Coastal Maine Hike and Bike

Matt was amazing! He made us feel like friends and showed us so much of Maine that we loved!! We learned so much and had a great time!! He had so much patience and acted like we were fun!! Thanks for the best tour! We will be back!! Some how the one pic we tried to get with him didn’t turn out!!

We were in Kennebunkport ar the tail end of the season and we're hoping to get a bike tour in, so we contacted Coastal Maine Hike and Bike and spoke with Al. The good news was they still had one daily tour on the schedule and so we booked it. When we arrived, Al greeted us and got everything set up for our ride. Being late in the season, we ended up being the only two people on the tour, and we were lucky enough to get Al, who is one of the business owners, as our tour guide. He did an excellent job showing us the sites and scenery of the Kennebunkport area, stopping along the route to learn about the historic landmarks and locales. Al took us on an extended tour that took us to Cape Porpoise, where we discovered the Ultramar restaurant, which we ended up getting a reservation for our last night in town. We would definitely recommend Coastal Maine Hike and Bike, whether you are looking for an eBike tour, kayaking or hiking. Their service is excellent, and Al and the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Our e-bike tour of Kennebunkport with Matt was absolutely the highlight of our trip!! He was so informative, personable, and friendly—there wasn’t a question about the area that he couldn’t answer. We had an AMAZING experience with Matt from Coastal Hike & Bike. We did a 2 PM Sunday bike tour and it did not disappoint! My wife and I completed the 2hr "Coastal" e-bike tour. Mike was a FANTASTIC tour guide and we loved gliding along Kennebunkport with him as our guide. Lots of stops along the way to see interesting spots. The bikes were great and the service was wonderful.

My mom and I did the 2 hour e-bike tour with Michael during a recent stay in Kennebunkport and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We had never used e-bikes before and the shop did such a good job of setting us up with bikes, helmets, showing us how to operate the bikes, etc. The tour itself was so FUN! The pace was excellent, the views of both of the ocean and the forests were beautiful, and Michael was a fantastic guide. He checked in with us often to see if we wanted to stop and take pictures, asked what sorts of things we'd like to see, and gave excellent background to Kennebunkport and the surrounding areas. I would highly recommend this tour and Coastal Maine Hike and Bike to anyone.

The tour is wonderful, and Matt is an incredible tour guide. He's fun, patient, and kept us safe and sound. He's so knowledgeable! We learned a lot about Maine, its ports, lobster, blueberries, all the while cruising through Kennebunk Port and Cape Porpoise with the coastal Maine air through our hair. He even knows all the flower types at the Barbara Bush-dedicated green space park! It was a lovely day, and - per our 12 yo son - "the best time I've had in 3 years."

We rented bikes for my whole family and got great service. They were very friendly and flexible with my 8, 12 and 13 yr old boys. They had bikes that worked for all of us and gave us some great advice on where to go to see what we were interested in. We had a great ride and a great day. Would definitely rent from them again.

coastal Maine, Hike and Bike were wonderful. First of all, there were seven of us spanning 70 years, sizes, shapes and experience.They outfitted us perfectly. The route we took showed us highlights of beautiful Kennebunkport. Al, our guide, was so conscientious, knowledgeable, and helpful. He even included a stop for homemade ice cream. A absolute must for a great outdoor experience.

We did an e-bike tour through Coastal Maine. Loved our leader Teresa and the bikes were excellent!

Great business. We rented two single kayaks for half day (3 hours). We put in right behind the shop, then traveled down along the Kennebunkport River and down a nearby quiet estuary, where we sighted a number of heron and other birds. They provided guidance regarding the tide and how to stay out of the way of the larger boats. It was a great morning activity.

Mike did a great job helping us set up and getting going. great to see area from the river view. only fell in once

I have been using Coastal Maine Kayak for years! They have amazing customer service and they always have the newest paddle boards and kayaks. There prices are very fair too plus the owner is always around to lend extra support to her customers as needed! Thank you Coastal ME kayak!!

These people are so nice and flexible and low key and reliable and the bikes are in great shape. We had been coming to Maine for a week or two in the summer for years prior to covid and having bikes is perfect. Thank you!!

Phenomenal business!! We rented 7 bikes and it was quick and easy! The owners were helpful with maps and directions too!

I reserved a hybrid bike in advance for a three day rental. Good staff, and the bike they provided me was in great condition. I will rent from them again

Amazing customer service! They will help you pick out exactly what you are looking for, all the while being upbeat, helpful and friendly. How awesome that you can get your kayak rentals delivered and picked up from where you are staying?! So very easy and convenient!! Plus kayaking in Kennebunkport is phenomenal. Second time renting from them and I will definitely go back.

We had a disastrous experience here. Came here with a group of friends for 4th of July weekend, so the shop was pretty crowded. We were one of the first groups to come back, however when we got to the docking area, there was no employee was present to help us, so we had to climb onto the dock from the kayaks ourselves. As a result of the lack of assistance, I lost my sunglasses in the process, the shop did not apologize nor offer to retrieve them. There were also other kayaks behind us waiting by the dock, including families with little children, no employee was there to help them get out of their kayaks either. Nevertheless to say, I will not return to this shop during my next trip to Maine.

My boyfriend and I came to Kenne this past August to visit some friends and family. This place came highly recommended for outdoor activities, adventures, and seeing the best that Kenne has to offer! We decided to rent bikes and tour the town, the day was perfect for it. Not to mention the owner dropped our bikes off at the house we were staying at so they were ready to go that morning. She was very hospitable and extremely helpful with tips on where to go. I'm looking forward to coming back next summer for the lighthouse tour!

If I could give 6 stars I would. Great experience and fun time for our family. Plus the owner was a walking GPS and gave us great recommendations!

A group of us did the Goat Island Lighthouse Tour. It was terrific in every respect. The shop was pleasant to deal with, the guide (Gregg Bolton) was excellent, and the tour was interesting and beautiful -- really a wonderful Maine experience. Highly recommend!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff for bike rental. Don't worry that they may not pick up their phone. They suggested a great path for our mixed youthful-old fart group. Good rates.

My wife and I reserved a tandem kayak Saturday evening for the next morning. The woman I spoke with turned out to be the owner, who got us set up the next morning. She and the staff were quite friendly and very helpful, adjusting the life jackets, etc. The equipment was in good condition and getting in the water was extremely easy and convenient. Within a few minutes we were paddling up the river and on our way to a lovely morning adventure. After we returned and dropped off our equipment, we spent a few minutes with the owner talking boats. She's built her own boats in the past and is clearly a life long paddler. I can't think of any way to make this a better establishment! If you get a good day and want some easy exercise while you enjoy the water, this is the way to go.

Beginner who had an EXCELLENT (11/10) kayaking tour with our wonderful, warm and friendly guides, Justin & Mike. We also loved Teresa, the owner. Great instruction, snacks included and just a super overall time. Definitely worth the price!!!!!!

I wasn't sure what to do in Kennebunkport. What a great surprise to find this kayak rental opportunity in such a picturesque location. Take advantage of the warm months in Kenne to be on the water. Don't forget to say hello to the owner's dog that lays around her quaint storefront. Hidden jewel!

Great shop with knowledgable people, we rented kayaks and SUP one day and the next day we rented bicycles, we had a blast exploring around Kennebunk. I'll be back for sure

What a great place! I came here with my whole family this summer and we rented paddle boards from the shop. It is located right in the heart of Kennebunkport, directly on the water and next to all the restaurant and coffee shops. The owner was so sweet and accommodating, and she has a team of great local kids working with her. We had a blast paddleboarding through the port and then grabbing lobster rolls next door. We will be back next summer. Thank you, Theresa!!

First thing I go into the parking lot and the guy at the parking stand asks where I am going I say Coastal Kayak and he says great another one my boss is going to be made he is not making any money. I know this is not the Coastal's Maine problem, but this is how my experience started. I go in eager to rent a Kayak at $45 half day, I was fine with the price. I was there and there was a customer being waiting on, a family of three and myself and four people who seemed to work for the company, fifteen minutes of waiting around with no explanation whatsoever, the family of three left, I waited another ten minutes, but while I was waiting I looked on my phone and found the Nonantum Resort and went there and renting a kayak for 2 hours for $25 and I am glad I did because the views there were outstanding and there was no issue with parking and the customer service was exceptional!

Easy to make reservations. Friendly owner and Gregg, our guide, was terrific! A great half-day kayak tour!
