Coast Prince George Hotel by APA

Wife and I really enjoy staying here when we are in PG for a datenight. Rooms are clean. Staff is polite. Central location makes it easy to walk to one of the many restaraunts downtown, have dinner and a couple drinks. They have a decent Northern BC resident discount that makes their Jr Suites w/balconies quite reasonable.

Positive: A nice clean modern hotel and room. I had a room on the 7th floor with a good view of the area. Negative: The room was mid range pricewise, but no breakfast included. There are restaurants in the lobby but they charge extra for breakfast. For $--- per night I expect breakfast provided.

The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, the rooms are well appointed with big screen TV, clean and automated bidet in the washroom. The in house restaurant staff are very friendly. Nothing but good things to stay. Last time I was here was 2019 and it was equally good and they had dog friendly rooms which was fantastic

We had a fantastic stay at the Coast Hotel Prince George ! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Joseph and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Response to request are made fast and efficient Always looking for a place with a pool hot tub and sauna and they have all three. Individual saunas in each men’s and women’s bathrooms. Walking distance to everything you need and amazing in house restaurants to choose from. Over all amazing experience and I will be back. Thank you all at the Coast for making our stay wonderful

My stay was amazing ! No complaints. They even upgraded my room for free and that was a pleasant surprise. They even had a bidet in the room that had a heated seat and that was awesome. Hotel was super clean and everyone was super friendly.

Got a chance to stay at the amazing Coast hotel , located in the heart of downtown Prince George , one of the oldest hotels and vintage place that everyone in town knows . The decor inside is lovely , the staff at check in was very good . Satyainder at the desk was great and upgraded us since we were celebrating a special day . He also arranged great surprise for us in the room which was awesome . The room was great with an amazing view of the city . The pool area was great as well and did get to use the pool by myself which is great . Overall Cleanliness of the hotel and rooms is also remarkable. In the end , I Had an amazing stay , Thank you coast team for making it a memorable stay . Will recommend to all

The Coast Inn in Prince George was the Grande Dame in her day. Although she is looking tired and worn. The hotel staff were ALL friendly and helpful for any questions I had. My room was very clean, well maintained with some nice amenities. I booked reservations at the Shogun for myself and friends. The food was amazing! The unfortunate reality as with all communities in our beautiful country is this hotel being centrally located in the downtown core of Prince George takes multiple hits daily from the roaming addicts. My hearts go out to the very friendly and accommodating staff I truly am grateful for your fortitude.

Any time i have been to Prince George before, this particular hotel would always be fully booked. Now i know why ... very very clean rooms, lobby, bathroom, along with generous amount of toiletries.. lol Rooms are spacious and bed is comfortable. Fancy toilet seat gives you so many ways to clean ur butt. . There is an ironing board and iron, mini fridge n microwave . You know all these things count when you are travelling. Right!! There is in house dinning area which serves food to purchase like any other restaurant. Due to covid , I didn't enjoy any food here so cant comment.

Decent hotel that is probably one of higher end ones in this area. Large parking area as well as an indoor lot. I was there on a Sunday so most of the stores were closed but there was a salon and restaurants in the lobby. The restaurants were open for dinner only. The rooms were decent sized and it was clean.

I would like to leave NO stars, but I can't. This place is absolutely disgusting and the staff is even worse. Hotel is dirty, gross, beds were not clean when we checked in. Dust and dirt everywhere, broken things in the room. We checked out as fast as we checked in. Asked the staff to do something about the room and give us another room but the entire hotel is disgusting. Talked to the "duty manager" who just smiled and shook her head because as she said "that's what I was trained to do." Asked to speak to the manager and he promised to find us another room, apologized for the disgusting condition of our room and would be up to our room in 5 minutes or so to give us new keys. He came up and told us he had nothing after promising to fix the mess. I told him I wasn't staying there and this was disgusting. I told him the room was a "shit hole." He stormed away saying he was calling the authorities to remove us..... seriously WTF? The police came and were just as shocked. Police officer told him not to call them again and waste their time. This place is run by ***** who clearly have zero customer service skills. The manager is a liar and obviously has no idea how to handle himself. DONT STAY HERE!!!!

Let's get some good stuff out there first ... clean quiet room. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. A little too hot though and coffee bar not very well stocked. ONLY two packs of coffee ... no decaf and no tea. And the fridge froze my coconut milk. Small stuff really ... and I know how to deal with them. But I cannot fix management issues like communications with housekeeping... nor should I be expected to live with it. Under COVID 19 safety precautions we must inform the hotel if we want our room cleaned and then we must vacate for three hours before they can clean it. We did. They didn't. Upon our return ... after six hours ... the room was not cleaned. When I reported this to the front desk I was told I would have to wait another three hours because I had been in the room. I assured them we had not spent time in the room.... then I was told there was no one to clean the room. Here is my beef ... with all the people employed here, especially with their CERTIFICATES in HOTEL MANAGEMENT they can't assign someone to clean the room after housekeeping has gone home? In most other industries that's when other supervisors roll up their sleeves and pitch in. This does not seem to be the case in the hotel industry. This is not my first rodeo ... so I suggest a compromise . Just send someone up to make the bed and bring us towels, while we wait in the bar. $42 later we are informed the room is ready. Almost ... we had clean towels but the bed wasn't made. And we are just expected to pay full price for the room even though we didn't get what we paid for. If I order an appetizer with my entree and I don't get it.... I don't expect to be billed for it. Coast Hotels please teach your frontline staff and mangers to solve problems AND give them the authority to do so.

Was a really nice place comfortable hotel room clean rooms bed was really comfortable the staff were friendly and helpful .

Stayed there this last weekend. I spend a lot of time in hotels all over BC. This was an exceptional experience. From the awesome front desk staff, to the clean room and comfy bed. I also ate in two restaurants downstairs and both were great! The 1960s style gold drapes in my room on the 9th floor would be all that I would change.

This was such a nice hotel! We stayed here in late June last year. The room was modern and clean, and had a nice view of the city. We got a really nice view of the sunset! The bathroom was really nice as well - nice lighting, clean, and I love the toiletries they have at coast hotels. The pool and hot tub were also nice - we had a hard time finding it at first but it was nice and clean, and we had it to ourselves for a little bit. I'd definitely recommend this hotel, and I'd stay here again if I'm in Prince George!

Last minute, we needed a hotel room that would allow large dogs (Dec 20). There are several hotels in the area that are "pet friendly" until you read their policies and find out that they are only pet friendly to small pets... My 85lbs lab does not fit that description. Luckily, the Coast Inn of the North happily accommodated our need, and we ended up in one of the nicely renovated rooms. For the price and the short notice, this was a good place to stay. The front desk man was also really friendly, especially considering it was midnight by the time we checked in! We ordered room service for breakfast which showed up promptly when requested, and the delivery staff was also very friendly. The only downside was that the breakfast was mediocre but it served it's purpose. The only real suggestion I have is to get locks on the sliding door because our dog figured out pretty quickly how to push the door open to join us for an impromptu bathroom session :p

It was ok but I wouldn't stay there again. Good location but very dated. Strange bathroom doors that slide and don't lock. Smaller rooms and small tvs. Housekeeping questionable as they left the cleaning clothes on the bathroom counters and pillows laying around. Good front desk service though. Bad parking area ... Poorly lit and have to walk down stairs from parkade which isn't ideal with kids, luggage or if you are elderly.

Remodeled so wwwaaayyy better than before. Nice clean rooms. Only thing...bathroom door is a slider so not at all sound proof and the fan is attached to the light!! Breakfast downstairs was typical but good. Worth staying here again

Great convenient location. Good parking, comfy bed and options for food. I arrived on a national holiday so the delicious looking Japanese restaurant was closed. The bar offered a limited menu but the food was good and not overpriced. Staff was very kind and accommodating.

Worst hotel I've stayed in since becoming a full time business traveler. Dirty, dark, and severely outdated. Feel dirty just standing in the room. Paper thin walls. Hasn't been updated in 30 years. Small windows and small room. Save your money and stay in a roadside motel. Come on Coast, invest a couple bucks and buy some new bedding and a can of paint.

rooms were ok , but gotta train your kitchen staff way better or get people who can cook under pressure,I ordered food and waited over an hour for my food , then when got it, it was super cold
