Highly recommend, comfortable stay, great staff and well located close to The Royal Palace. Spacious well-equipped rooms, even some with fridge and kitchenette. Free coffee machine in lobby which was greatly appreciated. Only couple of minor issues I had were the location of power sockets in the room (they are hidden in corners and have to search for them), and the showerhead was a bit too high pressure - felt almost like a garden hose instead of a shower.

Nice location but rooms felt so dirty. The towels weren't washed well and some had brown stains on them, I dont think they washed the curtains once and I wasn't comfortably to touch them. They had fridge and free coffee machine. It wasn't loud at night. Easy to walk everywhere

Very comfortable basic rooms. I stayed in the standard small room with a bathroom. Very clean and really comfortable bed. Staff was really helpful and pleasant. Great neighborhood and easy access to the metro and tram lines. An excellent deal.

Would definitely recommend staying here. The staff were so wonderful and they upgraded me to a larger room. ||The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds very soft and good, top tv and wifi with many tv channels to choose from. ||Very great location with lots of shops and the Norwegian Royal Palace just a few minutes to walk. If you want to eat nearby, you get a discount at Espresso House when you stay at Cochs. Thanks for a great stay!

The pension or rather hostel is located very conveniently and it’s clean. And these are the only good things. The rooms are old and worn out. Bathroom is a joke. Closest nearby parking is 500 NOK per day, the other one is 250 NOK. Next time I’ll stay in a cabin / hut outside of Oslo and will drive into the city as you have to pay for the parking anyway.

I was initially concerned about not having an en suite bathroom, but the WCs and showers were clean and close at hand. Any small inconvenience was more than taken into account in the price and location. The Pension is in a handy location for the Royal Palace, which is across the road in a beautiful park. We were able to walk to the History Museum and the National Theatre, and to find economical restaurants a short distance away. The staff were helpful and polite, and there is free coffee! The Oslo bus and tram system is excellent, and we travelled about with no difficulty.

The staff were very friendly and interactions were good despite not being able to speak Norwegian. The building was also a nice building with decent security with key cards needed in the stairwell and a lift was available if needed. The building was a little hot but the facilities such as the bathroom were adequate for the price. Signing out was also easy.

I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom and toilet. The furniture and bathrooms may look a little old and worn but everything was very clean and functional. I never had a problem waiting for the communal toilets or showers. The sink and mirror in the room were very practical for getting ready in the morning in private. I met several different people at reception and they were all perfect, smiling and ready to help. It's a 10 or 15 minute walk from the city centre but quite pleasant as it's right next to the royal palace. From the train station with luggage, you have to take the bus anyway but it's very well served and easy. The only negative point is that the windows are not soundproof at all. We could hear all the noise from the street, which is quite noisy. I used earplugs and was able to sleep peacefully otherwise.
