⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Montana Gem My husband and I stayed at Clydesdale Outpost for our birthday, and it was outstanding from start to finish. The cabins are beautiful, spotless, and stocked with everything you need. The property is stunning, with tranquil Clydesdale horses right outside your door and incredible views in every direction. The cedar hot tubs are the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. The staff are friendly, go above and beyond, and even left us handwritten birthday notes in our room. It’s a short drive to downtown Whitefish and makes an ideal base for visiting Glacier National Park. A perfect combination of comfort, scenery, and service—highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the Clydesdale Outpost! The house was clean, cozy and had all the amenities you would want while away from home including a hot tub on the deck! The store was stocked full of snacks, drinks and essentials that you might need while staying there. We were also able to go on a trail ride, which was pretty cool! Located just outside of Whitefish so you're close to downtown, shopping and restaurants but, you get to experience the Montana countryside. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Clydesdale Outpost did not disappoint in any way! It was truly an amazing experience. I will never forget the beauty as our family hung out in the hot tub or eating our charcuterie on the back deck. It was wonderfully peaceful and the beautiful horses came trotting by. Meanwhile the bald eagles were hanging out amidst the beautiful landscape in the background. To be able to be up close and learn about these truly gentle giants was unforgettable. The cabins themselves are incredible and in the top 2 favorite places our traveling family of 4 has ever stayed! Tip: we scheduled our carriage ride for about 15 min after we arrived and it was the perfect way to get acquainted with the property - would highly recommend that, especially over doing it later in your stay (we had one person not old enough to ride, otherwise we would have done that!)

In June, I traveled to Glacier National Park with a friend and her 7 yr old daughter and had a lovely stay at the Clydesdale Outpost Guest Ranch. The horses run freely and we got to see them in the fenced field behind our cabin. The cabin had its own parking spot, and had all amenities you could need for a short stay. We made s'mores one night and relaxed, listening to records and playing games another night. The Ranch is about a 45 min to 1 hr drive to Glacier National Park with plenty of restaurants on the way. Staff caring for the horses and at the small shop were incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back for a longer stay!

My wife and I had the most amazing time at the Clydesdale Outpost — it completely exceeded our expectations and made our Montana trip unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peace, beauty, and thoughtfulness poured into every detail of the ranch. The cabin was clean, cozy, and beautifully designed with a rustic modern charm. Waking up to views of the open fields, majestic Clydesdale horses, and mountain backdrop felt like something out of a dream. Every morning felt serene, and every evening peaceful. A special thank you to Casey, who made our stay incredibly smooth and pleasant — we truly appreciated her kindness and warmth throughout. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ben, who was equally welcoming, friendly, and polite. They both added to the charm of the entire experience. The ranch itself is well maintained — we loved watching the horses, exploring the area, and just soaking in the quiet. It was the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. We were honestly sad to leave — this has been one of the best trips we’ve ever taken. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and memorable place to stay near Glacier National Park, this is it. We’re already thinking about when we can come back.

We traveled from Oklahoma to stay at the Clydesdale Outpost and ride the Clydesdales. We were not disappointed. The “Stillwater cabin” had a stunning view from the deck and very cozy. The horses are world class animals maintained and cared for by people who know what they are doing. Our stay has been the highlight of or trip so far. Thank you for the hospitality.

Peaceful, beautiful, semi-secluded property. The pretty cabins look rustic, but have modern amenities such as a small, well-equipped kitchen that includes a tiny dishwasher! We loved the gas stove in the living room and used it the whole time we were there; very charming. Enjoyed not having a TV as well. There is Wifi, though, as well as board games and a record player with records! Could have used an extra bathroom with 4 people. There is only one, but it's beautiful with a large shower and 2 sinks. The upstairs bedroom is more spacious than the downstairs bedroom and includes a nice closet. There is no closet in the downstairs bedroom, which was a little inconvenient. Our family enjoyed the hot tub on the deck every day. We also used the BBQ a couple of times. The deck is great with beautiful views and adds additional living space. The best part of the ranch is, of course, access to the gorgeous Clydesdales! One night when we came back to our cabin, there were 14 of them right off our deck! Just the most beautiful sight! We took walks around the property after dinner, and the horses came right up to the fence to visit! Truly magnificent animals. I highly recommend this property! The customer service was outstanding. The welcome center sells adorable merchandise, as well as some essentials. Thank you, Clydesdale Outpost, for a very memorable stay!!

My family and I rented two cabins at the guest ranch last week. We were blown away by how beautiful the location was. The service at the front desk was amazing, and the workers who hosted the wagon ride were awesome! We took nightly walks, lounged in the spas overlooking the Clydesdale fields, and enjoyed all the outpost had to offer. Hope to return one day!

Yelp
I wanted to share my experience at the Clydesdale Outpost this past summer. This was a bucket list thing for my granddaughter Q. My daughter and I had promised Q she could do a trail ride as her 12th birthday gift as twelve is the minimum age to ride the Clydesdales. She has been waiting to be old enough for a couple years. This was a highly anticipated experience for all of us. If you don't know horses or have never been around a Clydesdale, they are magnificent animals. Similar to our Great Danes, Clydesdales are also gentle giants. Check-in was easy and we were able to use credit cards for payment, sign the necessary waivers, and get some information from the small shop on the property. There were lots of gift items, books, snacks, and tchotchkes to browse. Once done there we headed to the barn to meet our guide and most importantly those beautiful Clydesdale horses. Our guide for the day Kamber was knowledgeable, gracious, and offered to take photos so we could concentrate on our ride as distractions could interfere with rider and horse safety. She selected horses specifically for us. Those selections were based on rider ability, both rider and horse temperament, and experience of the rider. Kamber assisted in getting a proper helmet fit for all of us and provided a great safety talk. She also went over thorough instructions especially so that my granddaughter understood as she has only ridden once before this. I was raised around horses, took equestrian classes in college, and have ridden throughout the years, but these horses are not the same as riding a regular sized horse. Even I needed to hear some important information. I practically did the splits getting onto my horse because they are so wide in comparison to a non-draft horse. My granddaughter Q and daughter got the sweetest, most easy-going horses. Nothing was hard, their safety and security was priority number one, and Q enjoyed this experience, which was the entire point. My horse was a little more stubborn but having experience I knew how to handle a stubborn horse that wants to eat along the trail and is not supposed to do so. Having Kamber take photos allowed us to enjoy the scenery around the Outpost property and she was able to point out interesting things along the way. We also spent time in the barn before and after our ride taking our own photos and getting to know all the horses. The juvenile horse were our favorites. My daughter and I had lots of questions and each one was met with an answer by Kamber. I had not brought cash to tip our guide but I was able to use a banking app as the barn had Wi-Fi. Thank goodness for technology and that was an able option. Q wants to come back and do this again and I don't blame her. I would highly recommend booking a trail ride at Clydesdale Outpost and don't forget to ask for Kamber. PS We loved it so much I told my son who took his girlfriend the following week.

Yelp
Total ripoff $275 for a 20 minute carriage ride And don't get out to take photos. Horses are beautiful and we could walk around after the ride, but all in all a poor value.

Yelp
My financé and I are on the last day of a 4 day summer vacation at the Clydesdale Outpost. Words can not describe how beautiful our experience was. When we turned onto the road for the first time our mouths dropped. It was like stepping into a Remington painting. If it weren't for the extraordinary staff (Kacey in particular) greeting and guiding you, one might mistake it for a mirage We were immediately taken to the barn to meet the female horses. They came over to greet us and let us pet them. They were so majestic we fell in love instantly. We visited with them every day and felt the healing power of these gorgeous animals. The cabins are exquisitely designed, the first thing we saw was a beautiful welcome box with a note and tons of local treats and even an s'mores kit for the fire pit out back! Every detail purposeful and elegant. A sparkling clean kitchen, extremely comfortable beds, a beautiful bathroom, hot tub. Everything you could ask for. A record player with a stack of records to choose from. If you think we didn't cook a meal and dance in the kitchen to Nat King Cole you would be mistaken because, oh ya, there's a FULL KITCHEN with everything you could need. We settled in on the first night, sat on the back porch and watched God paint the most spectacular sunset we've ever seen. Just as the light was becoming a faint memory on the horizon a deer came walking right in front of us. I ran in to get my phone to take a picture and noticed a set of Binoculars on the bookshelf. They were perfect for getting a closer look. It's those kinds of details that make this place so special. Each day was better than the one before. The proximity to downtown White Fish, Glacier National Park, every adventure you could imagine is right there for the taking. We rode the horses, rode the complimentary bikes throughout the property, explored the national park and soaked up every minute of every day. I could not recommend this place more. It's romantic, charming, and family friendly on top of it all. We plan to return many times. Thank you to the owners and the staff for this magical experience. Not to forget the adorable friends we met...Ella and Fitz the dogs, and Puck the cat made the whole experience even better.

Yelp
What an amazing experience/stay!!! The property, the Clydesdales, the cabins... all of it! The owners and the staff are so nice, the Clydesdales are like giant puppies just wanting scratches and cuddles! We were able to ride them on a nice winter day. We soaked in an amazing cedar hot tub with such beautiful Montana views. The two bedroom cabin was perfect for the four of us on our stay and the kitchens were perfect that we had plenty of supplies and cooked breakfast and other meals in our cabin. This place is gorgeous and I will truly cherish the memories/photos/videos... I can't wait to come back here! I have been recommending this place to everyone since our visit! Thank you Clydesdale Outpost!!

Yelp
The Clydesdale Outpost lived up to my great expectations. The property was beautiful and the horses were gorgeous. The cabin was rustic modern and immaculate. It was a pleasure to soak in the private hot tub at the end of the day. The horse caretakers, Alec and Kambr, were a delight to work with. Their humor and love for the horses shone bright. We will be back!

Yelp
This place was amazing The cabins/houses were immaculate and well decorated, the service was amazing and the views were incredible. We would come back here in a heartbeat. we didn't have a chance to ride the horses so we are saving that for next time:)

Yelp
We had the most incredible time staying at The Clydesdale Outpost last week while celebrating our grandson's 2nd birthday! The cabins were very cozy, beds were extremely comfortable and the entire cabin was super clean. Loved the decor and extra touches that they have like the special scent they created for the Clydsedale Outpost that is in every cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed soaking in the cedar hot tub and the breathtaking views all around. The owners, Matt and Ben, are wonderful and have done an amazing job! The staff were all very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. The beautiful Clydesdales are such sweet gentle giants. We even went for a sleigh ride around the property which was a special treat. We will definitely be back to make more priceless memories with the family!
