Super funky relaxed spot for casual and delicious pizza with your friends or family. The ordering process left a lot to be desired. The staff was not aware of what was a nonalcoholic beer versus alcoholic what was no longer on tap but I think they were just new? The ordering process was slow, but the food came out super quickly, and it was amazing! Awesome arcade games, and all kinds of board games. Would definitely recommend but could see where it might be a long wait at peak hours.

Year after year they offer the absolute best pizza for miles around! Cool retro store, with working arcades, interesting glass bottle sodas, and a beer menu.

I just got a slice to go. Two cheese and a pepperoni. They were delicious but nothing special. Maybe there made to order pizza is better? Nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly. The set up was really cool and old fashion in there however it was really hot in there with almost no AC on a 96 degree day with a full kitchen running. I get it’ll be warm but maybe a little cold air?

Excellent pizza, fast, and at a good price. Asteroids in the arcade and nice people behind the counter.

Love the nostalgic atmosphere. The hot shots were awesome. The Buffalo ranch pizza was more buffalo than ranch flavor. It was okay. The menu has so much to choose from. Some thing for everyone.

Amazing food, great staff. A little hesitant because Facebook said they were understaffed recently, like most restaurants due to covid which is understandable. My family was passing through on a New England road trip and decided to stop in. It was last minut, 20 minutes before closing, and they accommodated us with smiles. The food was wonderful!! My husband said the breakfast pizza was like a flavor explosion! The boneless wings and salads were great portion sizes! Thanks again for a great meal, wish we lived closer to dine on again!

An awesome spot in Bethel. They have fun decor inside and the food rocks. Lots of food choices to choose from and the wait isn't too terribly long. All the staff seem friendly and it's easy to order take out or dine in.

I'm a local resident and I usually like Cockadoodle. However, my experience on August 16th at 4:30 pm made me not want to go back. The blonde woman cashier was snippy and rude. She did not want to be there and let everyone know. The food was average. It's usually good. The woman at the register made it difficult to order. This establishment is only open 4 days a week. Please leave your attitude at home. Next time I want pizza I will go elsewhere.

Love this place! Always have the best experience when getting food here. You might have to wait longer than you're used to, but definitely worth the wait. Also, you're in Vermont, slow down and relax!

Solid pizza. Great crust. I ordered the School Street and it could be--dare I say--more greasy? Definitely fell on the sweeter side, so if you're more of a savory person I would recommend adding bacon or something. Some pizza places skip on the sauce. This is not one of them. Enjoyed the marinara. Very cute indoors. Can definitely envision enjoying a slice and a beer on a Saturday afternoon. Yum!

Grew up in NYC and have lived in VT for a while now..This is where you want to go for delicious pizza...Had the Pesto pizza and a regular pizza with red peppers and basil and they were without a doubt the best pizza I have had since moving to Vermont. Priced right, 3 sizes to choose from, friendly staff, a great beer selection and Bethel is a pretty cool town. Sorry it took so long to find this place.

We came here tonight and the wait for two pizzas was one hour due to the fact they had a number of phone orders to fill ahead of us. The decor was cute and the staff friendly. The pizzas (we had a medium all-cheese and a medium Mount Hungry) were tasty for our party of four. I would give it a higher rating but I found it a bit pricey (though maybe that's how things are in small town central Vermont) and the service slow. On a side note, I ordered a Rutland Red ale and it was tasty.

My wife and I ordered a "build your own" calzone and a Ben's Cobb Salad. Everything was good, but they are getting dinged one star for a couple of issues (and I'm actually being nice by only dinging them one star). Small issue #1: We would have preferred a Greek salad, but they oddly don't have Greek dressing for their Greek salad. So, we picked the Ben's Cobb Salad with ranch which was very good. Small issue #2: I asked for a fountain Pepsi. The machine was out of ice, out of Pepsi, and out of carbonation. After bringing that to their attention, I just switched to a bottled Pepsi. No real harm here, but they should pay more attention to their fountain drink machine. Moderate issue: The computer asks for a tip at the counter and we obliged with a 20% tip... Later we found out they only bring you your food and the rest is self service plus they expect you to bus your own table. I kind of felt ripped off by the 20% I left. This is a zero tip type of establishment. Sorry, if I'm getting my own drinks, my own refills, and bussing my own table I don't feel obliged to tip. Big issue: We ordered a calzone with Pepperoni, Onions, and Garlic. They were very generous on the toppings, which was very much appreciated on the pepperoni and the onions, but they overloaded the calzone with WAY too much garlic -- and by too much, I mean multiple tablespoons of minced garlic tossed into our Calzone. We ended up eating whole bites of almost nothing but garlic before we realized what they had done. I honestly should have sent the calzone back, but we didn't. We scraped clumps and clumps of garlic out of our calzone... DO NOT ask for Garlic on your calzone. Overall, I would return, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars today. They know how to bake a calzone. It actually would have been very good if not for them thinking we wanted to go hunt vampires for the next day and a half. The salad was good as well. The fountain drink issue - maybe it was a one-off. Overall good place... Just be warned about the garlic situation!

Solid spot to grab pizza and boneless wings. Stopped here for a 14 inch pizza (perfect size for 2 hungry people) and some boneless wings and it hit the spot. Pizza was cooked great with nice quality toppings. Wish they added a tad more sauce, but just my taste. Boneless wings reminded me of a Buffalo Wild Wings boneless wing but maybe slightly higher quality. Wing sauce was maybe a 2/10 heat but solid flavor as well. They were open for takeout only though so call your order in advance and check for updates as covid rolls on. Overall an easy repeat for me if I'm in the area.

I have tried this place three times lately and have been disappointed every time. Last time I went I was told the wait time was 20 minutes when I arrived 30 minutes later I was told it would be out in 10 more minutes. Now you can cook a pizza in 10 minutes so obviously they missed. After a cursory thanks for your patience I took it home. I must say the crust was very good and they would have a decent product if they put something on it. Very little cheese or ordered toppings. Even with the dearth of good pizza around here I doubt I shall return.

Sorry to echo what others have said about service. Simply terrible. Came in to pick up pre-ordered pizzas, and guy at counter simply ignored us. This is on a Saturday afternoon, place was not at all busy. Finally we asked for our order, got it, paid. "Thank You" never passed his lips. Nothing. I like the pizza, but the person working there was so rude, we'll go elsewhere.

Ordered for pickup, said about 20 minutes. Arrived about 30 minutes later and had to ask to be acknowledged at the register. Paid my bill, even gave a generous tip! And then, nothing! I might as well have been a ghost! Finally the unfriendly cashier said I would have my pizza's in 10 minutes. When they finally came out, they were already cold! I used to enjoy their pizza and friendly service, why has it all changed?

Seriously the best effing pizza I've had in Vermont. Been a few times and it never disappoints. The selection is dope and mad skills and love shine through in their food. Even the salads are amaze balls Keep it comin' cockadoods

Found this gem after a long day of tubing the White river. We tried the loaded tots and 2 of the specialty pizzas! Fell in love with the quirky decor and scattered nostalgic pieces. Despite the crazy dinner rush the staff remained pleasant and friendly. The tots were phenomenal and the pizza is now in our top 3! Wash it down with one of their tasty brew selections and you got yourself a perfect experience. I would definitely recommend this place

Went in with my service dog to order some food to go and the owner gave me a hard time and stated I had to have proper gear on my dog even though he had his proper identification on for working. Before I could get to the counter he said "no pets you need to leave" and when I stated that he is my service animal he started to argue with me and continued to ask questions legally I dont have to state that I have proper paperwork for my working service animal and I didn't appreciate being pestered. I really enjoy their food, but after that I wont be going there.

We got three pizzas, a calzone, and the loaded tater tots and everything was fantastic. The pizza was, in all honesty, some of the best we've had. Top three, for sure. Calzone was heavy on the cheese and quite good, and the tots were tater tots. I mean- they're tater tots. Hard to mess up. Wonderful service, fun atmosphere, and great food. Some craft beer and stuff that was pretty good, too. Highly recommended.

Ordered for pickup on a Friday night, so when the guy on the phone warned me it would be an hour wait, I happily agreed. Showed up at 50 minutes to take care of payment. Check-out guy was not remotely friendly, but it was 7:30 on a Friday night - I get it. Pizza was ready, but it was no longer hot - just sort of room temp. OK ... it happens. So I left for home. Pizza sat flat and it was a slow uneventful ride home. When I got home and opened the box, there was a baseball-sized hole in the middle, just off center, all the way through the crust to the paper. It looks like maybe it stuck to the oven and they ripped it with the spatula. Once again, I get it ... it happens. BUT, there is no way they didn't know it and it would have been nice for them to make another one (apparently they had time) or at least say something to me.

Great pizza, crust is bubbly and toasty, generous pie, fresh toppings and lots of options and salad was good too. Staff really nice as well, sweet place!

Seriously great pizza, great staff, and I highly recommend. Breakfast pizza is amazing here, and their Mt. Hunter pizza is good to. Best pizza joint for a good number of miles.

As a life long pizza lover, I cannot recommend Cockadoodle enough. Their crusts are on point, sauce is tangy with a touch of sweetness, cheese is gooey and salty with just the right stretch. Toppings are always fresh. Do. Not. Leave. Without. Ranch. I don't know what they put in their ranch dressing, but I want it in an IV bag directly into my bloodstream. Jalapeño poppers come on and off the menu, but jump on those too if they're available.

The pesto artichoke pizza was amazing and perfect. The doe was the best. The owner was kind, great cook. Try the chocolate chip cookies. The ambiance was great.

This used to be an incredible place to grab some food. Seems to be under new management. The food and service were pretty terrible, unfortunately.

Went in on a Wednesday at 11:30 and the place was pretty empty but they were ready for the lunch rush, if there is such a thing in Bethel. I wanted a slice or two. They had a cheese pie, roni pie, meat lover and veggie oil based sauce pie. I usually go for veggie but this one had eggplant on it so i went for straight cheese. I sat down in the relaxed dining room and a few mins later the man who took my order had my food ready. Pizza was tasty. My biggest complaint is, it was cold and kinda greasy, not a good combo. When you heat up a slice you need to heat it enough so the sauce is warm, otherwise it is not pleasing. Price was not bad, $8 for two cheese slices and a seltzer.

Great pizza and really fresh! A little on the pricier side - $33 for pizza and a house salad. The house salad was really fresh and the dressings were delish. The Goddess Pizza is awesome. We took off the olives and added ricotta. The ricotta didn't seem very fresh but everything else did. Good chunks of chicken. Crust was light and flavorful! Service was a tad slow.

The pizza was quite good! Not the best I've ever eaten, but still really good. And when they got my friend's order wrong, they offered to make him a new pizza and refund his money, which we didn't accept because it really wasn't a big deal, but we appreciated the excellent service.

Really great place. I had two awesome experiences here, and I don't want to mislead anyone because they were completely random, but I think they illustrate the type of place this is. Most recently, we ordered a large half mushroom, half sausage and peppers pizza. When I went up to the counter, I told the person my order, and they said half sausage, pepper and mushroom. I said, no, half mushroom, half sausage and pepper. They went to check it, came back and made the wrong pizza by accident. Even though it was pretty busy, they said they would make the new one in ten minutes, and they did. It was no problem, and it was nice to sit in there in the warmth of the place with all the nicknacks around, not crapnacks like at TGI Fridays, but interesting beer things around the place. A lot of families were in there. It had the feeling like anyone is welcome, lots of friends around. Another time, Kiki and I went to Babe's Bar, and on the way out I was looking in the window to see a menu. It turned out the workers, maybe the owners, were still there sitting at the table that lines the window, and they were looking right at me. I didn't realize right away that I was only a couple feet away from them separated by glass, and I felt a little like a weirdo, but a person came over and offered me some slices even though they were closed. It was amazing because the slices really hit the spot. I would recommend this place to anyone. The pizza itself has a doughy chewy crust. It's very bready. It kind of reminds me of some places in New York City, in some ways like dollar slice places and other ways like a neighborhood place in Brooklyn that I went to once, not a fancy place, but a normal, neighborhood place. The slices are substantial and the pizza was just as good the second day. Nice cheese, nice herbs. Nothing too special flavor-wise, but nothing off-putting. Go and see for yourself.

I live in Bethel and I love swinging by Cockadoodle on my way home from work and picking up a pizza but after last night I had to yelp here. The service is friendly and the pizzas have a lot of potential but here's the issue I keep running into. They are hit and miss simply because every other pizza I get is overcooked. The crust is dark brown and it ends up ruining the yummy toppings and it's like eating cardboard. After forking up all that money and getting excited to eat a pizza only to have this experience on more than one occasion is the reason for my taking the time to write this in hopes that they will read this and monitor better their production. I have had some DELICIOUS pizzas there so I keep trying because I want to support this business and enjoy their food. Here's hoping they see this, maybe even reply and up the consistency of their pizza! I'm not giving up!!

This was an AMAZING find on our way to Burlington VT. what was an old country store turned into a pizza place. Pizza was delicious but the fun part was looking at the decor from years past. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through or even closeby on the highway!!!

45 minute wait for a terrible tasting salad. Terrible tasting, so bitter. Called the manager. He offered a refund, which was nice but clearly they need the money. However, when expressing that I wouldn't return the manager is happy to lose the business. There are plenty to replace us.

the food was very good and it was brought back quickly but the staff was very questionable therefore we will not be coming back.

The BEST pizza I have ever had. You can tell from the first bit that the quality is top-notch. They can custom make any pie you want. A must try for anyone visiting VT or currently living there!

This place is a gem. Quality pizza combinations, really good crust, free wifi, and the "Take and Bake" option which gives you the pizza to cook on your own so you get oven-fresh pizza at home... even if home happens to be 3 hours away! Some of the pizzas are named for local interests. My favorite du jour is the "White Rocks" pizza: feta cheese, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, and olives on a garlic olive oil base, named (I assume) for the world-famous "Bethel White" granite. They serve some of the typical additional options as most pizza places (sandwiches and salads), but with the same attention to detail in ingredient matching as the pre-fixe pizza combinations. Panini are served on homemade foccacia (or other options). Definitely worth visiting, whether you're a local or happen to be dropping in from I-89.

Great pizza from plain cheese to yummy artichoke & olive to pizza with tater tots! Board games, video games and books galore! We may be the only family to order ice cream in January, but it was delicious! Staff was very welcoming and friendly to our family of six (4 kids) Great Vermont beer selection as well!

Stopped by this little town just to come here! Very good move, we got the Mt Hunger pizza and a side order of tater tots. Mt Hunger had basically everything on it and a large pie was the perfect size for four very hungry people. There were all sorts of cute things inside the pizza shop - homemade hats for sale, games and toys, and an ice cream stand that I regrettably didn't try. Next time!

We did carry out from here the other night. Cheese pizza and a Greek salad. The pizza was fine- nothing special but not bad at all. The salad was interesting to me as it was not like the Greek salads we have in The Detroit area. They used a green leaf lettuce (which was an improvement to the iceberg we get if you ask me). They also added green peppers which I was not expecting. Then the things I thought we'd get (peppercinis and beets) were missing. Plus it came with a balsamic rather then a Greek dressing. It was good but not what I'd expected. I missed not having the beets and dressing. On another occassion we had the white rocks pizza and that was very good. i'd gladly eat that again.

What a find! My young son and I stumbled upon this a couple days ago (on a Monday!). We were camping at a nearby state park and decided to treat ourselves to a meal in the local community. We each ordered a personal-sized pizza and shared an order of boneless chicken fingers. Everything was fresh and delicious. The pizza crust was some of the best that I've ever had. The staff was more than friendly, and the other patrons were enjoying themselves. We live about an hour away and will make a special trip to go back for more asap!

This is a great place and not just pizza's, but some great sandwich's. I am in Bethel area once a month and I can saw I have stopped looking for other places after finding this.

Delicious gluten free pizza, very fresh tasting food. Everyone that's works there is so nice and the place was clean and nice inside.

Stopped here for a quick bite on the way home from Canada. Wow! The pizza was amazing, the staff was friendly and efficient. When I ordered my pizza I was told there would be a 30 minute wait because they were so busy. I appreciated their honesty and offer to get sandwiches which would be quicker. We decided to wait and it was actually only about 15 minutes until the pizza arrived. It was hot out of the oven and delivered with real plates, which I am a huge fan of. It was absolutely delicious. I'm always impressed by an open kitchen because you can see exactly what's going on and how clean the kitchen is. This one was immaculate. I would drive out of my way to return here.

As a vegetarian who avoids dairy products, I can't eat very much on the menu, but I still like this place. It's a great hangout, with tons of stuff to do and look at, and the chocolate chip cookies can't be beat. You can order from the bar next door, too, and the staff is pretty good about taking last-minute walk-ins.
