We had a disappointing experience at this resort. Initially, we only wanted to visit the cafe. Despite the resort being completely empty, the receptionist informed us that we’d need to pay a 20€ day fee and necessarily have a reservation, just to get a coffee. While we were surprised by the policy, we decided not to stay. Out of curiosity, we asked if we could at least see the private beach, thinking it might be worth a return trip, but we were told we could only have a quick look if escorted by security.
This resort felt like an unfriendly, overpriced bubble that didn’t reflect the true spirit of Sao Tome. It seems more suited to guests looking for isolation than those wanting to explore and enjoy the local culture.
