly paired wines. The flavors were exquisite, and the portion sizes just right. The wine selection was equally impressive, showcasing both variety and quality. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable for the amazing experience.

Went in March 2024, an absolutely lovely lunch! Highly recommend. It was such a beautiful setting and VERY generous wine pours. Delicious meal. Everything was perfect 🥰

We did a wine tasting 4 wines with a small food pairing that was very reasonablely priced. Everyone at the winery was very nice. I recommend coming early so you can walk around the absolutely stunning grounds. We also sighted several beautiful birds. It's truly a great place to visit

We had a brilliant experience here today. We chose the 4 course tasting menu with matching wines and it was fabulous. Food was great with generous portions, and a nice variety of wines (rose, malbec, cab sav blend, sparking) which accompanied the food perfectly (and were generously topped up), The service staff were exceptional and attended to us in English. A special shout out to Victoria for looking after us. Well done, team!

Can't recommend the tour enough!! I had a great time doing the tasting, the guide was so friendly and she took her time with us and was very patient with so many questions. It's a very peaceful place to spend sometime in as well, the tour and tasting was 15.000 which is very reasonable. I did a similar tour at a bigger Winery but the one at Clos de Chacras was Definitely more fun.

I had a fantastic experience here. They were able to adapt the menu gluten free and safe for celiacs / sin TACC and confirmed that separate kitchen items were used that have never touched anything with gluten. Apart from this, the six course lunch menu and accompanying wines were absolutely delicious. Really a premium experience! There is a lovely terrace to sit next to the water, beautiful surroundings, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Cannot recommend this winery and restaurant enough. Victoria, our server, was beyond fantastic. She had passion for the food, wine, place, and was so incredibly nice. The food was some of the best we've had anywhere and the wine was excellent. I implore you to come here!

Yelp
We did a wine tasting at this old winery and loved the experience. We especially liked that they incorporate little bites to explain the different qualities of the wines depending on the food they are paired with. The tasting was followed by a tour of the winery that was also interesting.

Yelp
Wonderful tour and tasting experience from this family run winery! I made a same day reservation online and arrived at the winery a little early. One of the employees asked if I wanted to join an English tour 30 minutes later than the one I scheduled, and I said yes. She offered me a malbec rosé to enjoy in the shop or at a table by the lake. I chose to sit outside and found it to be a beautiful place to enjoy my book and wine. The rosé happened to be the best wine of the five that I tried during my visit. The tour itself shares the beautiful history of how the winery was founded, lost, and bought back by the founders granddaughter, who will pass it down to her children. The guide showed us the cellar, original tanks, and a small exhibition. She also explained the wine making process from when the winery first opened. It was definitely the best tour I had in Mendoza. The tasting was saved for the end and was set up nicely. Everyone had a plate of amuse-bouche to be paired with each wine, and they easily accommodated me with a vegetarian selection. The guide took her time to explain each wine, the proper way to taste, and what foods to pair. She was also patient in answering everyone's questions. We tasted one white and three red wines, I felt the reds we tasted were much too dry but did enjoy the white wine. It was a lovely chardonnay that wasn't aged in oak, so it didn't have that smokey flavor. The total experience was five stars! I really loved my visit, but I am taking a star off because I didn't find all the wines to be of the best quality.

Yelp
Fantastic! Not our first winery, but definitely our favorite. It was cool to see the original cellars and fermentation vats. The wines were great and I will definitely look for them when I get home. Our guide Martina was excellent!

Yelp
You must have a reservation for lunch. This reservation also gets you through the gate to the property. We unfortunately did not have the gift of time to wander more extensively around the property before lunch. If you do get a chance, make sure you have some time. Lunch can be a three hour excursion. The day was beautiful and we were seated outside by small pond with Koloa fish. We signed up for the six course lunch with wine pairing. Attention to detail on each course was exquisite. Even though each course was a small tapas size, we left full and satisfied. Before each course was served, the wine and food were described in detail along with their characteristics. We finished our meal and pairing, and were quite satiated, and a bit tipsy. My only negative is, that they allow smoking outside on the patio were guest are dining.

Yelp
Food: 4 Service: 2 Ambiance: 3.5 We came here for lunch after a bike and wine tour. This review is only for the restaurant, as we did not do the wine tour. We had the 7-course menu (this was what was included with our bike tour and already paid for, so we didn't have the option to order from the menu) -- the food was not bad but also not memorable - mostly typical Argentine fare, nice that it seemed locally sourced. The reason why we're giving 3 stars is mostly for the service -- we arrived and were seated at around 1:45pm and finished eating at 5pm. There were a lot of mishaps over the course of the meal as well (the waitress would bring out the wrong wine pairing or we'd be served the wine pairing but the food it was meant to accompany would arrive almost 15-20 minutes after the wine, or vice versa). Almost everything after the 2 or 3rd course took nearly 20 minutes or more to arrive. The last straw for us was the dessert, which was a small (about 2 fingers width) pre-made brownie and a dollop of ice cream and mouse with some jam - this dessert took FORTY MINUTES to arrive, and this was after I lost my patience and went to speak with their staff, so not sure how long it would have taken if it weren't for my getting up and talking to them. IThis entire time we were sitting outside under the sun (there's a cloth awning but the heat from the sun still comes through) in 30+ Celsius degree weather. If it was cooler weather, the ambiance might have been nicer - the koi pond next to the tables is a nice touch. I understand that food takes a while to prepare, but the service here is truly abysmal, to the point where our entire mood was soured after what was a very nice bike/wine tour. TLDR; food was good, but service took way too long. Only go here if you have 3-4 hours to spare in your day, the majority of which will be waiting for your food to arrive. Otherwise I'd say skip this restaurant.

Yelp
Excellent attention and explanation. Very interesting with delicious wines at a decent price. An absolutely adorable vineyard and restaurant. Can highly recommend a visit and to stay for lunch. The food was delicious and the atmosphere super relaxing. Beware to ring them beforehand to get instructions on how to get there because it's badly signposted.

Yelp
Fantastic wine pairing lunch. This was our last stop our day-long tour and ordered the three course meal with wine pairing. I ordered the pasta main dish and my wife and mom ordered the beef. Both were spectacular! The empanada appetizer with fig chutney was the stand out appetizer as the cream of corn was just average. Each course had a tasty wine to go along with it. The dessert was a candied pear with delicious malbec ice cream. Afterwards, we went on a short bilingual tour that was very interesting.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW. One of the oldest wineries and one of the more unique ones I have visited. We had a large-ish group reservation for lunch and along with it came a brief tour of the grounds, which were beautiful. We were taken through the tank rooms, as well as the underground area that used to be the tanks - now holding the bottles. Very cool! Explanations were thorough and insightful and got us excited to finally try the final products! For lunch, you have the option for a 3-course or 7-course tasting menu (very reasonable pricing). Both included wine pairings. Went with the 3 course and it was fantastic (app - zucchini rolls with ricotta cheese topped off with grapefruit jam; starter - empanadas; main - steak). The wines that came along with the appetizer, starter and main were perfect. Our waitress did a wonderful job in describing the different wines (Chardonnay and 2 different types of Malbecs). I'm not the biggest wine drinker but wanted to purchase all the bottles post lunch. Unfortunately, I didn't have room to do so :(. Definitely planning to come back if I ever find myself back in Mendoza.

Yelp
Cute family winery that's worth the find! This winery is old and is located within a neighborhood town, with a gate. Once you're on the grounds they welcome you in and provide a tour and tasting. We were greeted with a taste of Rose' wine which was refreshing! The tour included seeing the original concrete tanks from 1924 and the small vineyard on site. Our guide, Francisco was very Informative and brought out 4 distinct wines to taste including a buttery Chardonnay, a peppery Malbec, a bold Cab Sauv, and finally a fruitful Cab franc. It's nice to find a small town operation that cares about each barrel they make.

Yelp
This review is for the wine tasting and tour. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the vineyard. The setting for the tasting is outside next to the pond. I fell in love with the Sauvignon Franc there. It's a boutique winery and you need a reservation to visit. If in the area stop by for a tasting.

Yelp
We had signed up for the bodega tour and wine tasting but showed up late and missed the tour and tasting. Nicolas was incredibly hospitable, personally showing us around the entire facility and having us try some wines, and refusing to accept any money from us. Excellent service and terrific wines..
