"English muffin for breakfast again, and we also ordered from CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice on 72nd St. We got two winter melon teas and one smashed taro milk. Winter melon tea is decaffeinated, so it has essentially become the kids’ drink in our family because it’s a bit sweet — there’s no caffeine involved, it’s not really tea."

Love this place and so do my kids. The only problem is that they run out of milk alternatives quite fast (lots of people seem to love oatmilk) so it is hard to get the teas I like since I can't drink cow milk. Butttt their iced passion fruit tea (regular tea no milk) is delicious. My kid loves the milk tea with boba 😋 she is obsessed with boba tea and we hit up a tea house every month to find the best one. She put this store in her top 3 list 😅

Delicious bubble tea, the service is fast and friendly. They have lots of flavor options and yummy toppings. No seating area available so best for take out. Definitely stop in!

Was looking for Boba Tea/Slushy in Manhattan after 9pm on a Saturday and we found this as: 1. Open till 10pm 2. Decent people reviewed Parking was a breeze. It cost around $15 for a large Boba Tea and Slushy, which is a little expensive. Plus side was the service was super fast as we got our drinks quickly. The Slushy was decent but the Boba tea was a killer. I finished halfway before my ride home. Highly recommend getting that. We wanted to get a second Boba but apparently they had run out - which is a good sign. If you are looking for an amazing Boba tea after you visit the Museums nearby, then this is the place to go. 85/100

Google
Small shop with great staff. Tried out a new drink and while it was aesthetically pleasing, it didn’t really taste too great. My friend got a mango green tea and it tasted very watered down which was disappointing.

Google
The prices of these are amazing!! I got a large Classic Milk Tea and it came out to six on the dot! ($6) my boyfriend got the large caramel milk tea and it was $7 on the dot. I will definitely come back to this place i want to try all the different flavors!!!

Currently offering these cute holo bags at a discount with purchase. Super cute. Mango Yakult with lychee jelly was just ok.

Google
Bubble tea was delicious! Initially I ordered the lava pearl however they didn’t have, so I went with the Taro Milk and it was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Yelp
My go to for bubble tea. Service is fast and the cashier was friendly. Order at the kiosk and pickup when ready. Pretty simple. Slightly cheaper than other boba spots I've been to in the city. Small location is it's mainly a grab & go setup. No restroom. Close to the 72nd st subway stop.

Yelp
The tea was good but the services sucked on the 4th of July. Whoever worked that day at 5:36 had a really weird demeanor so thank God for kiosk. Think I had a passionfruit and mango green tea and it was tasty. I would go back.

Yelp
[NYC BOBA TOUR STOP #33] *My other stops on the boba tour: https://www.yelp.com/collection/4dXTAnFqPHD1D8obaInTZw/nyc-boba-tour Guys, this is our GO TO Coco. We have been here many many times- we probably carried this business on our backs during COVID after coming here so often. But our most recent experience here was absolutely not it. To start... the drinks. We got (rating): Classic Milk Tea with QQ (4/5), Classic Milk Tea with QQ (4/5), QQ Black Tea Latte (2/5), Tropical Special with Grass Jelly (3/5), Jasmine Milk Tea with QQ (3/5), Cloud Green Tea with Grass Jelly (3.5/5) Nothing really stood out, not even the QQ balls, which are the reason we go to coco. These QQ boba balls are usually ELITE. Like, the perfect bouncy texture with the taro/sweet potato taste to go with it. They are the best. I don't remember the last time I ordered boba here- they are THAT good. And usually they're consistently that good, but this time they just weren't up to par. Though they had the signature bounce, they didn't taste like anything. The real story here is in the service. Coco has an app now! Great! I love rewards and I love ordering ahead. The thing is, if I order ahead, which we did in this case, I would expect my drinks to be done or at least in the process of being done when I get to the store. The workers at coco themselves even advised my uncle the last time he was there to "get the app so he could order ahead!" Great, amazing, my uncle did just that. Except for the fact that we ordered ahead, arrived 10 minutes later, and when we gave them our name they said, "Oh, we'll start making your drinks now." WHAT. Y'all those drinks should be DONE, or at least in the process of being done, by now. Our credit card was already on file, they had already charged us, so they shouldn't have been afraid of making the drinks and no one picking them up. It's really simple: if they have an order ahead option, they should make the orders ahead of time. Instead we were left waiting an additional 15 minutes after we'd arrived for our drinks. Then, our QQ Black Tea Latte originally did not have QQ balls in it. No worries, we caught the mistake and asked them to add it when we noticed. The problem with that was that they put the drink into a new cup that did not have the label on it and unfortunately the black tea latte looked exactly like the classic milk teas. This... wouldn't have been an issue if the black tea latte was the only drink that was unlabeled. Not only was one of the classic MTs unlabeled, but the missing label was actually put on the jasmine milk tea so that the jasmine milk tea's label said "classic milk tea." The only reason why I knew was because I order the jasmine milk tea so often that I know what it looks like. None of the drinks had the jasmine milk tea label. So... if you're visualizing it all in your head correctly, you'll realize that we were left with two drinks unlabeled: one classic milk tea and one black tea latte, both looking exactly the same. To rectify this issue, I ran both drinks to my cousin who proceeded to stab her straw into each drink, taking a sip of both in order to figure out which one was hers. She ended up choosing the one she thought was hers (who's to say if she was right), and that was that. It was genuinely just so much unnecessary headache. As I've mentioned, this is the first time this coco has been like this, so we'll definitely be back. It's an experience we won't forget though.

Yelp
Small store with nowhere to sit but you order on the kiosk and the drinks come pretty quick. I got the lava pearl matcha latte and it was super sweet despite me getting 70% sugar so if you don't like sweet things make sure to really lower the sugar amount. The drink itself was still very delicious but wasn't very grassy like you expect most matcha to be. I enjoyed it though and would come back. Also I think the drinks already come with pearls so don't add any tapioca like I did if you just want the regular amount. I ended up accidentally getting extra tapioca but the tapioca itself is good and chewy so I didn't mind.

Yelp
Small location but clean, quick and friendly staff. Download the app to order ahead and collect points. Liked the lava boba - brown sugar pearls! My family had the taro and regular milk tea. Like you can adjust sugar and ice levels.
google avatar

Ronak P.

Yelp
Great option for boba in uws. Love places that allow you to adjust ice and sugar levels. Have not visited physical location but delivery has always been quick and on point. They have a good variety of flavors so you're likely to find whatever will quench your thirst.

Anya G.

Yelp
Delicious! The milk tea was made perfectly. Selected: 70% sweetness, the option of lactaid milk, and foam-- absolute perfection. Boba was a good consistency-- not overly cooked, the perfect amount of chew and sweetness. Will return!!

Yelp
The taste of the salt and pepper chicken is authentic! The bubble tea drinks are also fantastic! They even close at 10 PM, allowing my wife and me to enjoy such authentic Taiwanese cuisine after work when we're hungry! Highly recommended!
google avatar

Quincey H.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite boba place and when it's warm out, I can't stop myself from coming by. One of my friends lived in Taiwan and this is a place that's super popular there so it's very authentic.
google avatar

Charlene W.

Yelp
The new Smashed Taro with fresh milk & QQ topping is my fave bubble tea drink! It's a must try at Coco and reminds me of Taiwan. The 72nd street store is small, but clean and safe. Tip: Remember to snap a photo with the mascot on the wall before you go!

Yelp
I've had a few bad experiences at Coco and wasn't really a fan, but I gave this place a try when I was in the Central Park area! There weren't many options to choose from in that area. They only allowed 1 customer inside the small area at a time so I had to wait a few minutes outside- no biggie. We ordered a hot taro milk tea and a passion fruit slush with bubbles, of course. I recommend cutting back on your sugar level as we ordered 50% for the slush and 70% for the taro and it was still pretty sweet. They were both pretty good! The passion fruit tasted pretty standard. I liked the taro milk tea although it did leave a fake aftertaste in my mouth. The bubbles were great- nice and chewy!

Yelp
I was a bit surprised to find a Coco location out here on Upper West Side but it goes to show how bubble tea has really gotten popular. I placed a Seamless pick up order but honestly I think might have been better if I just ordered from the store as they didn't really follow my less sugar requests. Its bit understandable since they were a bit busy at a time to miss the details but it would be nice since almost all bubble tea places allow customization on the ice and sugar levels. They currently are limiting about 2 customers inside the small store at a time and I had a wait a little bit but my order was ready when I walked inside. Its a great location though since only about a block away from the 72nd street stop and close to my dentist. I would consider giving them another chance but probably ordering in person this time just to be sure they got the order correct.

Yummy K.

Yelp
The milk tea I got had egg pudding and boba pearls. It was extremely milky and the milk tea and egg pudding were flavorless and simultaneously sugary enough to make me feel nauseous. Please spend that $7+ at another boba place.

Yelp
Yay! Coco has an adorable storefront and mascot, both of which really pulled me in. I opted for the Thai tea boba with half sweetness. It was tasty and the boba was perfectly chewy. I sort of wish I got it with full sweetness, but really, even with 50% it was a satisfying and refreshing drink. The person working was really friendly and though the shop is small, they did a great job of making sure only 1-2 folks were in the store at a time (writing this during COVID).

Yelp
So on 118 west 72nd street the coco bubble tea closed down. My review at that location was 2 star due to the rude employee that made my drinks. I clearly notified him what I need in that drinks but ignored my order and just did it on his way. 124 west 72nd street the coco bubble tea opened up so I decided to give them a try today The interior it's similar to other location, here they have table stand but no chair. When I walked in I dont think she greeted but greeted afterward when I handed her the paper of the drinks I needed. On the Google contributions they did had rainbow jelly and sago when I saw their pictures for this location but the girl said sorry we don't have it. Their prices is cheaper compared to other bubble tea places around 72nd street. I brought total 5 drinks and came out as $33 They either have medium or large size drink. No small!! Their sugar level are 0% 30% and etc. My drink was grapefruit bubble tea with lychee jelly and egg pudding with 30% sugar. It was too sour, so I didn't like my drink. Overall it wasn't the fantastic experience but will come by again to try their new drinks.

Yelp
I went to Coco for the first time in a while before going to Shakespeare in the Park and, I must say, they seem to have improved a lot from what I remembered. As always, Coco is small, just enough room to order your bubble tea and leave. But it is clean and modern looking and looks quite nice. I ordered their new special, Lava Pearl bubble tea, which seems inspired by the recent trend of brown sugar bubble tea. Unlike their usual boba bubbles, the boba for this tea are marinating in molten brown sugar. The molten sugar drips down the side of the cup giving a very pretty look to the drink. And the taste is super good. I've had brown sugar bubble tea before, most bubble tea places have that. But they don't use molten sugar and it is more of a flavoring. This molten brown sugar taste was quite good and I really enjoyed it. The bubbles were a good texture, too. They could have been slightly softer, but not a big deal. I look forward to coming back to this Coco. It is a good location near the 72nd St subway stations and the bubble tea is quite good.

Yelp
This is essentially just a store-front with a counter indoors, there's no room for seating, but it's great to grab-and-go and is only a few blocks from Central Park. A large milk bubble tea is $5.05 (comes out to exactly $5.50 with tax) which is pricey but fairly standard for NYC bubble tea chains. The counter and prep area was clean and drinks came out quickly.

Yelp
My favorite back when I was in college in China. Still have favorite right now after trying many bubble tea places in NYC. Basically I can never go wrong with any item on the menu.

Yelp
Love this place so much! I'm a milk tea lover and I recently tried the hoji milk tea and it was so good!

Yelp
Excellent drinks and friendly staff! I like how you can alternate the ice and sugar levels of the drinks. Would recommend to anyone.
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
This is a great place for bubble tea! They are very accommodating with adjusting the amount of sugar, ice, etc. in your drink, and add the right ratio of tapioca topping and drink so that you finish both at around the same time. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow!! I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I've never been to a Coco bubble tea location before and now I'm wondering why I've never been. I ordered the Three Guys which is milk tea with tapioca, grass jelly, and pudding. The large was only slightly more than $5. The price point is much lower than other bubble tea places and you get more bang for your buck! Staff members were extremely friendly. Currently 2 person limit inside the store at a time.

Yelp
There's not many places to get bubble tea in the UWS so I'm grateful this place exists. While pregnant, it also became my go-to place to get a lactose free and caffeine free version of a brown sugar boba, known as a Lava Pearl Milk Tea on their menu. 100% sugar level is less sweet than a Starbucks concoction and they let you adjust the ice, add more boba and customize with a few other fun things like red adzuki beans. I wish they offered oat milk or almond milk but beggars can't be choosers.
google avatar

Yelp
I've had a couple times bubble tea before in California, but I didn't like it, until I came to New York got the Coco. It literally changed my mind. The staffs were so friendly and enthusiastic. I asked for recommendations, the "Supreme" guy strongly recommended the BERRY LOVERS. WOWOW! I'm in love with it! It's just perfect and literally can chew these berries. And it doesn't taste like has any additives, highly recommended it. Overall it was a GREAT experience in NY. I'll definitely come back again.

Yelp
Wonderful staff, great flavors, consistently good. I really enjoyed that I could customize my drink based on sugar level, amount of ice, etc. Such a wide variety and such a wonderful company.

Yelp
If I would give this place no star I will!!! We were to this store around 8pm and I know they close at 10pm. The lady with blond hair with HORRIBLE attitude. She show me her back after we call her 3 time. Me and my friend was shock by her and FINALLY she turned the back with no smile, no hello and no word? If you don't like your job, please quit.

Dylan F.

Yelp
I love this damn place. Yea is so good and I'm a regular! Please please check out if your in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
The staff at this location are such a delight to be around! I love stopping in to say hi to them and I always ask for their recommendations. They are quite knowledgable and make me want to keep coming back. One thing I will say, is I am a MASSIVE fan of the Lava Pearls. I was very sad when they were gone. It would be really nice to have other bubble options besides the normal tapioca balls. I would pay extra every time to be able to have the lava pearls on a consistent basis and I would come much more often than I do currently. They were the best part of the menu. I will continue to cross my fingers! Otherwise, wonderful location and looking forward to going back!
google avatar

Oshrie Z.

Yelp
Place is terrible they give you really small straws so when you drink the bubble tea the bubbles don't go up the straw. Otherwise I'm sure the place is great but the whole purpose is to drink it out of the straw not have to pull the straw and suck out the bubbles are getting stuck at the bottom . the solution is a wider straw so what if it cost a little bit more money better than getting dirty
google avatar

Tung T.

Yelp
Every time I go here, I always order the grapefruit green tea with aloe. In my personal experience, this place makes it the best out of all the places that I've been to. The aloe and grapefruit they use tastes very fresh.

Gloria L.

Yelp
$6.25 for a small hoji cha bubble tea? I saw the "new" sign and decided to try it. I'm happy to pay for quality, but the tea taste was weak, it was not fragrant and the boba was nothing special. I can't believe I overpaid for a poor quality product.

Robert S.

Yelp
I regard myself as a bubble tea aficionado. I have been across the country and globe tasting bubble teas far and wide. Coco's is by far the best bubble tea place that I have ever been to. Their myriad of flavors coupled with an expansive menu ordain this fine tea establishment as supreme over all others. Upon first glance, finishing the generous helpings of boba seems like an unsurmountable feat, however, once you taste the succulent boba, you know that you are exactly where you belong. This is far better than any other bubble tea place, for those are simply futile attempts to possess the true gift that Coco's provides for its loyal customers. Take Tea Magic, for example, the closest thing to 'magic' that they possess is having a location now only two blocks away from Coco's. At least their employees can know what it is like to have TRUE bubble tea when they make their journey back to the Mecca of bubble tea itself: Coco's. I recommend that everyone go to Coco's, it will change your life for the better.

Todd L.

Yelp
I've been going to the old location on 72nd street for years and the new location is a nice upgrade. After waiting for months for it to open up, I finally went in and got a bubble tea, exactly the same as how I remembered it. Coco is an excellent chain, they are definitely top 3 on my favorite bubble teas (I've tried way too many places ). They also literally have thousands of locations outside of the US so they aren't some random place. I've lived on the UWS my whole life and this is definitely the best. The boba is chewy and sweet( unsweetened boba is gross) and it's pretty much fresh all the time. The location is also convenient, right next to the subway. If you are a bubble tea pro (whatever that means) or if you've never tried it before, this is the place for you. (Pro tip: if you don't like your bubble tea so sweet, ask for less sugar. I prefer 70% or 50%)

Yelp
I'm so glad they haven't closed! Nearly had a heart attack when I went for my weekly (ok, sometimes a lot more than that) bubble tea fix and they were gone. Turns out they just moved to a bigger more modern space. The neighborhood is saved!

Adrianna M.

Yelp
Quick, tasty, and perfect for a summer day. I walked up from around Columbus Circle to pick up bubble tea from here. No regrets, I just want to get more!

Dedenne P.

Yelp
Coco for the gogo! You haven't lived until you've tried Coco! No kid has ever not loved Coco!
