Wow! What a stunning historic property! Gorgeous lobby with old world charm. The rooms are wonderful, clean and fresh. My bed was so so comfortable and I loved my pillows - often an issue in a hotel. Staff was charming and helpful even after midnight when we arrived. Perfect stay!

Great location! The hotel was clean if simple. Mostly quiet. The rooms are pretty small, but have everything you need. I was by myself and was fine, but two in the tiny rooms would be bumping in to one another. The hotel is being renovated so no bar or restaurant currently. Staff was very friendly and professional.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. I have to say it was great! From the moment I walked in I was greeted by Raquel who went above and beyond for every single person she came into contact with. The "second shift" staff members were great as well. Any staff member I came into contact with was truly amazing. I will definitely stay at this location again!!!

Everyone was very helpful, the room was just what I needed. It was small, felt cozy, bed & pillows were W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L. They were very clever in how things were kept compact yet everything you need is there. The parking garage, Metropolis, is over one block on 46th Street and the hotel gave me a 20% discount. It was POURING down rain, so my plans go to go Katz had to wait 'til Sunday, but I found a pizza place across the street, which was perfect.

Great hotel near Times Square with amazing staff and great interior decor and style. Free complimentary hot drinks and water and sparkling water on tap in the club room. Best price and service in the area for the price, highly recommend and will stay again in the future. They are undergoing some upgrades at the moment but despite all that the rooms were very nice and comfortable with the tv across from the bed.

If you want basic stuff like a hot shower, find another hotel. This place is a run down ancient hotel with sketchy elevators and lacking basic stuff like hot water. Avoid at all costs. Front desk will try to get you to do some Nintendo level cheat codes to make stuff like hot water work and pretend it’s not a problem. Avoid this place like the plague. 4 stars? Forget the star ratings C last time this place was a 4 star was probably 1915.

My stay at CQ Midtown Hotel was most pleasant. The hotel is quiet, centrally located, and the service provided by Joanne and Raquel was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and highly efficient. I will definitely return in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient.||A big thank you to Joanne. She was so friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcome.||We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Yelp
Club Quarters can be hit or miss from one location to the next - this one at 45th & Lex is a definite hit. The rooms are fairly updated and decently sized by NYC standards. The location is highly convenient for business and pleasure, the staff is attentive and the property feels safe and secure. Their best kept secret? If you need or want to hang around after checking out they have communal working spaces available free of charge for as long as you'd like. I recommend it for business and tourist travelers alike.

Yelp
I was shocked to say the least with how a seemingly upscale hotel I walk past nearly everyday for work was not at all what I assumed it to be. I will say that the check in palor downstairs and club dining room is impressive. Very grand. The rooms are very... not. And confusing. Our room was very tiny. I thought I took a picture of it but I guess not. But the bed took up most of the space, with the TV angled away from the edge of the bed on the opposite wall? It doesn't even seem like there's a point to it. Also what I thought was off putting was the "accommodations" of their shower products. As someone who tries to be eco-conscious, I also understand wanting people to take their products home with them to prevent waste. But they had BIG full bottles of product. And if you opened them then you would be charged with your room. This practice would be all well and good, but why would you offer this when your soap is packaged with cardboard (ie subjected to being ruined/damaged with water) But the one event that sent me was that we apparently were not checked in correctly after having been out all day. I didn't think about it afterwards but I'm stunned that they never called us to confirm if we had. They left our baggage alone in the room (that we triple checked), but they locked us out. We had to go downstairs to correct it, and they were remarking on how stressful of a situation it was for them... kind of a weird thing to say when none of this was our fault. One highlight was when we checked out, we still had some time before we needed to leave the city and the desk manager offered to hold our luggage for free! So that was very nice of them. I know you're paying for the location more than the accommodations at this place... but still a surprising experience.

Yelp
We had a short 2 night stay here in mid December. Finally came and made my Christmas in New York dreams come true lol. We arrived super early, like 8am on a Sunday and I was fully prepared to pay for early check-in but unfortunately they were fully booked. I even asked to upgrade but ya, they were fully booked. But all good cuz they stored our luggage and we were off to explore by 9am. We came back at 12pm and our room was luckily ready and we did not need to pay extra for early check-in. We booked a Club Room and this was JUST enough for 2 people. A third person in there definitely was too cramped. It's a small no frills room, and it is NY after all. I thought it was perfectly fine. It is a bit dark, and we had to turn on all the lights and leave the bathroom light on most of the time. I absolutely love how they have free water still or sparkling, coffee and tea all day everyday. On each floor they have a water station where they provide you new empty water bottles which you can fill with their filtered water. This is SUCH an important touch to me and was the second reason why I booked here. The first reason being the location. Back to the tea and coffee, we had tea almost every single day, multiple times a day. They only had English breakfast, green tea and chamomile. I wish there was at least a peppermint but hey, still a nice touch. Also we saved so much money not having to buy water during the trip. The location is everything. It's a literal 5 min walk to Times Square and all the other Christmas attractions are under a 20 min walk. The furthest thing we walked to was Hudson Yards, which was only 30 mins. The Plaza is an 18 min walk away. Bryant Park Winter Village was a 7 min walk away. There are a ton of food options around the hotel, such as a Starbucks 1 min away, great pizza places also 2 mins away. One of the hottest Thai restos in midtown (Mitr Thai) was one street over and 2 min walk. We went directly across the street to Valerie, which is an intimate an vibey cocktail bar yo enjoy some drinks one night. So basically everything is within walking distance and we didn't take a single mode of public transport while we were here, besides getting to and from the airport. The location is incredibly walkable. The only issue we had was with our TV. Several issues were happening and we had to call the front desk like 3 times lol. But each time they deployed a technician and he was there super fast each time. Like within the minute of our call. The third time we let the front desk know there was still an issue with the tv, we were on our way out. By the time we got back, they had replaced the box in our room and the TV was in full working condition. So that was amazing they were able to resolve it quickly and efficiently. Shout out to the technician, I forgot his name :(, and also Nicole and Justin at the front desk. I think those were their names? Forgive me, if I'm wrong! All so pleasant to deal with. I would stay here again in a heartbeat because of the location and again the tea and water service.

Yelp
My partner and I have stayed here for 5 years now. Excellent location, minutes walk from times square, Rockefeller centre, 5th avenue shops, Bryant Park etc. The rooms are clean and have everything we need. The lobby/bar area is so inviting and relaxing. The staff are wonderful. Really helpful and professional. Raquel has checked us in most years and is always lovely and friendly. I would really recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Decent hotel in a good location. Not far from Times Square and midtown in general. Nice lobby area with a nice seating area. I believe there are conference rooms but I'm not sure. The rooms are decent sized for Manhattan and I want to say it's an old apartment building converted to a hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean and modern enough with UBS chargers, a desk, as well as a closet, safe etc. The view is hit or miss though but I didn't spend too much time here. Staff is very nice here as well.

Yelp
King room was a good size for NYC. Staff were responsive and friendly. Eastside location was close enough to many sights and nearby Grand central took us everywhere else.

Yelp
First off ... I know that this is not The Ritz. It's a budget hotel. I was in NYC for a few hours only and wanted a hotel to nap a couple hours and shower before a business meeting. I didn't want to pay $380+ for the Warwick, Iroquois or Algonquin since I wouldn't be using a room for more than several hours. The CC Times Square popped up based on my needing to stay near The Harvard Club. NO RESORT FEES!!! I almost gave 5 stars, just for this!! In a city which is charging $30 - $50 nightly resort fees for standard hotels, this hotel doesn't do that nonsense. I really do respect them for it! Initial impressions ... - The rooms are TINY! I was 'upgraded' to a king bed room, although to me the bed seemed more like a Queen. It was one of THE BEST hotel beds I've ever slept in. It was so soft and cloudlike! I love a soft bed you sink into ... and this was it! If you like a firm bed, you may be in trouble here. - My room had one of the worst showers in one of the smallest bathrooms I've been in. It felt like a train or airplane bathroom. The shower was one of those removable hand-held showers and I've honestly had better showers from a bag, while camping. I saw a few glassed-in rainfall looking showers in the room photos online ... not in my room! - The decor was plain and depressing. The majority of the room was painted white. There was a rough looking walled-off fireplace and some wall art, which looked like the typical cheap hotel nonsensical framed computer-generated 'art'. There was a cabinet, which seemed Ikea or college dorm room-esque. Convenient to have ... but a bit ugly. The room I was in didn't look a whole lot like the photos on the website. - The check-in process is by kiosk, although there is a front desk person to assist you through the kiosk process. Seems easier to just offer check-in via desk, if desired vs. forcing people to use the kiosk. The elevators were pretty slow during busy times ... and small. - There is a beautiful side room with some seating and free coffee/water. The check-in lobby is postage-stamp sized and pretty sparse. They do check bags, if you are early or late with check-out ... but it took nearly 30 minutes to retrieve mine, almost making me miss my spothero deadline. (Parking in the city is very cheap now ... I paid $24 per day vs. had I valeted at the hotel for $58 per day. Overall, the hotel is very basic. I have no idea where 4 stars came from. I'd call this a 3 star hotel. Everything was very clean and the room wasn't terrible (if a bit dull). There isn't much personality here, so if you are looking for a boutique-type experience, you'd be best somewhere else. The price cannot be beat ... had I needed a room for more than 8 hours to freshen up, this isn't where I'd choose to stay. Given the choice between this spot and a Holiday Inn, or other such chain 'blah' midtown hotel, I'd choose Club Quarters. The location is good ... several blocks walking to Central Park ... not too far from Times Square ... and right off 5th Avenue. I didn't think NYC was as scary as some have told me its become ... but I didn't venture into Soho or Greenwich Village this trip.

Yelp
- Very central location - Super easy check in process and friendly staff - Room was facing inwards and had a window that was high up - The room was very dark unless you turned on all the lights - Bed was comfortable - The AC is placed in a weird location (right next to the bed) - Good desk space with coffee maker - There was no fridge - The shower was also super small - Hot water takes a minute to heat up - It's a place to sleep if you're going to be out and about all day - They have a tiny gym

Yelp
I am a happy camper. The room is quiet and the bed is comfy so I have gotten great sleep while I'm in town. It is a great location, the staff is nice and helpful, and they have (sparkling) water and a comfy lobby to sit and relax.

Yelp
If I could give this property a ZERO, I would! Of all the Club Quarters properties that we have stayed in, this is by far the worst! Starting off with, paying for rooms that we didn't book. Getting stuck in rooms with double beds, even though we paid for Queen bed rooms. Rooms so small you can't even turn around. The window was completely covered in dirt, and sounded as if there were no glass at all. We were told one thing with reservations, and when we arrived, we were given the worst rooms ever. Small, dirty, excessively loud street noise. This is nothing more than a ghetto property, and extremely disappointing. We are here for a 65th family birthday, and we are extremely embarrassed, as this is the first time our family has ever been to New York... I have never been in a Club Quarters Hotel, as ghetto and dirty as this one! Beyond shameful! Spend your money elsewhere and have a better stay!

Yelp
I've stayed here 3 times. It's a great hotel if you're traveling with a pet (my dog is with me) or if you want to be near Times Square. Staff is super friendly but there are other reasons to love this hotel: Elevator needs a room key to activate. So no bums in the hallways. Room keys have never deactivated on me. Even if they're against my phone for long periods of time. Complimentary water bottles in the hallway that you can fill yourself with cold water. In-room Keurig machines. So bring your own pods and you're rocking primo coffee in your room. 10/10 recommend this place.

Yelp
I booked this room to be able to walk to all the touristy areas in Manhattan but also be close to the subway stations to venture uptown and downtown when needed. It's walking distance to Fifth Ave, Rockefeller Center, Broadway, Bryant Park, and Grand Central. I love the hotel's complimentary espresso machine in the lobby, very useful for a pick-me-up. The staff were also accommodating and nice. The room was average but typical of standard Manhattan hotel rooms. They were small but they did the job and were clean with great A/C. This is the second Club Quarters locations I've stayed in and it's exactly what you'd expect. Not grand or luxurious, but great for the price and fantastic for the location!

Yelp
Spent 3 nights at this hotel, here's what I thought. THE GOOD: - Location!!! Super close to Time Square but not in the middle of the chaos, so I didn't really hear the city's noise. I felt safe walking to and from the hotel at night. - Surprisingly comfortable beds & pillows. - Decent free coffee, water bottles, filtered still and sparking water. - Loved their oatmeal soap. - Front desk people were cordial. THE NOT SO GOOD: - I paid a little more to have a queen bed instead of a double, but what I got was definitely NOT a queen, even though they tried to convince me that it was (sigh), I did not make a big deal about it, but I woild have liked to get a queen, jus like I requested and paid for. - The room had some very visible wear and tear, more than it should have for a hotel in that price range. - The hot water in the shower takes for ever to actually get hot. I ended up having to turn it on and wait several minutes. Such a waste of water! - The hotel has a smell as soon as you go in that is not the most pleasant, I believe it could be from whatever they are using to clean but it is very distinct. - The TV does not work well at all, the audio kept falling behind the image, the navigation is clunky, Netflix would work sometimes only... super annoying. - The app to check-in, operate the door and the TV is absolitely useless. THE EXPECTED: - The room is super small, very NY! Same with the bathroom, but we did have everything we needed. - The elevators are also tiny! I did not have to wait a lot for them but because of covid, only the people in your party can ride together which can cause delays. - There's no daily cleaning service. Ok for me but may not be for some people. He hotel is doable if like most people who visit NYC you will be out and about all day and only need very basic accommodations that are conveniently located.Spent 3 nights at this hotel, here's what I thought. Yelp
I was going to give this hotel a solid three star rating. - The staff was really nice and attentive. - The room is cute and clean. - Convenient location. - Bummer that there's no mini fridge in the room and that the windows are extremely filthy - they have most definitely not been cleaned for years... Big issue: only two tiny, crappy old elevators. I waited with 20 other people for over 15 minutes, for all of us to cram into one of these elevators. They claim to be a 4-star hotel, but that is a big joke. I don't know how they get away with it. If not for the elevators, it would be a 3-star .

Yelp
We ended up getting a really affordable deal for this place, and overall our stay way comfy and ideal. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a spot close to Times Square. It's a great touristy location and you can walk to pretty much anything you need. This building is pretty old, there's kinda creepy long narrow corridors, and the elevators are tiny and slow -- but everything is well maintained and clean and perfectly pleasant. Our room with a queen sized bed was small but still had a little refrigerator and a nice bathroom. The bed itself was really comfortable and the wall unit a/c worked well, hallelujah! Definitely grab a drink at the bar downstairs behind the lobby.

Yelp
This review for the Times Square location. Booked a room through Priceline. This hotel was an accidental option that I didn't realize I picked. Since I couldn't cancel and rebook for another hotel, I figured I'd just bite the bullet and stay here. The reviews I read averaged 4/5 stars so not too bad. I had never heard of this place and the area was not where I wanted to stay, but I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, nothing beats a friendly and courteous staff! Everyone I encountered who worked there was sooooo friendly and was always willing to help with any questions. The room was very small but it was clean, good for 1 person (in the room I stayed in). The hotel entrance was a bit tight. I did not notice a ramp for wheels, though there might have been an entrance I wasn't paying attention to. Check-in was a breeze and self check out was convenient though time consuming. There were no water bottles in my room but there was a Keurig. This set up seemed pointless because I didn't have any water for my coffee/tea. I would not stay here again because of location. If you need a room in the Times Square/north of Bryant Park area, give this place a try.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Club Quarters in Times Square for three nights, and we had a very good experience. Checking in and checking out: super simple. There is always at least one person at the front desk and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Room: the size of the room is small (expected for NYC), but it has everything you need. They somehow managed to squeeze a bed, desk, chair, closet, and tv into the small room! Overall, the room was clean and neatly organized. Their cleaning times for rooms is until 5:30pm, so if you want your room cleaned before that, let the front desk know. Amenities: I didn't expect there to be a gym, but there was. Only... I didn't get to use it. I went down to the gym, but it was REALLY tiny with one running machine, one bike, and some weights. Some people were already using the machines, so I ended up giving up. They have yoga mats in each hotel room though, so if you that was useful. Lobby: in the lobby area, you can find free coffee and snacks throughout the day, and free wine from 5-6pm, so make sure you take advantage of that if you're staying with them! Overall, just the hotel we needed for our trip and would highly recommend others to consider this place an option when traveling to NYC. :)

Yelp
Had a great 5 night stay at Club Quarters. Great value, clean modern rooms. The Staff was warm & Helpful. Great location . Would Stay here again .

Yelp
AWFUL experience. Never book a room here. 1. Check-in When I arrived at the hotel, it was 3PM--the time listed on my receipt where I would be able to check into my room upon arriving in Manhattan. When I spoke to Joanna at the front desk, I was promptly told to "wait just 15 minutes" because the room was not ready and housekeeping had a few more things to complete before I could check in. 15 minutes goes by and I check again. This time, Joanna informs me that the room is still not ready, and that she is uncertain about the estimated wait time. My colleagues and I had business at 4 PM, and we were told to "just store your luggage with us and check back later." We comply because we have no other choice but to make it to our meeting. We come back at roughly 11 PM. There is a new rotation of staff at the desk and we ask to be checked in. This time, the room is ready and I receive my keys. 2. Room Roughly a month in advance, I booked a room at Club Quarters with the following criteria: Two queen beds, aka, a room that can accommodate 4 Adults for a night. I check-in past 11 PM and go to my room (408). When my 3 colleagues and I go upstairs, we see that we are given a room with the following: ONE QUEEN bed, One sofa, One desk. At the time, I thought that this was a joke. Club Quarters delayed my check-in, and when I am able to get to my room, I'm greeted with a room that is physically incapable of accommodating what I reserved a month in advance. I go down to the lobby and speak with the front desk. A man tells me that "your room doesn't have two beds!" Yes, I'm well aware of this. I ask for a solution to move me to the correct room, because obviously I was given the incorrect room. The man proposes a "solution." He says he cannot give me the room I booked, and instead, calls housekeeping staff to bring two rolling single beds with tattered mattresses on them, and asks us to accept that instead. He also follows up with the fact that there will be no duvet for these beds, nor pillows! He proposes that we use towels and blankets instead, pretending that we have what we booked... I'm very displeased to hear that the solution to my problem of been given the wrong room is two dinghy beds being wheeled to my suite and asking my colleagues and I to set up the bedding from scratch. Well, the photos and videos of this scene turned out very interesting, considering that the two beds hardly even fit in my hotel room that was clearly built for no more than 2 people. 3. Room keys As mediocre compensation for delaying our check-in the previous day, we were permitted with a late check-out. This works with our schedule because we would be able to store our luggage in the room while we left to attend a meeting at 1PM. When we return at 2 (check-out is 3PM), our room keys had been deactivated. When we spoke to the front desk, Joanna assures me that she knew that this was the case. For some reason, the hotel thought it was a good idea to deactivate our cards and make us return to the lobby and wait for half an hour just to let us access our room again.

Yelp
This hotel is a gem. I was traveling to NYC to go to theatre shows and looking for a pet friendly hotel to stay in so I could bring my dog Angel with me. PROS - The hotel is very dog friendly. There a milk bones at the front desk for your furry friends, the staff is full of dog lovers, they supply a (large) dog bed for your dog free of charge, along with a bowl and a door sign that lets people know there is a dog in your room. - The check in process is smooth and easy, I arrived a bit after 2pm and there were no delays in getting my room. - The sheets in the room were super clean! I'm super picky about clean sheets at hotels and honestly have never seen cleaner sheets. (as previous reviews have mentioned, the window curtains are old and worn out and the some of the carpeting in the hotel is pretty worn out too, but besides that the room was spotless and had everything I needed). - The hotel is close enough to Times Square and the theatre district to walk and feel safe walking back and forth (yes even at night), but it's far enough away from the theatre district and Times Square so that you're not hearing "the chaos" surrounding Times Square all night. - There's a super cool coffee machine in the lobby (check it out for sure, coffee is complimentary). - There's filtered water and reusable water bottles on every floor. - For workout fanatics like myself the hotel does have a gym! It's pretty small, but it has everything I needed. Just be aware you do need to show your vaccine card before getting the keys to the gym. - The hotel staff is super friendly, I loved coming down to the lobby and talking with them throughout my stay. - Wifi is free and worked well! OTHER COMMENTS / NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION: - The room was small, but that's to be expected in New York. - The smaller rooms do not have fridges in them, but you can call the front desk and ask for a mini fridge (they are based on availability, but I was able to get one no problem). - The TV takes some getting used to and sometimes freezes up a little (which is the only con I can think of).

Yelp
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment in many aspects of the Club Quarters Midtown hotel. Rated as a 3.4-star hotel, and a 4 star on booking sites. Coffee options for the morning, rooms where the TV is not blocked by a door, rodent control, and a decent amount of noise control from the street. I stayed for three nights during my reservation and made it to 3 rooms. Standard room 404 is the front and center windows/balcony. These windows are extremely old and all the noises at 2:30 trash, laundry, and other activities on the street. Not only was I disrupted by all of the noise during the middle of the night, I also could get high! the windows were not well sealed and I could smell pot all night long. When I asked to be moved the next morning, they advised that the hotel was sold out and I would not have a room to change to. I suffered through another restless night. The next morning, I asked to get a room change to the back of the hotel and they were trying to upcharge me for a different room. I was able to talk them out of it, and when I arrived in the room, it was still a standard bedroom and it was facing the ally (which is what I wanted for noise control ) but it sure would not be worth more money to upcharge me! When in my room, resting on the sofa, the television made a strange noise and then stopped working. So I began to watch shows on my computer while settling into bed and a mouse ran across my floor! I called the front desk and said I needed a new room, they wanted to bring someone up to take care of it and I refused, and they said they were sold out again and needed to find a solution. They sent up a staff member with a new key and thankfully I was able to be relocated to a higher floor, away from the streets but across from the elevator. This might have been just as noisy! Again, trying to get comfortable and watch tv in my room and the suite door is permanently screwed open and conveniently placed in front of the TV in the bedroom suite! brilliant. I will never stay at a CQ ever again. Nothing about this hotel has star value. Food and other things smeared and sprayed all over the elevator cab doors, walls, and buttons. Large spiderwebs in the hallway corners...multiple doors to get to rooms, makes for a noisy experience b/c all guests open and close (slam) 2 -3 doors to get to their rooms.

Yelp
This location is a two-block walk to Times Square and the theater district. The room was immaculate when we arrived. There was a booking problem that was of our making and Joanne and the manager went the extra mile to resolve it after we arrived. The entire staff was friendly and always eager to help. We had an upgraded room with a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. We will definitely book again. You can't beat it for location vs price

Yelp
really couldn't have asked for more. the staff was amazing. they made it feel like I stayed with family. yes rooms are not large but I have paid way more for smaller rooms. very comfortable bed. clean room, nice staff. what more do ya want? the only things I could see to mention. there was no view from my room on 11th floor it had a small window that you really couldn't look out of but room was quiet. the elevators are about size of one you would find in a private residence.

Yelp
Great location for a stay in NY City when going to Broadway show. Room is NY small but well appointed. My only issue was I thought i was getting a queen size bed but only got a full. A coffee maker was in the room which is a big plus, you rarely find that in NYC. They have a great happy hour with Free wine and soft drinks. The staff had been very helpful and friendly.

Yelp
Our old home away from home was in a great location, but upset us one time too many, so we're never going back. I've liked the other Club Quarters hotels I've tried, so we gave this a shot. A full sized bed is really small for two adults, but other than that the location was good - not much father than our old one from the main area we like to be. The staff was super friendly. There are tea/coffee and some sort of snack (rotating) 24 hours a day in the lobby area, which also has fairly convenient plugs, computers, and a bar, which makes waiting for the rest of your party easy. They even have free wine from 5-6, though we were never around at that time. Maybe next trip... This is definitely on our list of possible places to stay for our next trip to the city.

Yelp
For Midtown, this place is a gem! The weekend rate was very affordable and the weekday rate was still great for the location. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. The rooms are well appointed - comfy beds and a little desk area and great bathroom with plenty of room. We also faced another building, so the outside noise was minimal. The location can't be overstated - just a few minutes from Bryant Park, Times Square, and other landmarks. During the week, the lobby also has snacks, water, and an espresso machine. That helped stretch our travel budget a bit!

Yelp
It's perfectly clean and modern. It's simple and efficient, but difficult place to live. I was in what felt like a windowless interior room. The modern systems (credit cards, text reservations,) we're all down. Just- so much potential, but not a lot of oomph there.

Yelp
I stayed here Sunday night October 14th. We were staying at the Westin near Time Square and didn't want to book a 3rd night there so I bid for a room on Hotwire and it assigned this place to us. I was sad we checked in after the wine happy hour but it was a nice relief there was snacks, coffee, tea, and soda for free if we wanted some. It was our last night in NY so the room had everything we needed to relax. The elevator is older and definitely quaint but you know NY experience I guess. I would stay here again if I was visiting this area the big king size bed was comfy, the TV rotated and you can pull it out a bit. They even had a yoga mat and resistance band to work out! You can also open the windows for some air but there was some noise outside from the ac or generator or whatever machinery but it easily became white noise. Check them out if you're on a budget!

Yelp
Awful hotel. They stuck me in a room that was unlike any I'd ever seen. I'm used to small NYC hotel rooms... But this was just bizarre. The bed is sideways because they literally can't fit it in normally. The bathroom is a converted closet or something. The windows are tiny and frosted over. If you're claustrophobic, or just like staying in rooms that don't suck, this definitely is not the place for you. To make matters worse the service is awful. First I was lied to and told they couldn't move me because the hotel was oversold by one unit. U then spoke to a manager who admitted that was untrue. I asked to just get a refund so I could get a normal room elsewhere. They inexplicably refused. I get they don't have another room, but the refusal to let me leave is inexcusable. Do not stay here!

Yelp
Stayed here for one night last June 1st. Booked the room through Priceline earlier that morning and paid in full. I came in at 1pm and asked the receptionist if I can check in early. They couldn't find my reservation # and was told to come back at 3pm but told we could leave our luggages with them. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's walking distance to Timesquare, Rockefeller Center, many restaurants and coffee shops. Subway was also fairly close to this hotel! The hotel offered free snacks (peanuts, trail mix, banana chips, biscotti) coffee, tea, water and sodas in their guest lounge. They also have a bar where you can purchase alcohol. Plus they host a wine hour daily from 5-6 for free!! FREE wine!! That's a plus for someone who likes to drink wine!! When we stayed here they poured Rośe and red wine. My room was at the penthouse - 11th floor. The room had a queen bed, a flat screen TV, and a chair. It was spacious enough for me and my husband. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and soft. Two pillows were firm and the other two were soft. I wish the bathroom was more spacious. My husband and I are small people so it was fine, but for others it might be too small. I wish I had time to use the yoga mat that included in our room!! I love that there was one available for us to use. The staffs were very friendly and will stay at this hotel again if I ever go back to NY! In fact I just booked Club Quarters in St. Paul London, UK for next months travel!! So yes I definitely recommend this hotel!

Yelp
I was here for New Years', and for an old Hotel they did their best to upgrade and add great technology. They are definitely doing their part for covid with the temp screening, sanitizer everywhere you go, and even in the elevators. I'm not going to knock them for the small elevators, or lack of bathroom space and ventilation, what do you expect from an old-ass building? I do like that everything is on an app, or by text message, my only gripe is the TV. I wanted to watch netflix but when I did it required information to set up. I was too tired every night to deal with trying to watch TV so I just Netflixed from my iPad. The hotel is in a great location, just a couple of blocks from Bryant Park, Times Square, and a few buildings from bars and restaurants. I would def come back.

Yelp
This is a great no frills hotel where price meets value and convenience. For less than $200/night for some days, you're right in the Times Sq/Broadway area and as the other Yelpers have already mentioned, the free wifi, coffee, water dispensers and fitness center make this an overall great choice for the budget traveler. Oh one other special mention, they do have fridges! You just have to ask.

Yelp
Hotel gets a big fat F for customer service. Had a business meeting canceled due to the hurricane and would not allow me to cancel or transfer to a different date. $395 down the drain. I'll make sure to Let everyone know never to book at any of your locations.

Yelp
Terrible. The rooms door lock was broken. I got back to the hotel after a meeting after 11pm. The door did not double lock, the TV was too big for the wall bracket so you have trouble watching the tv from the bed. I had an early meeting and the coffee in the lobby was warm at best. Not worth the money. P

Yelp
When we arrived at our room "1401" it was hot and muggy in the room. Where the air condition was located it looked like it was going to fall apart any minute. My boyfriend and I went to take a shower and we noticed we had no wash clothes. Went to call the front office twice no answer. We needed to get ready in a timely manner in order to see the Dave Chapelle show so we just used the hand towels as wash clothes. Oh let's not forget when we went to take a shower. The water was lurk warm. We let it run for approximately 20 mins and it still wouldn't get hot. We didn't make a big fuss about the room due to use staying for one night. Lastly, after staying just one night. I woke up to large red patches on my body. Looks like bed bugs bites. I can say that we won't be staying in this dump during our next visit to New York City.

Yelp
Great location. Clean room. Like most complaints- slow elevators and small. Wasn't an issue most of the time but sometimes we got stuck waiting for an elevator for awhile. When we checked in we had to wait awhile so the front desk lady told us to call down to the front so they can comp a room service meal. A different lady said they would look into but we never got a refund.

Yelp
Reading the description from the Web site I really didn't have high hopes for this hotel and my judgment was correct. Would I go back? In a pinch but if I had other options then absolutely not and here is why" - Initially when I got to my room the toilet did not flush. This is probably one of the biggest concerns I've ever had in a hotel. How do I go to the bathroom? Well apparently you needed to be Hulk Hogan to get the handle to actually flush. I had to curl my free weights each time I needed to flush- awkward. -Do not tell me one of your amenities is free water. I can get water in the sink if need be. Also I did go down at one point for this water and the bottles were empty. Rude. -The room was decorated much like I decorate- cheaply. Everything looked nice, however you could tell it was decorated on a budget. The sheets were not comfortable. I mean they worked but the thread count had to be something in comparison to what you buy at Wal Mart. - They have 3-4 people working the front desk yet everything is electronic. Why hire these people if they don't do anything for you? Like I said if you're in a pinch stay there. It's so close to Times Square and for the price why not stay there if you can deal with the annoyances. At least there weren't any bed bugs. Maybe you'll have better luck and a toiled that actually flushes.

Yelp
I wasn't able to stay at the hotel as my conference was canceled due to the concerns about travel and large gatherings. Club Quarters waived my cancellation fee with no hassle, and I'm very grateful for their promptness and understanding. I'll definitely stay next time I come to NYC!

Yelp
Very strategic location. Close to Times Square, Broadway, subway, Fifth ave. Room is small but clean. Great service. It has a small gym with treadmill, elyptical, free weights, and one fitnesss machine. Definitely will come back. Free wifi which runs great. Complimentary water, tea, coffee. FYI there is no fridge but there is Keurig machine in the room.

Yelp
I would love to tell you that this is a lovely hotel; however, despite the fact that I had a confirmed reservation (and not a cheap one at that - $430 or so?) in advance, I arrived at 1am after a long-haul cross country flight from LAX and a $60 cab ride from JFK to find the front desk person calling other hotels, because they were oversold and did not have a room for me. I specifically chose this hotel because I knew I was arriving late and I had an early morning meeting the following morning - this hotel is one block from where I needed to be. Had I known earlier that they were oversold, I might have been able to save myself the trouble of cabbing to the hotel only to learn that they could not accommodate me. After 15-20 minutes of phone calls, desperately searching for a room someplace else, the front desk agent (who was stunningly kind and professional despite being in a terrible situation with a very upset customer). They wound up sending me to a very nice hotel - the Plaza - because it was literally the only room they could find. Another cab ride later, I got to the Plaza to discover that CQ had not sent the paperwork over that they needed to in order for me to check in. Long story short? I did not get into a room and a bed until after 2:30am, and then had to wake up earlier than expected to get back to a meeting in midtown. To add salt to the wound, imagine my surprise when I checked my credit card statement two days later and learned that they had charged me for the inconvenience, without providing a receipt and without telling me prior to my move to another hotel that they would be charging the card on file. I reached out to the general manager over email. While it took more than 24 hours to get a reply, she did eventually process a refund to my credit card. CQ caters to a very specific kind of low-maintenance business traveler like myself. When I travel, literally the only thing I need are safe, clean accommodations to rest. It is disappointing that they cannot even guarantee that minimal level of competency. Buyer beware.

Yelp
Fantastic. Staff was friendly to a person. My room was the perfect size. Smart use of space. Also a great location to see shows. There are many more positives, so go there and find out for yourself!!

Yelp
I have stayed at the Club Quarters in Boston many times and really like it. Besides being in a good location in the Financial District, it's clean, has nice amenities (walk-in shower, plenty of counter space in the bathroom, good location of outlets, free bottled water, loaner iPad chargers). It's a contemporary business model that I wish other hotels would adopt. I had a business trip planned to Manhattan and decided to stay at the Club Quarters in Midtown. Cancellation policy is noon the day before, and wouldn't you know it, my trip got cancelled at 12:15. I spoke with the manager, Richard, and he waived my reservation fee. I really appreciate that customer service aspect, and hopefully will be back to NYC in the future so that I can stay there.

Wish they had fridge Service 3/5 Quality 3/5 ok but doesn't have that clean feel 13.5/20 score

Yelp
Not a great hotel at all. My room was small which I expected in Manhattan. However, the bathroom was so small I couldn't even sit on the toilet straight. The room has no soundproofing at all from outside noise. I heard every garbage truck, construction equipment, and city noise all day/night long. The hotel is cheap with amenities in terms of pillows in room, towels, toiletries. They do not replace toiletries at all during my 4 night stay. On top of everything my AC was broken. I was told, "yeah the units are old, hopefully our engineer can fix it." Go to the holiday inn or Marriott, you won't regret it. The only positive was no bugs.

Yelp
I love this hotel. I've stayed here twice for work and the location is perfect, 45th street in Midtown right between 5th and 6th. The rooms are cozy but the size is fitting for New York City. Beds are comfortable and amenities are nice. Free yoga kit can be delivered to your room, there is a small workout room downstairs and free wifi, filtered water and coffee. Checking in and out were pain free, service was great. There is a nice lounge area with a bar that is open all day until like 11pm I think. There is also a restaurant called Restaurant Patrick that connects to the lounge and they are open for breakfast and lunch until 3 and then reopen for dinner around 5. I had breakfast there one morning and the menu was surprisingly unique and food was really good. All in all this is a great spot in midtown New York for business or leisure. Not a five star luxury hotel but I usually don't spend that much time in the hotel anyways so it's a good bargain for nice amenities and great location.

Yelp
Really good value. Excellent location. Very nice staff. Room was a little small but we paid 91 bucks a night! Good little gym. Due to Covid they don't clean the room during your stay. However, anytime we needed towels or anything we just called the front desk and they were delivered right away. I would definitely stay here again.
