The Best All-inclusive Resorts in the Bahamas

"A recently reopened (October 2022) 89-acre oceanfront resort on San Salvador Island offering a quieter, off-the-beaten-path experience with postcard-worthy turquoise-water views. Extensive renovations refreshed the property; land and water sports are included—tennis, Wingfoil (a combination of windsurfing and kiteboarding), yoga, snorkeling, kayaking, and sailing among them—and programming includes two restaurants and three bars. The property emphasizes active, all-inclusive experiences with rates from $200 per person, per night. Gratuities are included and restaurant reservations are not generally required." - Lauren Dana Ellman Lauren Dana Ellman Lauren Dana Ellman is a New York-based writer and editor who specializes in travel, lifestyle, food, and shopping content. The waterski experience at this Club Med is truly one that can not be rivaled. I spent most of my day waterskiing, not only because of the fun of the sport, but also because of the incredible environment created by the waterski GOs. Whatever time of day, they always had a smile on their faces and would never fail to create arguably the best environment on the entire island. I want to shout out Coco, who is such an incredible person inside and out and one of the kindest people you will meet, alongside an amazing boat driver. I adored our conversations for the last 3 years at the drops. Leandro never failed to make me laugh and I loved every second on the dock. PO was always cracking a joke and always a joy to be around. Jacob was one of the nicest people to talk to! Laurent was so fun to get to know and always was in a great mood as well! Tristan was also a relatable person and a joy to debrief with, as well as see on the dock when he was there. Finally, Loic had energy that could light up any room and make everyone ready to party. All of these people truly made my trip the best one yet (out of 10 times coming to this Club Med.) Our lunches and dinners, that we all shared were some of my favorites, and this entire group made my trip as incredible as it was. Thank you all!

We had a great 3rd time at this resort. The ba=each and property is absolutely gorgeous! The waterskiing was a true highlight of ur family trip! My husband became scuba certified in their top notch program. We had 4 rooms and each had a spectacular view of the beach and ocean. For a small isolated island, the kitchen makes the most delicious meals and food is always available! Highly recommend.

This year was 13th time at Caribian Club Meds. 11 times at Columbus Isle. We love it.|Enjoy quite beach time and water activities. We like the catamarans !!|Lots of young staff, and organizers. You don't have to participate in any of it, if you don't feel like working out or learning new sports. VERY beautiful beach, aqua colored.||Prepare for White Night, Neon, 45, Black elegant, and so on. It's fun and most people do follow the dress codes. Again, no must do. Shows are very entertaining too.|All with excellent French Cuisine, 3 times a day.....if you want to gain weight.|If not, choose carefully how much you load onto your plates.||We choose 2 week stays for the last 6 visits. One week is soooo short. Flying in from Miami. Everybody watches the Montreal plane landing on Tuedays, and Paris direct on Thursdays. Club is only half mile from airport, but only the 3 mentioned jetliners landing each week.|Annie and AJ

Full circle. In 1984 I vacationed with my French mother at Club Med Punta Cana and have the best memories. Last week I took my daughter to Club Med Columbus Isle. I didn't know what to expect so many years later but it was beyond! The most beautiful unspoiled|Island I have ever visited. Warm Turquoise waters, the best scuba and snorkeling, sailing and water skiing. The food is superb. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets have everything you could imagine. 10 stations, a room of just cheese and bread and desserts. Fresh baked baguettes, croissant fresh squeezed OJ, and when you want a change of pace you can go to the other restaurant for steak and lobster with waitstaff service. Then there is the beach bar which is so much fun. In a way it's a throwback and a mix adult summer camp with a French influence and club Med tradition of community. The accommodations aren't the Ritz but we had the cutest bungalow that was very spacious. The staff from the head of Village to all the GO's and all the excursions managers to housekeeping and food service were exceptional. I loved the themed nights, nightly shows performed by the staff and dancing til the wee hours at the beach bar. The sunsets were amazing and we have memories for a lifetime.

One of the best hotels in the Bahamas! Fantastic stay! We stayed here a few years back with my wife, we really enjoyed our stay, and I have some memorable souvenirs of the food. Generally speaking the buffet time is not something to look for but not here. As this is a french chain it is clear that the food is a really important selling point, and it is really worth it! The beach obviously was Fantastic too as you can see on the pictures! Overall amazing stay !

||Spent 2 weeks this summer. Changed from our usual 2 weeks at Clubmed Punta Cana.||||Pluses:||- great setting, beautiful beach with no other hotels, pristine water with wildlife. No seaweed||- good scuba diving (at a cost). Well run team with very good equipment/boats||- good selection of free watersports (paddle, hobbiecat sailing, waterski) and good beach volley||- good laid back atmosphere||||Neutral||- Food was OK. Some very good (pizzas and pasta were very well executed) others more plain and not best presented compared to other clubmeds like Punta Cana. ||- Wine selection is poor and can do with simple improvement||||Minuses||- Not tightly run compared to other clubmeds. Felt like staff were not tightly managed and the resort manager was quite absent||- Bedrooms could do with modernisation (ours had no decoration - just painted walls and felt a bit like a hospital)||- need more shade: more sun umbrellas and more trees need to be planted to provide natural shade (especially when you compare with the punta cana clubmed)

I had an unforgettable time waterskiing during my trip to the Bahamas in June. I want to give a special shout-out to Leandro, Coco, PO, Loïc, and Laurent – the waterski team who made the whole experience incredible.||They were super professional, friendly, and full of energy. It was my first time trying waterskiing, and they were so patient and encouraging. Thanks to their guidance and support, I felt safe and had so much fun learning. They turned a simple activity into a highlight of my vacation.||If you're heading to this resort and thinking of trying waterskiing, don’t miss the chance to meet this amazing crew – they truly make it worth it!

A Truly Unforgettable Stay Thanks to Anna! We recently stayed at Club Med Columbus Isle in the Bahamas, and while the entire resort was stunning and the experience unforgettable, we want to give special thanks to one GO who made our trip truly exceptional — Anna. We met Anna on the second or third day of our stay, and from that moment on, she took incredible care of us. As a native Chinese speaker, her communication with us was effortless and warm, which made a big difference in helping us feel at home. Anna was always cheerful, attentive, and thoughtful. She helped us navigate the resort, offered great recommendations, and consistently checked in to ensure we were having a great time. Her kindness and dedication truly enhanced our experience and made our trip all the more memorable. Thank you, Anna, for your warmth and support — and thank you, Club Med, for having such wonderful people on your team!
