Clos Marcamps is a beautiful place which has been restored to a high standard. It's a little oasis of calm with a relaxing atmosphere. The grounds are a lovely sanctuary, with the swimming pool a great spot to relax in the recent very hot weather. The hosts can't do enough for you - very welcoming and gave lots of useful advice about places to see in the area, best places to park etc. These tips made our stay even more enjoyable. |You could choose either to stay put and chill or to travel around the area, as the accommodation is well placed for access to Bordeaux, Blayes, the Bay of Arcadian, Dune de Pilat and St Emilion. |We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace - the food provided was of very good quality and locally sourced. We thoroughly recommend a stay here. I was shocked to see an earlier adverse review as it was at odds with our experience, but reading between the lines this seemed to be more about the bad behaviour of the guests concerned.

What a beautiful find on the outskirts of Bordeaux. Clos Marcamps has been beautifully renovated. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is superb. Everything you require is in the room. No expense has been spared. Unfortunately we only stayed one night so didn’t get to use the swimming pool. We will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality.

Beautiful room and grounds. Helpful host. Enjoyed having the private spa outside our room. Good breakfast. A little hard to find if your using GPS. It takes you past the front entrance to the corner of nowhere. The gates are big and white and at the very beginning of the road. Sign is very small.

What an amazing place to stay! A true oasis. Everything was superb. Beautiful room and lovely setting. The host Jean Phillipe was truly attentive and helpful. Our little dog loved the setting. We day tripped to St Emilion which is a short 30 minute trek away and our host recommended Cafe de La Gare for dinner. We will be back. We can highly recommend this stunning hotel.

Beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet, exceptional hosts.|I stayed at the clos Marcamps during a business trip as I enjoy these kind of places more than hotels. It was conveniently located for the office, looked good on the web so I booked.|The room is comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The shower is perfect with rainfall head and nice hot water too.|What did set this stay apart? I got sick during my stay and the host Virginie and Jean-Philippe got me some meds and things I needed to get over it. That is care and service! |Will I stay here again? This will be my place to stay anytime I will have a business trip over here and if one of their room is available.|Thank you again to Jean-Philippe and Virginie for being such wonderful hosts.

We spent 4 nights at this delightful place this week and loved it. The grounds are very peaceful and beautifully kept and buildings lovingly restored and maintained. We used the swimming pool a couple of times too and it was kept clean and at a comfortable temperature. A welcome addition especially in the very warm weather. Nothing was too much trouble for Jean-Phillipe or indeed the staff serving the delicious and varied breakfasts in lovely garden surroundings. He also spent a nice long time explaining the facilities available and giving great advice of where to visit (and where not to visit 😊) including best places to park. I’ve read the poor reviews of certain people who visited a week before us and can conclude that it must be the visitors who must be vindictive and clearly don’t know how to behave. Clos Marcamps is also placed well for visiting the local area such as Bordeaux, St Emilion, Blayes (citadel - not the town! sorry) and the Corniche, and Arcachon & Cap Ferret (by passenger ferry from Arcachon) which are particularly delightful. Also as a stop off for Spain. Merci beaucoup. Nous reviendrons. Paul et Kathryn xx

We stayed here for 2 nights with our baby and dog, en route from England to Italy and it was just beautiful. The pool is fantastic, the bedroom was great, the breakfast was absolutely superb and the hosts were wonderful. Jean-Philippe was very helpful with local recommendations before we arrived and during our stay. Saint Emilion is a must visit whilst you’re staying here.very dog friendly! We’d love to come back soon! Would highly recommend.

I had an incredible stay here for my first time in Bordeaux. The level of kindness and professionalism of the hosts, Virginie and Jean-Phillpe, was outstanding and I felt very welcomed throughout my entire stay. The breakfast was phenomenal and the rooms/property is beautiful. I would love to revisit Clos Marcamps - Teritoria in the near future.
