My husband and I came out to Orange Beach specifically to try CoastAL and it blew our expectations. Tomar was our waitress, and she was extremely friendly, positive, and helpful. She constantly kept up with great service even when it got insanely busy. We could really tell she cares a lot about her job and serving customers. 10/10

Google
After seeing how busy this place was Saturday night we decided to come here for lunch the following day. We loved the atmosphere, sitting outside listening to the waves and the live music. Wesley was our waiter and he was fantastic!! He was extremely attentive and friendly. The blue crab claws were our favorite but all of the food we ordered was fresh and really good.

Google
Our waiter Donovan was amazing. He was so attentive and kind and caring. He made the 5/5 restaurant 7/5. The food was delicious and if you don’t get a desert you are making a mistake. The bread pudding was phenomenal and the shrimp was to die for. Donovan was amazing and so was the food! 100% recommend!

Google
Maddy S. made our 1st visit to Coastal an absolute fabulous dining experience. The outside dining option with the ocean view OR inside dining is just perfect. We even had a cool breeze on a 94 degree day. The service was the BEST we have experienced on our trip. Our 3 different entrees, oh my, were more than delicious. These cooks know how to cook. From the American Shrimp to Shrimp Pasta and finally Crab Cakes, the food is superb. 10 out of 10 we definitely recommend and we will be back!! Come enjoy this perfect spot. Ask for Maddy S!

Google
Great atmosphere and even better food! The poke nachos are a must try! Our server, Kenny, was new and did a great job recommending the grouper tacos—get them grilled! Would definitely visit again!

Google
Our experience at COAST AL Orange Beach was wonderful! This beachfront restaurant truly lives up to its promise of a vibrant, laid-back atmosphere with stunning views of the white sands and sparkling Gulf waters. Sitting in the outdoor bar area with the open-air setting, paired with live music, created the perfect vibe for a very enjoyable dining experience. Our waiter, Bailey, absolutely made the meal special. His friendly and engaging demeanor stood out from the moment we sat down. Bailey took the time to chat with us about the Orange Beach area, sharing local insights that added a personal touch to our visit. He was attentive, ensuring our meals were exactly what we wanted and checking in regularly to keep our drinks filled and our needs met. His thoughtful service elevated our dining experience to the next level—thank you, Bailey!

Madison waited on us and she was the best!! She brought us sweet tea to try because we didn’t know if it would be sweet enough. She talked to us and was so kind. Made sure we had everything we needed. Also such a cute place to take pics with the fam!! Definitely a 10/10

Google
We have been to great restaurants all week. The beauty of this place though tops our list. Absolutely stunning. Wonderful service. We have enjoyed sea food all week so tonight I had a filet and my friend enjoyed the ribeye. The answer is YES this is a DO NOT MISS restaurant. You will not regret spending an evening or lunch here. They have the service, the kitchen and the ambiance nailed!!! Everyone will find this a restful relaxed atmosphere .

Yelp
A MUST STOP!!. From the service in the restaurant, to the food , to the atmosphere , to the adorable gift shop attendant! I give CoastAL a huge thumbs up! The music of Imoore was great! There is not one thing that I can criticize! Our servers Lisa and Dominic were super friendly and timely! Drinks super cold! We had the Tuna Poke Nachos....Wow! They were outstanding! Served on Wontons, flavor over the top! Also had Grilled Grouper Sandwich!! We will return before we leave to sample other favorites!

Yelp
Visited here in a Saturday morning prior to returning home to Georgia. We were sat next to the deck/window. We asked about opening it up so we could see, but was told we were unable to do so due to the party next to us requesting the blinds to be down. Our server appeared to be slightly irritable whenever we asked about anything. Instead of walking around the table to hand us things, she would either reach over us or pass them to someone else for them to hand us our food/drinks. My meal was good. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was good. The potatoes were nice and crispy and seasoned. The food overall was good, not great though. I'd be interested to return for either lunch or dinner when the menu is more expansive. I wish the service could've been a little more professional but hopefully this was just a one off day.

Yelp
Love this spot! We sat in the outside area and really enjoyed the live music. Only deducted star because dogs aren't allowed. Had the nachos (pictured, description below) and they were absolutely delicious. My husband had the grouper tacos, which he started devouring before I could get a picture. He was a big fan! The service was good but you could tell the server was split inside and outside which made him less attentive. Tuna Poke Nachos Raw Yellowfin Tuna + Spicy Mayo + CoastAL Slaw + Avocado + Mango Cubes + Toasted Sesame Seeds + Won-Tons + Micro Cilantro + Sesame Glaze

Yelp
Atmosphere is great, very open & a gorgeous beach view. Service was quick & waitstaff were very attentive to our table. Food was great and had good sized portions for what you were paying for them.

Yelp
Once again, they hit it out of the park! Great service, beautiful view, and delicious food. This will continue to be one of our favorite places here at Orange Beach!

Yelp
After dinner here two nights ago, we came back for "Breakfast at the Beach" and I am very glad we did! It was a perfect start to the day with a gorgeous view of the Gulf while enjoying fantastic food. My husband had the sausage gravy and biscuits, my sister had the Daily Bake which was a spinach and feta quiche, while I had the Southwest Breakfast Burrito. All of the baked goods are made on site so the quality and freshness is a cut above. I have attached pictures of the food, but also of the building and the outdoor dining areas. We will definitely be back to enjoy the bar and grill and the outdoor live music venues. The creators of this complex have brought something special to Orange Beach. I simply love this place and we will be back many more time to come!
google avatar

Yelp
Generous portions, amazing service and loved the views of the Gulf. Definitely a repeat in the making.

Yelp
Took the family for lunch. First, the pimento cheese is to die for. I'd come back again just for that appetizer. The blueberry preserves and praline pecans really made it stand out. The crab claws were very nice, but I will never understand the price point for those at $29. The grouper sandwiches were delicious (but also a little pricey at $28/MP). The portion of fish was unexpectedly large, and it was fried well. My only pieces of advice would be to dress the slaw somehow, season the fish better (salt and lemon help a lot), and add a good bit more tartar sauce.

Yelp
Let's start with the service. Hallie & Renee were very friendly, welcoming and on point. The location as you can see from the pic is absolutely amazing. Weather was perfect today. Not too hot. We started with some specialty drinks. Both were great. The smoked tuna dip was great. I had the blackened grouper sandwich (fantastic) I ended up giving up half my sandwich to my other half and getting half of her Turkey club which was great too. We will definitely be back to explore other menu items for sure. I travel around the country and try to post. Follow Me for more.

Yelp
There are two restaurants right together. One was the more refined restaurant with entrees and the other was the bar and grill side, which is where we ate. We were seated in the green space, which was really nice on a breezy Sunday afternoon. Myles was our server and he was awesome! I can't say enough about his level of service. We ordered some crab claws that plentiful and flavorful. Myles told us the fried ones were the most ordered and I can say I see why. I ordered the grouper tacos, blackened and got the pasta salad. My sister ordered the grouper sandwich and got the fries and once the plates hit the table, I was glad I went with the pasta salad. The pasta salad was plentiful and flavorful. I so enjoyed it. It was full of onions, celery, olives, cheese cubes and peppers with just enough dressing to not make the noodles soggy. I was concerned when I was told I would only get 2 tacos but the pasta salad allowed me to be more than satisfied and full. The grouper was cooked to perfection. The piece of fish on each taco was a nice size. Truly worth eating there. There was live music and awesome views! This is a place I could eat at every day!

Yelp
NO TO GO ORDERS. Odd approach to success turning away the highest revenue generating customers. But there ya have it. No to go orders. The hostess stated their kitchen was backed up, and about 90% of the seats were vacant. Which signals a staffing issue, which indicates another managerial issue. Also, don't bring fido regardless of the expansive patio. All of the customers were light beer swilling guys with Salt Life stickers on their rwd pickups.

Yelp
We loved dinner so much we came back for breakfast the day we left the beach! Huge atmosphere, either restaurant beach side or bar side. A store to wait around in with their merch. For dinner, I had the gulf fish basket (grilled) w/ fries. The fries were delicious, and the fish was so fresh. My husband had the grouper tacos - very flavorful - he ate every bite. You've got to try the Key Lime Piña colada This morning we started with mimosas, I love that they aren't heavy on the OJ. Husband ordered the Southern Benedict - biscuits, sausage patties, southern gravy, and poached eggs. Bacon breakfast sandwich w/ Gouda cheese and an over easy egg w/ home style potatoes. Absolutely delicious with a beautiful beach side view. Our server Wes was very personable and quick. Opens at 8AM, come for breakfast lunch AND dinner. We've enjoyed it.

Yelp
The view alone is worth 5 stars! Parking is ample and when you walk in you have a choice between the restaurant or the bar. We picked the restaurant. It was a hot day and I wasn't feeling sitting directly outside but I will say I preferred the bar menu to the restaurant menu. We picked to sit under the awning. The hostess gave us a great seat. Shaded but a full beach view. We had cocktails and sandwiches. The grouper was good. The menu said blackened but I didn't taste anything but it was still tasty. My husband' s turkey club was everything. It was thick and good. He even said the bacon was good. You can tell that was made with a purpose. The breakfast potatoes stole the show. Good good. It was an expensive brunch but good.

Yelp
We had brunch here on Monday of the Memorial Day weekend. We attempted this on Sunday and the wait was crazy. Anyhow, we are glad we gave it a second try. It is a very big restaurant and very busy. There are two different areas to dine along with shopping. Parking is awful. Just prepare for that. You will probably have to wait to get in at peak times. Their brunch menu also offers their lunch menu. We were seated at a table where we could see the beach but be under the rooftop which was great. Hubby ordered the club sandwich with home fries and I had the blueberry stuffed French toast. I also had the Bikini Bellini and a Pain Killer (not on the menu but they can make one). Hubby enjoyed his club though it was huge. Home fries were average. I liked the French toast but it was a bit too sweet. It was massive and I only ate 1/3 at most. You could definitely share that with someone. I did not care for the Bellini at all. Totally different from any Bellini I have ever had. However, they made a great Pain Killer. The server was great and we would definitely go back.

Yelp
I'm a huge oyster fan, and had to have some recently. We went to Coastal to have a mid-afternoon snack. We kept hearing people mention the pimento cheese oysters, so we ordered a dozen and a couple of Bloody Marys. The BMs were a meal in themselves: okra, olives, a green bean and a huge shrimp complement the drinks. But those pimento cheese oysters! I can't adequately describe how fabulous they were! They come with some garlic bread that you can sop up the delicious butter and garlic remains. The only bad part is that I have to wait until next year to visit and have them again. Meantime, I'll dream of them.

Yelp
This trip was the best service we have had since coming here! Alicia was 10/10 the best server with excellent recommendations on the menu! She was patient with our kids and very friendly! Food came out FAST and fresh!! Thank you for giving us a great coastal experience!!
google avatar

Kara S.

Yelp
We ate the chicken sandwich. We live here and go several times a year. Beautiful sunset. They have bar with bar food and the fine dining side. Both always have great food
google avatar

Gina W.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere were great along with our waitress. Everyone was very happy with their breakfast and their experience as a whole. Would eat here again!

Tori E.

Yelp
This place was amazing! They were so accommodating to allergies! Ty was PHENOMENAL and we would definitely recommend to all our friends! Literally texting people how amazing it was on the way out!

Yelp
A luxury beach front restaurant! I could dine here every day just because of how pretty and aesthetically pleasing this restaurant was. We came around 2 for drinks and appetizers. There was no wait and we sat right at the bar. There was one other couple and throughout the resturant not many people were there at this time. There was bar seating, outdoor seating and TONS of indoor seating available. So many options to fit what you want. Everytime I go to the beach, I must get a bushwacker, and luckily for me it was on the menu. So, I got the bushwacker and my friend got the margarita to start. The bushwacker of course was amazing but I found my friends drink to be just ok. The kitchen closed at 3, so we ordered two appetizers to hold us over. We got the tuna dip and the pimento cheese. The pimento cheese was so of the best I ever had and was like a mini charcuterie board. It was a jam with pecan on top and a plate full of crackers, grapes, strawberries. The tuna dip was also very yummy, but between the two the pimento cheese was the way to go. Service was perfect and such a great way to start off our beach day.
google avatar

Terry A.

Yelp
Beautiful ocean front restaurant with a large outdoor seating area. Excellent service and food was very tasty. The pimento cheese plate was very good and served with a blueberry jam, candied walnuts and homemade crispy crackers. The chicken sandwich was excellent and was served with a peach aioli and pimento cheese. Would love to come here again and see how it is after the sun goes down.

Hannah I.

Yelp
Service was slightly slow, but we weren't in any hurry! Loved the atmosphere and we enjoyed looking out at the beach while enjoying our meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance and service deserve five stars here because the lofty open space stretches nearly a half football field across one of Alabama's most pristine white sugar sand beaches, and every table, high top and chair has a spectacular Gulf (ahem -of America) view, complete with cavorting dolphins. The help is chatty and courteous and they don't miss a beat correcting an mis-run order, a forgotten drink or screwed up meal. However, unless you're a fan of Easter-egg colored frozen boozeless drinks and sodden deep fried ersatz seafood, the excitement ends with the high"priced real estate: food and drink don't rise above mediocre. Cocktail culture is non-existent but that doesn't stop geriatric snowbirds and crazed fraternity boys from downing voluminous hurricane vases of fluorescently colored frozen sugary concoctions and doing their best to maintain their greasy midwestern corn-fed physique or their more contemporary freshman fifteen, depending on their demographic. We flummoxed the bar with an order for a simple rum daquiri and well were told in the nicest Midwestern mom way that " we can't do those here." Apparently limes come from plastic jugs in this part of the world , not from citrus trees.

Yelp
Andrew and Nicole did an awesome job taking care of us ! The view was awesome and Andrew also told us about the local art show the next day ! Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Being new to the area, this was the first place I visited for lunch. In a word, I was blown away by the views the restaurant and the outdoor bar. Upscale but not pretentious. The wait staff was so very attentive and the fact I was not use to being replied to by "yes mam" made the whole experience even more charming. The food was fantastic! I had the the smoked Tuna Dip and could get enough. Just the right amount of spices and seasonings made this dip worth buying by the pound. The salad I got with blackened shrimp added was more than I could finish but I made sure there were no shrimp left behind.... They were great ! I will definitely be back to this location. Great place to come to !!

Mary H.

Yelp
Beautiful view, friendly and helpful staff. Try the baked oatmeal and the avocado toast.
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
High end feel for the "redneck riviera" with beautiful gulf views and kind servers. Pimento cheese app is a must have. Tacos and fish sandwich were good. A little more expensive than others, but worth it.
google avatar

Soncerae M.

Yelp
First, be warned that there are TWO different places to eat here and only one has tacos lol the beach bar side of Coastal is where we landed and are glad we did. The key lime piña coloda is a must try! My husband and BIL opted for the tuna poke nachos instead of the tacos as they were looking for the most meat and we're definitely not disappointed! I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were melt in your mouth good! Our waitress, Kathryn, was AMAZING! We had gratitutiy added since we were a large group and we all tipped her over the added amount because that's how wonderful she was!
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
I love this spot in OB! It has such a great atmosphere, looking out at the water right on the beach! Their parking lot is huge so no worries with finding a spot to park! They're two different restaurants here. It's the same company just different menus/food/times. There's also a huge gift shop, you can shop while you wait on your food!
google avatar

Caroline T.

Yelp
Every staff member I came in contact with was great, but Leland was phenomenal. We started with the Blue Crab Dip and shared it amongst the 6 of us. We needed some more bread but the dip went a long way and Leland was happy to grab us some more. The ambiance was great with live music, nicely lit right on the beach with just a Pier Walk away. We partook in the Traditional Oysters, Raw Oysters, Crab Claws and the kids had Popcorn Shrimp. Everything was fresh and Devine. No complaints at all. I also had a Margarita served on the rocks that was very fresh. If I could give Coastal 10 stars I would. Thank you for a great experience.
google avatar

Walter H.

Yelp
Wonderful oceanfront restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. Beautiful sunset views with dinner. Our server was Emma who was excellent. We had snow crab claws as an appetizer and also oysters on the half shell. My date ordered a seafood quinoa bowl. Food was very fresh and well prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
google avatar

Heidi N.

Yelp
We ate on the "bar" side and it did not disappoint! There was live music, a very talented young lady musician from Mississippi. The ambiance was EXACTLY what you'd hope for in a beach dining experience in the south. The food presentation was SPECTACULAR and the food quality and taste was also off the charts. We ordered several items, but our favorites were the Aged Cheddar Pimento Cheese, Burger and the Key Lime Cheesecake! Flavorful, clearly thought presentation and tastes! THANK YOU, Coastal for providing quality dining, taste, ambiance and affordability!

Angelika S.

Yelp
Madison made me the best Christmas drink ever!! They did not have chambord so she improvised and improved the drink!!!
google avatar

Yelp
While food was delicious, service was good, great seaside ambiance; I am giving 4 stars due to the fact my friend had to eat alone due to the food runner delivered the wrong meal to me. When I finally was able to get our waitress's attention to let her know a burger was not my filet mignon she hurried it to the kitchen came back and apologized and offer free dessert and assured us my filet was being prepared stat. Well 30-45 mins later my food was delivered and still not cooked well done as I requested and stressed no pink whatsoever. I did not send it back again due to already waited longer for it to come out the second time than our order did the first time. I will be back to give them another chance to not mess up. Because food was delicious i just had to drown my filet in the hollandaise sauce to be able to stomach it.

Jan P.

Yelp
Tamara was our server tonight - excellent! I had the Island Grouper Bites - fabulous with the Pina Colada sauce!! Brad had the fresh fish sandwich - excellent - we will be back!
google avatar

Cheryl W.

Yelp
I came here for a late dinner on a Monday night. There was no wait for a table as I sat at the bar. The bartender and bar back were very friendly and gave great service. I enjoyed the cobia fish. I would love to come here during the day to see the view of the water.
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
Do not go here if you have a group of more than 8. They will flat out refuse to put two tables together and off no explanation. Even the manager was rude when we asked why. Appetizers, we had the tuna sashimi, crab claws, and pimento cheese. All were delicious. I had the blackened grouper with rice and fries. The grouper tasted frozen with very little flavor. The fries were obviously frozen, and the rice was actually the best part of my meal. Service was good. Our waiter could service both tables, just couldn't slide them 3 feet so we could all sit together. He said it was something about hurricanes, but funny thing, it was a perfectly clear day. I'm thinking if there was a hurricane I would have been no where near there and they'd probably be closed. Just my thoughts.
google avatar

Byron B.

Yelp
Food was OK. Salad was good, baked oysters were cool and arrived well after meal. Service was the worst, first time in my life that I left a small tip. I'll never be back.
google avatar

Stan H.

Yelp
Sat at the bar. Ordered grilled grouper tacos without tartar sauce. Took about 15 mins. Tacos arrived covered in tartar sauce. Bartender was either confused or disengaged as he kept looking up at the TV. Not a great experience. Unfortunately couldn't wait for a recook and by the way the bartender didn't offer. I paid my check and departed. Beautiful facility. Not a great experience.
google avatar

Russ L.

Yelp
Had dinner and then listened to music. Grouper was a little salty but very good. Service was fast and seemed designed to turn the tables quickly. Raw oysters were good but way too small. I've had them all over Orange Beach for the same price. This needs to be addressed by management. Great views and sounds of the ocean, but a bit pricey.
google avatar

Kaylyn M.

Yelp
I originally was going to give 4 stars because I was slightly disappointed with the daiquiri. It came out half liquid like it had melted. It was also extremely strong, but after we talked, I realized they probably just have a virgin daiquiri machine and add a rum floater to it. I wish this had been specified on the menu. However, the service was good and after a friend dropped her key lime margarita, she was given a new one free of charge (which was not asked for, so kudos to our server!). The food was good, the chicken was extremely tender on my pasta and probably some of the best chicken I've had at a restaurant. The fried gumbo bites were awesome. It's constantly busy, but they have a huge space to satisfy lots of people so it's always flowing. The food didn't take long to come out either. Overall, I would give 4.5 stars, but I rounded up due to the kind gesture of our waitress!

Yelp
Ocean front restaurant that serves a great brunch menu and some tasty drinks as well. I will assume the dinner is great as well. Very large restaurant with a huge bar and also lots of outdoor seating. I ordered the Bloody Mary, and my wife had a Tequila Sunrise. Two very well made drinks that paired perfectly with brunch. I had the Southwest Breakfast Burrito. Chorize, eggs, and cheese. Very large and very filling. Add some potatoes... I was full! Wife had the Avocado Toast. Not my thing but she enjoyed very much. Our server Ty was busy as Hell, but took great care of us. I would recommend this place to everyone.
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Came in for brunch. Food was delicious. Lisa was our bartender and she was great very personable and we never went without. The views are priceless. The restaurant is clean and the outside bar area with tables was also nice. We will return
google avatar

Kathryn S.

Yelp
Sat at bar and ordered a drink and crab claws. ClawsWere good and lots of them. I ordered the tuna poke nachos to go and was disappointed. Nor as good as the other times.

Yelp
We arrived on the Saturday before Easter and the Easter bunny was here. We got pics w him and ate brunch at the restaurant. We got the breakfast bake and todays was the sausage egg and cheese - the chef Changes it daily. It was similar to a quiche and it was really good. My husband got the turkey sandwich and it was good i just wanted breakfast and only had a small bite of it. My sons eggs biscuit and bacon were good and our server was very attentive. We had a great view of the water and even saw a pirate ship sail by.

Penny H.

Yelp
Great view and great service. We have been here many times, but this has been the best service ever. Both Lisa and Alvaro served us 2 days in a row. Super friendly and very quick to provide us with our drinks and food.

Yelp
Food was super yummy! They were very cautious and knowledgeable about food allergies. The bloody mary - super fabulous. The service was awesome. Blake, our waiter rocked. The ambulance was amazing! Beautiful coastal, relaxing place. Highly recommend

Yelp
This was my number one Yelp pick when I came to Orange Beach for the first time. The menu looked interesting and I wanted to sit outside as close to the gulf as possible. I came three separate times at different times of the day and had a positive, friendly, laid-back experience each time. I tried the pimiento cheese appetizer with pepper jelly and candied pecans. I wasn't that big a fan of pouring the pepper jelly on top but I went with it and I see where they were going with this. It all ended up as that one perfect bite. If you are a cracker aficionado like my mom, ordering this appetizer is worth it for the crackers alone. I'm still dreaming about them. I also tried the blueberry mojito and found it to be MY drink for the week and I ordered it every time. I highly recommend because it is light and fresh and really, really pairs well with fried seafood. Speaking of, I tried the grouper sandwich which was very good and the fried crab claws which were A-mazing! Soooo much fun to just hang out at a table in front of the gulf and munch away on some crab claws and garlic butter, oh, and a Blood Mary with a Gulf shrimp topper, too!

Yelp
Coastal is a machine. It seats 1200 people and the wait for a table is not long. There is an outside bar and eating area with live music and an inside dinning area with a bar and lots of TVs. As one would expect the food service for that many people can be hit or miss. We had the baked oysters.... No flavor. We also had grouper bites appetizer. You must like coconut for this appetizer.... My grouper was cooked perfectly but super over seasoned.... to salty. Hubs grouper was seasoned ok but slightly over cooked. The couple dining with us had snapper and said it was over cooked. I would come back and try it again... and order something else. Service was great... no complaints there. I'll be back at least one more time but be advised... this is no 5 star restaurant but it is a fun place to go that is right on the beach
