"Hard-to-Find Ingredients and International Delights The Nam Dae Mun Farmers' Market at Cobb International transformed an old grocery store into a market that sells international foods for expats and the culinarily curious. You'll find all sorts of meats, industrial-sized bags of rice, and products sorted by what part of the world they come from. Produce and meats are fresh and fairly priced, making the drive to Smyrna worth it."

Do like this local farmers market in Smyrna off Spring Road however I find the seafood to be a little expensive compared to the International Farmers Market in Doraville off of Buford Highway!

I have been visiting this location for several years. Recently, significant changes have been made. The original building, which featured old red brick, has been updated with black and white paint. The signage has been repaired, and the parking lot has been resurfaced. Inside, the store’s displays have been redesigned, likely by a professional team specializing in grocery retail layouts. The changes are noticeable and give the store a more modern appearance. The renovations may be connected to the new $600,000 townhouses being constructed across the street. Gentrification! That said, excellent selection. Vegetable, herbs, spices, nuts, etc. Hands down, the best selection and prices over nearby Publix or Sprouts.

This fresh food market is clean and full of fresh produce, fish, seafood, and meats. I would highly recommend!!! Culturally diverse, with Indian, Mexican, Asian, Korean, Vietnamese, and so much more. The prices are reasonable. I added videos of live seafood. I was told this location is better than other locations. You have to check this one out. Happy shopping!

Google
Ñam Dae Mun market offers incredible value for the fresh produce and quality products. While the staff can be a bit gruff, I've learned to tune them out and focus on finding the best deals. The selection is always impressive, and I leave with a cart full of goodies. If you're looking for affordable, high-quality food, this market is definitely worth checking out. My bill here doesn’t compare to Krogers, I got all these veggies for $25, whereas Kroger would’ve been $40-60.

Enjoyed our two visits here while on vacation. Prices on many Asian items run 5-10% cheaper than HMart. Mostly friendly staff, bilingual or trilingual. Bakery section is very good, we loved the slice of coconut cake so much we bought a whole one and drove it back home 10 hours away!

Google
Farmer's market, where you can get fishes and other stuff for cooking Asian or African dishes. Nice place and good services.

Google
This location did not have as many choices and most of the workers not as welcoming. Still was able to find some of the international fruits I so love. However, I went for my forbidden black rice, purple potatoes, and plums and they did not disappoint. The environment was clean and the shelves were fully stocked.

Google
Great selection of fresh seafood and meats. They have whole goats and lambs frozen and plenty of goat and lamb meats. The seafood selection here is top notch with fresh fish you wouldn’t expect to be able to get this far from the coast.

Yelp
You can pretty much find any type of meat that you need for a decent price and the service is good.

Yelp
The selection of produce and proteins is what I've been looking for The prices are on point , I'm looking forward to returning there next week.

Yelp
Great farmers market! Tons of options to choose from this is my go-to farmers market in Georgia along with Buford Farmers Market. TOP TIER!

Yelp
Totally recommend visiting Nam Dae Mun if you need fresh produce, quality meats, and hard to find seafood. This place has it all. By happenstance, found out that the deli makes El Salvadorian pupusas which you can buy hot and ready to be eaten four for $10. Not a bad deal if you are looking for something tasty on the go. My spouse loved them! Thank you Kenya! We usually come here for spices or sauces but they have some really good products here. Avocados are usually a lot more inexpensive than what you find at bigger brand named stores. The workers are super kind and friendly too. It's a clean store with local vibes.

Yelp
Great reasonable prices, very convenient store hours and clean stores! Always Fresh seafood.

Yelp
In Georgia for the day, I wasn't too sure what I was looking for when I googled an Asian market near my hotel. If your from the West Coast and know about H-mart or 99 ranch then I guess this was kind of the place I was looking for, Unfortunately, this was not the case. Side note - For those of you not familiar with 99 Ranch or H-mart, they are Asian chain grocery stores up and down the West Coast. Clearly, they sell Asian snacks, treats, veggies, meats but these stores in particular see read to eat food. After walking around a bit, I realized Nam Dae Mun Farmers Market does not sell ready to eat food. Ok, no big deal... and I have to say the prices are reasonable. We decided to grab a steak and veggies and cook it in our hotel (We brought a burner) ok kids don't try that at home or the hotel. LOL The customer service was good. If I lived in the area this would definitely be my go to market. With further research this is a Korean Market and yes they do sell ready to eat food in a food court (at there Duluth location) =)

Yelp
My favorite grocery store! Fresh produce fresh herbs, jazz up your cooking with the spice aisle, walk-through the kitchen gadget aisle for new hacks for cleaning, cooking and storing.

Yelp
typical asian store so its good as it gets the only issue i have is that it is often has that smell in the store hard to tell what but it is uniquely just for Nam Dar Mun

Yelp
I like the variety of vegetables and meats in this store. I think they could provide more services in preparing fish such as filleting them. It's very clean store but I do find the staff to be unfriendly. Im assuming it maybe due a language barrier. But, management should fix that issue. There's a person standing as you enter the door but she's not greeting anyone. It's like she standing as a guard which isn't a friendly method to greet customers spending their hard earned money in your store. Bad business practice.

Yelp
The owner was great ~ unlike other stores that make you wait until the last second, he let us in a few minutes before their scheduled time. I loved that every thing was in place. The shopping experience was pleasant. There were no boxes of inventory blocking the path and, I was thrilled to be able to obtain items that I had been searching for and needed. Very impressed with this market. My only issue was the options for the fresh fish didn't include filet.

Lisa H.

Yelp
I'm disappointed with my purchase of the beef ribs today, it almost looks like meat was shaved off of the ribs..IDK

Tom I.

Yelp
Bought a box of Black Box Merlot and when I opened it, it was sour. I didn't look, but it was well past its expiration date. Took it back the same day and they would not refund or exchange the package. Woman at customer service was rude and nasty. My suggestion to all shoppers, check the expiration date on everything you buy from this place!

Yelp
If you want to save money on produce or if you're dedicated to living a plant-based life, then get in your car and go here! What are you waiting for?! Let me tell you, I can get a basket full of fruits and veggies for like $20-30 here. If I purchased the same exact items at Kroger or Publix I'd easily pay an additional $15. I buy a LOT of produce if you can't tell. The assortment is fantastic and you can buy produce in small or large quantities. I save so much $ shopping here! The product aisles are great too. They have awesome selections from all cultures. They have Jamaican, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, etc., foods, drinks, and spices. Many of these items would be hard to find elsewhere. They also have cheap cheeses. I paid about $8 for halloumi cheese at publix and then saw halloumi cheese here for like $3 smh.

Payal P.

Yelp
It is not advisable to buy bagged fruits or perishable food from them, me and my sister both bought box of mangoes each and we have to throw most of the mangoes and it could last for a week, when we buy box of mangoes from actual Indian grocery stores it doesn't go bad for at least for one week. And when called they said you have to return in one day who tries to finish box of mangoes in one day time.

Yelp
This farmers market saves me a trip to Dekalb county. Fresh produce and great seafood. I get my red snapper and crab from this market. They have recently expanded and reorganized the seafood section and replaced many of their old refrigerators with new ones. That's great. Kudos to the management team.

Yelp
I always enjoy coming in when I need Jalapenos for Hot Sauce; I rarely end up without a ton of other stuff...LOL. There are lots of Specials in the Fruit and Vegetable, Seafood, and Meat sections. The Isles are Cuisine Specific, making it easier to find what you need. If you can't, the Staff will gladly assist. The only drawbacks are long lines at checkout and a slight odor typical of many of these markets, something to be aware of if it's your first time.

Yelp
I've been coming to this location for 5 years and after all the money I've spent today was my last day giving this company and store my money. The main reason is due to rude Customer service. From the meat department to Anna answering the phone assisting customers with a not so Plesant energy and attitude and speaking with Juan a manager. I needed to return something due to being the incorrect item I bought it the same day and returned on the same day. The return was put on the incorrect credit card so I returned to the store the next day because their phone was not working when you called. I just wanted to ensure I would still get my refund even if it was on the incorrect card. The manager with a very sarcastic tone and mouth said " you have your receipt right" which he visibly can see in my hand. He said that's it you got the receipt mind you I'm not irate or even angry just a normal customer wanting some reassurance that the refund won't have any issues going to the card. I realized after many interactions with associates and now a manager that this isn't the place I want to purchase my groceries from. I want to feel respect as a customer and I would like to be treat like I'm a valuable part of a smaller business. I am aware that this a majority Hispanic ran store and business and the energy I get from them as an African America woman I'm not interested in. I asked an associate as well for help on the meat department and she quickly told me she doesn't speak English but didn't attempt to get an associate who did to help me. When I did get someone from the meat department to help he was very dismissive. So yeah I'm good on all that bad attitude and energy. Wish them the best it's not like they care about shit I got to say.

Yelp
Things you won't find in a typical grocery store. Worth the drive! I found daikon radish

Yelp
I happened to stumble upon this store on my way back from work. I have been to the bigger store in Duluth and was slightly expecting it to be the same but did not see the food counter nor more Asian-related products. However, I was not disappointed by the wide variety in products from produce to home goods such as brooms and dustpans. I noticed that there were many Korean products as well as Mexican goods. The prices were not as good as their other chain store fronts but some of their sale items were within similar prices. However, note that some of their sale items may have passed the "sell by" date/expiration is very near. I looked at a kale page that had a sell date from 2 days ago . The store is not the cleanest and seemed very cluttered with the wide array of goods as well as many customers when I visited around 3:30pm. In general, this is a great place to check out cheap produce or if you are bored and want to see different cultural foods and products. I want to try some of the bread from the Mexican bakery the next time I go!

Samia H.

Yelp
This farmers market is beyond lousy. Numerous times I bought their produce only to get home and discover that they are bad. Example, the eggplant looks good on the outside, bad on the inside. Furthermore, their prices have gone up so much in 2023, that their produce AND groceries are more expensive than Kroger, for the exact same veg and brand of groceries. Lastly, their customer service is far from customer centric. They never apologize for their mistakes or their lousy products. I have started going to the farmers markets on Buford Hwy. There are 3 good farmers markets there, good produce, good groceries, good prices and great customer service!!!!

Darby I.

Yelp
Great place to find all types of international foods. Good quality products. Clean and fairly priced.

Yelp
As a chef I love farmers markets this one is a little smaller then the one that's in NE Atlanta can't remember what city but it still had tons of options for you to cook and make any thing you need. A few employees asked if we needed help but we were just browsing mostly. Love to come here for ingredients you can't find at your local grocery store!

D M.

Yelp
Be careful shopping here. We have purchased fruit here and it has been bad. Rotten to the core but looks good on the outside. Example purchased bananas and obviously they had been frozen and thawed and even though they looked good on the outside and then inside rotten.

Tracy E.

Yelp
Great place to shop for unique fruits and veggies from all over the world. Huge produce section as never seen before! My husband and I love ethnic foods and you can find any and everything here. Upgraded bakery and produce delicious desserts and breads. Prices are reasonable...so much more so than anywhere else...I am always pleasantly surprised at my total upon checking out. Do yourself a favor and check it out!!

Yelp
Fresh fruits and veggies. Have a tremendous variety available and fresh fish. Love this market

Yelp
I needed to go to an International market and I needed one that was in the area I was in at the moments I searched yelp and I was familiar with Nam Dae Mun Farmers Market. The market is in a small strip mall with establishments. There is a parking lot in front. The shopping carts were lined up outside with plenty to choose from. The Market wasn't too busy. This market was clean compared to other international markets I've visited. The market had an abundance of different choices of fresh fruits and vegetables. They have all sort of peppers and herbs. There's a seafood department with fresh fish, blue crabs, snow crab legs, octopus, and just about anything. You can find all cuts of all meats here from pork, poultry, beef, etc. If you're looking for something for an International recipe Come to Nam Dae Mun Farmers Markets.
google avatar

Edward C.

Yelp
Great place to pick up fresh fruit and Asian food if you don't want to drive to Duluth or Buford Highway. Some of the seafood didn't look that fresh, but overall, the veggies and other products seemed reasonably priced. Store overall looks a bit old but certainly not run down.

Yelp
Talk about a renovation. I recently decided to check out this farmers market after not shopping here in over a year. What a pleasant surprise to find that they have upgraded the place! Walking in- the air smells different, and in a good way! When you enter there is usually produce in the entry way and the produce department is the first department that you walk into. The prices can't be beat! Fresh mint for less than a buck! SCORE! I personally think that this is the best store in the area for all of your produce needs. You will find some new items to try since it is an international mart. The meat department is at the rear. They have a well stocked seafood section with anything you can think of. Admittedly I did purchase fresh shrimp from here once and broke out simply from cleaning them. Since that time, I have not purchased any meat from here. The aisles are stocked just like any other grocery store. I think they are slightly more expensive for pre packaged and frozen goods. They have a wine section too. I did a quick comparison with a google search, and they have competitive prices. Once of my other favorite aisles is the tea aisle! I drink tea several times per day and they have any brand you are looking for! Agin, price wise, slightly more expensive. The last aisle to note is the one with houseware and just about everything else. I have never made a purchase from this section. Regarding service, it's pretty much non existent. Just know what you need and browse for it. I think you might have better luck asking another customer than the staff. Give it a try, especially for your produce needs.

Yelp
I want to give zero stars but that's not an option. I usually go once a week and I'm unsure if it's a language barrier but some of the employees are very rude. I don't understand why I have to bag my own groceries is that not a job requirement? Then when I asked the 2 ladies at the register (yes 1 was ringing me up and the other stood there talking and laughing) rolled their eyes and started speaking in Spanish. I'm going back to the Dekalb Farmers Market. Get another job if you don't like retail!
google avatar

Katrina G.

Yelp
My friends have been telling me about this farmers market for years so I finally decided to come see what the hype was about. This farmers market is a bit smaller than what I'm used to but it's super close to my house. They have fresh seafood, fruit and veggies. The tea selection is magnificent lol. The customer service needs hella work but I still come here because it's very convenient. If the customer service was better it would definitely be a 5 star situation.
google avatar

Tami B.

Yelp
Great variety of authentic cultural foods. Excellent cuts of meats and fish. Veggies and fruits that you can't find in your typical grocery store. Great customer service and very reasonable prices.

Yelp
Nam Dae Mun is a Korean owned local chain of grocery stores. They currently have 7 locations in the Atlanta area. They include: 1. South Cobb Drive https://www.yelp.com/biz/nam-dae-mun-farmers-market-smyrna-3?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) 2. Stone Mountain https://www.yelp.com/biz/nam-dae-mun-stone-mountain?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) 3. Norcross https://www.yelp.com/biz/nam-dae-mun-norcross?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) 4. Morrow https://www.yelp.com/biz/nam-dae-mun-morrow?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) 5. Duluth (original location-opened in 2005) https://www.yelp.com/biz/nam-dae-mun-farmers-market-duluth-2?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) 6. Lawrenceville https://www.yelp.com/biz/nam-dae-mun-farmers-market-lawrenceville?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) 7. Lilburn https://www.yelp.com/biz/nam-dae-mun-farmers-market-lilburn?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) This location is on Spring Road about 6 minutes from I-75 and 285. It shares the parking lot with several other businesses including Mint Leaf Indian Cuisine https://www.yelp.com/biz/mint-leaf-indian-cuisine-smyrna?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) US Cafe Express https://www.yelp.com/biz/us-cafe-express-smyrna?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Beauty World 2000, a dry cleaners and Little Caesars. There a plenty of parking but the spaces are tight and there is a lot of pedestrian traffic...so be careful. I almost ran over this guy pushing a bunch of shopping carts into the store when I was trying to turn into a parking spot.... The store itself is busy and has lots of great fresh produce at bargain basement prices. They have lots of Asian veggies and they sell them cheaper than H-Mart which is great because you know they move them out quickly. I usually come in for veggies, a few Asian snacks...they don't have that many Japanese snacks or Japanese can coffee that I could see....need to go to Tomato on Windy Hill for that..... https://www.yelp.com/biz/tomato-japanese-grocery-marietta?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) They do have a pretty good selection of fresh seafood and their prices are competitive. I think the South Cobb Drive location is larger and carries a lot more items but this location isn't bad either. They cater to the heavy Hispanic population and is always fun to try out a few new items here and there.... I have no problems returning here again or going to any of their other locations. I think they are a great alternative to H-Mart. 1322nd review 4/23/2018 242nd for 2018

Yelp
NDM used to be my go-to for nearly everything when I lived down the street, some 3+ years ago. It was sketchy AF, but everything was both fresh and reasonably priced. Full disclosure, I started doing most of my shopping in between Costco and BuHi Farmers Market awhile ago, but NDM is always in the rotation for the occasional odds and ends, when necessary. Now that I'm visiting on a less frequent basis, I notice things have changed. They've remodeled and re-organized, and opened second and third locations, and added a clearance section in both their meat and produce sections...cool, in theory. The clearance/pre-pack produce section is frequently stocked with not just slightly overripe, but rotting/moldy produce. Quite a few of their produce items are double what I'm seeing at other FMs...$6.99/lb for snow pea tips, $4/lb for yu choy, $4.99/lb for red/yellow/orange bell peppers, and so on? Fucking amazing. All that said, I'll still stop in to pick up fresh herbs, assorted produce items, and the little odds and ends that I may need to round out my shopping...but I'm a bit shocked to see how they've switched shit up.

Yelp
A solid four stars for Nam Dae Mun for exactly what it is and not what it isn't supposed to be. Don't come in expecting it to be super clean like Publix or Whole Foods -- this just isn't that place. This was actually my first time here. There's a huge selection of fresh fruits and vegetables -- most of which I can't find at my local Whole Foods, sprouts, or Publix. One of my favorite side dishes at a Chinese restaurant is snow pea leaves sautéed in garlic -- well they have the leaves here and I almost passed out -- yes!! I literally bought a cart full of fresh fruits and vegetables for my family of 4, along with a bag of brown rice all for $47. I couldn't believe it. If you can get past the appearance, you should be pleasantly surprised. The only thing that I didn't end up buying were blueberries, as all of the packages left had mold. I plan to return!
google avatar

Jasmin M.

Yelp
I love comming into Nam Dae Mun. Their produce, meats, fish, and Caribbean goods are priced amazingly. This was my first time visiting the smyrna location and I was very pleased. They had plenty of parking and the same good deals I'm used too. On this visit I came in looking for drumsticks for the grill. Yall I got a big bag for $5 and change. I'm telling you 20 big pieces for that price. I don't think you can find a better deal anywhere. Needless to say my bbq is gonna be litty with the chicken. I rarely go to publix or kroger for meats and produce. I get all that stuff here. The produce is fresh and is always better priced. I would consider this a great stop for my international friends. If your Caribbean like me you can find so much seasonings and food here (chiefs, ting, all the pepper sauce you want and more...lol)

Yelp
Crazy expensive vegetables but that's inflation. Great choice of fish and meat. Staff not very helpful but I can live with that

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
This is the closest Asian food near me I found Asian vegetables that I love. Price is not bad. I'll visit again and again.

Yelp
I wanted to try and find a new and more convenient farmers market near my house and I indeed found it in Nam Dae Mun. I only needed to grab some rice wine vinegar and soy sauce but their sauce aisle is something I'd like to spend more time going through. I also snagged a large bottle of Worcestershire sauce for a decent price as well as 3 unripened avocado for $1.00.
google avatar

Jakeline C.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! Fresh and exotic produce and very affordable prices. You can get so much for under $30!
google avatar

Monique F.

Yelp
I used to shop here regularly. I loved their cultural variety and (most of the time) their fresh fruits and vegetables. I bought shelled peanuts from them on two occasions that were soft. The first bag I threw away because I thought because I had them for a while, I may have caused that. The second bag I decided to return because I tasted them the same day. They gave me a hard time refunding $3.44 because I brought them back passed the 10 days. I tried explaining that my vehicle was being repaired and I couldn't return them right away but that did not matter. I will never spend another copper coin in that store again!

Yelp
My aunt and uncle said they prefer the one over on S. Cobb more, but I don't know. Personally, I think this one might be better. It feels more organized, everything is properly labeled, and it feels like they have a wider variety of food. For instance, I came here again because my manager wanted some artichokes, which they did not have at the S. Cobb location. Also, this location had red sugar cane instead of just green sugar cane, (after trying it I'll stick to the green one, lol). They always have a variety of everything and anything you could want. Compared to the other Nam Dae Mun you are not meet with a fishy smell when you walk it. Definitely one of my favorite Nam Dae Muns in the area.
google avatar

Brian O.

Yelp
They have a very nice and wide selection of produce, seafood, poultry, pork products, ethnic foods and their prices are great compared to other grocery chains. However, I hesitate to buy beef there anymore. The last few times I bought steaks (rib eye) they were tough and the beef ribs had little to no meat. In addition, you have to make sure, as items are being rung up, to check the prices (or at least be sure to check your receipt) because it seems like the cash registers are not calibrated with the current published sale prices (especially the weekend specials). And even though I've shown the cashier a pdf of the recent sales circular, I've gotten an argument about the published pricing. This has happened to me at both the Lawrenceville and Duluth locations and it doesn't make for a pleasant experience.
google avatar

Randy P.

Yelp
If you like to cook then this is the place to shop. Great produce and inexpensive meats. The seafood section is outstanding. I love the international atmosphere and the wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

Dante W.

Yelp
They always say they have live blue crab over the phone. When you get there, they're all dead or super small. Wasted time coming all the way here.

Yelp
Many years ago I came here and wasn't a fan. I left disgusted and vowed to never come back again. So what made me come back? It's because I work in the area and when I tell my coworkers about ingredients, I feel bad that there is none in Cobb County where they could go to. They asked me about Nam Dae Mun. I had to tell them the truth but that was many years ago. Plus it didn't make sense since I love the Nam Dae Mun in Lilburn. I figured, give the Smryna one another chance. So I did. It has changed since then. Fruits and veggies were plentiful and much cleaner. The foodcourt is taken out (like the Lilburn location). There is Aury Bakery! (just like the Lilburn location!!) I feel that the Smyrna location mimics the Lilburn location well. It's everything that I found at Lilburn, here in Smyrna. For that reason, I bumped the rating to a 4. If I ever need something and didn't want to wait to get home, I could get it here. The main difference is the Smyrna location isn't as busy but has all the necessary items I need. 134/2017

Hakki G.

Yelp
The employees at the Nam Dae Mun Farmers Market at Smyrna are quite inept in handling customer complaints and the store manager is not available to address any complaints. If you want to point a problem, you are treated badly and there is no one to receive your complaint about how you are treated. The prices of the several items displayed on the shelves were less than what the cahier charged. When I brought this discrepancy between the prices displaced at the shelves and charged at the cashiers, I was treated as if I am at fault by the customer service employee and I was told that I need to speak to store manager. When agreed to speak to the store manager, it turned out that the store manager was not available to talk to me. I was given a business card of the company business office to call to talk a manager. When I called the number on the card given to me, after a long wait oh hold I was told that the manager is not available and there is no one else to talk, and I need to call back.

I really really really love this location and this place. Ever since I moved here from St Louis it's difficult sometimes to find the international foods fruits and vegetables that I'm looking for it to cook and prepare new different and interesting meals. However, this location has tons of variety workers really don't understand what I'm saying sometimes but I do like what they provide and I will continue to go to this location specifically thank you
