Stayed for one night. Tried to check in on a Sunday, but the lobby is closed. Called the number on the door and got a call back 4 hours later. We booked a premium suite and were government a double full. We went to the lobby and told someone and they said the premium suite wasn't cleaned and they moved us to a king with no tv, and no hot water. Definitely a waist of money

The Comanche is back and better than ever. New management has brought fresh upgrades, warm hospitality, and renewed energy to this historic gem. The improved rooms, welcoming team, and sounds like the pool will soon make a comeback. It's must-visit in Christiansted.

This hotel is advertised on Priceline.Com, it is NOTHING like the pictures they have posted. The room is filthy, the pool empty, deck has hugh caved in areas. I did not feel safe either. This place is a dump.

Run by someone who doesn't want to run a hotel. Website says Continental breakfast, and there is not even coffee available. Had to go down the boardwalk to get a cup. Check in done self-serve. I was down in the office trying to get a receipt, and while I was gone, the cleaning staff took all my food from the mini fridge and stripped my bed before I had even checked out. The nightclub next door keeps you up all night with booming music and drunks hollering and laughing until after 2 in the morning.

Club Commanche Hotel is so old, broken down and dirty. The pictures on their website are very deceiving. The hotel is a dump! No amenities at all; no restaurant, no continental breakfast; no bar: no ice machine! We tried to get our money back after seeing the hotel, but it was not possible. Do NOT book room here! Camping out is a better option.

Club Comanche is a historical property boasting a perfect location in Christiansted. The rooms are beautiful, boasting exposed wood ceilings and flooring throughout. Some of the furnishings show their age, but are comfortable. Smart televisions add a modern, convenient touch. On their website, the pool is said to be permanently closed, which is very unfortunate. In it’s prime, I’m sure it was a beautiful place to relax. Continental breakfast is not available, despite being advertised online and in the rooms. Overall, this is by no means a bad choice. It is priced on par with other comparable properties, and the location is unbeatable. I do wish management would consider revitalizing the pool and bar areas. This may help attract more visitors in the future and liven up the atmosphere a bit. In addition, I would like to express my utmost gratitude for the wonderful staff that took care of me during my stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

The room was very cozy and had a nice view. The ac worked well. I enjoyed a warm shower after exploring the island. The hotel had a beautiful antique vibe to it. The breakfast was not appetizing as it had flies but other than that the hotel has great accommodations. For the price you can beat it. I also enjoyed the soft bed sheets, the location and Peking is accessible easily across the street. You don’t have to pay additional for parking which is great. The hotel staff are amazing and very helpful they Evan gave me a after hours assistance. Anytime you need something they respond. The room was top quality.

Nestled within the heart of Christiansted the Club Comanche Hotel St. Croix is a true gem that captivates with its unique blend of historical allure and shabby chic ambiance. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was transported back in time, enveloped by the rich tapestry of the past woven into every corner of the hotel. While some may perceive the weathered facade as signs of neglect, I found it to be an integral part of the hotel's charm, a testament to its storied past. Each room is a sanctuary of tranquility, adorned with vintage furnishings that whisper tales of days gone by. While it's true that some areas may show signs of wear and tear, I couldn't help but be enchanted by the palpable sense of history that permeates every nook and cranny. The staff's genuine warmth and hospitality further enhance the experience, making every guest feel like a cherished part of the hotel's legacy. Whether it's savoring the offerings of the continental breakfast or simply unwinding in the charming courtyard and pool, every moment spent at Club Comanche Hotel St. Croix feels like a journey back in time. In conclusion, my stay at Club Comanche Hotel St. Croix was nothing short of enchanting. If you're seeking a one-of-a-kind experience that seamlessly blends history with hospitality, look no further than this hidden gem. Embrace the quirks, savor the stories, and let yourself be transported to a bygone era where time stands still.

Yelp
I would stay clear of this place. The reason why I would stay clear is they do not offer good customer service. all about the dollar signs! My plane was arriving at 8:30 PM, and the Hotel said that the registration desk closes 7:30 PM. I asked if they would leave me a key or code so I can get in after hours. They said absolutely not and would not cancel my reservation. Thankfully there's many other hotel choices that are very accommodating, as well as flexible.

Yelp
Have very few words to describe how disgusted I was in this place. Worms Filthy floors Dirty bedding One light working Leaky roofs. Worst experience in my life as a traveling salesman. Never again.

Yelp
Wish I would have read reviews before booking here. All others are correct they are all about the $$$ with zero customer service. Due to storms ferry service over to the island for our stay was cancelled. Called to even discuss a partial refund and they were completely unwilling to work with us, even though we were not looking for a full refund.

Yelp
Took my wife here for her birthday, when we checked in and walked into our room she broke down in tears because the place is so filthy and run down. This has to be the worst place we've ever stayed as that includes rustic camping shelters that we have stayed at on past camping trips. It's actually a lot like camping because although they have two mini splits you could drive a dump truck through the holes in the walls that all the cold air is leaking out of. Yuck doesn't even begin to describe this "hotel." Think horror show hostel that's a better description.

Yelp
This was one of the best restaurants on the Island . Steaks were amazingly delicious and so were the shrimp dishes. Speaking of not a shrimp John Wayne would frequent this spot when visiting Maureen O'Hara. Signature drinks named after the big guy .

Yelp
Book at your own risk! I feel like this place is a scam... My wife and I booked a suite for our honeymoon with a King bed and couch. However the room we received is 2 double beds and 5 lounge chairs. This is not what we booked or expected. The room is filthy and looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years. There's a boarded up window and exposed hole where the AC unit drains right over the bed. All furniture looks and feels dirty. The ceiling fans have inches of dust on them. We are not staying here not even one night, we don't feel comfortable staying here. When we called the office about the bed mix up he said "I don't know why this keeps happening". The owner came by and said they couldn't do anything until the next day and even then a room switch wasn't guaranteed. For the amount of money they are asking it absolutely doesn't add up. When we tried to notify the owner that we wouldn't be staying and need to cancel and dispute, he started sending us straight to voicemail so we started a claim with Expedia to at least get the ball rolling. This was a devastating experience.

Yelp
Don't let the great location fool you. You'd be better off taking your business elsewhere. We stayed for one night, and that night we weren't able to sleep until way past midnight due to extremely loud party music playing across the street. This was made worse by the fact that we had to catch an early ferry the next morning. While I admit the music is out of the hotel's control, the windows in our hotel room didn't close, meaning there was no way to shut out the extremely loud sounds. I don't think a room with permanently-open windows qualifies as a sleepable accommodation, especially with loud party music right next door. I contacted the hotel about a refund afterward, which I didn't receive because the manager said I didn't contact the front desk the night of my stay. My hazy, 2 am memory does recall trying to call, but it must have been a different number for the hotel because the manager didn't receive anything on her end. Either way, even if we had been re-located to a quieter room, having to change rooms in the middle of the night due to the first room being unsleepable would've anyway resulted in a 1-star review, so nothing short of a refund would really make me change my mind. All in all, avoid this place.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this hotel, and love the exterior, but unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. There were negative reviews on Expedia and Trip Advisor but I ignored them because most didn't seem to understand that they were staying in an old hotel not a resort but I should have listened. When we got there the gal who checked us in (who was amazing and if the review was just on her I'd give 5 stars!) couldn't get our room door open so she put us in a different one by the pool. Our experience might be because of that change but we never saw the inside of the room so I can't be sure. The room we were put in did not look like it had been thoroughly cleaned in a LONG time. Dirty walls and doors, huge sections of peeling paint, a safe that didn't work, dirty bathroom, dust and dirt all over the lamps and curtains. The worst part was probably the bathroom door that was filthy and not a solid door but more of a pantry door with shutters. Not really great for privacy when you can see right through the door as well as hear whatever is going on in there. We were trying to stay on the same sleep schedule as home (3 hours behind) so we would try to sleep in but every morning at 9am, 6am our time, the housekeeper would bang on the door and if you didn't answer they would try to come in. The first time this happened I told her we were sleeping and she told me she'd only get paid if she cleaned the room and tried to guilt me into leaving. I paid for the room I shouldnt feel like I'm getting kicked out every morning. This was especially frustrating because there's chickens everywhere and they keep you up all night so then being violently woken by someone trying to barge in was not fun on a couple hours sleep. Other than the gal that checked us in the front desk ladies were not especially friendly. Kind of strange because we were amazed with how friendly everyone on the island was. The WiFi was out the last 4 days we were there and every time we asked about it we would barely get a response. Kind of crappy since we had to pay $12/each per day for their "resort fee". Its not all bad though we really loved the location and the exterior of the hotel. The pool was nice on the days they cleaned it and the cabana area was nice. The included breakfast we nice also. This could be an amazing hotel if they put in some work but we would not stay there again. Next time we will go to Hotel on the Day. Similar price but you get a kitchenette and a beach. Oh and I forgot to add to be prepared for mosquito bites! Even with using repellent I had 40+ bites and they all seemed to happen in the room

Yelp
Booked a room with a bay view, what I got was a room with a view of a roof that blocked the bay. The shower above our room leaked through the ceiling and into our suitcase, the staff did not offer to help out in any way. Walls are paper thin and can hear everything in surrounding rooms and areas. But what more can you expect from a $230.00 usd. a night hotel. Just asking.

Gail M.

Yelp
Do not stay here!!! The pictures on their website Do Not match what you get there. This is not hurricane related. We paid 361, the room was not hurricane damaged, it was old and worn out. The linoleum was in terrible shape, paint and drywall peeling, missing curtains and furniture that was damaged. When I complained, the desk clerk asked me if we requested a Historic Room. That isn't even an option on their site.

Yelp
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Complete dump. Had to put down a non-refundable deposit when booking online. Then Had to pay the remaining balance upon check-in. I understand why now, because you'd leave once you saw the place. The pool is old and not kept up. Water was green. My room was infested with mosquitos. Breakfast was barely some bagels and bread. Few boxes of cereal. Would have been better off staying on the beach. Also, no parking what so ever

Yelp
Wonderful place to stay in Christiansted. Easy walking distance to all of town. Clean and comfortable rooms. Not too noisy but for the roosters in the mornings, and the parties on the warf at night. Staff is accommodating. If I need to stay in C'sted, this is my preference.

Yelp
If you are looking for island charm full of history this is the place to stay. Very friendly staff and a nice continental breakfast that is free for guests. Usually includes hard boiled eggs, sliced cheese and meats, cereals, bagels and other pastries, yogurt, juice, milk, and coffee. This was very helpful since food costs here are so high it really helped us save money. Plus was a great place to visit and meet others staying there. The hotel feels more like a b&b.

Yelp
We booked our trip online, and I gotta say the rooms were definitely not what were advertised online. Some of the staff isn't so friendly.. I'm not into having our room serviced everyday (because I know maids go through your things), but we literally got hassled EVERYDAY by maid staff to get our room serviced, even when we said no thank you. We would leave to go shopping, etc. And would come back and our room was serviced. We were eaten alive by mosquitoes in our hotel room.. The towels weren't changed out, just folded & hung to dry, which after days of snorkeling and salt water on your skin... It was very unpleasant. The sheets weren't changed, the bed was just remade... The view was amazing and the charm of this place is impeccable.. But for future booking I would recommend a different hotel.

Yelp
Club Comanche was the pits! The awning on the Internet is photoshoppped. It's disgustingly dirty! You definitely get what you pay for or even less. I would never wish this place on my worst enemy. The female staff were nice. If the staff could be transported to another hotel, that would be great. The manager was drunk half of the time. The continental breakfast looked like the same breakfast from the day before. The grapes were placed in a wicker basket. Just nasty!

Yelp
I would give this hotel negative stars, if possible. We booked a stay for March 20, 2020. My husband had a business trip, I was tagging along for an impromptu vacay. CORONA HIT. We called on the 16th when his company cancelled his trip to cancel the reservation. I should have known that something was amiss when we had to pay up front. Oh, let me add the caveat that we booked through hotel.com. I spoke to the manager, Sharifa, and she approved a refund because of world events. Well, hotel.com couldn't get a hold of anyone at the hotel for approval after I had cancelled. The hotel claimed I never cancelled and they had to keep all of their staff working for 4 days after we NEVER SHOWED UP ON THE 20TH!!!! This came from a different manager that I never spoke to. He straight up lied on me. I had to provide my phone records with multiple calls proving I had called Club Comanche and the manager had returned my call on the 16th of March to hotel.com for a full refund. Not only did the management at Club Comanche tell bold face lies about what went down, they documented the lies in an email! Class! Pure class. I will never recommend this hotel, in fact, I will go out of my way to tell my friens, family, and anyone who will listen about what happened. My husband and I both work for the government, and I also sent the documentation to the travel office so this hotel will not get approved for government business travelers. Stay elsewhere. The management attempted to prey on us during a very vulnerable time. Sickening!

Yelp
Just don't! If Yelp would allow for a negative star rating I would give it a -5. First room was so filthy we asked for a room change. The second room, which was much better, was still unacceptably dirty. Do to circumstances, we had to stay one night and then moved to the Renaissance, which was lovely. Comanche room was dirty, towels and linens were less than toss out quality and the bathroom....well. We keep shoes on while in the room. I repeat, just don't!

Yelp
Not a lot of restaurants were open on New year's day. Thankfully we stumbled upon Club Comanche right before their dinner service closed. Not a huge number of options, but the prime rib and Italian sausage sandwiches were tasty. The slider sandwiches (Cuban, French dip, and Reuben) were a well executed and cute idea. The fresh fruit drinks, mango in particular, were very fresh! Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. And the historical location really is worth checking out, what an beautiful old building!

Yelp
Charming little hotel in the heart of Christiansted with lots of history and character. All the rooms are at least vintage (60 years or more) about half are truely historic, around 200 years old. Wooden floors, panel walls, antiques and eclectic nautical and caribbean bits and pieces abound. It's not a 4-star hotel, but clean, friendly, quirky and fun. The upstairs bar across the walkway is open and breezy and the downstairs Rum and Wine bar dark and mysterious. I felt like I was living in a novel for two days. I'd stay here again.
