Phenomenal Stay at Club Wyndham Midtown 45! Mr. Wooten and his team did a phenomenal job ensuring our stay was seamless. The room was spotless, and we appreciated the timely turnover with fresh sheets during our visit. The views from the room were absolutely stunning, and the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. For New York, the space was surprisingly roomy and comfortable. I’ll definitely be booking again—highly recommend!

Please read until the end and be advised to decline doing the tours. Best part of this location: The Presidential suite was modern, clean and quiet. I was very happy with the size and accommodations. Unfortunately, if you are not an owner with Wyndham, you will not receive the same treatment as an owner. Good part of the location: The service and the concierge was very nice and professional. Worst part about this location: Unfortunately, after 30 years as the child of an owner with Wyndham, I have to say that the tours and incentives are no longer what they used to be in my 20+ plus years experience. I am not an owner yet and I did the tour at this location. I was interested in becoming an owner because Viktoriya was the best tour representative I have had in 20 years of doing tours with my parents and my daughter. Unfortunately I did not qualify this time. I accepted a American Express gift card and local restaurant voucher. I have never had an issue with any incentives that I have received but this time was different. I usually vacation in California and Florida at the same Wyndham locations although I have been to Wyndham resorts in Hawaii, South Carolina, Maryland, and Washington DC. This was my first time at this location. I was here for an unexpected occasion, the memorial service for my best friend. I usually vacation for five to seven days but this was a last minute trip due to the nature of the reason for the trip. The American Express gift card does not work anywhere. I was on the phone over three hours with American Express and they were not able to assist me with any locations in person online or in person that will accept the gift card. Then I was told to contact the Wyndham department that gave it to me and find a solution. I contacted the marketing department at this location 24 hours ago and I have not received any assistance. I got a phone call and was told that they would get back to me. My advice for anyone visiting this location: enjoy the hotel and the view on the 33 floor but decline the tour unless you want to waste your time. It is not about the money but the experience that robbed me of my valuable time and energy. Be warned and good luck 🍀👍🏽

We spent five days and four nights at this hotel through an RCI exchange. We loved the hotel, it is clean and comfortable. Great location! Only a few blocks from the Time Square. There are tons of restaurants ranges from under $10 a person to $100+ per person. Some restaurants offer discounts for this hotel. The hotel offers pastries and drinks on certain days, different activities everyday. The roof top was amazing.

We loved this place for our first visit. The walk-in closet was a nice feature. The bathroom was tight, but adequate and very beautiful. The front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. We felt a bit pressured in the sales presentation, but walked away unscathed as we knew our limitations going in. It was very convenient to be close to everything we wanted to do and see. There were beautiful views of the NY skyline from the lounge and outdoor balcony on the 33rd (top) floor. Construction made wait time a little long for the elevators. That's to be expected. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

Google
Everything about this place and the service is excellent. We even got an early check in. Like four hours early. Which was super awesome because we drove for seven hours to get here and need some rest. I really appreciated that. The location is also really great. It is not in the craziness of New York, but close enough. Just 10 minutes walk from time sq.

Google
I liked the hotel, the room was very nice and comfortable, the location was horrible, only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. You see drug addicts and homeless people everywhere. I think 35 dollars a day for parking is ridiculous. I also didn't like that they want to force you to go to a meeting to sell you a timeshare membership and that they also charge you 60 dollars to attend. I would return to this hotel but in a different location and that you don't have to pay 35 dollars a day for parking.

I stayed here two nights back in January for a work trip. I had a corner room with amazing views of the Chrysler Building. King size bed super comfy. Coffee and tea for the morning, a nice size, impeccable bathroom. Incredibly well connected to Central Station and La Guardia airport. The rooftop has also great spots, unfortunately it was way too cold in January to enjoy it. I’m coming back next week and I booked again at the Club Wyndham Midtown! Looking forward.

Google
The club lobby is chaotic with time share salespeople trying to pitch their property for low stakes prizes. It felt awkward and annoying to walk through. The elevator is not secure; anyone could walk in and get on. The best feature is the lounge on the 33rd floor with amazing views of the city. Close proximity to grand central station and the UN complex.

Yelp
If you've ever been to a Club Wyndham property, you know the drill. How do I get to my room while trying to run the gauntlet, that very uncomfortable visit with the concierge station after picking up your room keys. Out of all of the properties that I've stayed at, this one was the absolute worst. The guy would not take no for an answer to attending an owner update/presentation. He was super aggressive and downright belligerent when I continued to decline. Thanks for ruining my trip when all I wanted was to go up to my room to get some rest. They really need to retrain their employees! They are an embarrassment to the brand. Now if you can get past that horrible business model, the one big pro about staying here was the location. It was very convenient as it was located just a couple of blocks from Grand Central. It was within walking distance to everywhere I needed to go for the duration of my trip. They have pretty cool elevators here. I found my room to be clean and in good working condition.

Yelp
We had a very disappointing experience at Club Wyndham Midtown 45 and would not recommend staying here. We arrived at the hotel around 12 pm, knowing we were a bit early for check-in, but we expected that they could at least hold our bags and give us a reasonable estimate for when our room would be ready. When we asked about check-in, the staff said it would only be "a couple hours." We came back at 3 pm, and they repeated the same vague response. This happened yet again at 3:30 pm. It's now 4 pm, which is a standard check-in time, yet we're still getting no clear answers besides the generic "soon." The staff showed a complete lack of time management and had no sense of urgency or organization. The communication was poor and unhelpful, leaving us in the dark without any genuine updates. We also noticed a lack of concern for customer service overall, which made the experience all the more frustrating. This hotel clearly needs better processes for handling check-ins and guest communication, especially when it comes to managing guests' expectations.

Carla G.

Yelp
First, the resort requires you attend a "presentation". This is to be read as major sales push. The room is adequate, the sales people incredibly pushy. On the whole, a less than pleasant experience. We have been timeshare owners for a number of years. Biggest mistake ever. Wyndham will screw up your account, put you in their collection, charge you late fees and collection fees, all while taking out their automatic payments, and not tell you there's a problem with your account. Then they sic their external collection agency on you who will tell you that it is YOUR responsibility to make sure that Wyndham is doing their job. The only problem is that no one will tell you where on their website you can find a "Charges and Payment History." Nor will they tell you where to find all the other fees they assess. Be Forewarned. I am truly disgusted with Wyndham. Biggest waste of money yet. :(

Michelle B.

Yelp
Hotel is fine. Do NOT come to any Wyndham property unless you want to be harassed for a time share booking before you can even sit down from all of your travels. The sales staff for the timeshare will not let you speak. They will try to get you booked into a presentation, require a $40 deposit for said presentation, require multiple IDs to get into said presentation, and then not follow through on their part of the 'voucher' they promised. I have been to MANY Wyndham properties and this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The lack of respect for the human they are speaking to is astonishing. I have been in sales most of my life... Your job is SALES not ultimate pressure and disrespect. It's worse than trying to buy a used car. Stay away if you value your time and experience.

Yelp
Club Wyndham Midtown 45, as its name suggests, is located on East 45th street in Midtown. The location is decent enough, with many lines within a short walk that take you anywhere in the city. There is a corner store on Third and 45th, and dining options in the vicinity. Particularly enjoyed Smith & Wollensky. We had a two bedroom suite which worked for us. Upon entry there was a bedroom which shares the hallway bathroom which had a shower. Walking down the hall you get the living room and kitchen/dining table. The living room had a setup with the TV being in the corner and a sofa bed. Which was a shame as the TV obstructed the floor to ceiling windows which framed the view nicely. It is next to the main ensuite bedroom had a king bed and bathroom with tub. It was just the three of us sharing the suite, but it should fit up to four comfortably. As far as the amenities go, there is a gym/laundry room on the third floor and a rooftop lounge adjoining the outdoor terrace on the thirty third floor. The building footprint is fairly compact and it is a stretch to call it a resort. A pool, even an indoor one on one of the floors, would have gone a long way. One major flaw was that the right elevator was only working half the time, which made getting in and out of the building a pain. I would say the stay was between the 3.5-4 range.

Yelp
It's an ok spot, walkable to many spots to eat and shop. Unfortunately they don't let food delivery up or allow them to drop food in the lobby. All it takes is setting aside a table for goodness sake. Also, my assigned room is directly across from the elevators so no bueno. There are daily activities on the 33rd floor

Bob

Yelp
Great staff, made us feel very supported. They even let us check in very early that day. I wish the team that was trying to book us for an owners meeting would be a little less aggressive. Wouldn't take no for an answer, and 8-10 calls to our cell phones and room phone.

Yelp
Upon check-in everyone is really nice. You can tell they are hustling to get you to extend or get into another timeshare. The valet driver was really nice as he let me park my car to get my bags upstairs. He also assisted me when I checked out and made sure I was protected in the rain. These gentleman were super friendly. The rooms were ok standard hotel suite nothing too special. The view was nice from the rooftop. Rooftop is def my favorite thing about this hotel! Would stay again for a last minute trip.

Yelp
Hotel/timeshare exchange in Midtown, a couple of blocks from Grand Central Terminal. Stayed here for a weekend and check in started at 4pm. They have valet for $65 ($90 for SUVs) and $10 for in and out privileges. They have cards as well a wristbands that you can use to access your room. There's two elevators that work (the third one didn't seem to be operating). You enter the floor you're staying on and then you're directed to which elevator to use. They put on various events - for instance, they had a mimosa hour with free mimosas and kettle chips one afternoon. However, note that the salespeople will repeatedly ask you to attend a sales presentation, even if you decline multiple times. The studio we stayed in had a king sized bed - note that the couch is not a pullout one. It has a fridge and small kitchen. There's also a tv in the bathroom. We didn't spend a ton of time in the room, but it's a decent stay and I liked the location.

Yelp
We were on the 28th floor. Some views were great some looked right into other buildings but hey it NY. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and efficient. Surprised to have a full fridge and microwave. The elevators are fairly quick. The location is near bus routes and subways. Many venues are within walking distance. My biggest downer is the sales staff. We never get asked to go to a presentation(we have a mark in out paperwork that prevents them from asking). So they shove some papers with recommendations on restaurants and venues to go visit. We noticed in the paperwork they mention a wrist ban to get your discount. So we asked the sales staff. They told us this was just for the Mother's Day weekend. So we went out on our own. When we came back they were giving wrist bands to new people arriving. I talked to the manager of sales Chris and he said he will fix this for us and it shouldn't have happened. Never heard from him again.

Yelp
This is the only place I stay when I come to NYC (which is 7 years now)- and I tend to stay for several weeks. Located near Grand Central Station and the UN, it's a great location for a lot of ideal things to do. 5th ave is near by and there is a FABULOUS pizza joint that will deliver (Paul's Pizza). I've stayed in the 2 and 1 bedroom Presidential. The 2 bedroom always has the BEST view. The resort goes above and beyond every time I've visited. I do come and stay to have surgery at a nearby hospital, so they've made sure I have everything I needed. The resort is ADA friendly upon request. This includes (as needed) a microwave that will electronically move down for those in a wheelchair, shower bars, etc. The resort is equipped with an elevator, so no need to worry about stairs. They also have additional adaptive equipment that they allow guests to use upon request, which is VERY helpful. (Raised toilet seat and shower bench). Jaimie Rodgers is the manager and she is absolutely amazing. She runs a great crew. Many of the staff have been there for years, which says something about the culture. Andy and Elvis are two of the bellhops that have hearts of gold and are very kind and helpful. Look, this is a timeshare- EXPECT for them to hound you regarding going to a meeting. Honestly, I recommend you go, but get them to give you at least $150. Your time is valuable. It takes about 45 minutes, depending. That $150, is at least a meal out or more in NYC. The rooms are always immaculate upon arrival. Keep in mind, room service only happens every 3 days and you need to request it. Most rooms- especially the one and two bedrooms have a full size kitchen. They are stocked with the plates, silverware, cookware, etc. At the end of 45th ave, super close, is a local super market. It's a money saver to get food and cook it there! (Especially if you have kids) Most rooms have a pull out sofa. The site is equipped with a laundry facility, business center for printing, and a workout center. For presidential reserve guests, they go the extra mile with surprises- but I won't spoil that by telling you what it is. Besides, it changes over time. The rooftop lounge with a view of the Chrysler building is fantastic. They have near daily events, most of the time on the roof/lounge. You can find the schedule in the elevator or the front desk. Enjoy your stay.

Yelp
The Club Wyndham Midtown 45 is in a pretty good location, close enough to the subways and not too far from Times Square. It's walkable to any place that you want to go on Manhattan. The rooms are large by NYC standards and they have good coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available around the clock. The outside deck is high enough to get a good view and private enough to relax and enjoy the cityscape.

Yelp
I was in town for a short weekend stay. I didn't check out much of the hotel other than my room. My room was very clean , updated and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints!

Yelp
Two visits over the course of two months as the guest of a Wyndham Platinum member. The first visit was all rainbows and unicorns in a one bedroom Presidential suite on an upper floor. The second visit was not nearly as pleasant in a standard double room on a lower floor. One thing was consistent, on both visits the staff was excellent. The room finishes were similar, but having a separate sitting area and kitchen in the suite was wonderful. Also, being on an upper floor softened the street noise. However the bathroom in the suite was teeny tiny. The beds in the standard hotel room were different and not nearly as comfortable. Very squishy and every time you sat or laid on the bed the mattress would travel and we were constantly pushing it back into place. The location was great just off 3rd Avenue and a couple blocks from Grand Central Station. We found plenty of restaurants we liked in the area and appreciated picking up the 'daily amenity' from the front desk. We also attended the daily event (e.g. champagne hour) when we were around. The rooms were both very clean and although they are not serviced during your stay, you can request replacements/refills of items in your room. The best amenity was the outdoor rooftop lounge on the 33rd floor and we made the most of it bringing our meals up there to eat surrounded by views of the Chrysler Building and the city's skyline. A couple issues... there are only three small elevators and with COVID there are additional delays sharing space. It also appears there is not separate freight/staff elevator so it can get cozy. Also, although we were on the "6th Floor," it appears at least one floor is not present, so you are actually lower than it appears. There is really no place to lounge on the main floor with only a small couch and sofa or other common areas aside from the rooftop deck. You have the initial sales push after you first check-in, but it really wasn't a problem to say no. Looking forward to more visits here in the future, hopefully on the suite level. Overall rating 3-1/2 stars.

Yelp
The hotel (it's a hotel folks, not a 'resort' like them claim) was just okay. Didn't appreciate the maid cart and trash bin in the hallway during our entire stay. Staff were 'just there', but the real disappointment was how hard the concierge pushes you into the timeshare sales pitch (claiming it's not about timeshare sales). Don't do it, no matter what. They will lie, cheat and steel to convince you to go. No matter what, don't put down a 'refundable deposit' for it either. They ran our card through the same day as 'a refundable deposit', then acknowledged it was okay when we cancelled in advance, but they still charged our card and gave bs reasons why. Can you say, 'used car salesman'. For a NYC hotel, it'll do, but it's not a destination resort.

J Z.

Yelp
Great location and one of the many locations that a Wyndham Owner can utilize points to book without any additional cost. First 12 floors are a hotel and floors above are condos. Either side is available via owner points. Could be wrong but Wyndham Rewards opens the hotel only I believe. Via cash either side is open. Come without a car via a train in my opinion. Small walk to Grand Central. Real king bed and for NYC a decent amount of room.

Yelp
Love this Wyndham resort, we have stayed here several times. Walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, Hudson River, Grand Central Station, Restaurants, and entertainment. Rooms are smaller than other resorts but they have a nice kitchen, everything is clean, free laundry room, front desk was AMAZING!! Big shout out to Erika and Jaimie from the front desk, they went above and beyond to help us! Highly recommend this resort

Yelp
This was once one of the best kept secret boutique hotels in Manhattan. I stayed there for about 3 months out of the year, on business, from 2008-2011. It was called The Alex back then and had so many amazing features. The check-in area was understated and there was a beautiful bar serving cocktails on par with Death & Co. The rooms had some amazing custom furniture built into the walls. Clearly I hadn't been back since 2011 (when I moved to Manhattan). Last week I had a mastectomy and was looking for hotel deals as I need an elevator (I live in a walk up). I wouldn't normally stay at a chain but I realized this was previously The Alex and how badly could it have changed? Well, now it is a "timeshare" and not a hotel as listed on Orbitz. Checking in was a nightmare. I had one mastectomy drain visibly hanging out of my button up and after the initial check in (where I was chastised for using a 3rd party app and denied my Orbitz VIP upgrade that was promised) -- I was forced to listen to a timeshare selling lady from Staten Island. All I wanted to do was get in that elevator but no, she wanted to sell a timeshare and give me a wristband. And then tell me about their happy hour schedule which were clearly flyover type activities. But then I got to my room. It was located on the housekeeping floor (floor 7, cancel your room if that's what you're given). It did still have a lot of the custom furniture from the Alex, but none of it had been kept up except some sloppy painting. The plugs in the bed didn't work for charging. It was truly in sad shape. There were some points of amusement. The counterfeit coach umbrella cover that spun in the revolving front door for the entire time I was there. The amount of Vera Bradley luggage I saw in the elevators. The women in the elevator complaining about how they love this place but it is so "far" from Times Square. How the check out time is 10am "BECAUSE THIS IS A TIMESHARE" All in all, a complete waste of money. I reached my 10 year "real New Yorker" status last year and now I understand it the pain.

Yelp
Cool modern entrance and lobby, despite the scaffolding outside at current. We were greeted warmly by the staff upon entry. Maria waited on us and was able to get into our room before 10:30am. The guy at that gave us our welcome packet was super helpful and friendly. The room deluxe worked perfectly for the two of us, it was at the end of the hallway on the 7th floor. The bed was comfy and so big and clean and refreshing for sleep every night we stayed. The bathroom was small but functional. There's a small TV in the bathroom but it seemed to be in the way more than it was useful to me, especially kept me from opening the door all the way open without it jamming into my back as I stood at the sink, it tended to be in the way when getting ready in the mornings. The 33rd floor terrace has great views and the heated tables allow for warmth with the cool evening breeze despite such heights. Allows for some great pics at night time. The gym isn't big but it has everything you could possibly need for a fruitful workout. The front desk reception and resort staff are super friendly, so welcoming and very helpful too. It's been a great visit to NYC and a great stay here in town. The AC unit sounds whisper quiet, as I can only hear it click when it kicks on and that's about it. I want this unit and the big comfy bed in my condo. The shower is a bit of a pain to get the shower head on full blast and the sink faucets make for a wet and sloppy incident every time I use the sink at all. The toilet flush power is intense but works like a well oiled machine, wish we had that at home.

Yelp
I liked it very much. Near the grand central station. Didn't hang out too much in the area. Kept going all over town. Room was super spacious! Loved it. Definitely will come again.

Yelp
Stayed one night with some friends in a Presidential Suite. This was a beautiful two bedroom, two bathroom suite with a full kitchen! Microwave, stove top, toaster, dishwasher and large fridge freezer! The couch pulled out to a really comfortable bed- I cannot say enough how comfortable it was, and I slept so well! The owners lounge is a really nice roof top space where you can enjoy your own beverages and the beautiful skies of the city. This is a great location! Lots of parking garages around. Plenty of food places close by. Staff super friendly and checked to make sure we had everything. Overall we were very happy with our stay!

Yelp
Honestly this place is beautiful got a nice 1 bedroom room and 3 TVs kitchen the couch was a pullout. The sales staff kind of sold me on the breakfast and gift at 9 am. But I couldn't do it because when I arrived you have to bring your wife and we had a child with us. So tried to postpone. Not sure why they were supposed to be just telling me about stuff that comes with it. I did leave a deposit of 20 and they took that. My loss. And I rescheduled to Monday but that was after the wedding and I was too exhausted to handle it and feeling sick at the repeated reminder calls. -1 Star Yup annoying. Anyway. Look at the pictures it is really nice. The elevator is really slow. And it's odd with security. Feel like you can just walk in and press any number to elevators. The doors are triple bolted so I guess that's good. -1 Star Oh yeah rooftop deck is nice but didn't get to use it much. I did accidentally go up for a Wyndham event. Got shutdown if you do that. Felt like us wasn't good enough lol. -1 Star It was a nice place thought you can keep an extra star for that.

Riana D.

Yelp
Ibo - is the best! ( we hope we are spelling this correct)- thank you for helping us find a cab in the 3 am to head to the Airport. Above and beyond what we could have asked for. Thank you!!! We hope to see you next time.

Sonya M.

Yelp
Great location! Clean and comfortable accommodations. You can walk to many Places Times Square, Central Park, the shopping on 5th Ave., Rockefeller Center, all easy access. No need to run a car. You may need an Uber for boat, Brooklyn Bridge or 9/11 memorial.

Felicia T.

Yelp
Went to the two-hour upsale meeting and was told I would receive $150 reward. Didn't reveive the customary gift cards, but was told to redeem the rewards using a link that I never received. I contacted Wyndham, Wyndham Midtown 45, and two separate marketing departments. Buying this timeshare was one of the worst mistakes I've ever made with my money.

Yelp
Let me say this, just about everything that could go wrong, went wrong on this stay. We were booked in a 2 bedroom presidential suite on the 30th floor. Room itself is decent. It's not large, it's what one should expect in Manhattan. Stocked small kitchen area, good refrigerator, it's good. Bathrooms are nice, Second bedroom is small, but the kids are young, they can manage. Good view of the Chrysler Building as well. Upon our arrival, the room was not ready at around 6pm, but we were willing to wait. We were then informed that the rooms were experiencing some issues with the air conditioning. When you enter the room, you felt the heat. The air was blowing, but not cooling. However, eventually the bedrooms cooled down to 72 degrees per the thermostat, but the living area never got lower than 80. It was manageable at night, but the moment the sun began to rise, you want out of the room to get relief. Also, the elevators stopped working the next morning. So down 30 flights of stairs, with 2 kids and carrying a stroller, no fun. There were issues with the television and most channels responding weak signal. The only saving grace was that "the marketing" team learned our stay was going so bad they didn't pester us over and over about an update. The guy was trying to set us up with the, "How's your stay" and as I began to share you could see his mind going, "I'll let this one pass". I give 2 stars because the staff was really trying. Offering extra waters or a bottle of wine. Very apologetic, but this one was like something in a comedy. Like if a pipe had burst, it would have been like, "Yep, that's about right".

Dazjanae J.

Yelp
Stayed in the 3 bedroom presidential. I do like the industrial them of the property. I will say this wasn't one of my favorite wyndham properties but it wasn't bad, it was just okay. As expected anytime you stay in a downtown property, parking does usually cost so be prepared to pay $30 a night (I believe). We were in the presidential suite that is directly beneath the swimming pool so during the late hours of the night, we could hear noises that sounded like a pool filter or cleaning system, not quite sure what it was but it was very loud for atleast an hour around 3-4am and woke me out of my sleep. They do have waffles for breakfast in the owners suite some mornings near the rooftop pool that overlooks a portion of 6th street. This location is close to a lot of things and right down the street from the Capitol as well. I'd also like to add that there is very friendly staff here. Our room had 2 balconies with standard table and chairs.

Yelp
Great service, clean rooms , polite staff and friendly. Despite a breakdown with one elevator staff was responsive and apologetic. Bellhops we're great especially Andy ! Thanks for a very nice stay !!

Yelp
Stay elsewhere if possible. Especially if you are an RCI or Wyndham owner, stay elsewhere. My boyfriend was given a King guest room on the hotel side even though he reserved a suite. The furniture and room seemed outdated, especially after going on a tour of the suites available for Wyndham owners. The water pressure was minimal... I was left with quite a bit of conditioner in my thick curly hair which clumped together. I couldn't wash it out until I got home The staff was friendly even when they were not trying to sell you tickets or property. The tickets might be worth it but not buying into Wyndam properties. If you have the patience and time, you could sit through a presentation but in the end I would be leery about signing with them.

Yelp
Great location and great staff. Minor issues with the room, which was a studio. No garbage can in the room, no ice maker on the floor or directions of where to take trash. Towels are like sandpaper, which is very abnormal for a Wyndham property. The bed was sort comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet. We'd definitely go here again when visiting nyc. For those concerned about the timeshare tactics, firmly say "no" and unplug the phone in your room. You don't have to listen to them or go to the breakfast.

Yelp
THE WORST experience at check-in of my entire life of traveling! Wyndham reservation computer was messed up. I provided every possible bit of information but they couldn't let us check in because their rules were mor important than service. Finally agreed to "help" by letting us pay for our room again! More than 90 min after arrival we had a room key and were told to bring our possessions to the desk in the morning since this was a one night fix. We said "no way" and were told they would just inactivate our key cards if Wyndham couldn't fix our reservation. Unbelievable! Welcome to New York!

Yelp
The Club Wyndham Midtown 45 is very clean and would recommend on that bases. Be prepared for a host of unrelenting sales calls. They will wake you out of your sleep and will not take no as a response. I only spent three nights here and received over five calls from the Hospitality/Sales team and told them I was not interested in buying. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. They keep insisting on putting me on a do no sell list. Which I'm opposed to, as I intend on buy more points at other Wyndham properties.

Yelp
We are Wyndham Vacation Resort owners and decided to check out this location for a mini-vacation just a hop, skip and a jump from home. Location has been recently renovated, limited beverage center in lobby, ice maker on 3rd floor but generally no ice buckets in all rooms so you may need to ask for one. Staff was very nice and attentive. We were a last minute reservation and scooped up one of the last available rooms who's was the basic hotel type room with a king sized bed. Even though you have your own individual climate control in the room it's basically an ineffective wall ornament. We like a cooler temp for sleeping and tried to set the unit to auto cool 67 degrees but that did nothing to budge the room temperature from the middle 70's. Shower water pressure was excellent and for those looking to fill that tub to soak and relax you have a TV w/remote in the bathroom for your bubble bath viewing pleasure. Water temp on hot gets very hot so beware. The rooftop 33rd Floor has both an indoor and outdoor lounge area to relax and socialize with other guests. Beautiful views of the city, especially in the evening.

Yelp
I had to listen to a presentation for more than 1 hour and they tried to sell you a timeshare for 30K with 10K down payment $400 monthly payment and almost $100 maintenance fee. You can't cancel the timeshare after 1 week and they respond back to you in a week. They lied left and right. Beware: They will try to get people from Auto show and other events. Nothing is free and too good to be true. Advise: Don't give them your credit card or SS #, DON'T SIGN ANYTHING and tell them you have a low income, they will just ignore you and sign you off.

Yelp
Not bad, not great especially if you're in one of the few "Hotel" rooms. Apparently most of Hotel has converted to suites which we didn't try. Perhaps if we had this review might be higher. Room had a view of the plumbing between buildings. In retrospect, this may not be bad considering it was quieter than rooms facing the street. It's about a 6 minute walk to Grand Central and down the street from the East River and UN. The room was clean and efficiently appointed. Try it if you are able to get a good deal.

Yelp
Wow, great location, great rooftop Lounge, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. It is a timeshare, so if you can dodge the welcome meetings and membership phone calls, then you're sitting pretty when you stay here. It's literally a block and a half from Grand Central Station and there are late night places open well past 1 AM. Also nearby are some great Chinese restaurants just a couple of blocks north - this location has it all. I really enjoy staying here when I visit the city. It's less than a mile walk to Midtown and Times Square, yet it's far enough away where you don't feel like you're being surrounded by tourism. Four stars for Wyndham Midtown 45.

Yelp
Close to Grand Central Station. Close to fast food, casual and nicer restaurants. Hotel was clean. Did not like the hard sell from the staff. We booked on a third party and didn't realize. (which I admit is my fault) Basically they were trying very hard to sell us timeshares. After check-in you are unable to get to the elevator without going through the salespeople. It's a narrow hallway. High pressure tactics. Basically told us we owed it to them to make an appointment for their sales meeting because we were getting such a deal on the hotel room. (not sure it was such a great deal but anyway) Oh and you have to put a $40 deposit down to attend the meeting. We eventually put our foot down and said no and went to the elevator. They were rude once they knew we were not biting. (And we were being very polite). But now every time we had to leave or come back we had to pass these people. Very uncomfortable. Don't recommend

Yelp
Very clean location and staff is very helpful and friendly. Many thanks to Elvis who greeted us first thing at the door and helped with baggage. Rooms are very spacious for NYC. Did not feel cramped with four people in our one bedroom room. Pull out sofa bed was comfortable, although we did find one spot you should not sit on near the foot of the bed. Felt like we might fall through. If you are a Wyndham or REI Property owner I recommend this location. Close to Times Square and major subway lines at grand central station.

Yelp
OLD OLD OLD OLD hotel.... lobby is less than 100 sf. Only a bench and one tiny sofa. 3 elevators. So no wait time. We stayed in a suite. It seems like everything is in "small size"?? The couch is tiny. The desk is tiny (the width is just like the length of the telephone). This hotel is not part of Wyndham's chain. Wyndham bought this hotel and manage it. The standard is soooo much different. This hotel is way over priced!! We felt like ripped off.... :( The ONLY good thing about this hotel, 2 blocks away from Grand Central Station. That is the reason we pick this hotel because we take train to visit our family almost everyday of our trip. Can be walking distance to Time Square..... but it is not fun walking blocks & blocks in 30 degrees weather.

Yelp
I have stayed here a few times and this place is simply amazing . The rooms are beautiful and it's conveniently located within walking distance of a lot of things . Grand Central station , time square, MOMA and other things you may enjoy. If you get a chance to stay at this place you will enjoy the comfortable rooms and the convenience of so many things .

Yelp
No STARS Was Lured to Wyndham 45 so they could show us all about their vacation club , after saying no to joining we were given NO ACCESS CODE to redeem our free vacation and they refused to correct their ERROR Pls DONT waste your time with Wyndham Marriott is BETTER!

Yelp
I am so tired of the aggressive, manipulative and intrusive sales tactics. I feel harassed. Wyndham must be getting desperate when it feels like you are running a Cabo San Lucas gauntlet every time you enter or leave the hotel. I have such a visceral reaction now which negatively affects my visits. There is a cleanliness standard met, maintenance was prompt and respectful and the bed comfortable but the sales team is putting me completely off. They do not take no for an answer. I arrive tired and just want to get to my room and take a nap before dinner and show. I am accosted trying to get to the elevator and told that because I am a VIP member they would really like my feedback and would I give them a one on one interview. I interpret this as a way to get me to a sales presentation and decline. Then told I need a bracelet to get 10% off certain restaurants etc. I say I don't care about discounts and just want to get to my room. The woman made a point of taking the discount sheet out of my folder. So much for treating me like a VIP . I try to take a nap but am woken up by a call. So I unplug the phone. Next day as I return a more senior sales person is at the elevator and notices I don't have a bracelet. She says I have to have one to move around the property. I explain what happens and she apologizes but then wastes more of my time as she looks up my membership status. Is she also responsible for security or is this how they track that everyone has been harassed to get them to attend a sales presentation? After more time wasted she realizes I've already checked in. I tell her I'm interested in selling my timeshare not in being upsold. She persuades me to take a meeting the next morning so they can tell me about how to rent to cover my maintenance fees. Positions as doing me a favor and offering me a small reward. In a moment of tiredness I agree. Back in my room I realize I can look that information up online and recall how long it takes to get sales folk off their selling. So I reply to my sales presentation confirmation that I am cancelling. Next day I leave early (now I'm just trying to avoid any interaction) but as expected upon return am asked what happened. I reply that nothing happened, that I had emailed back and cancelled. Do you want to schedule for tomorrow? No! Did something happen? I just turned and walked into the elevator. I am so sick of this. Surely I should be able to request that no one from sales talk to me!

Yelp
If Wyndham Club is attempting to sell memberships off staying at this hotel they are making a mistake. I'm a 4 year member and this hotel is a complete disaster. If you want to revisit a college dorm room this hotels for you. No service, no amenities, broken elevators, a couple of rude staff. Not all, but a couple is all it takes. Take my advice stay at a different hotel. This is barely a two to three star. Unbelievably disappointed. What's even worse they tried to upsell me on my membership.

Yelp
Checked in, needed sleep and there were men working very loudly right outside of my window. My lack of sleep turned into a migraine headache and no one in management offered any assistance. It was their workmen!! No one told me about this when I made a reservation, you would think they wouldn't put their clients in such a noisy room that shook from all the work going on! Never again too many nicer, quieter hotels in Manhattan!!

Yelp
Nice room, it's NYC so a little small, but still nice. 24 hour self service laundry and gym, nice. There are three elevators and only one was working for our three day stay, it took forever standing there waiting on the one elevator. But the absolute worst part about this place is the pushy timeshare salespeople who accost you just after you check in (they call it your "welcome" package... yeah a really nice welcome - LOL. The simply won't take NO for an answer and they're extremely hard to walk away from... since the slow moving elevator is next to them. OMG

Yelp
Very comfortable room with everything you could need and a stove! Clean room, the shower in the one bathroom was broken but it had a tub, the other stand up shower worked great, furniture looked clean and modern. Staff are super nice and attentive! This place is so close to everything and anything the view was cool the city at night is bustling with people and lights which I loved to see. Will be back great room.

Yelp
First, the positives: great location in Midtown Manhattan, walkable to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal and tons of shops and restaurants. All the staff I encountered were very nice. Well, except for the timeshare sales staff. They probably would have been nice too if I had bought into their Wyndham points system. Now the bad. On at least three separate days during our 9 day stay we had no water. On one occasion we were warned in advance. On the other two, no warning at all. My husband was in the bath one time. I know this is New York, but still. The staff did make water available in the lobby. Secondly, our room door has huge gaps so that it doesn't meet the frame letting hallway light in all night. Had to put pillows in front of it. The air conditioning vent grate faces the wrong way, which is not a problem as long as you want to air condition the curtains and not the room. They have 3 elevators. One is out of service been repaired. They try to fool you into thinking it's only for 2 days but they just keep changing the sign 2 days at a time. Then they hold one of the remaining 2 elevators for the Workman to use much of the time. Thankfully I am only on the 6th floor and can walk down. After housekeeping came to service the room one of my phone charging cords went missing. Not saying that she did it, but it is nowhere to be found. Again, all staff were nice and none of that was their fault.

Yelp
Just awful, not because of the hotel, but because of the high pressure timeshare sales tactics, which are beyond anything I've ever seen. Conversing with another family who was staying there, they mentioned that their relative owns a unit, and the timeshare sales staff insisted on getting the phone number of the guests, only so that they could call them repeatedly. They even came by the room a few times, knocking on the door "checking in" to sell us. It's absurd. Had I known this was a timeshare hotel, I would have never stepped foot in this place. It is harassment what they do here. Really ruined and soured our stay. Even as I write this, I'm angered.

Yelp
Horrible place. The sales staff are like vultures constantly at you trying to sell timeshare. We came as a family of 4 and the hotel alone ruined our trip! No room clean for 4 days! Had to ask for rubbish to be taken away and ask for toilet roll. Only good thing I have to say about this place is the concierge staff. Super helpful and friendly. Alberto completely helped us out when our shuttle to the airport let us down massively (Go Airlink NYC) he's a true gent who genially cared about helping us out.
