Cockney’s Valletta Restaurant

The food at this place is amazing! 🥰 We ordered: 1. Slow-cooked octopus, 2. Seafood linguine, 3. Two fresh oysters, and 4. Trio mushroom risotto. Everything was delicious and nicely presented! The atmosphere is great, with cozy seating, a lovely view, and a friendly server. Come and give it a try!

As you disembark from the ferry the first restaurant you see is Cockney’s. It’s owned by a Maltese couple in their early eighties who we had the pleasure of being introduced to by the engaging and entertaining Bradley, one of the Indian waiters. The restaurant has both indoor and al fresco dining with views overlooking the sea. Spectacular setting for eating spectacular food. We both had calamari to start which was like a main meal (portion size was huge) could have shared one. Then I chose the dish of the day which was king prawn pasta, a mountain of spaghetti that was actually too much so I couldn’t finish. The prawns were fresh and delicious. Chris had the 4 mushroom risotto which he said was rich and filling.. again very generous portions. Bradley was a very good waiter, he was funny and engaging. He is a very talented waiter, I feel he should be in management. We had after dinner drinks at the bar area just up from the restaurant also owned by the same people. Here we met another engaging man by the name of Stefan. We have since returned to this bar several times now and will continue to do so before we return to Blighty on Saturday. The only thing I’d change is the name, I’d prefer to have the Maltese 🇲🇹 influence vs another reminder of England..we loved the food and people of Cockneys. Thank you team!

This is MUST!!! I’ve been to a lot of restaurants and bars in Malta but this is one of the best if not the best! Great service . Super nice and welcoming waiters who would even give you blankets when it’s a bit chilly at night without even having to ask ! Binita, Bradley, Stefan or Fabian are so kind and sweet ! I have felt so welcomed and loved. I’m overwhelmed! And the food and drinks are simply amazing! Even the owner Charles would take care of me and we’ve had a drink! The fish is so fresh and tasty! All my respect goes to the chef cook! I’ve recommend it to a lot of friends and guests. Also when I would see people standing in front of it I told them to go in because it’s so really that good! The restaurant has a long family tradition and is very charming. The atmosphere is great. Like the whole vibe and the view of the harbor! From the bottom of my heart thank you ! I will be back 🍾🙏❤️

好吃！！信我！！This restaurant is very tasty and highly recommended. We ordered a seafood spaghetti this time and I can say that it was the best seafood spaghetti I've ever had, the seafood was very fresh and of good quality. The pasta was covered in sauce and very satisfying. And the portions were large, with two of us girls sharing a pasta dish. There was also an order of squid , which was also very fresh, and the complimentary roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables had a unique flavour. My friend, who is not a big fan of vegetables, actually finished them all this time, which was very impressive. The last thing is that the whole shop is located next to the coast, the breeze feels very pleasant, the waiter and waitress ( Binita, Igor, Bradley) are very friendly and it feels like your friends are catching up with you, giving you a very warm feeling. I hope to have the opportunity to eat there again next time.

Everything was perfect, beyond expectations. We made a seafront booking as we wanted to see the sunset. We had the choice of three tables as we arrived earlier than planned. We really challenged the waiters patience but he showed understanding and accommodated our needs. Food… starters were delicious, both octopus carpaccio and the ceviche, the traditional fish soup was good but the best was the super tender octopus. Not easy but it really scored a 5 stars. Service was attentive and gracious, allowing time between courses. Needless to say, we ended the evening with a scenic sunset. I would definitely recommend this restaurant that, although receiving thousands of tourists every day, doesn’t compromise on personal values and attention.

Everything was very good, the waiters, the view and especially the food! Best fish I had ate in Malta, the octopus carpaccio was very good too. If you are looking for a good place to eat in malta, it’s a good option. Obs: is better to book a table before, but it’s possible to find one in the moment

I recently had an incredible dining experience at this charming, family-run restaurant. Initially drawn in by its evocative name, I was delighted to find that every corner of the building exudes history—it truly feels like a living museum. The passion and resilience behind the family’s journey are evident, and it touched my heart. The cuisine was exceptional. I savored a rich, perfectly cooked risotto, while my boyfriend enjoyed a delightful rabbit dish, both bursting with flavor and creativity. The waitstaff provided outstanding service, and I would like to extend a special thank you to Bradley. He personally guided us through the restaurant and shared its fascinating history, making our visit even more memorable. I also appreciate Binita and the entire team for their warm hospitality. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a unique dining experience in an atmosphere steeped in heritage and warmth. Very UNFORGETTABLE dinner. Nice restaurant with beautiful sea view. The food is delicious and with good price — Everything served is beyond our expectation. I need to give my genuine thanks to BINITA and BRADLEY. They treat us very well and kindly since the very first second we entered the restaurant. Bradley introduced every dish patiently and took great photo of us. He also show us the whole restaurant and told us the story and history there. Thanks a lot! Here I got one more reason to love Malta. I definitely will come here again!
