If you are looking for a Great Wolf Lodge Experience...THIS IS NOT IT!!! I give 1000% to my jobs, and so when I spend my income, I want value. Over 450 for two nights, breakfast, and water park for 4, only had 3, but had to pay for 4, waste of money!!! Rooms were outdated. bathrooms were small. Stay in the tower, not the pool view - will pay more. AC needed to be fixed, and the staff was very responsive. breakfast - first morning... we there at opening, food was cold had to use microwave to heat up. Again- staff was responsive and offered a refund. BUT manager failed to give refund. On the day I checked out, I had to go and talk to another manager for a refund. I could have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and paid half and received the same breakfast. Water Park....don't get me started. There were not enough tubes for everyone, and I had to wait till people were finished. Slides were typical of a city water park. which, in reality, is what this is. Just your average run of the mill water park.....resort is a very big stretch! No need to spend more than one day at this park. Hot tub was great! The water was hot. This experience was 2.5 stars at a 5 star rate. Will not be back.

Stayed in CoCo Key in September 2024 and me and my family keep talking about wanting to go back here again ASAP! Brilliant hotel, very friendly staff and a perfect location for your trip to Orlando. Right in the middle of International Drive, you have dozens of restaurants and shops within a 5-20 min walk for whatever you fancy. Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Free Shuttle buses every morning to Disney World and Universal just outside of the hotel was a huge benefit for us. No resort fees also. Beside reception there is also a self-service shop. So you can buy snacks, food, drink and even products like razors and deodorant. Beside this was a Universal desk with an employee giving information about the parks, as well as signing you up for the shuttles. Inside the hotel the rooms weren't anything amazing, but the view we had was great and the AC was a life saver as you could imagine. Another huge benefit to this hotel are the outdoor pool and sunbathing area in the center, and also the huge waterpark and arcade section at the back. This kept the kids very happy and busy when we wanted a day's rest from the parks. Me and my oldest loved running about all day in the multiple slides and flumes. Honestly, if we planned a holiday to Orlando again in the future, CoCo key is the first place I would look! Thank you all staff for making it such a memorable time.

Google
I saw some 1 star reviews. But we still went. We were glad we went. Though the resort is not brand new it was build in the 70’s. They renovated it. The staff, the rooms and the water park was great. My family and I had a great time here. The VIP package was worth the money. Joliza was very accommodating. I can say the best part is the covered pool area. Everything is a few steps, food, bathrooms. The price is better than any other water park.

Google
I was pleasantly surprised! I was a little iffy due to the fact it was more of a motel type situation but the rooms were clean and looked remodeled. The water park was very fun and the arcade was nice. The beds could have been more comfy and the water faucet was leaking. It’s in a great location.

I was pleasantly surprised with Coco Key. The water park kept us entertained for hours upon hours. Breakfast buffet had everything you expect from a continental breakfast. The Starbucks closed a little early for me. The bedrooms are much better than you expect, but the bathroom shows its age. Everything was very clean though. Can’t recommend this place enough for families with younger children.

Checking in:|There was false advertising on the website for booking regarding the room and the facilities. The lady at reception who checked us in was rude and said that the room was ready but said we had to wait (30mins) before going in the room even though we got there after the checking in time. She also gave us a map and circled the wrong room. Not friendly nor welcoming. ||Hotel room:|There was rust on the bed lights which didn't even work. The safe had a cockroach in it. There was a door near the bathroom which I guess another guest had to which they kept fiddling with. The bathroom tap is way to small for the sink as you wash your hands you make water go everywhere as it doesn't reach the sink. The sofa bed was dirty and looked like had sweat stains on the cushions when turned into a sofa. The AC was loud, there was thin blankets. The chain flush for the restroom hardly worked and was tiny. ||The bath water was either too hot or too cold. The plug was strange just fitted the top but not secure at all. Gave us towels but they were tiny only covered a small part of your body.||Tissue box was half empty.||Swimming area:|The water was freezing, the only warm one was the one the sun was hitting but that pool was very dirty. It had hair, eyelashes, bugs and just dirt floating around. We was in the pool and the whistle went off and the lifeguards did jump in and help Timmy the manikin but everyone in the pool was so scared and freaked out because we didn't get a warning. ||The outdoor water park was fun and entertaining, just not enough staff (lifeguards) watching out and monitoring the area outside.||The arcade:|The arcade was fun had many different activities for children of all ages and adults too. Some things didn't work. You do have to purchase a game card. When you top up or buy one do swipe to look for more offers as its hidden on the screen. The choices of selection when choosing a prize with your tokens is not necessary good as you get little for the amount of tokens you have.||Breakfast:|The breakfast was very easy going, the first day the server checked our voucher and let us in. She didn't really care about who came in as she was busy talking to her colleague and cleaning tables. When she did check people in she'd be in a rush. There were only two people staff wise.||Food was decent, didn't really have a variety of vegetarian or vegan options just fruit and toast. Looked clean and well presented. Tiny tiny shot glasses for your juices, meaning we had to make several trips up to get more.||The second day Sandra was absolutely amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Complementing my daughters, asking us how we are, introducing herself and telling us enjoy. Very positive and even coming over asking if we'd like a highchair for our baby. Just great politeness and wonderful hospitality skills. Food had pancakes this day and orange juice didn't work, they didn't have baby friendly plates or cups but that fine we brought our own. The jam was there own kind and it was delicious. When leaving Sandra wished us well and to have a good day. Which put a smile on our faces.

Google
The service is slow. Last year was great! This year they have new people who don’t assist or will have you waiting 2 HOURS for your room due to “an inspection” from maintenance. When someone checks in, they should maintenance the room in a reasonable time. They charging people different prices online and different at the resort. Then someone from management came to me stating that check in time is at 4 when they have been checking everyone in and giving them their room numbers. The lady told me 1-2 hours not 4PM. This time around I’m NOT liking the resort !

Google
We loved the price of this hotel especially with what it had to offer! The water park that’s included in your stay is amazing for all ages! It’s safe, clean, big, and it has areas for not only older kids but younger kids as well which I appreciated because I have 3 young kids. They let us have access to the water park before we got our room so that our kids had something to do before we were able to check in. Everyone who works there is really nice and helpful. It’s not far from the airport so it’s nice if you have to fly out the next day, we had an early flight so having a hotel that was close but also had something fun for our kids to do was essential. The rooms are big and spacious and fit our whole family of 5 easily in 1 room with 2 queen beds. I honestly wish I could give this hotel a 10 star review. If you are looking for a clean, nice hotel with a VERY nice water park for a good price this is the one you should book.

Yelp
We got free tickets for two dates with an "end of year" promotion. Even so, it wasn't too crowded...we'll be back next month! My 7 year old had a blast. She went on most rides alone (water was WAY too cold for me). Most families seemed to be doing the same...the park is small with lots of staff present.

Yelp
When we arrived to check it they only had one service rep so it made things difficult with the Long line. When we entered the room it had like a old odor like it had not been attended too before check in, the carpet was worn in spot & shower rod had rust on it along with the ac running hard & loud. Other than that the kids enjoyed the water park there several times so it was ok

Kristina A.

Yelp
OK, this place you get what you pay for the rooms and bathrooms were not the cleanest by any means and the pool area was kept pretty clean. I don't have any complaints there. Breakfast is absolutely horrible. Everything's either overcooked or undercooked so I suggest either you walk next-door to Dunkin' Donuts or just bring a cooler to your room and keep all your food there because honestly, even though the breakfast is pay for an adult, get a child free it's kind of gross but other than that all in all can't really complain like I said you get what you pay for.

Blair C.

Yelp
Coco key has become a family favorite for a weekend getaway. My kids love it here. We always select a poolside room so that we can overlook the water park. My favorite feature is that they provided bracelets as room keys which is amazing so that you don't have to worry about where to put it! I'm not sure if they still do it as we didn't get that option the last time we went. The water park is big enough for me to feel comfortable allowing my oldest to roam around in and it's not too small to whereas the adults can't join in on the fun. There's many options when it comes to entertainment, with pool/foam parties, DJ's and an arcade. I love that they offer the breakfast buffet as well as other food options whether you choose to order in the resort or walk down the street as it is perfectly located near several dining and outside entertainment options. We definitely will continue to go here.

Daynel M.

Yelp
Everything was perfect! Food was fine. Horrible weather. Slides are fun! Rooms were OK.

Chris H.

Yelp
For kids under 10. Not enough tubes for everyone you will have to wait. Had a 1 hr rain delay then an 1 of anyone using the large park. Forcing you to buy their food and drinks $$$. So in an insulated cup $21 and $18 refill. The same for an alcoholic adult drink . Staff is a bunch of rude kids working here. Not enough tubes for everyone. We will not be back plenary more water parks in FL. I might pay more but much better service.

Lawrence U.

Yelp
Went here for a kids birthday party. It's a decent water park. Has 3 slides, kids area, and a covered heated pool. Plenty of lifeguards. They also have an arcade area in the dinning. Food prices are pricy for the quality. Very limited choices.

Stacy S.

Yelp
Let me be the million person to say This should not be labeled as a resort I'm going to pray when I go to front desk in the am , I get help . I let the phone ring to front desk & no one picked up . Me & my entire family has Ashtma. I also have a senior citizen with me this is bad for all of our health . This room smells like mold & mildew (FILTHY). I even sprayed air freshener & went brought a candle i'm scared to light. THE SHEETS SMELL LIKE VINEGAR & OLD . Not a fresh smell at all . We drove 16hrs from Houston to enjoy our daughter 10th birthday. I'm very dissatisfied this is very unsanitary & a disgrace . There is also bugs flying in the room my son literally killed 3 within 30 mins . I also saw 2 roaches while in the restroom I'm scared more may be in our beds they have to do better . The way the lobby looks you would have never thought the rooms was in this condition at all . The lady Ashanti was so nice while checking in but these rooms are VERY OLD & A BIG JOKE FOR THE MONEY WE PAID . I will be extremely sick if I stay here another day. It's 3:00am I woke up to extreme itchiness in this bed GOD this hotel needs to be shut down !!!!!!

Irene R.

Yelp
It was dirty, motel 6 with a seedy vibe. I was paranoid of bed bugs and couldn't sleep at all. My kids had fun. The slide water however was crazy cold and they wouldn't go down it. Staff was friendly but that hotel motel dump needs an overhaul. The lobby is deceiving. Looks so nice and fresh but the rooms are trash.

Dudine J.

Yelp
My husband purchased a Groupon mystery getaway for $199 each person. I guess this was our way of being more adventurous. Two weeks before our travel we received the email with our flight and lodging information. I did not read reviews as I wanted to have an open mind. The establishment charges $35 for parking and $45-$46 daily in resort fees. Upon checking in, you are given wrist bands which are also your room keys. You are also given a key card to access the parking lot. A brochure with map and details of activities was also provided. We stayed in a connecting room with a couple of doors connected to two rooms. I am not a fan of connecting rooms unless I am with family. We stayed in room 4104. The room was clean. We had two double beds. The beds and pillows help up well. The towels were thin and short. The toilet flushed, but you had to hold the level until all water flushed down. Cleaning service is offered for guests staying 4 or more nights. Fresh towels and trash removal is offered daily to all guests. I looked online to see their prices, and based on the prices I found, I do not believe the value is there.

Yelp
Every year we take our kids on a trip before summer ends and the school year begins. August 2022 this was the hotel we chose, we did 2 days and 1 night and honestly it was more than enough time to realize it wasn't a place we would visit again. We saw the water slide from the highway every time we passed. The waterslides are fun but with the limited hours and Florida weather both days we had to get out of the water very early. The hotel itself felt dated and the room wasn't as clean as you'd expect. Nothing is included in the cost of the room so we did breakfast, lunch, and dinner outside of the resort. The pools didn't feel clean and neither did the pool deck or surrounding areas. I waited over 25 minutes in line for our "free drink" and another 30 for our paid drink! They only had one bartender working when the hotel was at capacity. Most of the games in the game room weren't working. It's a decent hotel, just needs to be run better!

Phia V.

Yelp
It's a hidden gem. For me, it's a perfect getaway. It almost has everything. There are lots of vending machines and ice makers. Love the cotton candy vending machine. A restaurant with an arcade. A bar for adults and Starbucks. Gym and lots of chairs to hang out with. My room pool view was okay. Price wise is great. ... We enjoyed our stay. We eat, play, and swim. It's for family with small children. ...

Dawn L.

Yelp
I'll start by saying this place is literally OK. It's not amazing, it's not terrible. Could it be better? Yeah. We've been here twice and the rooms we stayed in were fine. Clean and decently comfortable. I always check every hotel room for bed bugs every time and have never found any evidence here. So no complaints on the room. The water park is nice, it's the only reason we come here really. They always have plenty of towels for all the guests, however you're not allowed to take the towels out of the water park area and into the locker room, and there's no towels in the locker rooms, so that's annoying. It seems like there's always a few waterslides that are shut down. And on a busy Sunday, they shut down half the waterpark for a foam party that didn't even start on time. The majority of guests were sitting around waiting, unable to go on any slides until the foam party was over even though only one small area was being utilized for the foam. Then it took an exceedingly long time for all the foam to be cleaned up so that the rest of the waterslides could be used again. So, if you're going here for the waterslides, be aware that a foam party could take place and effectively shut most of the slides down. Anyway, this place is definitely overpriced for what it is, and charging a resort fee on top of it is kind of ridiculous since this is definitely not a resort. But it's decently fun, so there's that.

Allison B.

Yelp
Start by saying we only came for the water park and the place is a little run down, but everything is in working order - a great place to take younger and not so young kids for a day at a water park! The staff was super friendly and helpful when I accidentally left my phone behind in one of the paid lockers. The lifeguards were very attentive and the teens running the slides made sure that the older kids didn't run over the littler ones waiting to go down the slides. There's a covered area so that even little ones aren't stuck out in the sun for too long and you have a place to keep your towels dry during the occasional afternoon shower. Overall my 4 and 7 year old had a blast and there was enough to keep them occupied there for the full day.

Celise K.

Yelp
ROACHES. ROACHES. ROACHES! the water park is nice but the rooms are disgusting. i saw 2 roaches in my room. It was 1 am and I checked out immediately and requested a refund. From the staffs reaction, I can tell that this is a common occurrence. I was told that someone would reach out to me regarding the issue but...nothing. No one answers the phone. Ever. So I stopped by 2 days later and requested to speak with a manager. The girl at the front desk was very dismissive but she got the manager quickly when I began speaking to a potential customer. It's such a shame. This place has potential but me taking roaches home is a non negotiable. The vibe I got was that the staff didn't care so I know the infestation will only get worse.

Mercy A.

Yelp
Great family friendly hotel with an indoor and outdoor water park catered more for the younger crowd but there is a regular pool closer to the front desk area and some cool water slides that teens and adults can enjoy as well. They have everything from cheap to a little expensive such as food mart, gifts shop, game room, restaurant, ice cream and poolside bar and grill, laundry facilities and lots of shaded areas to relax at. Rooms are standard decor they do have kid suites and walking distance to numerous restaurants, stores and activities! Only few minutes to Universal Studios!

AC C.

Yelp
Great check in experience! Mr. More was very helpful and polite! Answered every question and informed us about other things we haven't thought of. We had a very late check in and he was waiting and made our check in very easy and quick. Our room was nicer than I expected. Comfy beds, great air conditioner, fridge and etc. The property has everything! Laundry, arcade, and other perks outside of the water park.

Greg R.

Yelp
Shame on Universal for partnering with this property. Unsanitary. Hotel room was very, very gross. See my photos. Like many other guest reviews state, we had to check out early and go to another hotel. I don't even care about a refund. This place is ghetto. What appears to be pubic hair in bathtub, rust and massive dust on air vents, unknown cream colored "stuff" on mirror and floor....see photos. As a father, I am embarrassed to have had my kids stay in such an unclean hotel. We were here over the holidays and we couldn't change hotels as there were no vacancies anywhere until the last night. (It is actually a motel, which makes the "resort" fee laughable.) we didn't use the "waterpark". If the room wasn't clean, imagine the cleanliness of the water. Staff is great and helpful. In this market I assume it is hard to keep good staff and I am guessing these outstanding employees leave after a while to go to a better property.

Frank D.

Yelp
Great weekend. Tons of family things to do. Recently renovated. Many new upgrades. The hotel keeps improving over the years.

Shannon V.

Yelp
The room smelled musty, there is a big space in the room with nothing, would have been nice for a table and chairs. Found 2 bed bugs. No microwave. Beds move easily on the laminate flooring and also are very creaky when you get on and off. Water park is decent however the floors are rough and my skin is tore off. If you really want to use this Waterpark I would recommend staying at a different hotel and getting a day pass for just the water park.

Zahaira B.

Yelp
Supppppppppper fun good fun for summer and birthday parties for the girls and boys your kids are going to love it

Leatherface I.

Yelp
They sold my room after driving almost a whole day to Florida, and they can't even transfer it to another one because they're sold out. Conclusion: They don't care about their customers, there's a reason their rating is 2.0

Erin M.

Yelp
The resort was better then I was expecting due to the reviews that I read as we pulled up to the hotel. The rooms were nice but the bed was definitely not comfortable to the point I woke up sore both mornings. The kids loved the water park and adored their first aid lesson taught by the staff. We were there for a Girl Scout event and they even earned a patch. The rum punch made me feel like I was back in Jamaica. Some of the negatives, house keeping didn't come until almost 530 pm so we were back in the room and the beds were super uncomfortable.

Lia R.

Yelp
If you want the most honest review of my experience please read this. We stayed for one night after not being there for over 2 years, and let me tell you just skip this "resort". It used to be good until its downfall. Staff: The staff is just lazy, rude, and just a bunch of kids working. Some staff was okay. Food/Drinks: If your looking to get Starbucks because it's convenient. Well don't, its 11.45 for a Grande Caramel Macchiato... And they only have 2 sizes Grande and Venti. The food at the buffet is nasty, its either super dry and overcooked, or super soggy and under cooked. Everything is just bad and over priced. Check In/ Out: The Check in/out at the resort is nice, they have a pretty decent decorative style. They do give you these yellow or orange plastic wristband. They do have a pointy end that hurts so just cut that off if needed. Just know that ONCE YOU PUT ON THE WRISTBAND AND CLICK IT ON YOU CANT TAKE IT OFF. That is the most important and I learned that the hard way. Resort in general: The outside of our room smelt like rotten eggs, we took a walk around the resort and the whole placed smelt like that. When it was raining, the day after the roof was still POURING water down, it ended up all over someones car and they couldn't get in. They have an arcade which was decent in price, it was $25 for 100 playing credits on a card they give you. Its 8 credits for most games and 9-10 on some other games. Conclusion: Although the resort in looks, its pretty nice, I would not like to come here again. The food, terrible. The staffing, poor. The rooms, good. The pool, dirty/smelly. The experience was overall okay-poor.

Yelamis C.

Yelp
The worst experience ever, I left the hotel and I still had one night paid , the hotel . The water park is full as they let people that are not at the hotel just pay for the water park like is a huge water park when is not and that makes the park extremely full that you can not even move literally you have the people on top of you. The breakfast is super bad and there is no place to seat a huge line to get the breakfast and is bad . I used to come to this hotel every year but this is my last visit, I don't recommend to any person and if you have kids even worse, there are so many places even shipper with a better service

Justin H.

Yelp
The lobby is shiny and clean, but don't be fooled. We checked in, to discover there is a lovely hidden extra fee of $100 bucks upon checking in (that explains why it was so affordable on a search engine). Then head to the room to find stains on the pillow, hairballs on the floor and it looks like a badger was set loose upon the bedframe and walls. Their only saving grace is that you can text the manager and ask them to clean the room (which is sort of bare minimum expectation one would hope). If you have 6 children and you are used to such environments probably don't matter much and $100 bucks to unleash your children upon a small water park for the day is nothing. If you seek basic amenities, seek elsewhere. I discovered it is difficult to get into Universal and Disney from anywhere BUT their own resort hotels. So if you are hoping to commute every day, just bite the bullet and stay at their resorts.

Gabriella G.

Yelp
Stayed last night at this hotel- it's a average. Has a water park for the kids which is nice.

Lisandra A.

Yelp
this place have never been the cleanest, but this time was more than dirty, dirty towels, dirty mirror, painted mold in the ceiling. smell super bad, like is wet all time. the location is good and my son love the water park, thats the only reason I stay again. And I just take a few pictures , the first day I just found a towels with number 2 rolled with the clean ones, I am on vacation and I don't want to ruined it for the kids because they were exited about the water park, because I want to leave as soon as I get into the room. Hotel has my information just in case they want to contact me, I show the pictures to the ladies on the front desk before check out.

James D.

Yelp
Great place for the kiddos The bar by Pool was a plus for me. Every and any restaurant is in walking distant. Awesome location after driving for hours on the road. "LET THEM BABIES GET ON THE SLIDE INTO THE POOL"

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Hidden gem for sure. Check in was at 4:00pm, but we were able to access the park as soon as it opened. Everyone was friendly in the lobby and working really hard to get to everyone's needs. As for the waterpark: I loved that the areas are sectioned off so kids are contained. There were lifeguards everywhere and they were really watching. One jumped in to rescue a little that mom missed coming down the kitty slide. The water was cool which was so nice in this awful heat wave. We had lunch at the grill first. Love that they had cool kids seating with a theater screen playing a Disney movie. Kept my ADHD daughter mesmerized while we waited. Our lunch was pretty good. When we got to our room it was very clean and clearly remodeled. Location is great. We were just down the run from tons of shopping and restaurant options. Then the price of it all.... We stayed one night, 4 of us, two days pass to waterpark and it was under $200. Talk about a deal! There's a Starbucks, gift shop, grill, breakfast, arcade, another pool with spa, and kids entertainment with foam parties at certain times. What a great quick last minute family get away on a budget.

Corrina S.

Yelp
Be ready for hidden fees as soon as you check in. The breakfast buffet was mediocre, not worth $18 in my opinion. The rooms are just ok. There were a few places that were missed during cleaning; bedside tables, tv stand, desk. Bathroom was clean, bed linens were clean, towels and wash cloths clean. Staff was friendly, seemed to me that everyone stayed busy and did not slack. Facility was clean overall as far as the water resort, public bathrooms, lobbies, restaurants, etc.

Faith W.

Yelp
Great fun you don't have to stay here you can get a water park pass. Best savings was getting it on Groupon good food a little pricey but their deals made it more cost effective. Great for Bad weather days they have a covered area and an arcade

Jaee M.

Yelp
This place really deserves zero stars - hotel is outdated and looks more like a motel 6 with a water park than an actual resort - upon my arrival we had to wait until the next day to receive our wristbands for the water park. Only to be hassled the next day about having to verify if we had in fact received them. - the service here is horrible. Requested my linen be changed & instead of changing the bed linen we received mildly clean towels and offered tea because "they could not change the sheets" it was really unclear as to why - a water park with a laundry room that is completely use at your own risk. Staff are not responsible if the machines take your money - they prefer for you to call the place directly. They offer no solutions that are geared towards making the situation right for guest. My 7 year old legitimately said he was scared of staying here. Despite seeing the water park area - so I feel like this speaks volumes of the appearance from a kid standpoint. I wouldn't recommend staying at this roach motel a single night. The service sucks, everything's outdated, the staff have a very nonchalant attitude about providing even the most basic accommodations.

Kim V.

Yelp
We stayed there three nights and two days on a long weekend getaway. We were in the area to head to the parks; it's close and convenient to it. They also offer a free shuttle to the parks. Check in was at 4 pm; we got there a little early and they were preparing our rooms still. They were able to squeeze us in a bit earlier since we just want to get settled in. Check in was easy. The room was clean and dated. The shower pressure was good and hot. Our sink was clogged or something, the water went down really slow. I found it weird they didn't have curtains, I felt like people can see through the cracks of our blinds. You can definitely hear people walking back and forth right outside; they started early too! We were right next to the convenient stores so it was a high traffic area. The waterpark was pretty big. They had three high water slides; I got on two. There's a kids section as well. The tiki bar was pretty nice; loved their key lime margaritas. I can't say much about the restaurants because we didn't dine in there. The convenience store was on the pricey side. If you have kids, they will probably love this place. We hung out at the quiet pool area with a hot tub. Overall, it's a decent place to stay; not fancy but still nice and we were mainly there to sleep. Ps. They do charge a resort fee like most places around here.

Yelp
Come for a weekend get away and had a great stay in Coco Key. They have the basic and they have a nice service. Our double queen room was great, clean, and comfortable. They keep their pools clean and they also have a shuttle that takes you to Universal. Everything is in close proximity, will come back. Only thing that bother me was a small water leak problem after we used the shower. Since we couldn't get it to stop dropping small drops of water inside the tub. Which honestly wasn't that terrible.

Yelp
Don't let the waterpark fool you. The first room we got into, in building 5 had roaches in the bathroom. They switched us to another room in building 6 which we thought was a little better until we found "clean" rolled up towels with curly hair wrapped onto the fibers. The bathtub was dirty. When i undid the sheets to lay down, there was a little black pebble that looked like rat poop. Please save your time & money & go somewhere else! The pictures online look nice. This experience is the worst we've ever had. I'm currently laying down feeling like insects are going to crawl on me. DON'T DO IT. Disgusting. Depressing. A $30 motel probably would've been a better experience.

Yelp
Coco key is a nice hotel/resort if your in the Orlando area. There is a Bus takes you to universal studios that picks up right from the resort. There are a lot of nice things about this place and some not so nice things. Let's start with the not so great things. First off the hot tub is more of a mini kids pool. Every time i went there is was kids kids and more kids. Seriously they have the pool that is less than 10 feet away. Let's leave the hot tub for the adults. There are plenty of places for the kids here that they don't need to over take it. Second thing on the list is the game room. At any given time there are multiple games out of order. And let's not forget the smell. It's like a mix of porta potty and deviled egg farts. It really hits you when you walk in. Next is the early 2k shower faucets. I think it's about time they got replaced. Ours was very hard to shut the water completely off. The door between the rooms was pretty much broken but luckily we had both rooms. Door jam looked like it was used as a swat demo. There is "1" smoking area listed on the resort site. Seriously? Only one! You need to have one at least near more than one area. Marijuana is prohibited at this resort but apparently you can smoke that where ever you see fit. And vaping inside the game room or anywhere else is also looked away from. Understaffed might be an understatement for this place as it assures you only need one person in the lunch and dinner area by the game room. With the Orlando weather being how it was with thunderstorms every couple of hours instead of the lifeguards hiding in the "staff room " They should be helping other areas. When the water park is closed for water go help in the areas that are now mobbed with people. Let's do some nice things now. The Starbucks in the resort is nice and the staff was friendly. But keep in mind if your a Dunkin' Donuts fan there is one right next door. The lobby staff is also very accommodating. The water park when it's open is very well maintained as well as the pool area. The breakfast " which in my opinion should be included in the price" was plentiful with everything some cereal to pancakes and waffles ( make your own) . The coffee however was pretty crappy. Powdered instant coffee that looked terrible and tasted worse. Pick up a Starbucks or dunkin before you go. 3 stars is honestly the best I could give coco key. There's just too many things to list in the bad parts but it's still nicer than some other places I've stayed. With a little updating and better knowledge of the creature comforts that people enjoy about resorts the better the review could be.

Yelp
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! They charge you for everything, parking, "resort fee" nothing about this place is a resort. $14 for a cardboard pizza $18 for a breakfast "buffet" that every hotel or place I've ever been to gave you for free. We had a party of 5 but wait, even though we paid for 5 the breakfast voucher they gave us only allowed 2 adults an 2 kids eat one free breakfast so we had to pay full for the 5th. Not to mention the only reason I got a breakfast voucher was after I went to the office and complained because our key cards wouldn't work right after people tried to get in our room at 10:30 pm when my kids in the room and in bed. The maid services came around 1 time in the 7 nights we stayed. We had to ask for towels each night and toilet paper when needed. Now let's talk about roaches, if you don't mind things crawling around your room go right ahead but, it's nasty. I killed close to a dozen!!!! This place need shut down!! They let outsiders pay to come to the pool each day and it's so over crowded, not even one day a week was it just "resort" guests. You want your guests to have a nice time yet you flood the place with outsiders, that's not enjoyable for your guests! Do better coco key!!

Yelp
**STAY CLEAR YOU'VE BEEN WARNED**I wouldn't stay here we had to deal with a hot room that the temp never got below 75-78 this was the only time it hit 73 and that was the first night the second night it was staying at 75-78 because of how hot it was outside it was just miserable I feel like they need to upgrade everything it's so dated and to be honest your better off getting a regular hotel somewhere and just going to the amusement park I just know I will never stay here again only giving two stars because of the concept of the hotel but that's it for 600 dollars it's not all that worth it and they make you pay for stupid things that should be included in the high price. Also I don't feel like they try and really accommodate ppl I herd a lot of upset customers besides ourselves and they literally gave us a box fan for the whole time we stayed there. Also the pictures are so dated do not believe them wish I would have taken a before pic sorry but they are not the same maybe then but not now also they could have the decency to have a microwave we had to waste a lot of food because no where to heat it up at that really sucked. They also need to clean the rooms throughly we found other ppls belongings in there.

Yelp
My Family want on a three day vacation to the International Drive and Old Town Districts of Orlando, FL, one of the main things we did was go to CoCo Key Water Resort which is located inside a hotel on International Drive. We went their for my son's 9th Birthday as part of his birthday gift. My wife was the one who got us all the day passes which we paid $25 per pass for the five of us that went to the water park. I have to say that $25 for a day pass in my opinion was not worth the money. My whole family had tons of fun and there were some great water slides to choose from for you to get all your aquatic fun done. The water resort is split into three section with the first area being more of an area for smaller kids who are just starting out on their aquatic adventure. The second area is just a regular size pool with some sitting area positioned around the pool. The third and final area is where all the big water slides are located and their are three of them they are Over The Falls, Boomerango, and Surfer's Splash. My little dude who is now nine years old went on all the water slides that CoCo Key Water Resort offers and I was so proud of him that he went on all the rides especially the ones that were high up in the sky. You can also stay at the resort since its also a hotel.

Yelp
NOT AS ADVERTISED - the whole place looks like an OLD MOTEL .... elevators are barely moving. Everything is unbelievably outdated. The place hasn't got a renovation in more than 20+ years YOU WON'T GET THE HOUSEKEEPING UNLESS YOU ASK FOR IT. Huge lines at front desk. The only thing my kids enjoyed was the water park. Pools are FULL OF PEOPLE. Nobody is social distancing and so many ppl not wearing masks. People just jump into elevators. I was shocked of the COVID DISOBEDIENCE. Disgusting place. Very dirty looking. You can find a better deal.

Yelp
this is a 1950 broken down motel with a fake resort label on it. I was looking forward to a quiet relaxing week with my family I should have known better. noise all hours of the day and night. room is dirty and dingy half the lights don't work, floor is filthy I went in with white socks came out with black ones. forget a quiet relaxing day by the pool because the "landscapers" will ruin that for you. asked for a non smoking room and got put in a "non smoking room" about 20 feet away from the designated smoking area. guess our asthma should appreciate that. staff is courteous and friendly but this no resort by far... don't waste your time or money! I'm leaving early and putting a stop payment on my card for the remaining days.note the picture of the guy with the blower literally blowing stuff right next to people trying to relax

Yelp
Checked in 12/26/23 for daughter's birthday celebrationn, check in process was smooth. The problem began as soon as we reached to our 1'st room, so room #1 was not cleaned at all, room #2 we were chasing roaches, room #3 air conditioner was broken we slept in sweat the entire 2 night stay not to mention the rooms smelled like mildew. I tried my best to not make spectacle out of the situation but i couldn't hold my self back anymore. Management first offered me $50 off of the stay wich really only covered parking , then as i pushed back on that and demanded more they eventually comped my first night. In my opinion my entire stay should have been free as an ultimate apology. 3 room changes on 3 different floors and me one to tote my family of 5 luggage back and forth so i dont interrupt their fun is exhausting and unpleasant. More could've been done on thier part but the main priority is money not the guest. Definitely will not be returning. This is the sole purpose why i stay in Marriott hotels. Zoom in on pictures.

Yelp
DO Not stay at this hotel. My bed sheets had BLOOD stains on it, the air conditioning system also had blood stains. I came back to my hotel room around 1 AM , I laid my 10 month old baby and my 7 year old son on this bed without realizing how the deporable and disgusting condition the bed sheets and comforter were in. I'm writing this post to warn others and not make the same mistake I did, our job as a parent is to protect our children's, god knows what occurred on that bed. I am appalled at the response I received at Coco Keys when notifying them about this horrible situation me and my children's endured while staying at this Water Park Resort. My daughter is a premie with health risks and having her sleep on dirty, un sanitized sheets could have been a great risk to her health. I also want to let you guys know that CoCo Key did not take this matter serious , they laughed at my face when I brought this up to their're attention. I advised them that I was 99% that this was blood on unchanged sheets used by previous guest prior to me checking in. The front desk manager George proceeded to tel me this was KETCHUP, again I am certain this wasn't ketchup and was blood. Coco Key was able to find me another room at 3AM after numerous times arguing with them , the only reason I decided to go to another room and not booking another resort was because everything else was sold out due to being Thanksgiving week. They did comp me $185 but at this point a full refund should've been given due to the fact of how disgusting the entire room was, again this was my experience and I just want to warn others about it.

Yelp
Awesome water park resort for kids up to about 12-13 yrs old. So much fun! 3 types of water park fun areas with plenty of lifeguards- although the water is not deep. Super fun water slides!!!! Very good safety features- anti- slip/fall walkways thru out the property is impressive. Great arcade! Great for birthday parties- nice set up for that. Awesome tiki bar with awesome drinks poolside in the water too ark area. The grill has limited choices but all good- good pizza and the best ice cream! Breakfast buffet had good choices- a little pricey but one kid eats free per each paying adult. Some guests had food vouchers that were included in their hotel fee- I couldn't find those deals. The rooms are basic and clean- maintenance is quick for any issues. Not luxurious ...but then- kids don't care about that! I highly recommend this resort- and they also have day passes to the water park if you're not staying there as a guest.

Yelp
The best thing for this place to do is shut down for awhile and do a renovation. The 1980s have been over for awhile. The rooms smell like must and makes Motel 6 look like the Holiday Inn. The water park is nothing more than a small kids water park with a few slides. The bar is cash only. Very few outlets in the room to charge anything. We didn't get in till 3 AM and are woken up by the fire alarm first thing in the morning. It was the loudest pitch too that wouldn't even go away with holding pillows over your head. A few minutes later the breaker box blows up. Literally blows up so the power is out and they put us on the fifth floor so that means no air conditioning or elevator. The stairwells are dark with no emergency lighting. This place is a dump and inhabited by some questionable characters.

Yelp
Coco Key Hotel and Water Resort - Thank you for making my visit grand. My family and I had such an amazing time we came back a 2nd time after leaving another hotel that was gross. The location is perfect. There is a Cici's pizza directly across the street, a grocer as well. Next door is a Denny's and diagonal to Denny's is a IHOP. There is also an amusement park at the corner across from the hotel. This hotel had all the amenities, water park, food court, bars at the pools, rides for kids and tweens, clean from the parking lot, inside is immaculate and the best part is wonderful service. Our King room was ready before check in, which was a big help. We felt so comfortable and almost at home. It rained on our visit, but the rides were still open and we made the best of it. The pool near the main entrance stays open until 11pm. They have a hot tube area as well and a side bar that serves virgin drinks for the kids too. Please go here and be a kid again. You won't be sorry!

Yelp
Nice hotel and water park. Met some new friends from England around the pool. Food at the resort was pretty good for fast casual. Only reason it did get 4 stars was because our hot water was out in our room for our stay.

Yelp
The Waterslide's are fun; but the mold and mildew smell in the arcade and restaurant stopped us from eating there. Pretty gross
