Coarsegold Historic Village

Walked through the village after breakfast at Wild Fig. Cool little shops to browse. Couple of the shops had some neat stuff to check out but others... not my thing but worth walking through. Worth checking out of your stopping for food or a break and have a little time to kill.

This is such an incredible place a true modern blast from the past. The history of the village is really neat and it's a treasure of all Coarsegold. Great food at the wild Fig and candy and treats at Mimaw's. The little shops around the village are all cute fun and unique. The hand made candles and Goat milk Soap at Modee's Leather and Lace are absolutely incredible. Modee also has doggy gifts and treats for sale. I prefer soy milk candles over other types of candles and that is what Modee specializes in. The goat milk Soap from Mountain Oak Premium Soap at Modee's is delightful as well the smells are wonderful. Come on down and see the rich western history of the Coarsegold village. Oh yeah the coffee shop is so good as well. The antique store is fun as well as the Poppy shop and Mended Fences, and you can even get Magna Wave Treatment at Three Cross healing at the village as well. I would venture to say that no trip to Yosemite would be considered complete without stopping at the historic Coarsegold Village.

It has the potential to be pretty neat but we went in the off season and most everything was closed. The antique store was cool. It had a great variety of items. Lots of really good deals on leather coats and they seemed willing to negotiate a bit on prices. I'd absolutely go back to see new inventory.

It is a nice place to visit. Its alike a little old West Village. You can find souveniers, a restaurant, a coffe shop and other little shops. Nice for pictures.

Stopped here on our way out of Oakhurst to take a few pics. It's a nice roadside pit stop for tourists.

Everyone, and I mean everyone is super nice. The shops are great and cute. You will not leave empty handed.

A something for everyone stop that deserves to be part of your Yosemite tradition. Zander's has excellent coffee drinks that are reasonably priced, plus the tastiest ground decaf to take home with you. Wild Fig has great meals with fresh locally sourced ingredients and bold recipes. The many shops always have something you didn't know you were looking for. A new shop had hand dipped corn dogs on the weekend. So fun!
