I honestly found this such a lovely experience. The skiing lessons were great, all the instructors were experienced and helpful, as well as being conversational at the same time. Special shout out to Ruben for his wonderfully dry sense of humor and Tan for her infectious enthusiasm - you guys were amazing. I met some wonderful people, there are great facilities around, super kid friendly and the service is great. Friendly staff, and comfortable living space. Overall just amazing, and I would definitely come again. Highly recommend!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an incredible time at Club Med Tomamu! The food was absolutely fantastic, with a wide variety that catered to all tastes. Zoe from the Kids Club was truly amazing. She took such great care of our kids, both at Tomamu and Sahoro Club Med. They adored her! It was heartwarming to see them so happy and engaged. To top it off, Zoe even joined us for dinner and drinks after the shows, which was a lovely way to connect and share our experiences. A special shoutout to Rickie, our snowboard instructor, who was phenomenal! His expertise and enthusiasm made our snowboarding experience unforgettable. Will nb, was our entertainment, always up for a laugh and a beer. Ruban, our ski instructor, also deserves praise for his high energy and entertaining stories that kept our spirits high on the slopes! And we can’t forget the sheriff, who wowed us with his magic tricks and provided extra special drink service throughout our stay! Overall, this trip exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back!

Ski vacations with young kids… this place has set the standard. So easy and so amazing with the kids. Can’t say enough good things about the staff here and the level of attentiveness (shout out to the ski instructors and club med mini staff who knew every single kid’s name and even the buffet staff that always did so much) to the manager Logan Lee who just happened to be everywhere all the time (he helped my son put on all his gear the first day and left such an impression). The heated ski locker right next to the ski entrance (spoiled me forever). The buffet breakfast and lunch were always amazing with the variety and selection and the change day to day. The wave pool and outdoor onsen across the street was genius (and you get free access when staying at club med). And the endless kids entertainment. We also went during New Year’s Eve and they threw A PARTY! Even one night all the ski instructors skied right outside the resort with lights and it was so amazing. You realize you see all the staff at all hours during the day and they truly are the BEST with the kids. What a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to try this again here and even at other club med ski resorts globally. The standard they set is so high now for all future ski trips. Thank you to all the staff. You were amazing.

Here with the family for the first time and we had such an amazing time. Everything went smoothly from airport transfers, skiing & rentals, the room & meals, and just the overall hospitality and service of the team at Club Med Tomamu. Some comments for improvement would be: It could have been better to split up the mini club tiger class (beginner) into smaller groups. It's simply more chaotic for the beginner class and my kids didn't enjoyed themselves and we ended with private classes instead. The whole idea is for the kids to enjoy the sports so the parents can have their own time/lessons. Ended up we had to forgo the adults' session so we can monitor the private lesson. I hope this can be looked into with processes refined the next time we visit. Secondly, I queued a long time to register private lesson for the kids, and specifically requested for the same instructor as the one before. He was available at the time of booking, but we ended up with another instructor instead without any prior notice. This was the only part that I was unhappy about but the replacement instructor was great regardless. A huge shout out to the ski instructors Benjamin, Flo and Anamarija (apologies if I misspelled!). Thank you so much! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Overall, still a wonderful time at Club Med Tomamu, and we look forward to be back! Thank you!

My partner and I had an incredible time at Club Med Tomamu. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The standout feature of our stay was definitely the amazing staff — everyone we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely attentive.||Special shoutout to Ferry, the assistant manager in the main restaurant, who was always friendly and accommodating. Our afternoons at the Itaru Bar were made even better by the lovely Ria and Rizal, while evenings at The Nest Bar were a highlight thanks to the great conversations we had with Judhika and Milka. We even got the chance to have lunch with Milka and learn more about her, which made our stay feel even more personal and memorable.||The highlight of our trip was learning to ski — we were complete beginners, but thanks to Jemmi and Paula at the ski pro shop who helped us get all our gear sorted, and the amazing instructors Max, Liam, and Kaleb, we were skiing down a slope by the end of our trip!||Club Med Tomamu was the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and warm hospitality. We highly recommend it and would definitely love to come back!

This place is a game changer. We have skied in Australia and NZ and we can’t go back. The convenience of being able to ski in in and out without having to carry your skis more than 10 meters is amazing. The food has been delicious and world class. Customer service is amazing. Ahmed the food and beverage manager makes it a point to come over and say hello to every table, every day. Being able to drop the kids off to ski class at 9am and pick them up at 5pm is awesome. The facilitators help the kids get into their ski gear, take them to lessons, take them to lunch, afternoon lessons and then kids activities and dance performances. We’ve already booked for same time next year.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We just had the best time at this resort, and I want to give a special shoutout to some of the amazing people who made our stay so memorable. First off, *Agustin*—our ski instructor. You made us feel at ease on the slopes, and thanks to you, we went from nervous beginners to feeling confident and safe. You really know how to put people at ease, and we appreciate everything you did for us! A big thank you to *Dori* at the front desk, who welcomed us with a smile and took the time to walk us through the program. It made a huge difference to know exactly what to expect, and it was clear you genuinely cared about our experience. Also, *Wayne* and *Maya*—you two really made us feel at home. Your warmth and hospitality went beyond what we expected. Finally, a huge thank you to everyone at the resort. From the housekeeping staff to the restaurant team, every single person went out of their way to make our stay as special as possible. It’s obvious that a lot of hard work goes into making sure guests have a great time, and we truly felt that effort. This trip was worth every penny! Thank you all for everything!

Yelp
Pros: Friendly staff and delicious buffet choices. Cons: Terrible website and unreasonable transfer cancellation policy. Inconsistent housekeeping and turn down service. For an all inclusive 5-star resort, I had higher expectations. Unfortunately Club Med Tomamu did not deliver the attention to detail, guest-priority service that most major high end hotels in Japan offer. They are quite rigid with their rules. For the prices we paid, we felt like it was not worth it. If you want to stay in Tomamu area, I would probably recommend the Hoshino instead of Club Med.

Yelp
As soon as we walked in, we received extreme warm welcome. The manager came to introduce himself. The next several day, he treated us like his great friends! He is also a great host/ dancer for the night club shows. Customer services was great the whole trip! Rooms were clean, views are phenomenal. Food is being served any time you need. If you go ski and miss your lunch, no worry!! Come and enjoy . There were different type of shows at night. But the one really surprised me is....... You sent your kids to daycare..... they became performers at the club shows, all dressed up cute and danced well!

Yelp
This is our first visit to Club Med Tomamu but our third Club Med experience in Japan. As usual, the food variety, quality and presentation are excellent. There is something from everyone at every service - Japanese and international. The hot chocolate machine was out of order for a few days, but got repaired in time for our last full day here. Would have loved to see more of the chocolate fountain, which made only one appearance in the week that we were there. We are grateful for the daily Japanese noodle (udon/ soba / ramen) soup option for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which is an excellent go-to food before hitting the slopes. I can't rave about the rooms enough - they were enormous. We had 2 rooms - one with a king size bed arrangement and another for 3 single beds. The beds were all extremely comfortable. I love the curtain which not only works to separate a sleeping area from the living area but helps to keep the sleeping area warm at night by channeling the hot air from the vent to that side of the room. The bathrooms are thoughtfully separated with the water closet accessible from the living area and the bathtub accessible from the sleeping area. Hot water is plentiful and the double sinks are much appreciated. Love the smell of the lemon scented bath products. If there was one amenity I could add, it would be a laundry bag. Unlike Club Med in Sahoro, the pool and onsens are located separate from the main building and requires a short sprint outdoors. We would just go in our bathing suits with the kimonos and slippers provided in our rooms, so no problem! Unfortunately, only one slope was open the past 6 days we have been here as we arrived on the 2nd of the season, but hopefully, we can catch one more slope before we depart tomorrow afternoon. However, our ski instructors really helped us to work on or fundamentals. Angelina from Bosnia taught us from Club 3 to Club 5 over4 days and Etienne from France taught us on our last day in Club 5. We are really much better skiers now because of them. Another huge improvement from Sahoro were the individually heated and secured lockers. Each locker had rods for 3 pairs of ski boots as well as holders for assorted ski gear such as hats, gloves and googles and room enough for skis, poles, snowboards, helmets and jackets, keeping everything dry and toasty warm until you need them. Shout-out to our waitress Shey who not only also has a ready, beatific smile, but helped me to procure a safety pin from her own supply so that I can turn my son's retainers! Wish I had the energy to attend the daily Zumba and Yoga classes, which was a wonderful addition to the schedule. Dani from South Africa teaches he yoga classes and the banquet manager, Jasmine, from Australia also teaches Zumba! Don't miss the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant, Haku, where we ordered extra wagyu and seafood. The children had a wonderful time helping with the grilling. We are very much looking forward to another trip, preferably when there is more snow!
