Been here a few times now and overall, this place is great value and quality! Today, I tried their braised pork rice (14.00). The pork is plentiful and very tasty though its not as tender as other places. That said, having the extra texture makes this satisfying. It comes with their pickles, a whole soy sauce egg, bean curd, and some dried pork fluff. Their pickled are amazing as are their sides! Sometimes you get Taiwanese cauliflower though today it came with yu choy. I've also tried their chicken nugget rice (14.00) and deep fried chicken chop rice (14.00). Both dishes come with the same aforementioned pickles, veggies, and whole egg with rice on the side. Between the two, I'd recommend the nuggets as they're wonderfully seasoned, juicy and crispy. The chicken chop is also juicy and crispy but it's not as flavourful as the nuggets. They also have a braised pork chop rice bento (14.00), though I wasn't a fan of this. It's seasoned and marinated well but it's very boney. Cash only. If you're getting takeout, make sure you bring a bag since they don't provide any.

Huge portions. Good prices , sign on the board is what you pay incl. taxes. It was quite fast despite being really busy. I prefer takeout from here as the seating for the food court is usually packed. This time tried the chicken nuggets + rice set meal this came with veggies ,egg and tofu for $14. Chicken is always really fresh , hot and crispy. Like most stalls it is cash only ( or wechat/ alipay I think ). Sometimes they also have offers / coupons through Fantuan app even for pickup.

Google
There was a fantuan promotion that offered a discount, 12 dollar small chicken was 7 dollars. A small chicken is really big; excellent portions. The spicy seasoning was a must add (self serve).

Google
By far my favourite food court stall. I go here almost every week because the food is so delicious and satisfying. For $14, you can get a heaping amount of Taiwanese chicken nuggets or pork chops along with side dishes and rice. My favourite has to be their pickled cucumbers; there must be crack in this because it is sooooo good. The service is always excellent and the lady even gave me an extra egg one time because mine was cut in half. Definitely a must try if your in Richmond forsho

Google
Food court style Taiwanese takeout. Food was quite good, but had to wait 35minutes for my order. People ordering after me got their food, ate, and left before I received mine. Told it’s coming , I’m next , over and over. Line ups to order was also long. Been here before and usually ended up waiting and waiting.

Google
Have been coming here several times and the best dish this restaurant has to offer ... the Taiwanese salty peppery fried chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets are seasoned perfectly and crispy. The sides usually vary and this time they included a tea egg, picked cucumbers, tofu, shanghai bok choy and tofu. Side of rice is a must. Note: the BBQ stuff was from another store at Aberdeen mall. Had a feast that night. lol.

Google
This place is amazing. $14 for a large portion of Taiwanese style fried chicken. Lady is super nice and friendly too, and efficient. The place sells out super quick so go early if you want a portion! The real taste of Taiwanese value and quality!

Yelp
Portions were huge and the prices were relatively tiny. Good Taiwanese flavours. Be prepared for a line-up during peak hours. TIP: Order ahead before they sell out of their fried chicken.

Yelp
This place is located in the Empire Centre food court. I don't have a whole lot to say since I didn't actually eat the food here. It was my husband who ordered the food and shared it with our daughter. He ordered some Taiwanese style chicken nuggets. He says he's ordered it here before and that this place is known for their Taiwanese chicken. The portion was very generous; the meat is moist and tender. (according to him) It came with a separate container of rice. Looked like a very filling meal and a lot more than one person would need. So it's a good thing the two of them were sharing it. Parking: Plentiful and free

Yelp
Let's start with the good stuff. My son and I are have cravings for Taiwanese food and we've heard lots of good stuff about Cloud 9, a Taiwanese stall located in Empire Centre's Food Court. We ordered the Taiwanese Chicken Nuggets + Rice Combo (#3) and the Deep Fried Chicken Fillet + Rice Combo (#4). Combos come with sides of pickled cucumbers, veg, tofu, and marinated egg--loved all the sides. And both the Chicken Nuggets and DF Chicken (comes with 3 thighs) were really good. The food definitely did not disappoint. For $14 a combo and the amount of food you get, that's really good value considering how much everything cost nowadays. Food rating, definitely a solid 4. Now, for the experience. There's a small line up, maybe about 4 people ahead of me--and line ups a good thing, you know that this place have good food. So I waited in line just like everyone else. But when it came to me, she stopped taking orders. I'm like, ok, she's taken enough orders and needs to put them all in. She went in to put the orders in and came back out to start prepping side dishes. No worries. But, I continued to wait, right in front of her. Waited, and waited, and waited. Until someone came up from behind me and started ordering, and she was going to take it. I was like, um excuse me, I was next since I've been waiting here. Politely, of course. Put in my order and got a number. Done. Just have to wait for our food. Here's the second half of the experience. My son and I watched as each person got their food. No biggie. Then, the second wave of people that ordered after us got their food. Ok, they didn't call our number yet. We'll keep waiting. Then, the third wave of people that ordered after us got their food. Ok, patience is a virtue. It shouldn't be long now. Then, the fourth wave of people got their order and finished their food. Alright, patience has its limits when you're hungry and don't want to get it to the hangry phase. It's called prevention. It's been over 30 minutes at this point (yes, I checked based on my YELP check-in time). So, had to go up to her and ask when our order will be ready. She replied, a couple of minutes. And a couple minutes came and we got both our food. Based on our experience, service is 2 star. I'm going to add the parking experience here, a bit of context, I avoid Empire Centre like I avoid tipping fast food establishments. Please note, this has no weight on this establishment's star rating. Since it's before 11a on a Saturday morning, we went straight up to the parkade. The main lot is already chaotic at this time. The parkade was about 70% full when we go up top. By the time, we left (an hour later), peeps are waiting and circling in the parkade. Leaving the parkade to go to Hazelbridge, good luck. No one's gonna let you go and will block parkade exit. This is my fault as I forgot to turn my Asian on. We would have shaved off a good 8-10 minutes and probably pissed people off on top.

Yelp
Attended the Empire Centre Food Court yesterday around 2:00PM and was surprised to see the place was almost full after the lunch rush hour. I went to Cloud 9 Delicacy to check out their Deep Fried Chicken Nuggets based on the recommendation of Anson and Angely, Food vloggers. For $14.00, I got steamed rice, lots of crispy and crunchy deep fried chicken nuggets, 4 side dishes and an empty cup for tea. There's a hot tea dispenser on the counter. The side dishes were: pickled cucumber (very good), tofu skin (very tasty), cauliflower (a little bit salty) and a soy sauced boiled egg. The nuggets were substantial, I ate half and took the other half home. Apparently, this is what they are famous for and most of the customers were buying to eat there or taking them home. I, too, would recommend this place. Love their pickled cucumbers and the tofu skin.

Yelp
After hearing so much about the salty peppery chicken here, I just had to come by for a taste. Parking is available in the Empire lot outside. Staff are friendly. Looks like a mom and pop. I messed up and accidentally ordered a "large chicken nugget" instead of "chicken nugget combo". As a result, I got 1.5 containers' worth of chicken nuggets. Quite the First World problem. They get to be a bit much after the first 30 pieces, but I managed to down everything. See photo. As others have mentioned, pricing is very reasonable. Guess I'll be back to try their combo, which comes with less meat, but also rice and sides. Recommended.

Yelp
Whatever you are doing at this moment (unless it is having a baby or curing cancer) isn't nearly as important as getting yourself to Cloud 9 and ordering the chicken nuggets (#3).

Yelp
Bang for the buck. That's what this place is for. Tax included in price. See my pics. $10.99 for the chicken nuggets and $12.99 for the deep fried pork chop rice bento box. Seems the pricing has gone up post pandemic, looking at other reviews. The tea was sweetened. Didn't like it. Didn't drink it. Located in the dump of a strip mall Empire Centre. It has definitely seen better days. Walk in, and it smells like Mainland China. The food is Taiwanese and Fujian. Judging by the written Chinese menu, my guess is that the owners are from Fujian and not Taiwan. I could be wrong. Limited English menu. It's on the large whiteboard signage above everything else. Unfortunately the bang for the buck food, the bento box, is all in Chinese. It's the stand up placard that lists 5 items with a little check box in front of each item. Use Google lens, then go for it.

Yelp
Was following a foodie on instagram and I had no idea this food court/mall ever existed as I pass through that same parking lot for years. This is a food stall in a food court in a strip mall shared by adjoining malls. Food was excellent, I had the popcorn chicken combo. Quality protein, seasoned lightly, a variety of side dishes and the rice was al dente. I loved how the owner warned to eat promptly. That quality control is love. One warning, there is no English signs. Bring cash!

Yelp
We ordered the Deep Fried Pork Chop with Rice and the Chicken Nuggets with Rice. They made us waited for a long time while the person who ordered the food before us got their food much earlier than we did. When the woman from the kitchen brought our food to the counter, the female server at the counter left our food on the counter for a long time which made our food cold by the time we ate. All the food (the fried food and the side dishes) were cold. Only the rice was hot. Do you want cold fried food? Also, the Deep Fried Pork Chop which was not authentic (they cooked them with black pepper sauce) was not cut into smaller pieces; they just gave us the whole pieces that were difficult to eat. When she called our number and we went to pick up our food, she asked us if I wanted the food to go and we said it was for here. Then she kept telling me to hold the tray as if I was rushing her but I was not. I was trying to ask her for the tea which was included in the combo but she did not give me a chance to speak. She did not look at us and she acted like she was scared of us. Then she handed us the two tea with both hands and put them on the tray while we were holding the tray. She made us look like we were pressuring her but actually it was her who did not do her job properly - she should put the tea onto the tray first before giving us the tray with the food. The fact that they embarrassed customers and were rude at the same time while making the food cold and difficult to eat was unacceptable. They gave customers a big portion for the order (to compensate?) but the quality of food and the service were terrible. The good reviews were probably written by their relatives and friends.

Yelp
Excellent food, ordered the crispy chicken meal. Every small fish samples and the chicken are well made, fresh taste and refreshing for a meal set. Fast service and genuinely good.

Yelp
I stopped by this stall for their Salted Crispy/Popcorn Chicken Meal and Marinated Pork Chop Meal recently. Their chicken was really crispy and tender and the pork went well with rice. They also gave an assortment of vegetables with the meal. Overall, it was good value for the quality and quantity of food for the price.

Yelp
I'M TRULY AMAZED BY THE HUGE PORTIONS! This Chinese food stall is located in the food court section within Empire Centre in Richmond. Parking can be challenging to find. Empire Centre is extremely quiet during COVID and a lot of the businesses have shut down. The seating area at the food court has a lot of tables/chairs blocked off. As a result, I felt rather safe eating there. Cloud 9 is a hidden gem tucked away in this hole-in-the-wall plaza. They serve Taiwanese/Chinese food. Some of their signs/menus did not have English translations. However, you can always try Google Lens! (This is how we get by when we travel to foreign countries.) The food stall is owned by a couple and the wife is extremely friendly. We got two of their bento boxes and unfortunately there is no English translation on the sign. The bento costs $9.99 each. We got a fried pork bento box and a marinated chicken bento box. I've never been so amazed at how much food you can get for such a price! This has never happened in Vancouver! In addition to the main entree, they'd give you 5 side dishes plus soup. Typically for most food court stalls, the rice would be included in the bento box. Not for Cloud 9. They put the rice in a separate box so you can imagine how much food there was! The owner advised that the side dishes change daily. The saying "you get what you pay for" did not apply here. The food was delicious and reminded me of my childhood times in Taiwan. I found the fried pork a little bit hard but that's personal preference. The marinated chicken was tender and juicy. Sides dishes were also amazing and you can tell effort was put into preparing them. I will definitely be back for more! The menu has some of my favorite dishes and I can't wait to try them!

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Taiwanese food, this is the place to be! Don't let the fact that it is tucked away in an older food court detract you from coming! We ordered the hot and sour soup, deep fried chicken cutlet with rice, deep fried tofu and a pork blood+ intestine side dish from them. Portions were generous and we ended up having to take two of the dishes home! The deep fried dishes were incredibly light and crispy and the chicken cutlet was nicely cut into strips for us. It was served over a nice bed of rice with some Taiwanese side dishes (black fungus/vegetable medley and Taiwanese cabbage). Getting both deep friend tofu and chicken, my partner and I expected to be in a slight food coma when we left but the batter was so light, we didn't even feel slightly weighed down. The chicken was cooked to perfection; still juicy on the inside but crispy and not at all greasy on the outside. As for the tofu, same thing- soft and pillowy on the inside with a nice crunch that accompanied every bite. Despite being covered in its own sauce, the tofu didn't lose any of its crunch. The hot and sour soup left me wanting a bit more salt and vinegar but it had all the foundations in place for a great soup. Quick mods at home fixed up it up to the preferences of my palate easily and left me satiated for 2 additional meals. The pork intestine and blood fish was delicious. While we hoped it would have been a spicy dish, we also appreciate that there is no spice as many people may find it aversive. The broth it came in was rich and flavourful but be warned, some customers may find the taste or smell "smelly" (we LOVE the stench). There was plenty of intestine and blood to share and provided my partner with one leftover meal after too! This was our first time coming but I can say with confidence it definitely won't be our last!

Yelp
I haven't had Taiwanese food for a looong time. And we finally came to try Cloud 9 Delicacy. I am so glad we found them. Big portion size and really authentic taste. They might be one of the most tasty and authentic Taiwanese cuisine I have ever tasted in Metro Vancouver. Please do try their marinated pork chops or any of their recommended rice combos. You won't regret. I thought the bento box is just the whole meal, but no.. the whole big box is just for all the veggies and meats. The rice come with a separate samll box. This meal could easily feed 1.5 person. Taiwanese chicken nuggets are so juicy and the taste is just so fragrance and delicious. I think it will be my to-go place for Taiwanese food in the future.

Yelp
The taiwanese fried pork was delicious but not worth the wait. The service was terrible! We came at noon on a Friday and had to wait 40 mins for our order. It was also difficult to communicate with the cashier who called the orders in mandarin only.

Michael W.

Yelp
I honestly believe they have the best fried chicken nuggets in lower mainland. Highly recommend this place

Yelp
We truly felt on cloud 9 after we took a bite of the salt and pepper Taiwanese chicken 鹽酥雞. We ordered 3 bento boxes and each bento box comes with 4 veggie sides and white rice. We tried the marinated chicken, and eggplant bento boxes. The winner by far is the salt and pepper chicken, but all the bento boxes were great! We would definitely come back here again.

Yelp
Cloud 9 Delicacy is perhaps THE BEST Taiwanese food court stall I've ever been to. Located inside Empire Centre food court, a place known for homey, inexpensive and yummy eats, this lil' stall is open 6 days a week. If you're thinking, "will this portion be enough?" the only answer is YES. Each container is packed FULL to the brim with the main dish and 3-5 side dishes. Soup and rice are on the side! We got two main dishes - deep fried chicken steak and tomato and beef - and both are AMAZING. The deep fried chicken steak is hot, juicy, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The tomato and beef dish is one of my personal favourites - a staple that I always gravitate to in Taiwanese restaurants. It certainly met and exceeded my expectations! Flavourful, fresh, and with such a generous portion, my stomach was so full and happy after my meal. The chicken combo cost $10 and the tomato and beef combo cost $12 - only $22 for two!! The restaurant is owned by a friendly couple who were very happy to see us eat in and not do take-out - their tip is to eat immediately in the food court. Don't risk losing the crisp on the chicken or result in eating lukewarm food! I will DEFINITELY be back to try their Taiwanese beef noodle soup, specialty marinated dishes and other staples!
