10 Best Breakfasts in Key West For a Fresh Start to the Day | Condé Nast Traveler

"Like a slice of Paris in sun-soaked South Florida, the Banana Café—which occupies a corner at the intersection of Duval and Louisa streets—opens at 7:30 am. That is good news for early risers who don’t want to wait for a table—because chances are, you will wait if you show up any time after 9 am. If you think you’re going to “discover” one of Key West’s best-kept secrets, think again. You will however, get some of the finest crepes this side of the Atlantic. Inside it’s bright and airy, with pops of tropical green all over the place to remind you that you're in the middle of paradise. If you want to eat al fresco, see if there’s a table on the rooftop." - Jennifer M. Wood

Stopped in for a quick drink before dinner and it was just fine. We got cosmos and they were absolutely not the right recipe but the drink was still decent. The vibes are cool on this block and we sat outside which was nice for relaxing and people watching.

Staff was friendly, and bar/drinks was okay but the bathroom was really dirty. Would probably check out another bar next time Im in the area.

Finally a bar where they bring you something to snack on with your drinks😊 (in this case chips) + honest prices! (ex. A glass of wine 4 euros)

I think I got refused service - walked in, asked politely for a drink, bartender said 'we are not serving you here' and waved towards the back (no idea what he was trying to say there). I'm off to my hostel, drinks might be slightly more expensive but at least I can actually buy them.

Went at 7pm for happy hour. For 4.90 pints. Got a bill for 2 IPAs 15.00 and 1 blonde for 5. Rosie 20. Order 2 more IPAs for the new bill for 4 IPAs for 30 and blonde disappeared. Asked them to honor happy hour 20 for 4 they did not even acknowledge the fake blonde charge and asked for non happy hour prices.

I urge anyone to AVOID this place. The treatment from the staff and security is disgusting. Towards the end of the night, my friend and I were unfortunately physically assaulted by one of the security guards (see photo of the man). I am absolutely appalled a place can staff such disgusting people, who have no care for their clients. We paid €10 to enter, only to be physically assulted and verbally abused. I will be taking this to the police.

€20 entry plus free drink of your choice. Tiny upstairs bar. Choice was very limited. Bar man was pathetic, acted as if he had a busy bar to attend when we asked for just two drinks. We would have expected the attitude if the place was full of hotties but it was just like any other bar filled with average looking staff. The thing we enjoyed the most about our one drink there was the insect we saw running across the fridges. We alerted the bar staff to it as a friendly "watch out" and laughed but they took themselves way too seriously and brushed it off without any sort of acknowledgement or apology, as if it were a normal occurrence. I am not inclined to leave bad reviews, however this place was so unbelievably jumped up I felt I had to warn those thinking that a trip here might be a good idea. It's rubbish. Everywhere else we went was so much friendlier.

This is the worst of the worst. A supposedly open and friendly place but the staff is derogatory and outright insulting to the customers. Paris has so many great places at night, and I am usually very measured in my comments, I know it is hard to manage a night bar. But here goes : I have been here twice, the first time some of my friends were harassed and the staff couldn't give a s***. I came back for a friend's birthday because I was told the management changed but it is truly awful, never seen anything like this. I will NEVER go back to this place and I advise you to do the same unless you wish to get ripped off by arrogant and hateful people.

Yelp
After over a week of wine (way to much) and beer. It was fun to come into this cute little cocktail bar. It was pretty empty during the day but whatever. Give me a dark bar and a stiff drink served by a cute friendly bartender and I'm sold. The cocktail menu was fun and kitschy...even a little campy which I liked. Its a great place to stop by after a day of roaming around the Marais.

Yelp
Standard gay bar, with pricey drinks and good music. Lots of other options around it if you aren't feeling its vibe. Great dance bar though! If you're looking to dance the night away definitely go here, but if its socializing you want look down the street!

Yelp
With its tropical look, the ground level is mostly crowded by VIPs people, more gay-friendly than gay, and pretentious young queens, who like to party. The beautiful strippers on the bar made the popularity of the place. An heated terrace is right on the pedestrian street. The downstairs level is mostly dedicated to french songs and atmosphere. After 10pm, prices goes up to records !

Yelp
Stopped at this bar after previously being at The Labo which probably was a mistake. First off, boyfriend and I were charged 2€ for coat check-in which is fine if I was willing to check it in or given the option; minutes later saw several local French guys waltz in with coats themselves (maybe they had an option to keep their coats or I must have misunderstood completely that I could keep my coat on *not). The drinks are expensive 10€ for beer and ~12.5€ for a well drinks (weak drinks). The bar itself is trendy. Perhaps we were lucky enough to have live performance that night and a karaoke singer/host in the second floor had a great voice. However, what puzzled me was it was advertised Karaoke but only one person sang. I do suggest to know enough French to order a drink and startup a conversation with local French guys. Otherwise, your sitting or standing alone most of the night. The DJ kept replaying same songs in the 2-3 hours we were there. Besides the required coat checkin, the staff inside were nice, clean establishment, and cute local boys.

Yelp
Terrible service bad attitude lousy drinks claimed they don't have food. Bad experience!

Yelp
Boring beyond belief and expensive $hitty drinks Horrible, boring evening wasted in Paris. Go to RAIDD instead... The bar servers were rude, the drinks were expensive and not good (during happy hour 50cl beer was 2.50 Euro but increased to 6 Euro for 25cl beer after happy hour (almost $7 USD for 8 oz beer). Cosmo was horrible (like a bad drink mix you would buy at grocery store). The go-go boy was descent but boring beyond belief. Downstairs had piano bar (after private party cleared out) and the music and singing was very good. Overall, the staff were not friendly and it was boring. I left after a few hours and went to another bar (RAIDD) which was AWESOME! It was late Feburary (almost March) and they kept playing Mariah Carey Christmas music and Auld Lang syne in the upstairs bar -- the DJ didn't know what the hell he was doing. Visited February 2015
