TL;DR: A pretty good spot for a short stay, nearby the train station. Good food, friendly staff. Rooms: toilet had a distinct smell and the water pressure and heat could be better. Amenities not provided except for towels, mineral water and body soap. Extra blankets were provided however it didn't smell good. Had a TV in the room but couldn't find the remote. Nevertheless, the bathroom was quite spacious and it's ok for a couple of nights stay. Full length mirror outside the bathroom and the AC wasn't too bad. We could hear drilling and construction on the 2nd floor during the day. Service: Spectacular! Very kind front desk and kitchen staff. Helped me refill my water bottle. Allows you to keep your bag at the reception if you've checked out but are leaving later in the day. Tours: Helped book Bromo sunrise jeep tour. 3 pax was 650k, and would be 625k if more. Ambience: Couple of cute cats around. Flowers and trees with lights in the main courtyard. Also a swing and little fish pond. A keyboard was available at the reception but most of the keys were not working haha. Food: Kitchen closes at 8pm. Food was reasonably priced and flavourful but the dish I ordered (the crispy chicken bowl) was too salty. Breakfast was included with the room and was filling and good. Four set options were given per person which includes a drink (tea, coffee, milk coffee, orange powder juice), fruit, omelet, and either beef samosas, fried rice, paratha with choc sauce, or waffle (which wasn't available during our stay). Others: Located near stasiun Probolinggo (train station), indomaret (local mart), several eateries (including pizza hut, dominos)

Booked two rooms for our family trip. The service was excellent. Special thanks to Mbak Sundus who was very helpful and for paying special attention to our needs throughout our stay there. Everything was perfect. Definitely value for money and the interior of the room was beyond expectations. The only downside was that there were no mini fridge and heater in our rooms. Main purpose of the trip was of course to visit Mount Bromo. We couldn’t book a tour beforehand. Thankfully, they have a package which included the jeep ride to view the sunrise and visit to Bromo (tour guide not included). These were add ons but way cheaper than the tour packages found elsewhere. Also special thanks to Pak Catur for recommending the Bromo package. We enquired to Clover before the trip and he answered our queries patiently. All in all, we definitely recommend Clover Homestay for those who plan on a short trip to Bromo or to explore beyond Surabaya. Matur nuwon 😊

We really liked this place. Comfortable, clean and secure with a simple delicious menu provided by welcoming hosts. |We chose this place as we were heading to Mt Bromo and we were ttavelling through Java to Bali by train. Probbolingo is on the train route and close to Bromo. |Clover Homestay is situated on a quaint little side street. This means less motorbike and traffic noise. At night the forecourt has gates and a security guard. It appears to be a family run business. |The rooms were on the smaller side but big enough for our needs. The beds and pillows were super comfy and rooms were air conditioned. |We ate mostly in thr homestay restaurant. The food was delicious - in particular the soto ayam, and incredibly good value. |Only thing to note is the call to prayer started early (3am) - which may have been related to the holy month. Recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. |Thank you to other trip advisor reviewers for recommending this place. We liked it too.

Very nice place to stay! Owners are very kind people, they gave us option to redeem breakfast even though we weren’t able to make it on time. Also they helped us with laundry. Rooms are modern and beds are conmfortable. Only thing that i would recommend is to add also hand shower head! Highly recommended!

Stayed here for a night on my bike trip and it was one of the better hotels I stayed at on my trip in Java. Good air con, good water pressure, VERY clean, the staff were really nice, the bed was comfortable, the price was reasonable, and the location was good. I’d def stay here again.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rate includes breakfast. If you check-out early (like me), then you can redeem your voucher for an evening meal instead. Good menu for other meals also. Tranquil gardens give the Guesthouse a great atmosphere 👌

Really lovely little place. Tucked away from the main road, the property is in a pretty courtyard that feels quiet and relaxing. The owner was helpful, the staff were kind, and the breakfast was good. Only minor complaint is it would have been nice to have a bedside lamp. But on the whole, would definitely stay here again.
