Google
Was feeling under the weather and looking for some soupy food in the area. Chanced upon this Vietnamese eatery and ordered “Bun Bo Hue”. Really tasty and hearty. Felt better after the meal and thought I should leave a positive review.

Google
Great food, Bánh mì and Phở are pretty authentic taste. Bún bò nam bộ and Bún chả are good also. The owner is very lovely and friendly. This is a must-come place when in Berlin!!!

Masha

Google
Such a lovely authentic kitchen! The Bún Chả Nướng was fantastic — tender marinated pork with a rich, fragrant broth just at the bottom, giving the whole dish incredible flavor. The mix of fresh herbs made it truly magical. Highly recommend!

Google
I got the BBQ pork banh mi. The pork was a bit dry, but otherwise it isn’t a bad banh mi place for Berlin.

Google
Service was really quick, however returning to the store and having my order screamed at me after rso on a monday was very intense. Lemongrass was missing in the lemongrass tofu banh mi, bread was not crispy, became soggy quicky and fell apart due to the moisture from the fillings. The sandwich was very bland. Put me in a bad mood for the next few hours.

Google
I came here 4 times over 2 weeks, and my favorite item is the bahn mi, which is made with gluten free bread. I havent eaten bahn mi in years because good gluten free baguettes are so hard to find so this was truly a delight. The bread itself is excellent and doesn't taste gluten free, and it doesn't have the crumbly or gummy texture that GF breads can have. The filling is excellent, as well. I also ate the bun vermicelli rice bowl and was really pleased with the taste and size of the bowl. The only item I wasn't impressed with was the chicken rice dish. The chicken was over salted workout any other distinguishing flavor. But every other menu item I had was a hit!

Google
Good banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) in authentic asian style. Very affordable price with great taste. Menu with small soup and sandwich was perfect!

Nhung Bui

Google
We ordered 3 kinds of banh mi and they are classical, Xi muoi and Tuna. All of them are delicious and tasty. I like the lemon juice here, it is made from the special recipe by Vietnamese. They use the lemons which are kept in glass bottles (you can see them displayed on the wall shelves) to make the lemon juice. It will be sour, sweet and cool after eating banh mi. That’s best match! Good choice to try!

Yelp
Listen, you don't know what you're missing out on if you frequent the area around Rosenthaler Platz and never think about venturing into this Vietnamese restaurant. You already pay such an obscene amount of money at St. Oberholz right across the street. Why wouldn't you want to splurge by throwing down a few more coins for one of the best bánh mì in Berlin? I regularly buy two of the chicken bánh mì at once whenever I stop by on a weekend afternoon--they're just that good. And at €5 per sandwich--filling, clean, healthy, and oh so delicious with the perfect ratio of pâté to topping to meat to bread--what more could you ask for? If you're dining in, you can't go wrong with either of your two options: sitting inside or at a picnic table in the courtyard. Oh, and since this is Berlin, where public bathrooms are a rarity, I'll share one of my secrets with you... Cô Cô Bánh Mì Deli is also home to one of the cleanest public bathrooms in Mitte. Don't tell anyone else, all right?

Yelp
Ive ate the bang mi pork and some spring rolls. Overall it has good flavor but I don't like the cut of the pork and the fact that the pork is cold. It's also a little weird seeing the bread in bags and just being microwaved. The spring rolls were very cold as well. Overall it's a pretty decent sandwhich which I do enjoy but it could be much better in my opinion .

Yelp
The Banh Mi was surprisingly good! There were plenty of veggies (personal preference) and the bun was toasted just the right amount. I like this place, and I would come back if I'm really, really craving a Banh Mi (only because the price is a bit steep here and I'm too cheap). Pro-tip: The Yelp check-in offer is no longer valid, but they gave me 10% off for the miscommunication on their end.

Yelp
Vietnamese restaurant with delicious bánh mì. The interior is luminous and really cosy. Moreover, the service is fast and the food is very nourishing and of quality, for a very reasonable price.

Yelp
Probably the best bahn mi around but lacking in some areas. I had the coco bahn mi, which was pretty good. It had fresh veggies and good meat but it didn't have enough sauce so it felt slightly dry. They also didn't have sauce around to put on the sandwiches separately. My friend ordered the lemongrass meatball sandwich and some of the meatballs were undercooked!!! AND her bread was burnt!!! She saw them scraping off the burnt part on other rolls of bread. Two of my friends ordered the ginger ale which was kind of wack. It was just carbonated sugar water with some raw ginger slices in there. Once again, I'll make that for you. Skip it here. All in all, I'll go back when I'm craving bahn mi but I think I've had better!
google avatar

Jeff Z.

Yelp
A solid sandwich and a good deal compared to restaurants around it. The baguette was spot on but the pate was sweet and it was topping heavy (carrots, large chunks of tomato and a big ole wedge of cucumber), which squashed the other flavors.

Yelp
I would call myself a banh mi fanatic. It is one of my favorite sandwiches and I used to indulge quite frequently when I lived in the USA in an area with a high concentration of Vietnamese communities. This wasn't the best banh mi I've ever had but it was quite tasty and the prices weren't bad. I had the chicken banh mi and my husband ordered the special. We got our sandwiches quickly and enjoyed watching the friendly man behind the counter assemble them. They do Germanize the sandwiches a bit by adding things like tomato and onion but all of the banh mi essentials like pickled veggies & cilantro were there. I was really missing slices of fresh jalapeño though! But I suppose that's what I get for moving to Germany. The sandwiches were pretty large and had a lot of meat. I'm not sure if the baguettes were homemade? I would guess not; from what I've read it is fairly difficult and time consuming to make the baguettes properly. We also both ordered glasses of hot Vietnamese coffee - the perfect companion to any banh mi sandwich, in my opinion. The coffee was fine but I was a little disappointed that it wasn't served with the filter on top of the glass. There's just something special about watching the coffee drip and waiting until it finishes to enjoy your delicious drink! Overall, I had a lovely meal that satisfied my banh mi craving. I will definitely be going back! P.S. I accidentally left my cell phone on the picnic table and one of the women from the shop ran after us to return it to me - I was beyond thankful!! For that reason alone I feel like I owe them many return trips. :)

Yelp
One of the most stylish and inviting banh mi shops I've ever visited anywhere. Lots of counter height seating; filled with fresh flowers, cute little potted plants; attractively displayed jars of pickled veggies and baskets of fresh fruit. It is a visually beautiful place. What I think is very good here: the vietnamese coffee is brewed strong and with a generous amount of condensed milk. Just the way I like it and presented prettily with a clear glass and wooden saucer. Although I think a bit pricey for Berlin at 2.70 EU for a very small cup. Still worth it in my opinion. If you don't like sweet coffee, you might still like this because it's not the same taste as just sugared up coffee. The banh mi itself was a tad disappointing for me. Here's why: the bread doesn't have enough crust, the use of tomato as a garnish really watered down the taste of the pickled vegetables (which is one of my favourite flavours in banh mi!), and the fresh green chillies were missing. It's still a very tasty sandwich and I would eat here again. But I recommend asking them to hold the tomato and only use pickled veg in the sandwich.

Yelp
The customer service here is amazing and the decor is super cute. The food is also very delicious and authentic - I can vouch for this because I am Vietnamese. I tried the beef with egg Banh Mi, as well as the banh xeo. Both were delicious!
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
They serve many options for Bánh mi! Except salad and Bánh mi, they also have some Vietnamese dessert, which is also good!
google avatar

Kenny C.

Yelp
Good banh mi. Comparable to what you can get in the States, and reasonable affordable. The space is beautiful and there's enough seating for lunch. I split the classic and the special. I don't remember the difference other than the special cost a tiny bit more and had more meat. Both were good though. They also put tomato in their sandwiches, which is a bit different from other banh mi that I've had. Staff is friendly and they understand English, but I don't think they speak it. Definitely recommend going for a quick lunch.

Yelp
Great quick meal with friends! Got the lemongrass meatball sandwich per the host's recommendation and it was delicious!

Yelp
Ordered the chicken bahn mi and chicken pho from the lady behind the counter who didn't seem that friendly. Her deer-caught-in-the-headlights stare was a bit uncomfortable. Bahn mi was delicious but the pho was tasteless. For some reason, my husband and I just wanted to get out of there already. Next time, when I'm really hungry, I'll get a bahn mi to go.

Yelp
In a word - Vietnamese baguette with some grumpy service. Longer version (for the brave) - after a loooong period of time I really wanted to check out that place and figure out what the hype is about, finally - I walked in. At first glance, the place looks nice, good atmosphere and all... Then I started thinking what I should order... There are not many options, but ended up taking the Chay. Luckily I've noticed they don't really ask you what to put inside, and just put everything - so it was kinda last minute before I asked to leave to tomatoes out, phew! As a starter we also took summer rolls with tofu, and also - got my complimentary drink (if you check in :)) Unfortunately it only happened after the cashier had no idea what to do and then another lady said "you can only have the house drink" in a very mad way (don't care - it was yummy!) So food arrived - we got the summer rolls still wrapped in the plastic they were covered in, take it off at least! And then, got my sandwich, with a hair on it! Oh joy. My friend's order was all wrong - he's vegetarian and got chicken in his sandwich, when he asked them to change it the same lady that was angry before was very upset with him too, after they got the order wrong, ridiculous. Eventually, he got a new one. And now - to the flavor - except the pickled veggies that took over (we're tasty) and the little sriracha sauce I put on it, the sandwich tasted like nothing, there was almost no tofu and barely seasoned. so to be honest - it was pretty empty (as in barely filled) and the last few bites were pure bread. Also, it's pretty small, so if you are very hungry this is clearly not enough. Overall, had high hopes for this place, but it all went down the drain after today. Anyone knows a good proper banh mi that could make up for this experience?

Yelp
I stopped by at this place years ago (the time when you were still like, woah, a banh mi place in Berlin?!)... also at a time when CoCo was focusing on banh mi's only. They now extended their menu to offer other delights, like pho and rice bowls. I like that the flavors here are less white-washed than at other Vietnamese places around the city, and that CoCo actually has the courage to serve more traditional food. It pays off - the place is usually busy and they now even offer to make a reservation. Highlights: Bánh mì Chicken (5.50 Euro), Bánh xèo Beef (6.50 Euro), Ph Gà (8 Euro) - nice job on the broth.

Yelp
This was a very hip place and had free wifi! I got the classic Bahn mi which satisfied my craving. Pricing was ok a bit pricey compared to what I'm used to in California but still reasonable. Taste was yummy a bit perplexed at some of the veggie toppings but yummy nonetheless. Overall I would definitely return as it was a good place to stop by grab a bite to eat and chill a bit.

Yelp
Omg the best curries I've tried in a long time. Try the peanut curry is not in the menu but it's just unreal. Prices are super fair.

Yelp
I used to live on the same BLOCK as this restaurant. And it's delicious. You do the math!! First of all, the owner is a total sweetheart. He's a young guy and I totally respect that he opened up this business and is turning out great food. I had a conversation with him in the first week or so after it opened and he was just so glowing and effusive about how he loved to cook for people. The ingredients are super-duper fresh. I love the warm, crusty banh mi bread. The pate is delicious. The toppings are all so good. I also really like this noodle salad they sometimes have... it's rice noodles and chopped up spring rolls and a delicious fish-sauce-based dressing. Oh my God, my sweetie and I used to fight over who was gonna get the last of that salad! The restaurant is clean and bright and nicely decorated. They keep a stack of German fashion, culture, and style magazines that you can peruse while you're waiting, which is pretty awesome. My only complaint is I could never get them to make the sandwich quite spicy enough! But this is a common issue in Germany. Definitely check this place out! There is a lot of questionable Asian food in Berlin (oh, hell, who am I kidding, I actually love German-style pan-Asian fast food), but Co Co is the real deal.
google avatar

Oliver O.

Yelp
If u have never tried banh mi in general..... Definitely try it! For Germany it's above average. For sure quite a big difference to banh mi in Vietnam... Still good though! Fresh and delicious! Also try one of the homemade drinks!

Yelp
Thank you swwweeetttt Jesus. Really, banh is the quintessential fast food of french imperialism. It's all about the meat, vinegar, freshness, simpicity, and yummyness all on a freaking roll. It rocks not woks. So, growing up I used to go to this sandwich shop called Lee's. For two bucks you could get a freshly baked bread sammy with fresh ingredients all vietnamese style. I lived off of those sammies (or burritos) in college. Now, I can live off these while I work and play adult. Banh mi is a comfort food of sorts for me and this place is the best at it in Berlin.
google avatar

Seán S.

Yelp
A friend was visiting from out of town and invited me to have dinner. He had a job interview close by, so I suggested we meet here. He had the Pho which he said was great and I had the Bánh Mì Special, 4,90€ now. I thought it was very tasty and fresh but as Bánh Mì is small, a bit expensive. We each had a beer as well.
google avatar

Inspektor S.

Yelp
The Baguettes are really really good, tasty and yummy. Best to consume in store when they're still fresh and crispy. The only thing which _really_ annoys me is that the people who are taking your orders are just plain stupid. I always order my sandwich without cucumber and coriander, they even write that down on the receipt (so it's not a language problem) - and they ALWAYS put in cucumber and coriander. So if you've got any extra wishes, you really gotta watch what they're doing, otherwise you end up getting something else than you ordered.
google avatar

DeAnna S.

Yelp
This was one of the first places that we ate at in Berlin. I was struck by how fresh everything tasted. I had a veg pho that was very tasty. It had lots of flavor, sometimes veg broths are a little lacking, but not this one. My husband had a chicken banh mi. The sauce and bread was excellent. The staff was very sweet. It all felt very nourishing.
google avatar

Janice L.

Yelp
delicious chicken banh mi, the bread was softly heated. the vietnamese omelette is a must try!! the fish sauce drizzled on top makes it extra tasty!!! crispy with a soft egg undertaste! MMm! the rice dish was alright, could have used a little more fish sauce. they also have asian dessert pudding- ish and huge rock cookie! refreshing smoothies and bottled drinks. place looks clean! would come again!
google avatar

Jia O.

Yelp
4,50 euro for the bánh mì Special, the French bread is light and crunchy as it should be, the fillings were fresh and tasty, I love pate, great quick bite if you're in the area.
google avatar

Gaby M.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat in Berlin. The chicken banh mi is delicious and well-assembled. I especially love banh mi because of the crisp veggies and the sprigs of coriander/cilantro, and Co Co doesn't skimp in this regard. Last time we were there we tried the Pho, which was okay, but I've had better. Definitely not as good as the banh mi. We also ordered the hot ginger tea, which was amazing and hit the spot on a cold day. It was served in a big tumbler that was stuffed with spears of fresh ginger and hot water with honey on the side. So good. The interior space itself is very pretty, with plenty of counter seating. We ate out on a courtyard once during the summer.
google avatar

Sammi L.

Yelp
I ordered the Coco sandwich (pate cha lua to be exact). What they ended up serving me was not so good. The pate was lumpy, the bread was too hard and the protein was something odd, definitely not cha lua, as I know it. I am from the San Francisco Bay Area, where there's a huge Vietnamese population and the quality compared to banh mi at home is unmatched. I cannot remember if the sandwich had daikons (?) with the carrots, but it needed to be pickled or pickled longer and the fresh jalepeno was missing. The place and folks were nice. I appreciated the extended hours.
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
I highly recommend the chicken banh mi that comes with a healthy serving of vegetables on soft, toasted white bread. The sauce is amazing, although the amount of chicken is a bit meager. I personally won't be ordering the pork banh mi again, as the pork quality was not to my liking and too fatty. The service is generally quick and the employees are always nice. Last time I was there they had the walls lined with huge jars of browned and shriveling lemons in some kind of liquid. Needless to say, it gave some unsavory visuals that weren't entirely conducive to eating.
google avatar

Yelp
Aesthetically beautiful store with tasty Bahn mi and great service. Growing up in a Vietnamese suburb means that it doesn't take long for me to start experiencing "viet food withdrawals". On the second day of being in Berlin, my trusty yelp app helped me locate where to find some Bahn mi. I was really surprised to see that Cô Cô opened till late unlike the stores back home. Anyway, I ordered "Bahn mi mit Hähnchen" aka Bahn mi ga or chicken roll and a vietnamesisch eis-kaffee. They had plenty of fruit there so I am guessing you can make juices? The Bahn Mi was definitely different to how I traditionally have it, but none the less tasty. Bread is nice and soft and ingredients fresh. The eis-kaffee was also good- very sweet though. I would love to come back and try the bahn xeo aka vietnamese pancake. I would definitely recommend it for vietnamese food lovers!!!
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
Had the Special, which was super delicious. Fresh baguette, fresh ingredients, spicy, sweet, tangy... so good. A really nice departure from the usual Döner I've been having for lunch. And no nasty garlic breath (just fish sauce breath...). It's right down the street and I'll be back.
google avatar

Kawamura N.

Yelp
Food was fresh and tasted very good. Also was a lot - price quality was very good. Only the atmosphere there could be better - meaning music, interior etc. Staff was friendly.
google avatar

Laura E.

Yelp
Had the Tofu pho which was good and very reasonably priced, staff was friendly, stylish interior and the food arrived very quickly
google avatar

M. P.

Yelp
Great pit stop for quick, healthy meal, especially for vegetarians. The menu at Cô Cô is simple and limited: primarily Vietnamese banh mi and carrot/kohlrabi/cabbage salads. There is no pho! Everything on the menu is available in vegetarian form, and the fried tofu is great! The banh mi is decent, but the carrot/kohlrabi/cabbage salad is wonderful. Slight sweet and tangy. Order at the counter and take a seat where ever you like. They have a beautiful private outdoor courtyard. Semi-English menu is available. Prices range from 6-8 Euros per dish. The service is not the most friendly, and the food is served on disposable paper. Otherwise, Cô Cô is a great option right next to the splendid Circus Hotel.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
This is a great lunch place! They have a limited menu, but everything they offer is fresh and delicious. And the interior is very nicely done. The meals and hot drinks are also served in cute ceramic cups and plates! I wouldn't recommend to sit and work there because the chairs are not that comfortable, and the Internet (if you need that), never works.
google avatar

Phil N.

Yelp
Looking for a quick bite to eat and craving a banh mi, stopped in this hip little place. It may be that I ordered wrong (classic) but I wasn't too impressed. Got some fatty pork served by a really rude girl. If she gave me an opportunity to change the meat - lemongrass pork meatballs looked amazing - I would have. But she just stuffed the bagguette with the fat and kept stuffing, including putting onions which I specifically said to leave out. She picked it out after I commented, but she looked like she's rather be anywhere other than serving folks. Get a new job. As for the sandwich, it was a good value and the pickled veggies were on point. But it was just way too fatty. I tossed out 1/2 of it because of it. Next time I'd try something else.

Yelp

Yelp
This is the place that finally broke me. I joined Yelp JUST to review this restaurant. I decided to come here on a whim tonight because banh mi is hard to come by in Germany and making it from scratch involves a lot of cutting. I walked in and placed my order. Luckily I couldn't find my cash so I asked to pay with my bank card, no problem. As I'm standing at the counter like an idiot waiting to pay while being pointedly ignored by the super professional staff, I have the pleasure of witnessing the girl who took my order go from preparing the sandwiches to picking up trash from the filthy floor and emptying the trash cans back to handling my (and other customers) food with the SAME pair of gloves. If I hadn't walked out on the spot without a word I would have been sued for the things I would have screamed at her. I realise that hygiene and sanitation aren't really a concept in Germany, but this is truly a new low. I'm never eating here and I'll be warning everyone else away from this disgusting hole.
google avatar

Katrin Z.

Yelp
I went for lunch with my coworkers and it was really great. It's a bit pricey but really good. It wasn't too busy during lunch hours and the staff was really nice. I had the peanut curry with tofu and it was super yummy. I was actually surprised that the tofu tasted that good (at a lot of places it's really dry and doesn't taste like much at all). Great place for soups too!
google avatar

Peter A.

Yelp
Very good food, every single time. Arguably a little bit overpriced, but I would not buy the argument, it's totally worth it!
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Today, I tried their sandwiches for lunch and even though I was a bit scared at first as I am not a big fan of lemongrass and ginger, I loved these sandwiches. I tried the egg one, which came with delicious sauces and veggies. The bread is also nice and crunchy and the price with 4, 50EUR ok for the area. The staff is also very friendly and they have free wifi. They also have proper dishes. Gonna try them out next time :)

Lylynn V.

Yelp
Fresh, authentic sandwiches. Great service and ambiance. Small Business. What's not to love? 5 stars; would definitely come back here to satisfy my cravings.
google avatar

H C.

Yelp
The sandwich was interesting, the pho was ok. The broth wasn't as flavorful as I'd hope - or maybe it's just I been spoiled bc cali viet food is like being in Vietnam. But it was super clean, had wifi, and great decor. They were also pretty fast

Belle N.

Yelp
It's nice to find a Vietnamese sandwich store in the heart of Berlin. The place is quite small but the food was good. I think ordering online is a better idea because there is almost no service here.

Miguel M.

Yelp
Went here hoping for the best and found something very close. I got the banh mi classic and a cold fresh apple juice and mint drink. The banh mi was good except the pate had a very strong gamey flavor. The bread was a little different than your traditional baguette but it wasn't bad, just different. The pickled carrots and radish were great. I would definitely go back if I was in the area or go across the city to get there if I wanted a decent banh mi.
google avatar

Hannes H.

Yelp
Amazing Bánh Mi sandwiches, they are some of the best I've ever had. It's a small place that specialises on these Vietnamese baguettes. Make sure to also try the salads. They are great as a starter. Prices are good too. Can recommend it. 4 stars as the menu is limited to almost only Bánh Mi sandwiches.
google avatar

Andrea L.

Yelp
This Banh mi deli or Vietnamsese sandwich deli is delightful!!! I recommend the meatball sub or the Classic with yummy pork pate! Cherish your deli experience as much as possible because you will doubfully experience it again in Berlin! Oh NYC how I miss thee and your pastrami treats!
google avatar

Per-Ola M.

Yelp
I had my first bánh mì experience at this place on Rosenthaler Strasse, and I can not think of a better place to start a lasting relationship with this friendly Vietnamese sandwich (thank you French imperialism for making this crossover possible). With lots of cold cuts, it certainly was a delight to eat and at the same time a feast for the eye. I would gladly swing by this stylish and inviting establishment the next time I'm in Berlin and I feel the need to stuff my gastrointestinal tract.

Yelp
Really nice pho atmoshere. The place smelled great and the ladies cooking in the back were super fast.

Yelp
Simple and very pleasant place for healthy Vietnamese sandwiches and salads. Perfect for a healthy fastfood and takeaway. Love this place!
