The accommodations were great with a kitchenette allowing you to save $$$ on dining. I'd drop 5 stars if there was better food on site. The pool menu was ok and the food equally so. Shout out to Charles, best security guard in the biz. He deserves 5 stars alone!

Highly Recommend. Our room was very clean. Spacious. Kitchen was well equipped. Pool was big and clean. Shuttle was a great service. Runs on the hour every hour to the strip Treasure Island and pick up is on the half. Very convenient. Hotel provided self parking and valet parking both free. There was a pool table and other things for kids. The shuttle also takes you and brings you back from the supermarket daily. We stayed on the strip and here during the same trip and would stay at Wyndham instead of the strip. Easier access. Less traffic. More space.

Clean and modern resort but location is not ideal - on the other side of the freeway opposite where the cluster of famous casinos are located (not walking distance). Stackable washer & dryer in the unit is appreciated. Complimentary valet is great. Friendly check-on/check-out front desk staff. Very nice pool area. The only bad experience we had was the very pushy timeshare reps trying to make us attend a timeshare presentation, even after we nicely declined their offer 3 times. As we were walking away, they continued to pressure us to attend a presentation. Very annoying, and ruined our check-in experience.

This was our second year staying at Desert Blue during the July 4th-11th week. We love everything about it. The staff especially goes out of their way to make it a wonderful experience. Check in is a breeze, I needed more coffee for the coffee maker and it was delivered to me within 10 minutes. The pool help is attentive, the Poolside Grill has good food, good drinks and good staff. Elevators work flawlessly. Everything in our 1 bedroom worked perfectly. Love the view of the Rio and the city at night. bed and pillows are comfy, air works excellent. Wrist fobs to enter every door worked great. The shuttle to grocery store is really nice as well as to and from the Treasure Island on strip.

The resort was even nicer than the reviews that I read. The outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs were amazing. The staff was helpful and there is a shuttle to take you over to the strip and drop you off in front of Treasure Island. The rooms are spacious & stocked with everything we needed. They also provided free valet parking! This was a great place to stay & we will definitely be returning.

Peaceful, Friendly, and Clean — Best for Groups or Couples Club Wyndham Desert Blue is a very well-maintained and peaceful hotel with an extremely friendly and professional staff. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and everything feels clean and thoughtfully cared for. If you’re traveling with friends, as a couple, or in a group, it’s a great spot to unwind just off the strip. That said, as a solo traveler, I found it a bit limiting. The hotel doesn’t offer food or drinks on-site—just a small convenience area—so if you’re someone who likes to grab breakfast or coffee early, be aware there’s not much available in the building. It’s also not in a walkable area for restaurants or attractions, but once I discovered that I could walk across the street to the Rio, things got a lot easier. The Rio has food options and is close enough on foot if you don’t mind crossing a busy road. The shuttle to the strip is a huge plus—it runs hourly and is complimentary, which I really appreciated. Just plan ahead a bit since the hotel is off-strip and a little quieter (which could be a plus or minus depending on what you’re looking for). Overall, it’s a lovely and serene property with great service, just better suited for those traveling with others or who are okay with planning a bit more around meals and activities.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property. It was clean, fresh and updated. Room was spacious, clean and updated. Comfy bed.The location was perfect. Not on the strip but just a few min away in the shuttle. No casino on the property which was a plus because that equals no smoke. Pools, hot tubs and food at the pool bar was good. Staff was very welcoming and pleasant to deal with the entire time. They had scheduled events everyday. We really enjoyed the morning coffee and one afternoon was a bourbon tasting. I have nothing but good things to say about Desert Blue. We will be back for our next Vegas stay!

Google
Not on the Vegas strip, but close enough that you could walk there or take the free hourly shuttle that drops off at Treasure Island. Because of its close proximity, Uber is not a pricey option either. I personally liked the calmer vibe of not being on The Strip, but more importantly, this resort has free on-site self-parking. We rented a car to explore some things all around the city (and just outside the city), and paying $20+ per day to park was something I just wasn't willing to do - so it was great to have parking included in the rate. The room was spacious and clean. We loved that the room had a kitchen stocked with all the wares (and a dishwasher to clean them). The service was great. Any time we called front desk with a request it was accomodated in a timely manner. The pools and cabanas were amazing and never too crowded. The little shop near the front desk was well stocked with foods, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), snacks, otc medicines, etc. The only thing that could be construed as annoying is after check-in the front desk directs you to a Members desk to get room keys. There they try to sell you on a timeshare program. They weren't overly persistent after I made a few declines, but I could see how that would annoy others. What I did find sneaky is that I had to go back to front desk to get my room keys, so the initial claim that I had to get room keys at Members desk was apparently a lie. Other than this, everything was perfect. It was really convenient to have direct elevator lobby access from the valet (without having to go through main lobby). Entering from the rear of building (after self-parking) was also a short walk to elevator lobby. All-in-all this was a comfortable experience, and for the price we paid it was a great value.

Yelp
First with transparency : we're Wyndham Vacation Club owners. We've stayed at many WVC properties in Vegas and this is a nice one, though off the beaten path. There are some eating and drinking spots within walking distance and the Rio is across the street. The hourly shuttle to TI is nice but small so you're not guaranteed a seat. The daily 10am grocery shuttle is nice too. Loved our Strip view. Liked the 24 hr convenience store and game room (though why make us pay for games when we've already paid enough ? Give members tokens or something...). One bedroom lock off unit is comfortable but bummer no stovetop burners. Bedding is comfortable and bathroom amenities nice. It's a great spot if you want to focus on the N end of the strip, Arts District and downtown.

Yelp
Club Wyndham Desert Blue is a timeshare. Did we know this when booking? No. We drove from San Diego to Las Vegas expecting to have a smooth check-in. Upon arrival, we were told that our reservation that we confirmed weeks prior was no longer available. It took us about 45 minutes to have the issue solved. Checking-in is a 2-step process. Step 1: check-in with your credentials and learn about the amenities that the Wyndham has to offer. Step 2: you are directed to the "concierge" desk to pick up your keys but not before being presented with an offer of vouchers and a 4 day, 3 night stay at any Wyndham property of your choice. We were told all we had to do was attend a 60-90 minute presentation and we would receive the voucher of our choice and the Wyndham stay. We were required to place a $40 deposit to "guarantee" our spot. We were told to bring our IDs to the presentation. Upon checking in for the presentation, we were told that we needed to go back to our room to get a credit card to "verify" our identity. We attended the presentation which was cut short since we were adamant about not having interest in purchasing a Wyndham timeshare. Our presenter was shocked that we qualified for the presentation since a credit check is performed for everyone who checks in to the Wyndham. This was news to us. Before leaving, we were sent to another presenter to answer some questions about our experience and was asked multiple times if we were sure that we wanted to pass on owning a timeshare. We declined. Again. We received our voucher for attending the presentation but when we asked about receiving the 4 day, 3 night stay we were greeted with a confused looked. This stay is located in a safe location that is close to basic necessities, pretty quiet and isn't too far from the strip. Workers are nice and helpful. There is a cocktail mixer in the lobby and a coffee hour in the morning. There is also a pretty cheap small convenience store in the lobby. Free shuttle service to Treasure Island every hour. The shuttle also offers a grocery route in the morning. You receive the typical room card and also a wristband that you scan to gain entry to some parts of the building including the computer room, game room, elevators and the convenience store. Parking is good and not too far of a walk from the main entrance. Valet service is available. Our room was clean, spacious and had a kitchenette that included a dishwasher. The walls are thin so every morning we were awaken by our neighbor having a conversation. I might suggest the Wyndham if you don't mind: 1. Unnecessary steps to check-in and impatient front desk staff. 2. Listening to a sales pitch before receiving your room key and wristbands. 3. Possibly attending a timeshare presentation. 4. A credit check when you check-in.

Yelp
My family and I came from out of state to celebrate over the holiday weekend. Our flight got changed and we arrived hours earlier than check in thinking we'd have to wait but we were placed in a room instantly! The staff has been super friendly, they have so many great amenities and activities for kids to do. My favorite part I have to say was the complimentary margaritas and coffee bar in the morning
google avatar

Louise M.

Yelp
Very friendly service, rooms were big and beautiful and Margaritaville themed. I felt very safe here and they give out a bracelet to everyone which activates your room door your access to the pool and the elevators. Bed was very comfortable and it was nice having a full fridge and oven stove. Furnished kitchen and the Jacuzzi tub was fantastic. I would totally stay here again.

Yelp
Unassuming location off strip. Location is convenient and close enough but far enough away from the traffic and bustle of The Strip. You can drive up and possibly check in early. If not, they will hold your luggage until regular check-in starts at 4 pm. The valet is complimentary here, and there is no parking fee. We stayed here free. You will be directed to their wristband desk, and this is where they will try their hardest to get you to sign up for their sales presentation. You don't have to. However, it will usually come with a freebie of some sort. I know there are up to 4 bedroom units you can reserve. We had a 1 bedroom deluxe which comes with a sleeper sofa, king bed in master, full kitchen to cook with fridge and dining area. The kitchens are highly valuable to us to help save money on food here in Las Vegas. There are always daily activities and sometimes they include free food and drink. This particular stay there was an Octoberfest celebration with free brats, pretzels, and beer and our pool day on Sunday we had free mimosas! The pool area is beautiful, and you can reserve a cabana for a fee. There is also an outdoor bar and grill. My experiences are always exceptional with Club Wyndham, and Desert Blue is nothing less than spectacular.

Yelp
Definitely dropped from my past multiple visits annually. The bad: Arrived to a 2 bedroom deluxe Living room phone wasn't working Living room tv wasn't working Wall outlets wasn't working Had to call an engineer to reset the breakers. (It was locked out in the master bedroom) The pool-- you cannot bring anything like a soft ball to play catch Can't bring drinks to pool The bar- the drinks are served until 9pm Food stops around 5-6pm The person that cooked for us 2nd day was upset we had a pretty large order. The amount of the $7 fries in a box was HALF than the first day. (Not consistent: not good) Pizza was terrible -Owners update guy (not gonna mention name) presented something to me that basically told me I'm a fool if I don't do what he suggested, but omitted all the necessary details. Basically told me to buy more time share but I had to ask 10-15 questions to get it out of him. At the end of the day he wanted me to buy 100,000 more points, his tactics was to tell me to go sell the 100,000 points, and make back my monthly maintenance fees that way. Or have their company sell the points and I get 60% of profit. He was being very vague and tries to sell me but not being upfront. The next person, the supervisor was up front, gave me the real and I appreciated that. The good: Check in process Cleanliness Owners update was not pushy at all and we got our gift in an hour. Free coffee in the morning near elevators The bar- Constantine was amazing with service at the bar. The bar food: fries were good, chicken tenders were good. Drinks overall were good Get a bucket of beers vs single, it's cheaper! Get a bucket of mixed drinks vs a regular cup! You get more for the buck. Pool area: have games you can play Plenty of towels they will offer you and you won't have to check them in or out. Bag checks at pool entrance. (Safety & they don't want you to bring your own alcohol in) Gift shop in case you are lazy to go out n grab quick snack, or drinks but you will pay the price. Valet staff was friendly and helpful, polite and professional. This resort used to be 5 star for me... but it's dipping down.

Yelp
Having previously stayed at the sister property Wyndham Grand Desert, I had some high expectations rolling into the newer Desert Blue. CHECK IN: was pretty efficient, they let me check in at 2 which was well before the 4pm check in which is way too late (IMO) Note: They have you go to another desk to get the wristband if you want it.. that guy called me as soon as I walked in my room. He tried to get me to come back down to that desk and talk to him, which I did not. Dont want the sales pitch. ROOM: Wow, for a studio it was quite commodious! I felt like i had plenty of room and the accommodation was very inviting with the blue colors and we all know blue is extremely a la mode these days. The fridge was smaller and no range but everything else you'd need was right there. Snug accommodations. POOL: I liked this pool area. There were 2 large pools, a splash pad and 2 hot tubs. Other notable mentions was a pool bar & Grill with a larger menu than you'd expect, but the grill closes early. The food is fair to middling as well. This property was a pleasant surprise. No charge for parking, Secure building and the gates around the back and side entrances (Highland dr) make the lots much more secure from people who don't belong wandering or driving in.

Yelp
This facility is extremely outdated, unclean, and smells foul. The management and staff are not hospitable at all.

Meghan R.

Yelp
We had a fantastic stay, everything was top notch and the service was incredible. I was surprised to read other reviews saying that they tried hard to sell you a timeshare, we had nothing of the sort. In fact it was the most pleasant check in experience I think I've ever had, our concierge Erick was exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful! The facility is absolutely beautiful, the amenities are in great shape, our room was spotless and had everything we needed. The shuttle was a total game changer, we had no trouble getting a seat, it was fast and easy and convenient and saved us a lot in Uber costs. We will stay here every time we come to Vegas.

Yelp
Hotel/timeshare is very nice. Pool area is awesome with a bar. Wish it was open Later. All the staff has been helpful and very nice. Will come back.

Yelp
Nightmare, after my first review that I wrote last time Wyndham replied with a phone number to call Guess what the number is not reachable? I called several times, but there was no answer and no mail box to leave a voice message. I know my case with Wyndham can't fix easy. I am losing thousands of dollars for purchasing Wyndham timeshare BUT I promise I will do impossible to save others who go on vacations to Las Vegas Wyndham by giving them a few free dinner bus them to their meeting to sell them a lies about Wyndham timeshare I have a flyers ready show what happened to me and others people when they put us in the bus for their meeting and sold us .

Yelp
Pros: Family friendly Beautiful property Game room Pool Bar Snack shop Fitness room Lots of parking Possible cons (depending on lifestyle/purpose): No casino Off main strip A bit secluded, possibly inconvenient Car/ride prob necessary Unsure if there's a restaurant or any bites on site... we had a vehicle or ride for our entire stay and always went off property for all meals. If we didn't have a ride, all the spots I mapped nearby are at least a 10 minute walk. It really all depends on what you intend to do in Vegas that will either make or break your stay at this specific time share location. For families with young children that can rent a car while on vacation its a great spot. No smoke or casino to deal with. None of the adult inappropriate exposures. And its away from the main busy trafficked roads. If you're a young bachelor or couple that would def be a complete 180 on POV. None of that fun adulty things Vegas has to offer. Probably same for business folk that could possibly squeeze in some after hours play. The nearest casinos I've spotted during our stay were the Rio, kind of across the street in a long way. And the Gold Coast around the block. There was a Walgreens nearby but it was sketchy. Right next door to that was Chik fil a. The game room had a hockey table (pay to play) and a pool table as far as I could see. The pool area normally has more than one pool available but during our stay it was just the one pool, jacuzzi and splash pad or interactive water play area. I rarely schedule in time for pool relaxation on vacations mainly because we're surrounded by water. But the kids always beg for it and we always pack swim wear just in case. Our visit was brief because of timing and the pool closes at 9pm, the splash pad shuts off around 7pm I believe. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We love every Wyndham location we visit because it suits our vacation/staycation needs perfectly. We are a family with teens and we're all pretty active. Comfy beds, full kitchen, TVs in each room, enough bathrooms, all very clean and spacious with cold AC. Desert Blue had all we needed and more.

Yelp
Don't stay here. Platinum rewards member, they will not resolve customer service issues Please don't Stay here I gave one star as they won't take a zero. Per your request I called the 855-670-0758 number 8 times always busy no one answers [see photo ] I'll say it again I gave you 1 star because they won't accept a zero. So much for platinum membership.......... The line may be always busy because of the sheer volume of complaints.

Yelp
Just wanted to thank Erick at the front for being extremely helpful when I needed help. He was so kind and friendly while helping me! We loved staying here with our kids. We love the ability to go in and out when we want and be close to all the amazing restaurants on spring mountain. The shuttle to treasure Island is awesome!! Lastly the pools were clean!! I love that it's open until 9pm whereas most hotels close at 6pm! We enjoyed night swim! We liked the activities and hospitality shown by the staff. We'll be back!

Yelp
Great spot for families! We had the three bedroom presidential suite and absolutely loved it. Three large bedrooms each with its own restroom. Two pools, two jacuzzis and a small 1 feet deep wading pool. Nice outside bar with delicious drinks.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Great location right off the strip. Checked in early and customer service was great. We booked a studio and it was pretty spacious. Loved the kitchen! So convenient. Fridge, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, plates, bowls, utensils, etc. I also like we had a ceiling fan. We stayed in January so we didn't get to use the pools but they looked amazing. They also have a shuttle that will take you to Treasure Island if you want to go to the strip. I would have given them 4-5 stars but once we got into our room we noticed candy on the floor meaning it wasn't vacuumed :( they conveniently supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash, as well as hand soap, and lotion all in pump bottles, but every single one was empty. A/C vents were pretty dusty too.

Griffin J.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this place more. Comfortable rooms, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. From the time we walked in to the time we left, super accommodating. Great location just off the strip, very tame.

Yelp
Clean and quiet rooms! Comfy beds! 2 TVs when you want to rest before going back out! 2 pools 2 hot tubes. No casino so no Smoke! 12 minute walk to the Strip! And really close to all the restaurants of Chinatown! $126 for the week total! Ask us how!
google avatar

Yelp
The timeshare units are a joke. Been trying to get a room here for three weeks. 5 different brokers have rooms "available" but when I put my request, they ask me to cancel cause it's not available but three layers and they still have them up. Two of them told me to wait a week or two, I do that and they raise there prices by $100 a night. They are Just trying to maximize their profit. If there aren't available, they should take them off or at least block of the days so it doesn't show up Update, they message me back on what they can do to help, help me get in touch with someone who can help me get a room
google avatar

Roy M.

Yelp
Told us 15-20 min for our room to be ready. Currently at min 45 right now , Staff are hella cocky. Just endlessly flirting with one another. EDIT Going on about an hour at this point. We also ended up getting roomed next to a noisy, loud obnoxious family. I highly doubt this hotel is fully vacated and they decide to put customers next to each other for logistical purposes. First time here and so far, the charisma & demeanor of the staff and the tenants staying here is emblematic why there's a lot of timeshare owners here. Just lousy from what I see. Sacrifice the money and stay at a higher end hotel.

Ray P.

Yelp
Well, apparently, sitting out by the pool, some rules are enforced and some rules are not. for me on observing other people at the pool. I watched how discrimination happens here if you're young and pretty and you have your junk hanging out you can do whatever you want here, but if your family with your kids, you need to watch your step because the Nazis are here and they will get you, I just found out the hard way. I've been here three hours and I'm demanding a refund. I want to go somewhere else. They are not family friendly.

Dave ..

Yelp
This is one of Wyndham's nicer resorts. We have stayed here a couple of times. There is a great pool area here. The room is nice and roomy like most other Wyndham timeshares, and the beds are super comfortable. It's a bit off the strip, which actually is fine to me, but across the street from the Rio (which is definitely looking shabby these days). The one thing I have to say is that they need to replace their wood furniture. Several pieces of furniture were damaged (scratches, peeling wood) and really should be replaced at this time.
google avatar

Ny'ker C.

Yelp
Horrible snake oil salesmen who ruined my first ever trip to Vegas. Roped us into a presentation and kept us hostage for 6 hours. Don't fall for their vacation time shares. If anything happens to the property, you are responsible. If any one offers you a free brunch and then asks you for a $20 deposit- RUN! They took us here and claimed this is how our time shares will look like.
google avatar

Chastity L.

Yelp
Everything was great at this hotel up until me and my family had left the property only to come back to the room to find money missing from my boyfriends bag, $2000 to be exact.. we then got security involved and they in fact informed us that someone had used a key to get in our room. We now have no way of knowing who due to the fact there's no cameras in the hallways and I'm not even sure if the hotel is looking further into it. SO PLEASE BE AWARE THERES SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES GOING ON HERE AT THIS HOTEL.

Yelp
I had a very nice day at Wyndham Desert blue. All of the staff were very nice and friendly. the premises was clean. Pool area was very nice. the room had everything that I needed. I really appreciate that. The rooms are reasonably priced and there are no resort or parking fees.

Hailey E.

Yelp
Horrible Service - BEWARE During my stay I spent the day at the pool where the lifeguards and food and beverage servers were beyond rude and unprofessional. The way these employees speak to guest was beyond me. Servers refuse to take food / beverage orders if they don't feel like. And the lifeguard Issac was beyond rude, not helpful, and was disrespectful to myself and my guests. Had to speak to his supervisor about such behavior. Not to mention if you need anything from front desk (towels, toiletries, luggage cart) you'll be waiting hours. Overall the room are nice, but if you're looking to enjoy a day by the pool prepare to be treated like dirt. Would not recommend to anyone.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite hotels!!! Huge space, super clean, friendly staff & fast valet service. The only thing it lacked being that having food delivered to you is the "in" thing now days, is that when delivery came, no one came to deliver it to my room, we had to leave our room to go down to get it. Check in was fast and easy. They had these bracelet bands with mini cards on it so u can keep on u at all times. Made it easier to get thru elevator and doors without having to look for the key card. The room came with a full kitchen, cute dining area, living room that had a Queen pull out bed, convenient washer n dryer, separate one bedroom with a king cal size bed that had so much space and a spa tub fit for two! this location doesn't have a casino down stairs (THANK GOD!) Although we had to go to other locations to play in a casino, coming back to this hotel made me feel relaxed without all those bar customers, loud noises and traffic. Would I book again? I ALREADY DID!

Yelp
One of the newest Wyndham properties in Las Vegas is the Wyndham Desert Blue property. The layout is nice, rooms are clean and in great order. The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender, and the usual dishes, cups and silverware. There was a small desk area near the entranGreat views from both the bedroom and living room windows! This particular room only had a shower and no tub in the bathroom. The room also didn't have a dishwasher or washer and dryer. The bedroom had a comfortable bed with nice linens. Dresser with a flat screen tv, but no DVD player. Plenty of lighting. The living room had a sofa bed, flat screen tv and chair. No DVD player. Plenty of lighting. The pool area is very nice! 2 large pools, 2 jacuzzis, a water play area for kids, games around (corn hole, ping pong, jumbo Jenna, jumbo connect Four, etc. several cabanas for rent, but plenty of seating. They also have a bar with additional table seating, BBQ grill and large rest rooms with showers. The property also has a game room, small convenience store for some items, etc. All the staff encountered were very courteous and friendly! Everything combined made for a very nice stay!

Yelp
DON'T DO THE TIME SHARE HERE. Brian, the customer service said it will be 90 mins or less for a company tour and they tried to sell us the timeshare. It ended up taking over 2 hrs. He didn't even apologize for it. Such a waste of time!

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect from this place. I was offered this stay through a host of AirBNB when they cancelled my prior reservation. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My fiance' and I checked in during 4th of July Weekend and to my surprise it wasn't crowded at all. Let me take you through the details so you can decide if you want to stay or not based on my experience. First, it can be a little tricky getting here. There's not a direct freeway exit. Not a problem. The place looks nice. There is plenty of free parking and there's always security guards (very friendly) that are monitoring the cars. Check-in was easy. The front desk guy was so damn friendly, I was thrown off. He was very pleasant and welcoming and provided us with a lot of information. Here's the catch...in order for you to get access to the amenities they send you over to Customer Service...and this is where they try to "give you" free tickets to shows. I'm pretty sure you have to watch a timeshare presentation. I'm not interested in all that, so they just gave me my things with no pressure. Love that. Our room was nice (Room 321). We had a studio suite with a partial kitchen (microwave, dish washer, small fridge, sink, cups, plates, etc.). The living room area is separated from the room. Plenty of space. There's two tv's (even though the one in the bedroom is small af). We couldn't hook our Roku up to the TV, which was a minus for us. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Plenty of towels. they give you everything you need (extra blankets, little vacuum, etc.) I don't think anyone was staying on our floor because we didn't see anyone and didn't hear any noise. They have some cool amenities that we didn't take advantage of (too busy gambling) such as yoga classes, pool, game room (pool table and PacMan), a snack room, etc. So yeah, I would stay again. Someone said they had roaches in their room, but I didn't see any in mines. If you're looking for a great food truck option, there's a hibachi food truck right around the corner ( Hibachi Time). Thank you later.

Yelp
Beautiful member of Wyndham Resorts Time Shares. We had a large one bedroom condo with full kitchen. Appreciate the washer/dryer in unit. Remember that with a time share there is no maid service unless you pay extra for it. Your responsibility to get towels daily and throw out trash. Great location near Rio Casino. Good parking situation . Always best to leave car and taxi to casinos.

Nice room, served its purpose. Terrible proximity to the strip as far as walking distance. Friendly staff, clean rooms, adequate amenities, well stocked convenient store and overall great rating. I am a Wyndham club owner and I have stayed at both locations (Grand Desert & Desert Blue). IMO Grand Desert is the place for me because it suits my age range and closer proximity to the strip (walking distance).

Yelp
Don't do it. Desert Blue looks good from a distance, but the customer service really bites. I checked into a room and found a previous guest's dirty linens on the furniture and bags of trash on the floor. It took 3 calls and throwing it out in the hallway to get it picked up - at 2am. Then Desert Blue left 12 guests stranded at a shuttle stop until 1:30am! The desk clerks said WE must have been in the wrong location or were late and missed the shuttle. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! Some of us were 30 minutes early and the shuttle did not come. Their solution was to give us 3 phone numbers that were disconnected, then tell us we'd just have to wait (besides it's a "free" service) and to make sure we were at the right place this time! When the driver came at 1:30am she came to the exact spot we had been waiting for almost 2 hours. My vacation time is valuable to me, and I won't waste any more of it on Club Wyndham.

Yelp
Got the one bed presidential suite. Just stunning. 2 bathrooms, state of the art appliances, washer dryer, living room and dining. Had a 4 day extended stay and couldn't ask for a better stay for a better price. Jacuzzi with jets. Almost impossible to find on the stripz Avoid the trash time share talks. Thats my only advice

Yelp
The service is great when you check in. Everyone is friendly. Free valet. For this they did a great job. Rooms are nice and clean. Newer than the last Wyndham Resort that I stayed at. My downfall with this resort is that the property is small. Not too many amenities. To get to the pool, you have to walk across the front driveway. It's looks nice in pictures but the pool is actually really small. So is the bar area. The gym is tiny but they do have a water dispenser and towels. The location is great. It's behind the Rio. I've stayed at the strip so many times that honestly I'm tired of it. It's great if you are planning on walking to and from casino. Did that already. I like off the strip... easy in and easy out of parking. I'm mostly a downtown casino player. Never win on the strip. They have free shuttle trips. One goes tonSmith's the grocery store... one goes to the Rio and one goes to the Caesar's palace. They will give you the schedule when you check in. It's place isn't bad. Ive been at way better resorts for my timeshare exchange. That's why the three stars. Kinda disappointed. Was expecting more wow. Lastly, smokers.... yes it's Vegas but no smoking. The only smoking area is outside to the right of the building. Kinda annoying

Yelp
I have been a Wyndham owner at Grand Desert in Vegas since 2003. We have been there several times for family gatherings and parties and have always been very satisfied. This year we thought we would try Wyndham Desert Blue Margaritaville. I reserved a three bedroom deluxe unit for August 14 - 18 to celebrate my birthday and we invited our daughter, her husband and our granddaughter to join us. We arrived at the resort at about 2 pm and registered understanding that our membership was VIP and entitled to early room occupation. The room was not ready when we arrived which is not an uncommon occurrence. We waited for about a half hour and we're given our room keys. When we entered the room 2 men were working I'm the master bathroom. They said they were trying to fix a problem with the shower. They remained in there for another hour. When they left I asked them if the problem had been fixed and they replied "partially" but the water pressure was still low. I called the front desk after testing the shower confirming the workers reply. I was told that someone would be up later to investigate. We then went out and began our Vegas vacation. We had dinner and then went to the casino. My wife, who is handicapped, wanted to return to the room to rest so she went up alone. Shen she got there her wristband key would not work so she called the desk. They told her to return but she was exhausted so finally someone came up to open the door. I arrived a couple of hours later and neither of my keys would work and I knocked loudly to awaken my wife and we both turned in for the night. When my daughter and her family returned several hours later none of there keys worked. The next morning we were not able to shower because all that came out was scalding hot water with very low pressure so we called the desk and were informed they were waiting for a part. We did the best we could with sponge baths before heading out. The sink in the other bathroom also was having problems and my granddaughter burned her hand. I called the desk again and was assured the water problem would be fixed. I gave them permission to enter the room when we were out. When we returned that night I assumed the problem had been corrected. I went to take a much needed shower and nothing had changed. The next day I was very angry and spoke to David, the manager. He apologized but said there was a delay getting a necessary part to fix the shower. This is now the day of our long awaited birthday dinner at Bobby Flay's new restaurant. As we were seated I received a text message reminding me that we were due to check out the next morning which was August 17th. My reservation was for the 14th through the 18th. I panicked and interrupted the dinner to call the front desk. I was told that I was mistaken and put on hold for 10 minutes. When she returned she said I was wrong and we had to leave the room the next morning. I found out much later after my dinner was destroyed that it was not my mistake but Wyndham's mistake. The next morning I called David, the manager again about still nothing being done about the shower and the reservation mix up. He asked me what he could do to make this up to us. I replied that is up to you. He called back later and said the suite would be comped and to look for a refund of points by the end of the week. When I returned home I checked and by the following Monday I saw that 90000 points had been returned to my account. The problem is the point total for the suite was 210000 points. BEWARE OF WYNDHAM DESERT BLUE MARGARITAVILLE!

Yelp
BEWARE COCKROACH INFESTATION!!! So I spot a few small bugs on the back wall of the kitchen area. I notice a few more in the sink. Now. I'm trying to figure out where these things are coming from. I open up the cabinet under the sink and low and behold, there are 2 live adult cockroaches and about 25-30 small babies along with weeks worth of roach feces buildup. This room probably hasn't been properly cleaned in weeks. I call the front desk to report this and they send maintenance up. The guy brought his spray and sprayed and the next thing you know, about 12 more adult roaches and hundreds of babies start coming out of the wall and dishwasher. I was literally disgusted! Maintenance got on the radio to report the roach infestation (in his own words) and said he's recommending a room change. This all began at about 12:15am. So after about 30-40 min., I have to go to the front desk in PJs and all to inquire about what's going on. They offer us another room and I'm not sure I even want to stay at this place. Being that it was now almost 1:00am, I agree to change rooms but only after requesting the hotel staff go check the new room first to make sure it's clean and no sign of bugs. I am told they inspected the room and it's clean. We pack up and change rooms only to enter the new room and find it's filthy. Coffee grinds on floor and counter tops, sticky substance stuck on the stove top, floors not vacuumed, crumbs on the dining chairs, TV in living area doesn't work, lipstick stains on the pillowcases. AC unit super loud and water in one of the bathrooms smelled like sewer water. Now not only am I disgusted, I'm upset. I call the front desk to report the 2nd room is not clean and the girl is not helpful at all. She has the nerve to ask for a list of all of the things wrong. Are you kidding me? I ask for a manager or supervisor and of course, I get "sorry we are short staffed". Why isn't there anyone on duty that can be helpful with these types of situations or at least someone on call? My response was why don't you come up and take a look yourself? At this point. I have to make due with just requesting new linens because it's now 1:20am and I had my 80yr old parents with me. They send security up with the items we requested and they come in and look the the room and are also in shock they could actually give me this room after everything I just went through with the roach room. I am told a manager would contact me in the morning and he would be in at 8:30am. I ask that he call me at 9:30am. No call, so at 10:10am I go to the front desk to ask to speak with the manager. Now I'm told he wouldn't be in until 11:00am. Would have been nice if someone called to let me know. I finally end up speaking with the general manager. She was understanding and apologized for her staff dropping the ball on all aspects from housekeeping to maintenance. It's highly unlikely an "infestation" is limited to just one room. Now I'm hoping none of us brought these critters home with us. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place and I would NEVER stay there again. On another note, I must mention that check in with Qais was excellent. The Wyndham rep at the counter where you get your wristband was rude and very pushy at trying to get you to attend an "update presentation". Tried to entice with gifts and wouldn't take no for an answer. I am forever traumatized after this horrible and disgusting experience. It'll be a while before I can stay in another hotel.

Yelp
Great place to relax and get away! Lots of pools close to the strip. Absolutely beautiful! No room service due to covid. Highly recommend and would go again

Yelp
Absolutely loved this hotel! The customer service was amazing, our room was really nice, modern, clean. Really easy access to get in and out of. I loved that there was a shuttle every half an hour to take you to the strip so you didn't have to deal with the madhouse of driving. Would absolutely stay here again!

Yelp
Beautiful resort about a mile from the strip. Views overlook the lights of Las Vegas with the mountains in the background. Fun pool bar and restaurant to grab a quick bite and shoot the breeze with the bartender. If you are a timeshare owner ... the check in was very quick and smooth with no pressure to attend a sales presentation. There is an hourly shuttle that will take you to Caesar's Palace and the strip. If you're ok not being directly on the strip than this is the place for you!

Yelp
During my stay at Wyndham Desert Blue I challenged myself to guess what their Intention Statement is. I define an Intention Statement as a blunt statement that speaks to a person's, a group's, or an organization's core values and desires. The key is that it gives clarity to leverage activities in memorable and meaningful ways. By the time I left Las Vegas I believe I figured out what their Intention Statement is: They want to help welcome people home. With that kind of intention, they don't see their property as the typical hotel; rather, they see it as owned by the people who stay their, and they are simply working to keep it running smoothly. So when someone walks through the door they are not simply walking into another hotel; rather, they are truly coming home! I'd you're looking for a place to stay in Vegas, you won't be disappointed with Wyndham Desert Blue. The place is exquisite from the moment you drive up. The staff is friendly and attentive, every room has a kitchen, there's a complement shuttle to both sides of the strip, and it's all reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Who wouldn't love a hot tub in their room?! Out of all our visits to Vegas, Wyndham Desert Blue was our favorite place to stay. Valet is available. Self parking is at the rear of the building. Security is always walking around the parking lot and the floors which made me feel very safe. Checked in late and no charge; awesome! The front desk had us all done in like 3 minutes. Concierge desk was helpful on getting our hanging display tag for our car. They got us scheduled for a presentation for $20, which we later cancelled and was refunded the $20. We were discouraged by our past experiences with the WorldMark Las Vegas concierge desks being pushy and their rude attitudes. We might try it next time because this Wyndham's staff was quite friendly and mentioned their numerous displayed awards for, in short, not being pushy. Room was very spacious. Full kitchen and dining room. The bathroom had a separate shower, hot tub, two sinks, and laundry room. Pool opens at 7am. Convenience store is 24/7 and only accepts credit/debit cards. Recreation has shuffle board and a pool table with a separate arcade game room across the hall. Gym is located in the back of the building and open 24/7. Activities room is next to the elevators; check list of free activities at the kiosk or on the paper handed by our by the concierge desk. All these rooms can be accessed by your room key, as well as the elevators and stairs on the first floor. Safety first.

Yelp
Educate yourself. Their timeshare sales pitch is this: Feed you poor quality food. Then put you in a group sales pitch with a folksy sales guy who cracks cute jokes about the "Four B's" of hotel rooms...Bed, Bathroom, Bible, and a Bill. Hardy har har. Use a slick corporate presentation with nice photos of 3-star resorts and keep raising his hand to get the sheep...er....people to copy him. It's slimy sales 101 and it's embarrassing to watch humans participate. Very cringeworthy when he makes statements like "You will only wait in line 15 minutes at Disney World" which is obviously false/deceptive. He will use a simple inflation calculator to tell you that you're spending 60k-100k on vacations anyway and keep the "Aw shucks" attitude going the entire time. The actual numbers are ugly. If you like a timeshare program, consider that you can buy resale for 70% off. Visit TugBBS and learn all about resale and why you should NEVER buy from the developer. Don't fall for their crap. Even if you pay cash, you are 70% underwater the second you sign. If you finance it like a fool, you are completely screwed. I truly want each of you to save your vacation time and if you want to poke at them for their free gifts, fine, but they aren't worth it. The show tickets and cash are not worth the pressure/nonsense they will give you. If you want to get out quicker without the attitude, here is how you do it: Set your timer to 2 hours. 1. Firmly let them know upfront that you only buy resale because they are 70% off. They may try to spin some right of first refusal nonsense or some owner restriction, but just keep repeating this line as if you didn't hear them. 2. If anything went wrong at all in first 15 min...even a rude employee or a funny smell, reiterate that because of this poor start, you can't fully trust then and won't be buying as a result. 3. Repeat step 1 again as often as possible. Let them know you are aware of TUGBBS (they hate this!) or the resale market prices. 4. Do not be polite or feign any interest. Do not answer their questions. You are under no obligation. You simply say "I don't feel like sharing those private details with anyone today, but I will fulfill my obligation by listening to you talk. I don't give information like that to strangers." They will know they have 0% chance and when they use lines like "Keep an open mind", you have won. At that point, slam it home firmly as soon as they say "keep an open mind" and immediately respond with "NO! My mind is made up, so when you're ready to be done, let me know". Then you show them the timer you've been keeping and say we can either sit here until it's up or we can be done now. Most of the time, they go back person 2 or person 3 to try a different approach so you repeat your lines again if you like. Practice nonverbal cues like playing on your phone while they talk and even during the presentation. You are under no obligation to listen and you will still get your gifts because the market is strictly regulated and they only spend $75 per couple. I try to have fun. My record is 20 minutes at a Hilton Grand but Wyndham is tougher because they use the group model. Now you know. The salesmen here will lie and pressure. They are wolves. So you either become the alpha and use my tricks to stiff arm them (quite fun!!!) or you become the prey. Don't be neutral and polite! It will only delay you and it will make them turn up the pressure if you leave the door open a little.

Yelp
Yesterday 1/9/22, we attended a presentation. If any of you are thinking of buying a Timeshare, Wyndham Desert Blue in Vegas is the place to do so. Absolutely no pressure & great information. Thank you Roy. Its sister resort, Wyndham Grand Desert in Vegas, was HORRIBLE. Unfortunately, most try to pressure you but NOT Wyndham Desert Blue.

Yelp
Please keep in mind this review has NOTHING to do with the timeshare sales presentation they make--if you choose to do that. We did that for free show tickets (one of the cirques), and it was worth it, although they said it would only take an hour--it ended up taking over 3 hours. So if you want to sit through a sales pitch for free tickets, do it--just say "no!" though to buying. Now, onto the resort. We've stayed at a lot of Wyndham resorts and this is up there with some of the best. We had a 2-bedroom presidential and it was a very large suite. Large rooms, spacious dining room, and a more-than-adequate kitchen. The living room, however, was cramped. Usually our family likes to sit around the living room at these resorts after a long day and relax together. Not much room to do that for even a family of 4. But you're in Vegas, so it's not a major complaint. The pools are wonderful. They're what you expect from a pool in a desert--very refreshing. They have plenty of lounge chairs to go around. We never saw it close to capacity. All the staff are amazing. They are so kind and helpful--it seems like they all want to work there. They always had a smile on and were very responsive to our needs and requests. Parking is free but they also have free valet, which is nice. Shuttle to Rio and Caesar's every hour. Free wi-fi for up to four devices. My one gripe would be that check-out is 10am--no exceptions. 10am is REALLY early, especially in Vegas!

Yelp
Beautiful building. It was not like any other Wyndham I've stayed in. The service was impeccable ! Valet service was available best I've ever had. Pool area is gorgeous with a bar. It's across from Rio where dinner was delicious just hope on the shuttle fRom the hotel. Rooms were as expected Wyndham charm. I would love to revisit the sight. I loved the little self pay store for snacks ..... definitely a beauty
