Charming and affordable, this vintage hotel near the Royal Palace offers simple, bright rooms with handy kitchenettes, all just a stroll from the city buzz.
The staff were very friendly and interactions were good despite not being able to speak Norwegian. The building was also a nice building with decent security with key cards needed in the stairwell and a lift was available if needed. The building was a little hot but the facilities such as the bathroom were adequate for the price. Signing out was also easy.

I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom and toilet.
The furniture and bathrooms may look a little old and worn but everything was very clean and functional. I never had a problem waiting for the communal toilets or showers. The sink and mirror in the room were very practical for getting ready in the morning in private.
I met several different people at reception and they were all perfect, smiling and ready to help.
It's a 10 or 15 minute walk from the city centre but quite pleasant as it's right next to the royal palace. From the train station with luggage, you have to take the bus anyway but it's very well served and easy.
The only negative point is that the windows are not soundproof at all. We could hear all the noise from the street, which is quite noisy. I used earplugs and was able to sleep peacefully otherwise.

Excellent location close to tram routes, visit sites, restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel is a bit old and congested, toilet space is limited, averagely clean, but barely acceptable, especially at a reasonable rental level. Appreciated staff's helpful attitude who always show patience and willingness to offer assistance.

A true gem! Rooms are spacious and some, like mine, have a small fridge, stove and microwave. Great location in an upscale neighborhood a short distance by foot or tram from central Oslo. Superb service from the staff at this family business.

Good value for the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location (near the lite rail). Safe location as well. We are a family of five. They had an extra bed waiting on us in the room (nice touch). Just be aware that if arriving by car, there really is no parking. Neighborhood has places to grab food within walking distance.

Room was functional. Staff friendly and helpful. Location at far side of palace park from most attractions but pleasant walk and easy access to transport, restaurants nearby. Historic building decently maintained, but room itself charmless and dreary. Zero amenities beyond soap, tp, and a squeegee to deal with inevitable shower overflow. One rough towel and the “mattress” was just a pad. I actually slept ok on it and despite my room being noisy (near elevator on one side and construction site on the other). More like a hostel than a hotel. Budget price but still less than expected.

Great (relatively) inexpensive place to stay for a solo trip to Oslo! I am very happy with my accommodations. I did the premium single room with shared bathroom (so the bathroom was shared with only one other person). The space was clean and safe, and the location was great. The staff were friendly. Breakfast is not included but there is a free coffee machine.

Really good spot for the city break. Prices are affordable for non Scandinavians 😀 location is great, you can take a 10k walk around the city and you’ll visit 80% of the things you might be interested to see. There is also a nice underground parking 10minut walk from the hotel with good price (I do not recommend the one just next to the hotel, it’s just too expensive even with the hotel discount)
WiFi worked great, room was clean as well as the bathroom. If you need to use more then one electric outlet then bring your own electric splitter as there is just one for each bed (two if you disconnect lamp).
We didn’t eat breakfast there so I cannot say anything.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will recommend this place to you:)
