Spent 3 nights at this hotel, here's what I thought.
THE GOOD:
- Location!!! Super close to Time Square but not in the middle of the chaos, so I didn't really hear the city's noise. I felt safe walking to and from the hotel at night.
- Surprisingly comfortable beds & pillows.
- Decent free coffee, water bottles, filtered still and sparking water.
- Loved their oatmeal soap.
- Front desk people were cordial.
THE NOT SO GOOD:
- I paid a little more to have a queen bed instead of a double, but what I got was definitely NOT a queen, even though they tried to convince me that it was (sigh), I did not make a big deal about it, but I woild have liked to get a queen, jus like I requested and paid for.
- The room had some very visible wear and tear, more than it should have for a hotel in that price range.
- The hot water in the shower takes for ever to actually get hot. I ended up having to turn it on and wait several minutes. Such a waste of water!
- The hotel has a smell as soon as you go in that is not the most pleasant, I believe it could be from whatever they are using to clean but it is very distinct.
- The TV does not work well at all, the audio kept falling behind the image, the navigation is clunky, Netflix would work sometimes only... super annoying.
- The app to check-in, operate the door and the TV is absolitely useless.
THE EXPECTED:
- The room is super small, very NY! Same with the bathroom, but we did have everything we needed.
- The elevators are also tiny! I did not have to wait a lot for them but because of covid, only the people in your party can ride together which can cause delays.
- There's no daily cleaning service. Ok for me but may not be for some people.
He hotel is doable if like most people who visit NYC you will be out and about all day and only need very basic accommodations that are conveniently located.Spent 3 nights at this hotel, here's what I thought.
