It’s a decent place to grab some burgers and drinks. Probably a good idea to make a reservation as it seems to be quite busy on a Friday evening with diners. I had the southern fried chicken burger with salt and vinegar fries and blue cheese dip! The burger was quite okay; feels like coleslaw should be served on the side instead of being a component of the burger itself. The fries were a huge portion, and tasted excellent though! I stole a bite from my date’s cheeseburger and it was okay. His twister fries were delicious without being overly crispy. Still retained the potato flavour. Service was good in spite of the busy service. No frills, no fuss kind of place.

Google
A great place for a Burger. Central location, professional service in a nice looking restaurant. The food is tasty, great aioli and tasty beer. Highly recommended! Update: Went there again, and it was even better this time. They greeted me at the door as they remembered me. And got us a seat at their backyard patio which was super cosy. The starters recommendations were perfect, the meal was great and the service was exceptional. Even though the restaurant was busy, Costas(the waiter) took his time to treat us really well. It was a perfect restaurant visit.

This place is fantastic! We were strolling by and decided to try it without reading any reviews. Burgers were phenomenal - the vegetarian patty was unique and even crispy. Fries and dip were ridiculously good and they also had boozy milkshakes! 😍 Service was great too! One minor feedback - would be good to get takeaway boxes if we can’t finish the meal.

First time having proper meal in Denmark and this place delivers! 🤤 Definitely a place worth going if you don’t mind heavy and greasy meal 😋 The staff is also friendly and extraordinarily nice 😌

An excellent mini burger chain that isn’t perfect in every respect but certainly gets you a very nice clean burger for a reasonable (by Copenhagen standards) amount of money. Pretty corporate design, seems like they were attempting to be a large chain, the overly standardized elements are actually very well and carefully executed but certainly lack family or unique feel. Burgers are a different story though. Very carefully crafted and constructed, even in their sloppy versions, they seem to be perfectly proportioned and executed. Nothing leaks, nothing falls apart, the chew is just right and the ingredient quality is spot on. We had a BBQ burger which basically had bbq mayo sauce, Dijon mustard, all the green and tomato staples plus some tall onion rings. Then we tried jalapeño Mexican styled burger with slightly different sauces and clearly more on the peppery / earthy / spicy side of things. Both burgers were down to the point and very well executed and a perfect example that over engineered burgers are completely unnecessary. It is not one of my favorite places in Copenhagen but is certainly a great option if I want a burger.

Google
Fairly decent burger place in the centre of Copenhagen. Good choice of burgers (with gluten free buns), fries and dips which are well though through flavour combos and taste good. Service was quick, although one star removed as we were charged for a jug of tap water (we had ordered other drinks as well)

In the need for a beer and a burger? Walk about 15min from Tivoli or take the metro which stops in front. The channel gives a cooling bit to the place. Watch the “royal “ church and the parlement building and enjoy your burger

I’m in love with this place—the food, quality, service, and interior! And the name is great too. Highly recommend for a quick boost and stop.

Yelp
We got into Copenhagen from Croatia late evening and were starving. We found Cocks & Cows by chance and figured we'd give it a try. Shared the Smoke & Cheese burger, fries and onion rings with cocks mayo and home made ketchup dips. Everything was fantastic. Cooked to perfection and super tasty. Great cocktails (we had the raspberry fizz and "cocksmopolitan" (plus a Heineken with dinner.) Dinner came pretty quickly too which surprised us. Friendly and efficient service.

Yelp
Aside from loving the name, the food is good. It's not the best burger I've had, but not bad at all. Service was ok.

Ken M.

Yelp
Didnt mention that you have to order ketchup seperately through the qr code menu. After we orderedburgers and fries. Then our meal was done before it came out to our table. Really?

Yelp
Great place with plenty of outdoor seating (with rain coverage) in their courtyard for a bite to eat. The menu is simple - cow, chicken or veggie burgers with variations, choices for sides and dips. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger which was thick and served pink. I wrongly chose a whole grain bun, which was nice but a bit stiff so didn't hug my burger and salad so they just slid out. We also had a BBQ chicken burger which was also cooked very well and again, we chose the wrong bun - a white bun. What we actually should've ordered were the 'American Sweet' which is actually much like a soft brioche which is so hot right now as a burger bun! Service was friendly. All the waiters spoke English and the patrons were largely tourists like myself! Pop in if you need shelter from the rain and are hungry. I'm sure it's not the BEST burger Copenhagen has to offer as its only the first one I've tried here.

Yelp
The veggie burger I had here was so good it went to my all time top 5 due to the great veggie patty and tasty sweet american bun. We visited Cock's & Cows on a Monday at 1PM and there weren't very many other customers at the same time. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was ok - probably more interesting in the evening.

Yelp
Good ole American burgers and milkshakes! Cocks and Cows were voted best burger by AOK (a Danish blog) and given my husband's quest to find the best burger, we came here on a Saturday afternoon. Food: 4/5 The milkshakes were delicious! We had the strawberry milkshake and the chocolate espresso, both were amazingly good. It was topped with whipped cream (the good stuff, not cool whip), sprinkles and a maraschino cherry (the cherry tasted bad, don't eat it). The burgers were also quite tasty: cheese and bacon burger, "Illegal" which is guacomole and the jalapeno is served on the side. You could choose the type of bread it is served on and the beef patty was moist and juicy (medium rare). They used romaine lettuce instead of iceberg lettuce which gave it a nice and consistent crunch. Of note: burgers are consumed with a fork and knife in Europe, and given the size of this burger I would recommend cutting it in half before attempting to eat it with your hands. My only complaint is that they put way too much ketchup in my bacon burger. The twister fries (aka curly fries) are standard, fried and delicious. You could order various types of mayo as dipping sauce but I had them with ketchup. Service: 2/5 This place does takes reservations which is unfortunate because it is really popular and you end up having a large crowd waiting for tables while there are plenty of tables that have been reserved. Hence, my advice is to make reservations if you can. Otherwise, arrive before popular meal times (1pm and 6pm). Also unfortunate is that this place is understaffed. There is an outside courtyard and barnhouse that has additional seating, and our server was assigned to both these locations and several tables inside. We waited for 15 minutes and didn't see her so I had to go inside to find our server and ask for the bill. By the time she got to our table she was visibly stressed and ended up handing us the wrong bill. (advice: always double check your bill before paying) Atmosphere: 4/5 This place is very rustic and hip. We were seated in the outside barn and it had heat lamps and blankets which makes for a cosy and interesting experience. Inside all the tables were abuzz with people and you can tell that this is a popular location. Value: 4/5 It cost around 300 kr for 2 people, which isn't too bad considering Copenhagen. The burgers are huge and you will leave feeling quite full.

Yelp
This is my second burger place in CPH, and I loved every bite. While it's not the cheapest burger joint around, the portions are large and the food is delicious enough that you don't feel bitter about dropping a stack of cash compared to cheaper eats at In N Out or McDonald's. Service: my friend and I swung by around 1pm, so there was plenty of seating and service was friendly and attentive (by European standards). Price: 90kr-150kr, with classic burger being the base price. Food: I had the heavy onion burger (forgot the name), and it was amazing. There are a few bun selections, but the waitress suggested the brioche and I'm glad I listened (don't stray from the classic bun). The meat wasn't overcooked, thankfully, and was still juicy which made eating a fun but challenging task!

Yelp
Yum yum yum..Cock's & Cows is super yummy and amazing!! Cock's & Cows is a chain burger restaurant in Copenhagen and I have come here many times, twice within my first week of arriving in Copenhagen back in January actually! Typically I do not like chain restaurants, especially in Europe, but Cock's & Cows is really good!! The burgers, salads, beers, and milkshakes are also super super yummy here!! On the menu, all of the burgers have fun names! I love burgers, but I usually just get a cheese burger here because I really love a simple cheese burger. I also love getting a cold beer and a vanilla milkshake here...it is sweet and delicious. I also really like the vibe at Cock's & Cows. It has a super friendly and fun environment. The employees here are super helpful, they give great recommendations and make ordering off the menu easy. The food and drinks are also not too expensive here. Copenhagen is a very expensive city and it can be hard to find reasonably priced food sometimes, which is another reasons Cock's & Cows is great. Basically, at Cock's & Cows you can get a good burger, a beer and milkshake, while having a great meal with friends or family!

Yelp
Three of us arrived and chose to sit on the roof top terrace. Instantly greeted by real friendly staff who seated us and ensured we were comfortable. I had the Governator, which totally terminated my hunger whilst a vegetarian friend of mine had the tree hugger...he said it was the best vegetarian burger he has had whilst in Copenhagen. The chilli fries were absolutely awesome with the perfect amount of crunch and chilli, which was all washed down with two jugs of dark and stormy cocktails! The roof top terrace had a relaxed atmosphere with bench seats that were covered in sheep skins and heat lamps that kept the chilled wind at bay. Great location for groups. I'll be back

Yelp
Turned away bc we didn't have a reservation at 630pm on Sunday. There were clearly plenty of seats, but according to the host they will get busy "any moment now."
google avatar

Matt P.

Yelp
Best. Burgers. Ever. I had "The Governator," curly fries, and a draft beer, and I have to say it was the best burger I've had after years living in Europe and Scandinavia. You can't go wrong here. Good food, good atmosphere, and good prices. Definitely recommended. Just a tip, make a reservation. The line gets long quick.

Yelp
My second time at this restaurant and I'm still not impressed. I really don't know how they can win "best burger 2015" The bun is to big and way to crispy. The toppings are almost no exciting. I ordered a classic bacon cheese, but u had to look really careful to find any of these toppings. The meat was okay but a bit tasteless. The fries were standard curly fries and the dip wasn't impressed either. The guacamole looked and tasted of the guacamole u can buy in a grocery store. I'm disappointed especially when your comparing the prices to other places. We were a group of 10 ppl and none of us were impressed.

Yelp
Rude staff. Bartender having a bad day and yelled at new bar back until she dropped a drink breaking the glass. Most of all... I sat at the bar and watched as the hostess arbitrarily chose if they were "fully booked." oh yes and I watched as she gave different wait times to different groups of people, even those with the same amount of people in the party and literally minutes in between. I will say my burger was great. Although the service was as if I was an inconvenience. Again did I mention the bartender loudly calling for service ever three minutes?! I'll end with this, I ordered a cola - I got over a liter of cola which ended up costing about 10€ after the may on currency exchange. When I had asked her to remove the ridiculous sized soda from my very small area at the bar, she left it with me. After explaining I wanted a small cola (like a reasonable amount rather than nearly a 2L) she informed me I had more than enough. So needless to say I was charged for a soda I barely drank at an astronomical price. Rather than making another comment, I just wanted to leave asap. Very disappointing for a such well reviewed place. Any burger place could've served me that food for a portion of the cost and almost guaranteed a better environment to enjoy your meal.
google avatar

Daria G.

Yelp
The portions were very big and the food was quite nice but, unfortunately, there's only one veggie option. Do note that they also add a 25% service charge. The location is central, so if you're very hungry and are want a big meal, Cocks and Cows is a decent option.
google avatar

Yelp
Cock's and Cows is a sure thing. I have eaten here many times, both in their restaurant, but also as takeaway. They dont make the best burgers you can get, but they are pretty good - and they are pretty good every single time. If you want a good (not great) burger, this is definitely a good place to go. I would recommend booking tables in advance, as they are quite popular and most likely booked up. Being in the restaurant gives you a lot of mixed signals, mostly because they mix up a lot of styles throughout the century. The menu is very oldschool ish, but some of the decour is more 70s/80s and it seems like it hasn't been properly thought through. I will definitely be returning, when I want a burger that I know I like, without taking any chances of a new place.

Yelp
I suppose this is the best American burger joint you'll find in CPU. A friend was hankering for a good ol' fashioned burger (none of these smorrebrod or sandwich shenanigans, which I personally can't get enough of) so we all indulged, yet again. This place is pricey! About $20 for a burger. Sorry, at less than half the price, my darling Farm Burger back in Decatur can't be beat. Hell, even the Vortex and Flip Burger does better. Speaking of which, they have the Governator here, which is like a pansy compared to the Double Coronary Bypass Burger. Only in 'Murica!!!
google avatar

Georges B.

Yelp
The burger I had was a New Yorker with sliced soft steak which tasted amazing. The meat was soft but not not too soft. The bun itself was not too heavy and the toppings was as well delicious and light. Usually when I have a burger I feel extremely full afterwords. This one was not like that at all. I felt full but not too full which is a feeling that few burger joints offer. I will certainly come back here again.

Yelp
I had heard so much about this place and their amazing burgers, so I was really looking forward to this...so I went into this hungry and ready.. The interior is great and I like the concept a lot. We had a reservation for 5 PM, and they offered a discount on cocktails in the bar before our table was ready. Nice gesture...but they needed another bartender. The drinks were good, but they took forever to make... Then we are waiting to speak to someone about us being on time for our reservation. It took ten minutes for someone to acknowledge us...but then we did get seated on time. We were so excited, but then it took them 20 minutes just to come over and say hello...and that was after we spoke to two different people, asking for a server. Once she came over, it was ok, but the wait time was abysmal. I had the Illegal burger, and it was very good. We also shared the onion rings, chili fries, curly fries and normal fries. All executed well. We also really liked the chili mayo and the aioli. Although the food was good and the interior charming, sadly it cannot get more than 2 stars because the service is bad..yes, that bad. So, come armed with a tablet, facebook, and a suitcase of patience. And when you order a cocktail, maybe order two...just to be on the safe side. Because the waiting really puts a bad taste in your mouth...no matter how good the burgers are.

Yelp
We wanted to go to some nice place to have team dinner & one of my team members suggested this place. It started with trying to make reservation for 6 people, but was quite difficult to find reservation for the exact time we wanted & had to compromise. This just shows how busy this place can be even on a normal weekday. It started off with reaching the restaurant at a certain time & with a tight deadline that we can only have the table for 2 hrs, at the end of the day we managed to spend more than 2 hrs & fortunately did not get kicked Now down to food, I ordered chicken burger & some of my other team members ordered beef along with a variety of side orders ranging from fries, chili fries, wings, onion rings & also mini salads, honestly the taste was fantastic for all of the food that I tried & will surely make it here again. My team also ordered some beer & they kept saying this was one of the best beers they have tasted, which is a good sign as well. Service was ok, nothing bad about it & nothing out of the ordinary. I will absolutely recommend this place & suggest that everyone surely tries it, please ensure to make reservations in advance

Yelp
Considering the rest of the reviews here, I think this place was overrated. I have eaten much nicer burgers than this. The size of the burgers is big anyway and the price is OK. The taste was nothing special though and the service was mediocre. We ordered the governor and the illegal.
google avatar

Ajay R.

Yelp
Very good quality food and great portion sizes. Good value for money. I had the Governator burger with chilli fries, leaving no room to try a dessert.

Yelp
Great burgers, but slightly on the expensive side so marked down a star for this and also the tap water charge. Always frustrated when a restaurant charges for tap water.

Yelp
I love burgers and this might be the best burger place in Cph I been to. Milkshakes are delicious, too!
google avatar

Stéphanie A.

Yelp
Nice place to have burgers! Good service - mostly in English. A little bit loud but nothing too bad. Open kitchen, so you can see how your food is prepared. Tasty vegetarian burger but with a surprising name: treehugger. Big tables if you want to come with a large number of friends.
google avatar

Yelp
I love burgers and have a list on my phone with all the best burgers places I have visited over the time. This is also one of my favorite places, i love there Coleslaw and the homemade fries and especially the side order like hot wings, and onion rings. They have American style shakes, but i have not tried them yet, although they look super delicious. This place is always packed, so book a table. I always get disappointed when the staff don't treat you very nice, well this is one of those places, where the staff, being to much hipsters to be able to talk nicely to the average populations. I experienced the waiter told me he could not divide the bill into 4. I do appreciate there burger and that is the only reason i come back to this place.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is hard to judge. If you are an American like me who loves your burgers then you will probably be a bit picky and have some issues with Cocks and Cows. The good thing is they are the closest you'll find to a real American-style burger. The portions sizes are nice. These are big juicy burgers. Happily they served it medium rare without having to ask. Downfall is the burgers come served alone, you have to order fries etc. on the side. Chili fries were a bit of a let down, but the twisted fries were thick-cut and great. The buns are sort of flat and toasted and crumble apart when you try to eat them, even the "American bun". They do have good options for different flavor combinations, though be warned that the Mexican option only comes with a jalepeno skewered on top of the burger, not actually in it. We had a rough experience in that they forgot one of our burgers, so I ate mine while my boyfriend waited. Overall a decent experience, a decent burger, but for $20 you would expect a bit better in food quality and service.
google avatar

Daniela R.

Yelp
Two separate areas; one bar ( dont miss the Classic 34 ) and one restaurant -it is better if you make a reservation- service was very nice. The bar is cozy and cool, they offer several cocktails and beers. Great music. On the second level the beautifully designed restaurant is the ultimate setting for some large and delicious burgers. Definitely a must!! Prices are very "average" considering the city.
google avatar

Gavin F.

Yelp
Sat us outside. We sat for 20 minutes and nobody came to even greet us. We watched other tables sit and get served. Tried to flag down a waiter and he ignored me. Horrible service!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing burgers n fries! Tried the pulled pork and really enjoyed it. Had some problems splitting the check between à big group but it worked out. Definitely à place To visit!
google avatar

Erin Y.

Yelp
The Classic Cow is a good burger. The beef was cooked to a perfect medium and the romain added a nice crunch. The thinly sliced and pickled onions and cucumbers where an unexpected pleasant surprise. I had the dark beer on tap which was a nice compliment to the meal. This place was the perfect place to stop after an afternoon of walking in the steady drizzle.
google avatar

John N.

Yelp
The food is very good - you come for burgers, and you're not disappointed. The service is not up to it, though. It us painfully slow. Way way below standard. The food deserves 4 stars, but service pulls it down to maximum 2 stars. And that is being generous.

Natalie H.

Yelp
Delicious burgers and fries. We stopped here after sightseeing before returning to the airport. We each ordered a burger with a side of fries and were please with the quality and flavor. Huge portion sizes and friendly service.
google avatar

Mina S.

Yelp
I should first note that I'm born and raised in California and I ate my usual order from In-N-Out right before flying back here. Obviously I don't hold Copenhagen to the same standards since the burger culture isn't the same, nor is a fast food cheeseburger the same as what you're served in a sit-down restaurant, but I still didn't that feel it was the best I've had here. The salt & vinegar fries were great, but a little heavy on the salt. Some pieces were more vinegary than others. Nice and crisp when they were hot but went downhill quickly as they cooled, as fries do. The burger itself looked very nice but there was too much lettuce inside, which eventually made the bun soggy and fall apart. I eat burgers with my hands though, maybe they are constructed for fork-and-knife eating. The cucumbers also contributed to soaking the bun; as much as I love them, I will never understand how cucumbers end up in burgers (or kebab, for that matter). Keep out! Everyone in our group except for the vegetarians received the Cheese & Smoke burger and unfortunately both of those elements were missing. I would have liked more cheese and there was a single slice of bacon which was not very crisp, although I didn't expect it to be and less so in a group serving. I do love smoke-flavoured anything so this was a little disappointing. Finally the patty was a good size and cooked to medium rare with lots of lovely pink in the middle. Also thank you for putting bottles of ketchup on the table and not giving me a thimble of it on request. What can I say, I'm from the States; I love ketchup! As for the cock's part, I got a Dark & Stormy which was not as gingery nor as boozy as I would have liked. And maybe it's just me but the price seems a little steep for a cocktail with only two ingredients. The service was good, though we were in a group which had pre-ordered the burgers, fries, and dips the day before. My only gripe is that they will only split the bill 4 ways (why?) and although it was nice to get a 10% discount, it was taken off each individual item so the combined bill for all of us was a little hard to decipher. I think we figured it out in the end.. hopefully. Altogether it's a satisfactory burger which would probably be better in smaller, customized orders and with less lettuce/no cucumber. But I'll get the cocktail somewhere else.
google avatar

Laura B.

Yelp
I really liked the atmosphere. We had booked a table and were led upstairs, where you're seated either in American-style booths along the wall, or at one of the long massive wooden tables with benches. We had a cocktail before dinner - their cocktails are delicious and quite strong, so I'd say that's a good bang for your buck. The burgers are oh-so-nom! I highly recommend their Sweet American bread, which comes branded with their logo and adds a really nice flavor. The meat was tender, well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. Looks like they've recently updated their burger menu, so I guess that means I have to go again soon - yay! They are really milking (pun not intended) their name theme, from the cocktail names to the signs on the bathroom doors that say "cocks" and "cows". I do recommend that you book a table in advance, as it seems to be quite popular. If you're a walk-in, I'd suggest to do what other reviewers suggest and try to come outside of rush hours.

Yelp
really great burger! loved it! I had it with wholegrain bread! Lovely!

Yelp
We used the home delivery and experienced the worste service ever! More than 3 Hours delivery, no one reachable at the hotline and Then the Burgers were cold! And this for 700dk (100€).
google avatar

Kathy L.

Yelp
Its a good place but would not really recommend if you are an American tourist. Downfall for me was the bun which was a little dry and like a hybrid of ciabatta and traditional sponge bun. Otherwise, meat, vegetables, twister (aka curly) fries were delicious but not anything too different than what you can find in the us of a for about half the price. Also, do not be mistaken into ordering the large size soda. It's literally like 40 oz or larger. I was a little embarrassed when it came to the table.

Anton B.

Yelp
Ok burgers but nothing very special. I was charged an extra amount because I forgot to explicitly say I wanted 'the menu' instead of a burger and fries separately. Afterward, the cashier insisted that there indeed was a difference between ordering 'burger + fries' and 'a menu' (which had the same contents), which was all ridiculous and not at all service-minded.
google avatar

Linnea E.

Yelp
I desperately want to give these guys a good review because their food is good - but when you have to wait over 1,5 hours to get it, that doesn't really matter. They tried to make it up to us by giving us a round of free beer (but then charged us for it in the end anyways - so, rather pointless). Finally, they delivered three burgers to the four of us - they had simply forgotten my order, and didn't realize that perhaps the fourth person wanted to eat as well? We went in and told them, they came out a couple of minutes later having already forgotten what it was that I ordered. By the time I got my food, everyone else had already finished. The waiter was fantastic, but that didn't really make up for it.

Yelp
I spend a lot of time in Copenhagen. I come here when I am homesick for the foods of my motherland. There's probably no where else in Europe you're getting curly fries and chicken wings. Tastes like Amerikuh.
google avatar

Adam E.

Yelp
A popular place in Copenhagen that makes original and creative burgers. Good spot to visit before you go out in Copenhagen nightlife!
google avatar

Tuki C.

Yelp
We ordered delivery of two burgers and twister fries (one chili, one salted). Not only did we get, our order wrong, no chili fries :( but also everything was cold, the fries, the burgers, and completely soggy buns too. Horrible and overpriced dinner experience, never again.
google avatar

Denny H.

Yelp
Came here after running the Copenhagen marathon, and it was delicious! I got the classic cow with a side of ribs, which easily filled me up. The only thing that caught me off guard was how 'American' it was; I felt like I was at home. I was hoping for a more Danish environment, but we were greeted in English so I assumed many tourists go here for burgers. Overall, great spot - outside dining area is beautiful - for burgers, but very Americanized.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Meh ... Over priced and not great quality. Bronx burger nearby is way way better. They charged us 25 kroner for a pitcher of tap water.

Frans F.

Yelp
Best Burger in Copenhagen. Comparable with the great burger-joints in America. I love the "Governator". 2x200 g of meat + Bacon + Cheese + Salad. Very Price-worthy and really good (120 DKK). Not so fatty as you might think - quite "fresh" actually. Just order this one. Im sure they have awesome curly fires and good milk-shakes, but its just too much to eat. And dont fail like the danish do - eat it with your hands and not your fork. However, the drinks are quite expensive (around 40-50 DKK for a beer ) and you should aim for something without calories (due to the huge portions - the drinks will hinder your progress with the burgers). 0.5 l of tap-water "just" costs 10 DKK. Also make sure to book a table! It tends to get full! + Awesome, price-worthy burgers - Expensive beverages

Very good options for vegetarians. Yum... but I agree with others who say that this place is overrated. It is a good, standard place to get a burger, nothing more.

Yelp
As an American who has lived in Europe for many years, this was a great find! Nice menu, good burger (chose the option of more salad and no bun as European buns tend to be too hard to eat it the American way), nice fries and onion rings. Our girls had a chocolate milkshake and it was great! A few blocks away from the Strøget ... nicer service, better prices!

Yelp
I will start off by saying that I love a great burger, and I am always looking for the best place around. I am from the United States and I have lived in Denmark for several years. Some previous reviews have mentioned that the burgers at Cocks and Cows are expensive, but I would disagree with this. They are on par with other prices in town. As for the quality of the burgers, they are good, but not amazing. There is no way they are as flavorful as some of the truly great burger restaurants back in the US, but they definitely satisfy my burger cravings. All in all, there is nothing really new and interesting going on at Cocks and Cows with the burger selections. They do not use any artisan buns, or really special cheeses or sauce. The meat they use is nice, but not exceptionally full flavored. However, if what you want is a straight forward slightly better than average burger, Cocks and Cows will do the trick.

Yelp
Great burgers, great prices, and excellent service! This seemingly normal burger joint is so overwhelmed by its popularity that a table reservation for our night out was required. We were greeted and seated within minutes of arriving. I decide to venture outside the comfort zone of traditional burgers on toasted buns, so I selected the cheese stuffed burger. The burger was a Copenhagen twist on the great American tradition, Danish cheese was stuffed inside the burger rather than smothered on top of it. The buns (traditional sweet American) were toasted to perfection. If I would have to deduct anything from this burger it would be the oversized lettuce cuts and too many tomato slices stacked on each other; it made my burger slip and slide off my buns. Not only did I decide for the Copenhagen interpretation off the classic hamburger, I also decided to kick it up with some thick cut Danish bacon and jalapeños. The bacon added an exciting flavor to my naked burger stuffed with cheesy riches, and the jalapeños.... To my surprise I did not receive pickled jalapeño slices, sporadically "rained" on my burger while dripping their pickle juices all over my burger and buns, there was a fresh, whole, and slightly grilled jalapeño pierced on top of my bun with a wooden pin to keep the entire work of art together. I paired my meal with a carlsberg beer and for the sake of festivities a twisted margarita, a well flavored drink with a twist of cucumber. My side were twisted fries, basically curly fries; crisp on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. I highly recommend this experience and don't be afraid to venture out on your own in there and mix it up a bit. I only wish it was more accessible so anyone could spontaneously pop in and enjoy a delicious meal with out booking a table days in advance.
