Exquisite, mesmerizing views paired with exceptional, attentive service—this is truly a hidden haven and without a doubt one of the finest gems in the Winelands.|We are not people who usually leave reviews, but this place truly compelled us to do so because of its outstanding service, beautiful rooms, and breathtaking views.||From the very moment we arrived, we knew our stay would be something special. We were warmly welcomed right in the parking area by the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Manager, Adrian. His professionalism and genuine hospitality immediately set the tone for our entire visit. We were seated and offered a welcome snack along with a perfectly chilled glass of Chardonnay—thoughtfully selected as my wife’s favorite wine.||What followed was, without question, one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Adrian meticulously planned our activities and dinner reservations for our four-night stay, arranging visits to nearby favorites such as Delaire Graff and Tokara. The true highlight, however, was securing us a table at The Fat Butcher, despite it being fully booked—an impressive feat that perfectly illustrates the level of care and dedication at this property.||Dinner at the estate on our first night was outstanding. Just when we thought we had already met all the friendly faces, we were served by Sheldon—a passionate, attentive, and exceptional waiter. The wine pairing and tasting with dinner were superb and truly elevated the experience.||What truly sets this property apart is its staff. Beyond the breathtaking views and beautiful rooms, it is the people who make this place extraordinary. Breakfasts were relaxing and delightful, offering an excellent variety from both the buffet and à la carte menu. Abigail was wonderful—warm, helpful, and generous with recommendations for our next stop along the Garden Route.||We mentioned upon arrival that we were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary, and to our absolute delight, we returned to a romantic turndown arranged by housekeeping, complete with rose petals and sparkling wine. It was an unforgettable and thoughtful surprise that added an incredible wow factor to our stay.|Thank you, Adrian, for running such a well-oiled machine and leading an exceptional team. This has been one of the best hotels we have stayed at in a very long time. We will most definitely be returning next year, and Clouds will forever be our home when traveling to South Africa.||10 stars—an absolutely beautiful and unforgettable stay.

We had such a fantastic time here. |We stayed in the new pool suite, a spacious room with a luxurious, large bathroom and very stylish décor. And very comfortable: a swimming pool right on the terrace. The view was breathtakingly beautiful! |Breakfast was a treat, with a special plate served on my birthday and the staff singing “Happy Birthday” very attentively. Dinner, including the estate's own wines, was excellent. Friendly and service-oriented staff. |Clouds is a working wine estate. It is wonderful to have a view of the vineyards and to see how the entire estate is maintained with great care. It makes the estate's own wines taste even better. As far as we are concerned, Clouds Wine & Guest Estate is highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

I and my family stayed at the Cloud Wine & Guest Estate and had a great stay at the hotel. ||Pros|1: The staff are very friendly, kind and hospitable. |2: The room was excellent and in great condition. A villa can accommodate 3 easily because of the 2 king-size beds in the room that are sectioned off from the entrance/main room/living room. Also there were 2 showerheads in 1 shower, so a couple could shower together at the same time, or a mother could shower her kid or kids, and there were also 2 sinks and 4 shower towels given. |3: The views from anywhere (driveway, lobby, pool, villa rooms on and off the balcony) on the hotel land were breathtaking. |4: The breakfast buffet had a variety of food and drinks, which were all tasty. The hummus there was the 2nd best I have ever had. The first being hummus that was perfected and improved for 10 years and made by an Israeli person.||Cons:|1: The wifi in the room sometimes goes off or is very slow. |2: The villa I was staying in did not have many charging ports. The only ones were at the bedside tables with 1 USB port and 1 EU port.|3: My bottle got stolen because bags were left at the lobby entrance and not in the luggage storage.

We stayed in a deluxe villa on the estate. Communication prior to arrival was excellent and it was easy to book a reasonably priced transfer from the airport. They kindly allowed us a complimentary (very) early check in and that was fantastic after a long flight. The room was very spacious with a stunning view from the patio. It was quiet and peaceful. There was a working kitchen with a coffee machine and tea and coffee and complimentary wine, beer and snacks. The amenities were very comprehensive. The bed was large and comfortable with good air conditioning. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of cut fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon and pastries plus a cooked to order hot choice (including eggs royale!). My husband is very fussy about his coffee but said the coffee he was served was perfect. We had lunch and dinner there and although there was limited choice, all the meals were very tasty and the portions large. We had a private wine tasting of five of the Estate’s wines which we really enjoyed. Service was extremely friendly and efficient. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend a stay here if in stellenbosch.

We had wonderful relaxing days at Clouds Estate with our family of 4. Great service, friendly staff, beautiful location between the vineyards with stunning views, nice swimming pool, excellent breakfast and tasty wines. From here it was also easy to go to the restaurants of Delaire Graff (walking), visiting Stellenbosch and going to golf courses (by car), and within 40 min drive from Capetown. Reasons to come back!

I don’t think I’ve ever given a review before I’ve left a place before. But I am here! ||This place is magnificent. Superb. Fantastic. Awesome. Amazing. Wow !!||The view from the hotel is one of the best anywhere in the world. The service is impeccable. The food is delicious. The Cloud Estate wines are exquisite. The rooms are fantastic. Everything is simply brilliant.||Take a bow Cloud Estate. Magnificent.

Wife and I stayed for 3 days in one of the villas. Very well appointed, lovely little touches like the fresh fruit and cookies in the villa. It also has a stunning view from the terrace. The bottle of wine was exceptionally good as well. Great shower, heated bathroom floor was a joy as were the toiletries. Service was fabulous, such helpful and friendly staff are a credit to the whole place. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, special note to the Mediterranean open sandwich for being different and amazing. Dinner was brilliant both nights, the ostrich was the standout dish for me but I also loved the beetroot salad. All in all we loved it, recommend it and will definitely go back.

I LOVE this place. The staff made my stay so special. The welcome wine and wine tasting was spectacular. The views and food were 10/10. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. I will be staying again.
