I visited here for the first time and was so delighted by my experience. The space was very clean and inviting, the treats look very enticing. But I was really Impressed with the service! The lady there was very friendly and explained to me about the different varieties that they offer. I purchased a plum tart a small pumpkin pie and a Tahini cookie. so far I really enjoyed the plum tart it does not feel unhealthy It's not overly sweet and the crust is nice and Crisp. I can't wait to go and Try the other things that I purchased I will definitely return.

I highly recommend this place! This gluten-free bakery is my top favorite. Since I tried the muffins, scone and lemon bar, I’ve been coming back every Saturday. They only open on Wednesday and Saturday which I get really excited to come back every week to try new items. I’ve been here three times so far and none of them got me disappointed. It’s hard to say which one is the best but my favorite so far is the raspberry chocolate cake and plum honey muffin. Their muffins are so fluffy, and have just enough amount of sweetness. The brownie here is also one of my secret favorite. I’m not a big fun of brownies, but the one they have is not too heavy and sweet, it’s very light. I can’t believe that all the products are also dairy, soy and corn free. The owner is a very kind and sweet person. It’s one of the reasons I love to come back to support their business. They also have frozen stuff and fresh sourdough bread. Once I complete their baked goods, I will definitely try their bread and some of the frozen items.

There is a high degree of excellence packed into this tidy unpretentious bakery. They have a wonderful selection of both sweet and savoury items and their frozen offerings are a delight too. My chocolate cupcake was moist and rich, my sandwich was so appetizing, I had to take a picture! I haven't yet tried the other things that I brought home, but they smell really good! A very welcoming place. Thank you! Highly recommend!

My absolute favourite gluten-free bakery. The quality is always fresh and rich, and the aroma alone is enough to draw you in from outside. Every visit feels like a little trip back to Europe. Whenever I want to treat myself, this is the bakery that truly makes my day. My favourites so far have been the plum tart and baklava bar, but I suggest trying everything—you won’t be disappointed. I even get excited when I see other spots carrying their frozen products, because I know I can always trust their breads. A perfect choice for anyone, whether or not you have any dietary restrictions.

So good! Yesterday evening was the first time I was able to go to bakeshop. I'm rarely in the area and this was the first time I was there during the bakeshop's opening hours. So, I made it a point to go. And oh, my. I'm so glad it finally happened! The atmosphere itself is charming and the gentleman at the counter (maybe the baker too? I should have asked. Next time!) was warm and welcoming. Everything looked so tempting. And they had a great variety of vegan options (which is what I sought). While it was tempting to just get one of everythin I went with a dill pickle scone and a plum tart/pie. And the wonderful gentleman generously threw in a baklava bar in for me to try. The scone was just delicious and perfectly textured. The pie/tart was just sweet enough with the tang of the plums shining through. No sickly sweet tart here! I'm yet to try the bar but it's bound to be as scrumptious. Overall, I loved everything about the bakeshop. From the fresh baked quality goodies to the wonderful service (Thank you, sir, for your warmth and friendliness and talented baking!) to the utterly cozy and charming feel of the shop. More goodies (including breads, which I didn't have the space to carry with me yesterday) to try next time! A must visit anytime I'm in the area!

Recently had to alter my diet to be gluten free and was devastated to lose bread……until I learned of Cock a doodle doo. This bread is fantastic and I’m delighted to have toast back in my life. Also the last time I was there I was gifted a baguette. Wow!!! It was phenomenal. Great service and lovely space.

One of my children have Celiac so I was very happy to find this bakery. The service was superb and since I live far, I bought over $100 worth of gluten free treats for my kids. Everything was super delicious and gone in one evening! The brownies and cookies were to die for!

We stopped by here a few weekends ago and had a really great experience. The owner is so nice and we loved the desserts. The desserts were all dairy and gluten free. We tried the chocolate cake, brownie, sour dough bread, lemon dessert, and the berry tart. The Chocolate Cake: 5 stars The chocolate cake was delicious. It was moist and tender and perfect. It was rich and exactly what I was craving. I would definitely buy this again. The Brownie: 3 stars I found the brownie a bit dry and not rich enough to satisfy my craving. I thought it was just ok but the chocolate cake definitely made up for this. If you want something less sweet I'd choose the brownie but if you want something richer I'd choose the cake. The Sour Dough Bread: 5 stars The sour dough bread was amazing. It was very fresh and had perfect texture and flavour. The crust was crispy and the middle was soft and tore apart perfectly. We each tried a slice but I would definitely go back and buy a loaf. The bread would be great in a sandwich or in French toast or anything else. We will definitely buy a loaf next time we are in the area. The Lemon Dessert: 5 stars The lemon dessert tasted just like pie. It was absolutely delicious and perfect. I would definitely order this again. The Raspberry Scone: 5 Stars The raspberry scone was fantastic. This was actually one of my favourite desserts. It has the perfect amount of raspberry ganache to compliment the crust. I would definitely buy this again too. All over we had a wonderful experience buying baked goods from this bakery. The owner was super sweet and threw in a few goodies for free since it was our first time visiting his store. We would definitely go back. Thank you for all of the wonderful treats.

Best gluten-free bread in Toronto! Also, delicious pastries and mini pizzas. My naturopath recommended Cock-A-Doodle-Doo for gluten-free bread and they did not disappoint. I grew up in Europe and absolutely love bread, so I was really worried that I won't be able to enjoy one of my favorite foods if I can't have gluten. Not an issue with Cock-A-Doodle-Doo'd sourdough! I've been getting it regularly - I get two loaves, eat one fresh for the week and freeze one for later - and it's perfect. It tastes great, it's fluffy, it's crunchy.. all the right things. And, it's makes great sandwiches. The only caveat is that it sells out, so call or email ahead to reserve a loaf! I've also tried the mini pizzas, the quiche (has eggs), and different pastries and they're all fantastic and most importantly, they don't really have that tired "vegan" taste. Thank god! Last but not least, the owners are very kind!

I arrived in Toronto yesterday for a few days and this place is close to my airbnb and I went twice already. The owner is so very nice and everything looks good and so far everything I've tried was amazing. I love plums so the plum tart and the plum/honey cake went straight to my heart and honestly they taste divine!!! I can only go back once before leaving the city but I can't rave enough about this amazing place. It looks as good as it tastes!!!

The cookie was hard like rock.. Tasted a little bit below average(maybe because the recipe was healthy so the taste was not as good) The good side-they have gluten free bread The fougasee is good.

Disappointed. I've been here before and tried the plum and pear tarts, and I absolutely loved them. I remember not being too big a fan of the customer service though, which caused my reluctance to return. After seeing more reviews here and on Google, I decided to go to try the bread-- the place I get my favourite GF bread from is in St. Catharines, so a place closer to home would be convenient. Upon entering the store, I wasn't greeted at all. I then mentioned in a friendly, light manner that the pear tarts is why I came and it's too bad there's no more. The response from the person at the counter? "Yeah they're sold out." Well, yes-- I'm aware of that. Moving on...I got the berry galette and a mini multi seed loaf. The galette was disappointing- the crust was overpoweringly coconutty and the berries were hardly cooked- the flavours didn't mix too well together. The loaf was extremely dense and heavy- I cut a slice and it was so doughy and chewy that I decided against a sandwich. A few hours after purchasing, the bread tastes stale and is crumbly. Two stars for the flaky tarts I had the first time I visited. Three stars lost for disappointing food and nonexistent customer service. Many have noted that the service is great- I'm not sure why I wasn't treated this way. My advice? Head a few blocks up or head on the subway to Spadina and get to Harbord and go to Almond Butterfly- where everything actually tastes good and the delicious food is matched with friendly, informative customer service.

YUM!!!! Cutest place ever. We happened upon it by accident and fell in love. I got an olive oil focaccia bread and a lough on rye-inspired bread - BOTH DELICIOUS, light fluffy amazing. Everything gluten free, loads vegan. Mushroom tart, cupcakes, pizza, bread, and MORE.

I'm sorry, but when you put four cupcakes with cream and berries on top into a box together, you'll need to glue them down. Because if you don't, they will slide around, fall over and smush into each other at the slightest hint of movement, which is exactly what happened in my case.

Go! If you want authentic and real whole food ingredients this is the spot! Whether you're gluten free, vegan or not. You won't be disappointed! I've had the bread, cookies and muffins of all sorts and all are delish! The owners are a fabulous and very friendly couple who really take the time with their customers. Stop in and see what I mean. :)

I tried their sourdough bread, chocolate chip cookie and the pear flaky pie. The pie was really tasty, not too sweet and flaky as promised. The sourdough bread tasted exactly like a regular sourdough bread. Very soft and moist in the inside. Would definitely go back to get more of these 2 items. I was not a fan of their chocolate chip cookie - it was a little too dense and not enough chocolate chips. Overall a great gf bakery with friendly service.

Amazing! These guys have really hit their stride. The rye-less rye loaf is superb, as are the pizzas, fougasse, and mushroom tarts. And the new lemon cake. Good lord!

I'm not a vegan, but when I went to buy Birthday dessert for one, I didn't feel I was missing any butter or dairy, sacrificing texture, taste or mouth feel when eating their chocolate coconut cupcakes or flaky pear tart! That definitely wasn't the case when I purchased vegan desserts at another top rated vegan bake shop. I'm glad I found this place doing an online search. They're a gluten free bakery & pastry shop with vegan options, and they use unrefined sweeteners in a very refined way. You just don't taste a touch of sweetness, but also a touch of salt and other flavourings. Their creations are also beautiful and the service is wonderful. I'm a return customer not just to accommodate my vegan guest, but to indulge in my own sweet tooth for European style country pastries.

Incredibly delicious food and impeccable service! I catered a bridal shower with all gluten free and vegan food from Cockadoodle doo and it was such a success! Everybody loved all of it, especially the vegan pizzas and the berry galettes! The fougasse was delicious as well. I could not have been more happy with the turn out and will definitely be returning to Cockadoodle doo in the future! Highly recommend.

Um, this place is delicious. I wouldn't have been able to tell it was gluten free if I wasn't told. The bread loaves are sooo good.

Tried the gluten-free muffins and they were nothing short of AMAZING! I would've liked to have taken a picture for the review but I demolished them in minutes! Can't wait to try their other baked goods, which are all gluten and soy-free.

The clean simplicity of this bake shop speaks volumes to the wonderful, authentic taste of the gluten free sour dough. I never though gluten free bread could taste like my great- grandma's, from scratch, sourdough. What an amazing surprise. I have tried most of the muffins and three of the breads. If you are looking for the flavour and texture of real bread, and you want your body to feel terrific after eating, then this is the place for you. For me real bread has always been the style my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother would make. Now I have found it gluten free!

Everything here is not only beautiful to look at, but it's delicious as well! When I first found this place I couldn't believe that the entire shop was gluten free. Plus they have lots of vegan options as well so it's such a great place to bring friends with any dietary restrictions. The vegan sourdough is a staple in my pantry and I can't help but try a new pastry every time I go in- it all just looks so good! This place is such a gem. Definitely recommend!

There isn't one thing not to love about this place. Everything tastes amazing, reasonable prices and most important, very safe in my experience as a very symptomatic celiac. We always stop in there when we're in Toronto.

I love this place! The food is so delicious and well made. The shop itself is super adorable. The owner is a really nice guy and always offers samples. So glad this place opened up in the neighbourhood.
