YOU NEED TO STOP HERE if you’re on the cape cod rail trail they have the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had HANDS DOWN! The buttery roll melts in your mouth as you bite the warm lobster that’s when the flavor of the lobster meat and the buttery bun combine in your tastebuds you will never want to get a different lobster roll ever again!

Google
Great cash-only (they have ATMs) place for ice cream! The soft serve has 20+ different flavors that are so light and creamy! It’s vanilla soft serve mixed with different syrups, good for subtle flavors. Their ice cream was also amazing, especially the weekly flavors like purple cow and cinnamon bun, don’t skip on them!

Google
This place had everything we were looking for. After a sunny day at the beach we found all the delicious fried seafood we could eat. Generous portions and served hot. They even had great options for those in our party that don’t eat seafood. Even with a long line of people waiting to order, we made it through the line and had food in our bellies fast before the kids had a melt down. Good selection of local canned beers, cold drinks, ice cream and smoothies. We will definitely be back.

Google
Great prices! The swordfish sandwich was absolutely delicious and gave a big piece of perfectly cooked fish! I would add though, I ordered the lobster bisque and was not a fan. My bowl unfortunately did not have any lobster in it, only microscopic sized pieces in the broth itself. Although I do not recommend the lobster bisque, the rest of the food was delicious and definitely worth a stop! Also, they accept apple pay!

Google
Best seafood roadside dive bar with fresh options. Great vibe and selection as well as service.

Google
What more do I have to say other than taste sea food followed by ice from their ice cream stand. Fish was fresh and cooked to a soft crunch. Plate sizes are fair for the lower price. All seating was outside from what I seen but plenty of room just don't come when it's raining. Food is ordered at a window, and then you seat yourself til your pager buzzes

Was just craving clam chowder while on vacation. It was great. Nice and thick, big pieces of clams and very tasty. Also it was nice walked right up, ordered it and it was handed to me. Entire transaction was under 2 minutes!!

Google
Stopped in for a quick lunch. Servers are friendly and food was ready quickly. Tasty clam chowder and excellent fried clams. Onion rings were not my favorite, the coating kept falling off. Picnic seating had plenty of shade. We would come again.

Yelp
Loved this place! I spent my day biking the Cape Cod Rail Trail and used Cobie's as my lunch stopping point. What a great choice! There were plenty of other bikers there (as well as locals and vacationers), so I figured it must be a good spot. It's one of those classic counter style seafood spots, with plenty of outdoor seating. Even with the long line, my food was ready pretty quickly. The restaurant had an ice cream counter, but I just stuck to the seafood. I went with half fried shrimp and half fried clam strips with fries. Lots of fried food! I preferred the shrimp over the clam strips because I found them to be a bit too breaded, but that's common. I would for sure come back again. Only thing that could have been better would have been if the restaurant was on the water!

Yelp
Your experience definitely depends on what you order. I got the lobster bisque and it had a weird taste to it, almost like they put wine in it but didn't cook off the alcohol. The fish and chips was underwhelming according to my dad. The clam chowder, on the other hand, tasted fantastic and the lobster corn salad was very fresh and tasty.

Yelp
Pictures look better than what it actually was. We stopped at Cobie's on our first night of vacation hoping for some fresh seafood. I had the cold lobster roll and was really disappointed. The lobster meat was mushy, didn't have much taste and was not fresh. It was borderline questionable to eat. I also got a bowl of the lobster bisque. Something was off about it and it almost had a chemical taste. I couldn't finish the bowl. My wife opted to not get seafood and went with the veggie burger. She said it wasn't horrible, but tasted like a frozen pre-made store burger. We got the corn salad side and it was really good and tasted fresh. We had ice cream for dessert and it was really good.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and was disappointed. We ordered the salmon burger which didn't taste great, is it frozen?!? My haha 'em ordered the cold lobster roll and the lobster was a very strange texture and consistent, as if it was past its prime. We ordered grilled fish entree for our son which was cod and was good. Pros- very nice staff, plenty of outdoor seating, we didn't have to wait long to order, and the food came out quickly. We then ordered ice cream which was good -- separate window and cash only.

Yelp
Heard about this place from a friend who lives in the area, so we decided to stop by and have lunch. Food was pretty good, service at the window was excellent, friendly and very accommodating with our questions. While there are no 2 piece combos listed on the menu, you could actually order what you would like as a combination plate. My wife got the shrimps and scallops with a baked potato and I the whole belly clams with scallops and fries. I asked for a side of onion rings but there was some confusion and they just added some to my wife's plate. Either way prices were reasonable, outdoor tables were clean, restrooms were clean as well.

Yelp
Creamy dreamy ice cream. Satisfying chocolate and vanilla swirl. The regular size was a rather phat portion and could have been cut in half to feed two people. Cash only business! There's secret and ample parking in the rear. One of the grossest trashcans I've ever seen in my life is available for your use if you dare touch it. Sometimes I think back to my trip to Italy and how small and cheap the servings of ice cream were. I wish this place would adopt a $1.50 mini soft serve cone option.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
Great roadside seafood stop! Lots of options for food / drinks. Service was quick even though it was busy. Ice cream half of business is cash only (even tho seafood side can take card) which can be frustrating but they do have an ATM as needed. Ice cream cones are BIG portions but delicious soft serve
google avatar

Yelp
In town with friends. We decided to head here for a casual dinner. Plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly staff. We got fish n chips, swordfish sandwich and a fish sandwich all of which was delicious. Afterwards we took part in ice cream. I totally recommend trying "s'mores"....so good!!!!!

Yelp
A tradition like no other. It's not Summer until Cobie's opens and when it does, it never disappoints. Fresh, quality food., great daily specials and a fantastic team. The ice cream is a bonus after a delicious meal. Thank you for being a part of our Summer memories.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Their soft serve is amazing, they give you large portions of soft serve on your cone. They also have dogs you can add to your soft serve. Cobbie's is definitely soully a soft serve place, and if your want hard ice cream I suggest just going to The Brewster scoop. The seating is outdoors, so it would sometimes get buggy, but I think they're started spraying for bugs because I haven't seen any yet this summer there. The service is also amazing: the workers are really really kind.

Yelp
Amazing food for great prices! We stopped by around 3pm on a Monday and there were a good deal of people there. We ordered the regular lobster roll (with mayo) for $18.95 with a piece of lettuce and the hot lobster roll with butter for $19.95, all on a toasted bun. Each came with a tiny bag of cape cod chips. Each bite had enough lobster pieces and was delicious. Seating - all the seating is outdoor picnic tables. Some are covered, either by a roof or umbrella and there are some in the sun. Parking - there is a lot of parking here, some up front and then some in the back.

Yelp
Just ordered via phone my early in summer whole belly clams. Cobie's had great specials today, including swordfish. But it was June 2022 clam night for me on my own deck. Very good. This is a classic clam shack. Everything is expensive this summer but Cobie's prices are better than some others. Plus service with many smiles. Thanks!
google avatar

Yana L.

Yelp
Do not make the assumption that this is just another fried food shack! While there are the basic options of fish and chips and fried treats, they also serve baked or grilled fish and their swordfish and corn salad would not be out of place in a fancy date night restaurant. They also have cool and yummy creative foods such as bao buns and fish tacos. They also have sweet potato fries. The chowder was absolutely delicious as well. Definitely worth a visit while in Brewster !

Mary T.

Yelp
Lobster roll was fresh and tasty, but the roll was untoasted (which left it soggy). Had clam chowder and cole slaw as well. Food is good. Service was friendly. Roadside restaurant with some outdoor seating.
google avatar

Fahim R.

Yelp
Stopped by here for lunch with the family while biking the cape cod rail trail. I assumed it was the typical beach shack with just fried food. I had a delicious platter of fresh fish and corn salad. Prices were reasonable for the cape, Food was ready quickly. Would definitely eat here again.

D T.

Yelp
Hands down, best soft serve we found. Rich and creamy. Stick to chocolate and vanilla unless you want sugary syrup for the flavored ice creams. Tried "mocha" and they took vanilla and added a couple of pumps of flavored syrup and blended. Was ok. Went back to the tried and true vanilla/choco twist. Prices are reasonable for the size.

Will W.

Yelp
Got the shrimp platter and was very impressed. Very lightly battered and fried that was delicious and filling - nice amount of outdoor seating as well, will likely be coming back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
We were on a clam strips and clam chowder kick during our time on the Cape and tried a whole lotta places up and down but Cobie's clam strips were truly everything and thicc (yes, with 2 cc's). The portions were huge and the prices were just right. You could order food for two people and have a plenty of leftovers. We ordered the clam strips basket, fish & chips, clam chowder and of course, ice cream. The place is generally poppin' with people driving in or biking over but the service is great and there's plenty of seating for you and your friends and family to enjoy a good meal and top it off with some delicious ice cream or a shake. Looking forward to hitting up Cobie's again next summer.

Ann M.

Yelp
Food mediocre. Lobster roll just lobster meat (no mayo or seasoning) on a piece of lettuce on an ungrilled hotdog roll. Fries cold.High prices. Go elsewhere.

Wm P.

Yelp
Great summer food! Easy to get to, always prompt and polite service. Priced reasonably. It hasn't been there for so long without good reason. Always looking forward to next summer to go back.

Yelp
We had a few lobster rolls from diff places while visiting Cape Cod and this place had one of the more tasty lobster rolls we've tried. Also ordered the crabmeat roll for 14.99 but didn't not taste as good.
google avatar

Brittany K.

Yelp
Clam strip plate (fries, cole slaw) was delicious, hot, and huge. Cape Cod Reuben is also fantastic. A+!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been coming to Cobie's for over a decade and look forward to it every summer I'm in the Cape. Seafood shacks dot the Cape with varying degrees of success, but Cobie's does it right, hitting the intersection of variety, quality and price. You can find classic fried clams and fish dishes as well as lobster rolls (mostly knuckle meat), burgers & dogs, salads, plus ice creams (wide selection of hard and soft serve). We've done direct taste tests versus other area seafood (Kate's and JT's) and I've always picked Cobie's as the clear winner.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped in quickly to get some fried clam strips to go. They were amazing! Really crispy and fresh. Never disappointed there! I love Cobies! Everything is amazing.

Yelp
Passed Cobies the other night just going for a drive while visiting the cape. The next day we were driving around and came up to cobies again so we decided to stop and I'm glad we did. Everyone raves about Arnold's, it's not terrible but it's honestly just a tourist trap and the prices are high. Cobies is the opposite and the food is much better. My wife got the lobster roll. Being disappointed at the lobster roll she got from Arnold's a few days before she raves about cobie's which had flavor and seasoning. Also came with a bag of cape cod chips. I got the clam strip platter that came with fries and coleslaw, they were great. Where Arnold's seemed to be very greasy, Cobie's wasn't at all and they were cooked perfectly and came with fries. My son even ate them and liked them and he doesn't usually eat seafood. My son had chicken nuggets and fries. Chicken nuggets were similar to McDonald's but my son seemed to like them. We noticed they had ice cream as well and something I haven't seen in years. Ice cream in little baseball helmets. Even though we were a bit stuffed from our food we got the baseball cap sundaes which were actually a perfect size and they were really good. I believe they get their ice cream from Maine but who cares, it was really good. Hopefully we'll make one last stop here before our way back home. Best place we ate at on our vacation.

Yelp
Stopped in here while biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Their Fisherman's Platter and clam chowder are super yummy! Will definitely go back the next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
One of our favorite places for deep fried seafood on the Cape! Super convenient off of the bike trail (mile 10.3 marker)
google avatar

Monica B.

Yelp
They always seem to be busy I guess it's a good thing however during social distancing times it creates a lot of anxiety when you see a lot of people waiting outside too close to each other. I wish the extra tables they have in the back will have some shade and maybe more distance between the tables. Tuna wrap was too small I wish I took a picture of it next to a penny so you can realize how small it was , pretty much everyone in my family was unhappy with the size of their lunch. I want to give them another try because the service was really nice.
google avatar

Meredith P.

Yelp
One of the best lobster rolls I've had and definitely the most reasonably priced! This fun outdoor spot is the perfect location for a quick summer seafood fix!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm just getting to these reviews but we went to Cobies in the beginning of July. My date was looking for fried whole belly clams and that's always been a good spot for them. You order, get your buzzer and go find a picnic table. Simple and straight forward. (Staff is nice) - We both ended up getting clam strip plates and a soda. It was delicious, definitely hit the spot. They had the clams we just decided on strips. Then back up to the other line for Ice cream, because they have tons of flavors you have to get it to. It was a perfect date night and not overly busy when we were there (early July). We enjoyed our annual stop at this little gem.

Yelp
Years ago, I wasn't a fan.... But ever since I went back, I think the food is great. If you haven't been there in a while, go back. DELICIOUS!!! I recommend it. Fried scallops are excellent !

Mike D.

Yelp
Great place to stop for lunch or dinner after the beach. Fish and chips, seafood platter and crab cakes were fantastic. Even burgee were good. Outside seating.

Yelp
We stopped at Cobie's for a lunch snack on the way to the nearby Nickerson State Park. It's been around since 1948 and remains a popular seafood shack in this area, so of course we had to order a cheeseburger. But hey, we also had a lobster roll, clam roll and fries. The burger was pretty good, and we liked the tasty, fresh clams. The lobster seemed kind of smallish for the price, and while the meat was good and fresh, there just wasn't a lot of it on the non-toasted bun. We weren't really impressed. There's a separate window (cash only) for ice cream, but credit cards are accepted for meals. The outside seating areas are tables under umbrellas, and it's fun to relax and watch everyone else while you eat. Nice place.

Lex D.

Yelp
Pretty good claim strip roll and onion rings. I wish I got to try the ice cream! Staff was super friendly. Lots of good seating including spots in the shade.
google avatar

Arnie S.

Yelp
How this establishment has been rated as a 4 star eatery is beyond me. On the positive side, the outside seating and parking is plentiful. The prices are more than fair. That's about it. The person that took my order was distracted and unfocused. The time it took to prepare the food was fair, and for the ice cream, very poor. I chose to take out, and several errors were made. No tarter sauce was included. No salad dressing was to be found. Finally, no butter or sour cream was in my bag for the ordered baked potato. A product leaked through the provided bag. Now for the quality of the food. The shakes were not sufficiently mixed. The fried scallops; the worst eaten on the Cape. Why would you waste your money here? There are so many other fine choices. Don't do it!

Greg J.

Yelp
The quintessential Cape Cod clam place. Best fried clams on mid Cape. Very extensive menu and drinks. Right on the Rail Train also!!
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
Amazing food and atmosphere! Great kids menu and separate ice cream stand! Would give 5 stars except they use styrofoam unfortunately. Adorable spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Cobies is the one of the best roadside Seafood places on the Cape! Great food and ice cream. Outdoor seating is great. Nice people working there. Right off 6A, a definite destination for the a real Cape Cod seafood experience. Recommend Fish and Chips! Lobster Roll!
google avatar

Marty M.

Yelp
We have eaten here many times. Sometimes for ice cream dessert and other times for lunch. Seafood platter is delicious! The fish and chips is fresh!

Michael F.

Yelp
Good chowder, fast easy takeout, easy in and out. Friendly staff. Gets lots of tourists and locals. Fair prices. Always a consistent choice.
google avatar

Olivia W.

Yelp
Cute stop off the main road with outdoor picnic seating during COVID. I appreciated that they have hot lobster rolls, which are apparently hard to find in the Cape... Service was quick and friendly, I really like that there's separate lines for food and ice cream to keep turnover fast. Overall Cobie's is a great lunch spot.
google avatar

Nathan G.

Yelp
I wish I had taken pictures to back up this review. I used to love Cobie's While I haven't been in about 2 years I figured it was about time. My friend came down to visit my family and I on our annual trip. It was his very first time this far down on the Cape. I figured this would be a perfect place to take him. It's always been good in the past. I was dead wrong. We ordered a lobster roll, a box of whole belly clams, and onion rings. The lobster roll was minuscule, the box of clams had 3 whole clams, and the rest were just strips. Overcooked too. Thankfully the onion rings were great and the only thing really enjoyed. I can't recommend this place anymore. It's sad because I had one day to give my bud a great Cape experience and you guys had us both leaving mad. Please get it together.
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and love this place for both no frills seafood and ice cream. Their Coffee Heath Bar ice cream is amazing, and I highly recommend the fried clams, onion rings and hot lobster roll. Friendly and prompt service for a very reasonable price. Definitely check it out for lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Best food and ice cream on the Cape! Our family went every day of our week long vacation and loved the ice cream and food. They had excellent service and we absolutely loved it!

Julie R.

Yelp
Delicious fried Clam Strips with generous portions. We consider fried clams a Cape Cod tradition and will definitely be back for seconds. Dining is very informal, take out or dine at the picnic tables in open shelters. No worries for the sun sensitive like me.
google avatar

Bradley A.

Yelp
So, for some reason, right down the street is a little place call JTs Seafood or something like that and it has higher reviews. Well, they dont know what they are talking about. The quality and service far surpass JTs at this gem. The food was fantastic. Now THIS is the food I was expecting in the Cape. MUST try, especially before or in place of JTs.

Peggy P.

Yelp
Great for quick & delicious sea food & burgers, fries as well many ice cream choices.. Convenient to the bike trail.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
So happy to have gotten to visit again for the third summer in a row! Cobie's is consistently otherworldly. As said before, hands down the best fried clams on the Cape - make that the world. And Pam was again amazing enough to make me my Lobster Bao Bao - never get tired of it. Thank you Pam! Love you guys.
google avatar

Emilia G.

Yelp
One of my favorite parts about staying in Brewster every year! Fresh and delicious food at great prices. We had the lobster roll (cold) that had mounds of lobster without any "fluff" or "filler" that some places have. The clam strip plate that was light and not at all chewy! And lastly the whole belly clam roll. Three drinks and we were out of there for only $55! Will be back this week at least once if not more :)
