It's a nice hostel to stay for a night if you need to catch a bus. It's very cheap and you get what you pay for, but it has all you need and is located very close to the center. I felt safe and the people from the hostel are very friendly. Showers are crappy but have warm water, not super clean but sufficient. Beds are okay, but some shared rooms have triple staple beds and if it's full of people that might be quite dense. When I was there, there was only 1 other person in my room so that was fine. Kitchen is not very clean but it works. They don't serve breakfast but you have many options around the corner.

We had a really good stay. Jujuy was a great surprise and worth a visit. Had a private ensuite room that was clean and comfortable. You collect your breakfast (rolls and jam, butter) at reception every morning. Kitchen is good for cooking, only complaint is the plastic mugs! They have a lights out at midnight policy so it's good and quiet. We went to a great restaurant recommended by the hostel staff and ate fantastic pollo picante! Went to the hot springs as recommended, which turned out to be one swimming pool, still we had fun but it wasn't quite what we expected!

When arriving I was received with smile. The stuff was very friendly. I received a map and told about the important places in the city. I was taken to my dorms room. The room is officially for 4 people. However, we were only 2 and was not enough place. The hostel looks bad. It feels than they never clean there. The beds were small and uncomforted.

I thought the room was very comfortable (4 bedroom dorm). The staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a nice warm heater and the breakfast was yummy. Everyone staying there was nice too! I would have liked to have stayed longer, the province of Jujuy was a great surprise. The only suggestion i have is that the shower flooded every time we used it. It wouldn't be hard for them to fix this, maybe with some hooks for the shower curtains in the wall. (Oh and its very dirty under the beds.) But otherwise thanks Club Hostel!

Having spent a week in the Calilegua National Park (0 facilities!), I really wanted a half decent hostel to sort out my gear and relax for a dew days. Having had some up and down experiences with HI Hostels, I was pleasantly surprised with this one. If this hostel was the benchmark of all their hostels, few people would have anything but a good time. ||||Stayed in one of the dorms (2x triple bunks). Beds were OK, comfortable enough - if barely long enough to fit a 6'0 person in. Bathrooms were clean, although the toilets and showers were interesting. Shower is very small and also doubles up as the bidet... Toilet, well - lets say in all my life I have never seen one with the hole in front allowing for unintended examination of the business.||||There is a pool/jacuzzi although I didn't make use of it. While pretty dirty (sand from the multitudinous dust storms), it was cleaned the next day - definitely a first for me in Argentina. Outside are next to pool has reclining chairs - area is a little small, so if more that 4/5 people are out back it could get crowded. ||||Kitchen is par for the course, cutlery as with most places could do with some new arrivals. Large breakfast area doubles up as the entertainment area with a decent sized TV. Breakfast was on the better side so far, fresh bread, coffee, Dulche de Leche etc. Prices for beer and cold drinks were very reasonable. Staff were fantastic, I told them I had little interest in tours etc - what I really needed was some of the more mundane stuff sorted out like a decent laundry service. Most things a bit of a walk away (laundromat is 8 large blocks). I also needed some major components for my bicycle before heading into Bolivia. Again, I was pointed to a shop that would have fitted in comfortably anywhere in Europe/USA for the quality and variety of gear available. (pricey though!). ||||Get yourselves a copy of 'Get South' asap, this hostel knocks 10% of the already low rates on submission of said book (as do many hostels featured in it).

There didn't seem to be a great selection of budget options in Jujuy, so we chose this place for our one night stay. It was nice and cheap which was good. When we arrived at about 11pm after a long journey, we were met by a very nice staff member who checked us in and was very welcoming. Our room was small and windowless, and had a bathroom with a non-functioning shower. The room was clean, except for the unwelcome ´floater´ that someone had left behind in our ensuite toilet!! It took about twenty flushes to get rid of it.... ||Decent budget option for a night or two in Jujuy, gets a bit noisy at night though, so you may want to bring the earplugs if you want to go asleep.

One of the few hostels in Jujuy, a town which offers little in itself, but still is the hub of the region. Located some distance from the center but in a nice neighborhood, Club Hostel||has excellent, knowledgeable and often bi-lingual staff, the most helpful during our entire trip. The built-in bus office means bookings are very smooth, including some guided tours.||Kitchen is large and clean, Internet access is OK, and access to WC and showers can be||somewhat limited. The entire indoor space is neat and clean, and well organized. Price was rather high, 160 AR/night for a double room (Nov 2011). Perfect for 1-2 nights during transfer to a more remote location.

Not a bad place but it has gone downhill since I was there a few years ago, and it badly needs a makeover. It would appear not to have been decorated since the first Peron administration---maybe that's why it was nearly empty when I was there in February. It wouldn't have surprised me to find some insect life but I was spared this.||||On the other hand, the staff do their best and are helpful and friendly.||||The hostel kind of matches the city which has a neglected appearance, but the Lola Mora statues around the civic centre are well worth visiting.
