The restaurant is on the small side and the tables are somewhat cramped, but the liveliness of the staff and the quality of the morning breakfast was superb. The mackerel was one of the highlights of the day trip. I appreciate all the cute designs ranging from the chicken chopstick holder to the monthly moon schedule

If you plan to have breakfast in Kamakura, I recommend Cobakaba. Classic delicious Japanese breakfast sets featuring a grilled fish, miso soup, other small dishes with thick bitter robust black, just the way I loved😍

Found this small restaurant near Kamakura Station serving Japanese Style breakfast. I went there around 11:30 AM for an early lunch and had to queue for around 30 mins. I ordered the Salmon set and it came with some side dishes, soup, rice and tea. The Salmon was really tasty and probably one of the best I had. It was also thick, not like the Salmon in konbini bentos. The service was really great and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall highly recommend for people looking for a healthy japanese meal.

Hearty japanese breakfast, nearby kamakura station, here is the place if you want to experience japanese breakfast. Mostly the menu is Fish, there is no pork/chicken/beef. The food is great!! Worth to try and visit

The long line in the morning is there because this tiny breakfast restaurant is that good. On offer are variations of the healthy Japanese breakfast...a grilled fish, rice, Miso soup, small saladand tea. Natto and coffee can be added for a nominal extra charge. I didn't give it 5 stars only because the service can be in the slow side (you order and pay for your meal, take a seat and wait for your number to be called...and the wait can be a bit long)...and the last coffee I had there was disappointingly bitter (it is not always this way).

One of the best bento we had on the trip - the seasonal fish was delicious and their miso soup is one of the kind - not too salty and slightly sweet note! Highly recommend for an early breakfast or lunch

Yelp
This town closes early and opens late. This is the only breakfast place I found that opens before 9 am. Per my other posts, I love love the food in this beautiful country, but NOT breakfast. The only exception was Wander Kitchen, also in Kamakura. Cobakaba is cute and conveniently located in the retail hub of the city.

Yelp
Nice small restaurant. The "breakfast set" includes a fried egg, the yolk just firm enough to be manageable with chop sticks. Also accompanied by greens, nice cup of soup, and rice. The Americano is well made. It's one of the few restaurants around here that opens for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. The others start at 10:00 a.m. Where's a good restaurant that opens at 7:00 a.m.?
