I’ve been to Cloud 9 a few times now, and while it still holds that iconic charm, I have to admit it felt a little different this time around. Maybe it’s me, or maybe it’s the changes that naturally come with time and tourism, but it didn’t quite hit the same way as my first or second visit.
The boardwalk and surf scene are still great to see—especially for first-timers or anyone wanting that classic Siargao photo. The waves are still rolling in beautifully, and the place is alive with people chasing that perfect ride.
But personally, it didn’t feel as special or raw as it used to. Still, it’s a fine place to drop by, chill for a bit, watch the surfers, and soak in the view. If it’s your first time in Siargao, it’s still definitely worth the visit. Just manage expectations if you’ve been before.
