Cloud Forest Lodge

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Their restaurant not only serves delicious meals but also doubles as a fantastic observation deck, offering lovely views while you dine. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to meet all our needs, particularly when arranging additional tours. We booked a night tour around the hotel grounds, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and managed to spot a range of fascinating animals and insects we would have otherwise missed. Could not recommend this place more – a perfect combination of comfort, hospitality, and nature.

The lodge is in a beautiful setting, and while the rooms don't look impressive from the outside, inside the rooms are stylish, modern, spacious and comfortable with sitting area, tea and coffee facilities, large bathrooms with good toiletries, robes, and private balconies with furniture. I think the rooms have been modernised recently and they are now lovely. On arrival we were given a cold welcome drink of pineapple juice with basil, which was very nice. We had some trips from here which were really good, but the main thing we were impressed by is the food. We had breakfast in the dining room with a great view, humming birds and other colourful birds come to feed from stands near the restaurant. The breakfast was the best on our trip, and we stayed in 6 different hotels. We had an evening meal here which was the best of the trip. We are a party of 6 and a couple of us thought it was the best meal ever! |It is colder here than other humid areas we went to, but pleasant in August, not cold.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Cloud Forest Lodge. It surpassed expectations in every way. |Our Manakin Suite was huge and fitted our family (4 people) perfectly. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fabulous. |Food is excellent. Service similarly great and we looked forward to eating next to the hummingbird feeders each day. |Self-guided tours were varied and fun. We saw loads of wildlife (agouti, armadillo, tarantula, monkeys, toucans, etc etc) and got great photos. |Highly Recommend!

Loved it here, luxurious retreat. The rooms were spotless with high end toiletries and linen. The restaurant has a big raised glass patio with the most wonderful views. There are hummingbird feeders which I could have watched for hours. On the evening they put on the big log fire in the restaurant, perfect for sitting around with a glass of wine. Staff were very attentive. There are trails around the hotel to keep you busy that you can walk yourselves. We saw 2 huge blue morpho butterflies and a racoon! |The little town has some lovely restaurants and the taxis are cheap if you don’t fancy the walk back up the hill

The Cloud Forest Lodge is a beautiful place. The food at Endemica is incredible! The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. But, the roads to get here are not for the weary and more amenities (hot tub, sauna) would be welcomed.

Simply wonderful hotel. The rooms were beautiful and really large. The restaurant was amazing in terms of the views of the cloud forest , the food and the staff were really great too. The restaurant will also pack you a breakfast for pick up at 6 am if you have planned an early morning start. There are trails on the property but the hotel is very close to downtown Monteverde and is maybe a 5 min drive to the monteverde cloud forest.

Huge rooms, great service, INCREDIBLE food. I was blown away by the food at the restaurant and the generous size of the rooms. The servers at the restaurant were incredible and clearly hard workers. I was relieved to find the food tasty and menu with good variety of dishes because the hotels location made it a trek to go to any other restaurant in town. The only complaint was that inside the restaurant was a fire place that made the restaurant extremely smoky the two nights we ate there so I would recommend eating outside if possible. The trails on the property were a lot of fun to explore as well and we saw so many awesome animals. This hotel is clearly very sustainability focused. Overall it was a great place to stay and well worth the price.

Wonderful stay at the Cloud Forest Lodge. The room was a good size and the bathroom was huge. Very comfortable bed and the pillows were so wonderful. We had a great time sitting on our deck. The food in the restaurant was very good. We had a great time sitting in the bar after a long day of hiking. Loved the hummingbird feeders that brought several colorful hummingbirds up close.
