Cochin Club

There was a wedding there which we went for. Bathrooms are the pits! Dirty, absolutely unclean and no toilet paper and hand soap! And the toilet assigned was so so far away they if you have mobility issue, it just doesn’t work!!!! The security I charge today was rude and completely unhelpful even if you are a member of the club!!! What a low grade venue and facilities.

In May 2025, I stayed here with family for 2 days as an affiliate club member. The structure has a nice old world, rustic and colonial charm since it was constructed in 1935. It overlooks a massive garden and the rooms are huge. It has a very well maintained pool which can be used by residents. The rooms are also decently maintained as compared to some of the other clubs. The location is unbeatable and bang next to Fort Kochi promenade. While you get a nice view of the sea from the property, there is no direct access. You need to do a short 5 minute walk along some heritage structures such as St. Francis CSI church to access the promenade. Probably because there is no bar within the premises, the club doesn't have frequent visitors, which enhances the privacy if you are staying there. The club only serves breakfast and there is no lunch or dinner available. On both the days, the set menu breakfast was delicious. In any event, Fort Paragon and French Toast are right next door (which btw sit on the club's land) to take care of your hunger needs. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

This place is in the heart of Fort Kochi. And I lived the way they decorated the place. Good place for a family function.

Our stay at the club was absolutely delightful. The location couldn’t be better, and the staff was incredibly polite and gentle, from the watchman to the bellboy and the restaurant team. Although it was just a one-day stay, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. A standout moment was when we returned after dinner to heavy rain—it was pouring cats and dogs. Parking the car and getting to our rooms seemed impossible, but the watchman went above and beyond. He brought umbrellas for all of us and ensured we reached our rooms safely. Such thoughtful gestures truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommend this place!

We were a large family group who were treated wonderfully over the four days we spent there. The facilities were not all in place but those that were we enjoyed immensely, not least the swimming pool and the breakfasts. The rooms and the clubhouse give a wonderful sense of life in the Raj.

This club is a private haven for many locals in fort kochi. Access is restricted to members and their guests. We went here for lunch as our host is an old member. I loved the building instantly. It’s a really old club with a legacy that’s old too. But with sparse membership over the years the club has perhaps lost its old charm. The space is maintained well though. The restaurant has limited food options that have to be ordered in advance. The view from the dining and bar area are really good. It’s right on the beach and pretty much at the center of the everything.

Good location and a very large space. Did not stay so cannot comment on the quality of rooms. Not many visitors so the kitchen can only offer very basic sandwiches on weekday. They do not have a bar license so you cannot get a drink... Little disappointing.

As an earlier reviewer said this is a rare find an old world club with modern facilities.The rooms are really suites and are very quiet despite the location. To avoid mosquitoes keep your room door closed all the time use the very good new ac and use chemical pads I did this and after one day I had no more mosquitoes.|Good range of tv channels in modern cable system many in English.|They provide bottle water and coke in your fridge and you can ask for towels or room cleaning when you want.|Ivor the GM is a great guy and was most helpful both in advance and during my stay.|You can buy add ons to the basic breakfast such as fruit plate etc ask for the list.newspapers are available.|They have a new pool and the club is very quiet all the time.|Of the 2 main restaurants I used the Drawing Room a lot Sharad the owner provided a great welcome each day and I met interesting people there.|Uber is a good option and it’s local rival Ola if you need transport.|The local ferry to marine drive is about 15 minuets walk away and you get a sea cruise for 7 rupees.|They hope to have an alcohol license in April which will allow the lovely old bar to come alive again.
