Fantastic experience! I got the seafood bowl with lobster, mussels and prawns. We also got rice on the side. The sauce was delicious and we all got away with about 28 euros per person. Amazing staff. The restaurant is down a nice passage, without too many people. They gave us a shot of cherry liquor on the house after we finished eating. Great beer. Big recommendation.

The English language skills of most of the waiters were not very good, to the point that we ordered one appetizer but something else was brought by mistake. The dishes were very ordinary and average. As an advisor, I do not recommend this place.

I was a bit suspicious of this place at first because they had staff advertising the restaurant on the street which I usually see as a red flag. However, the food was really great and amazing value! The drinks were also really cheap during happy hour and pretty strong to be honest. My friend ordered the fish with cream and it was AMAZING I would highly recommend that. I don’t remember what the rest of us got but it was all pretty good.

The reviews are way too generous. So, to start with, all of the red flags are here. The menus are in five languages with pictures. Waiters stand outside to persuade people to come in. The food and the pictures are pretty similar. I ordered the octopus and it was a decent portion simply cooked. It was OK but the plating was poor and the sides lacked any kind of finesse. If you look around the corner, there is a restaurant called Porter that is nice. I wouldn’t travel to eat here. It was OK and a bit better than some tourist traps but it is that kind of restaurant. No, it wasn’t my choice to go here. Later on, unfortunately, I was ill.

I'm writing this review as a thank-you to this restaurant for making my experience in Lisbon so nice, especially to the staff Sajib, who was very friendly. In the beginning I wasn't sure what to eat, so he patiently explained the dishes to me by introducing ingredients and cooking methods. I ordered cod grilled rice and liked the cheesy taste very much. They gave me a free small octopus salad as a surprise, because I thought about ordering this one earlier. The experience was so nice that I decided to come back for dinner the next day. I chose Cataplana de Marisco (seafood cataplana), as recommended by Sajib. The menu wrote it was for 2 people, but they were happy to do a 1-person portion for me at half price. It was freshly made, with a generous amount of seafood, and sooo delicious! I ate all the rice with the soup. If you want some peace and quiet while eating, it's a good idea to pop in there at 6-8pm as they're not so busy and you can be served quickly and nicely.

With such a high rating we had to go check it out. Unfortunately we couldn’t get past the starters because the quality was definitely not as we read. We ordered bacalhau croquettes and shrimps in garlic, olives and some bread. The bacalhau croquettes are rather tasteless. They are more potatoes than fish. The shrimps, we had to send them back. They are chewy and are not deveined. Which is most horrible. They were so black on the inside we had to send them back. They did take the order back, and gave us a new portion with deveined shrimps. But the damage was done. It was also not that tasty. For us this was a bad experience, the quality was disappointing. Yes, the staff is great, but the food, we can’t recommend.

So far the best restaurant in Lisbon we ate at. We didn't have to wait for a table, we were served immediately. We also really liked the fish and seafood dishes. The drinks and a la carte menu are also very good. It was a nice time a bit away from the noise of the main city streets. The prices for such an experience are really very good.

Food is so good and the service is even better. 10/10 vibes and the ladies working here are so helpful. 10/10 will recommend

We've been in Portugal for 2 weeks and this was our first bad restaurant experience. We arrived at happy hour. The waiter brought port tonics, which were fairly weak, but still cool and refreshing on a hot day. We told him several times we didn't want food, but he brought a standard "couvert" (bread, oil, olives) anyway, plus some small cod fritters. We nibbled at it out of politeness. When it came time for the bill, he first brought the wrong one (a much higher tab) and then when he brought ours, said they only took cash -- something he hadn't mentioned before (and I can't imagine that policy is true for the €25 entrees.) Fine. We paid in cash for our drinks and the snacks, which were unusually pricey -- €1 each, totaling nearly €5 for a few bites. He brought our change and then tried to make a joke out of asking if we wanted it, as if we might leave it all for him! Unbelievably rude, and again, not at all what we've experienced here. If you're passing by, try the place next door -- that was our first choice, but the tables were all full. We should have waited.

Avoid this place, please avoid it! On the terrace, you get a hint of urine every time the wind blows - this is just to set the scene. We ordered wine and water and then they came with a starter (that we did not order and no surprise... it wasn't on the house - so we politely refused it). Then, came the main course: 'Lambo de Bacalhau com Broa' - the fish was undercooked... the only thing 'tasty' from that dish were the potatoes (and even those needed a pinch of salt). They only accept card payments btw - and if you ask for card they point you to the ATM. Food was ridiculously overpriced! And the staff had a 'no f#$s give attitude'

Our first Restaurant in Portugal. Anna made recommendations and every one was great, Muito bem! The best was the Bacalhau Especial. That was beyond good. Great wine and she even made a martini for my brother just the way he liked. We also had the sausage and cheese sampler and some other dishes.
