Food- multiple items were out of stock, bringing questions as to how fresh the food is. The flavors left a lot to be desired. Our beef fillets came out cold, one came out about 30 minutes after everyone had already had a chance to eat. The seasoning was lacking on every dish we tried. When the broccoli is the star of a steak dish- there are problems. We were told the order couldn’t be removed as “it was almost done”. The drinks were tasty, but overpriced for what they were. It took 1.5 hours to get food orders in while the focus was put on a group of 8 that were seated at a much more spacious table.
Speaking of “out of order dishes”- we were brought one they could suddenly make one of. We thought this was done as a courtesy for the multiple failures. Nope- we were charged full price for the dish.
Atmosphere- our party of 12 was booked months in advance. We were put at a table that would be adequate for 8 people. It was extremely uncomfortable the whole time. We barely had room to move and even the staff struggled to pass out food, leading us, as patrons, to assist.
Cleanliness- we saw multiple LARGE cockroaches throughout our dinner “experience”. One crawled up a member of our party’s leg. This brought up questions as to what the kitchen may look like. When I went to take a photo there was massive panic from the staff who discouraged me snapping a photo. Don’t worry, though. When you go you’ll easily spot them as they’re 7 centimeters and fed better than the patrons.
A visit to Gibson’s on the Water Front would’ve been a much better experience, in my opinion. Better quality food, better atmosphere, cheaper and a kitchen that wasn’t depleted of items due to poor planning.
This was a reunion with family members and we couldn’t even adequately enjoy it. Uncomfortable, 3.5 hours to have dinner due to slow service and inattentiveness.
Visitors beware. Spend your money elsewhere.
