Wow, is it amazing how terrible these desserts taste. They look absolutely nothing like their photos in real life and whatever flour they’re using tastes like it has gone bad. Nothing about them is good. Avoid at all costs. Oh, and then there’s that, they also have the audacity to charge a lot of money for these terrible desserts. As someone who has been gluten-free for years, I try and support gluten-free bakeries, but I simply cannot this time. It is the worst I have ever had.

Google
TERRIBLE customer service. I can’t speak to dining in, but DO NOT order from here. I was excited to find vegan cinnamon rolls that ship, but this was a huge letdown. Shipping was delayed, my package was lost, and when it finally arrived over a month later, it was spoiled. The company offered a replacement instead of a refund, but it was never sent. I followed up multiple times with no response. Save yourself the trouble—try Giselle’s Vegan Kitchen or Knead Love Bakery instead.

This review is for online orders only. Hopefully those of you that are local have better luck. I placed an order with Coco Luv back in 2022. Yes, shipping was slow but getting decent vegan desserts shipped to Iowa is worth the wait. In 2025, however, their communication is sorely lacking and their customer service is nonexistent. I placed my order on Jan 6th. Their website says that it can take 10-18 business days to process so I finally emailed on Feb 3rd to ask about the status of my order. They stated that they were behind due to the LA fires. That is unfortunate, but an email letting me know about the delay would have gone a long way. I requested a refund on the same day, never received a response. I requested a refund, again, several days later and was told that it was issued & to wait a few days. I never did receive my refund. Ultimately, I opened a case with my credit card company to get my money refunded. Do not bother ordering from here if you want things shipped to you. Take a warning from me and the other reviewers here and elsewhere. There are so many vegan options now that you do not need to waste your time. They need to remain local or drastically improve their communication with customers.

Amazing gluten free options! I tried 4 different things and EVERYTHING was delicious even the red velvet cake which wasn’t made with cream cheese frosting as it always should. But even with the butter cream frosting it was still moist and delicious. The cinnamon roll was soft and gooey and the churro cookie was yummy! And the Dubai chocolate cake was a limited edition and it was as delicious as it could be! 10/10

ALWAYS READ REVIEWS. I had some of their desserts while visiting LA last fall and was in love. I was so happy to see they could ship nationwide. I even went as far as to follow them on social media and write kind notes to the owners. But every single order I placed (4) has taken over a month without any sort of warning or apology for delay - and the most recent order , placed mid JANUARY, has not arrived as of March 23rd and they’ve completely ghosted me now on. Like other recent reviewers, I tried allowing extra grace because of the fires in LA, but they are ghosting paying customers while their social media is still actively advertising specials and nationwide shipping available almost daily. Do Better. Refund your former customers and scale down your business to what is manageable.

Google
The only reason I’m giving this business two stars is because my prior order was sent per the time listed on the website. Since I had no reason to expect anything other than another good experience, I placed another order on 1/13/25. I still haven’t received my order. This is after allowing for recovery from the LA fires. I did get a tracking number on 2/21/25. Per the tracking number, the USPS still hasn’t received the shipment. Although a subsequent reply said they did ship my order, the tracking number said otherwise and I didn’t get a new tracking number to support this claim. I wanted to love this business. Small businesses are important, and I’m willing to pay for quality gluten free vegan treats. Too bad Coco Luv went flaky. I’m gong to dispute these charges and support professionals instead.

UPDATE: they did get back to me. BUUUT they refunded me the full amount when I only asked for $40 because I recognize they still made and delivered it. I know some are probably like well I isn’t that a good thing they refunded all of your money? No, because some of us like to do what’s right!. they blocked me on Venmo as if I was the one in the wrong when they sold me a cake that was different than what they advertised and then tried to lie about it instead of just saying our gluten-free version, is different than our regular version and that’s really what should be stated and is what should be shown. So yes, I am thankful that they refunded me, but I did not want the full amount because I wanted to pay for what was fair. But because they blocked me on Venmo, I could not repay them the balance. That’s how I found out they blocked me because I kept trying to repay them, but couldn’t find them on Venmo. I found their business account which is old and shut down, right now they’re using a personal account which tells me they probably had some issues in the past. So while not malicious and they refunded me the company just needs to get better at business. They need somebody who solely manning that phone, answering calls and text and taking orders and complaints and refunds etc and I don’t think they would be in half of the mess that they are / were in they wouldn’t have half of the bad reviews they have. Original: They’ll be Jonny on the spot when you order but GHOST when they mess up and you need customer service!!- BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS THEY ARE THEY MADE MY CAKE WRONG / CHANGED THE ICING WITHOUT INFORMING ME OR ASKING ME IF IT WAS OK!!! I ordered my BDay cake. I ordered a gluten free German chocolate cake. They changed the outside of the cake and DID NOT inform me. The picture they show online is a slice of the cake and you can clearly see it’s made traditionally with the coconut pecan icing on the outside ALL OVER as well as inside of the cake as it should be. So I was NOT aware that it would come with chocolate icing on it. I would’ve NEVER ordered it. I HATE plain chocolate anything especially icing yuck!!! A German chocolate cake traditionally is the coconut pecan icing all over it. This new thing bakers are doing to save on using coconut and pecans is not the move. If it’s about money charge more! I do not like chocolate icing nor chocolate cake tbh. I only like German chocolate because of the coconut pecan icing balance. So if it’s more chocolate than coconut pecan icing it’s no bueno for me 😩. I was craving this for two years now. Saw how they made it on their site and was stoked!! Finally a bakery who made it traditionally and GF! Only to be let down on my b day. I only had a small sliver. Was definitely a waste of money for me and did NOT satisfy my craving. I was very grateful that they made the cake on time but I really wish I would’ve known about that change / icing because that was a HUGE let down for me. I wanted the real thing or would’ve at the very least chosen a buttercream or cream cheese icing anything but that chocolate! IMAGINE receiving your RED VELVET or CARRORT CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING! That’s how egregious this is! They get 1 star and if you’re still unsure why it’s because they 1. changed the cake / my order without informing me 3. NEVER got back to me once I realized all of the above!! 4. They use VENMO as family and friends NOT as a business and therefore makes it impossible for customers to get a refund via your bank/cc if they fumble an order etc PayPal will NOT intervene. AWFUL AT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Have no business sense whatsoever! A company that only caters to new customers and doesn’t understand repeat business is not a business at all. Its hustling.

Google
Terrible experience ordering online. Ordered 12 mini cupcakes. No where on the website mentions that the cupcakes will arrive without icing on them and you’re given a huge bowl of icing to do it yourself! Cupcakes were smushed since they moved around in the box with the heavy icing bowl. The box was also terribly handled. Coco luv’s website states that they aren’t responsible for how the boxes are shipped and that they pack things carefully but the evidence begs to differ. I have ordered cakes online from two different bakeries in the past and both arrived in perfect condition and in much better packed boxes. Coco luv needs to use stronger outer packaging, more secured internal packaging (like how cupcakes are at the supermarket), and switch to FedEx and UPS only. If you’re going to ship your goods, do it right. I highly doubt the owner would ship mini cupcakes to their own family and friends the way we received ours.

Yelp
PLEASE NOTE: This was for nationwide shipping. My experience with CocoLuv was underwhelming right from the start. I placed an order and never received a confirmation email; just an immediate charge to my card. After a week of hearing nothing from them, I reached out via social media to ask if they had actually received my order and when I might expect it (it didn't matter how long it would take, I was just never given any information, y'know?). They were initially quick to respond, wanting to know the confirmation number so they could look into it. I explained I never got one, and so I gave them my full name. An hour later they responded, "We shipped it an hour ago." That timing though... The box arrived a couple days later and it was a bit banged up; the confirmation receipt was crumpled and had grease stains all over it. I took a bunch of photos of everything I ordered. Which included: - Blueberry Fritters: As you'll see, these were not blueberry. They were plain, I guess? Which is strange since the options are apple, peach, or blueberry. All of the icing had melted off, and we were left with a very dry, very stiff ball of bread. - Strawberry Danish: Icing still intact! But somehow these had the texture of cardboard. There wasn't enough strawberry filling to help moisten things up either. - Bear Claw Danish: Icing still intact on these too! But, again, the texture of cardboard. As in, I couldn't (literally) bite through the pastry. - Cinnamon Rolls: Most of the icing had melted off or was stuck to the inside of the plastic packaging, and all of the cinnamon sugar filling (which had a gritty, sand-like texture) had fallen to the bottom of the roll. All in all: inedible.

Yelp
This is a vegan shop and their pictures are very deceiving. The slices are very small and brownies are very small for the price you pay. It is absolutely not worth it! On top of it it is a place where there is no phone numbers.I placed an order on DoorDash,(The DoorDash)delivery gal was amazing. There is no phone number, there was one missing item in our delivery. We were credited by DoorDash, but unfortunately, this company has poor customer service. No connecting phones to talk to customers, and the pictures are very deceiving and it is way overpriced for a vegan dessert.

Yelp
I ordered over 100$ of pastries and cookies as a Christmas present for my vegan friends. To make sure it arrived on time i ordered it an entire month before the holiday. Over 30 days later items havent shipped and the company responded to one of my 15 emails saying it was prepared to send out. Holiday came and went and items havent been sent. They no longer are even responding to my emails. Do NOT order anything from this place its a scam and they will steal your money and never send anything.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! I don't know how this bakery has low star reviews, their food is delicious and great quality. I ordered their coconut cake for my son's birthday and peanut butter cookies and chocolate cupcakes and they were such a hit. Highly recommend!

Mary C.

Yelp
The foods was not good and items were too small and too expensive! The store has no telephone number. The bake goods don't look like the website.

Yelp
Well I've been waiting to order from this bakery for a while now. Was excited about the cookie pies and gluten free and vegan options. Got a bunch of cookies, coco dream and some cookie pies. I don't eat sweets much so it's hard not to please me when I do. I can say that all were mediocre at best. Just a bunch of sugar really. Zero flavor. Way too sweet. (Nothing is ever too sweet for me). Cookie pie just a soft cookie in a foil pan that rips so you end up eating the foil. There is no "pie." My other cookies fell apart so I couldn't really eat them. At $7+ each that's beyond bad. The version of a hoho had almost no creamy filling. Just excessive frosting and sugar. And for the ridiculous price. Horrible. Total rip off. Beyond disappointed. I will never order again and wild recommend you spend your money elsewhere. Ralph's bakery would have been better.

Kelly G.

Yelp
In truth, I don't have the words to describe how fantastic this bakery is. Everything about it is perfection. If they hadn't chosen LUV for the name of their bakery, I would have had to add it for them because EVERYTHING is done with LUV and care and kindness. We've been celebrating with COCO LUV since our friends introduced us to them a few years back and we have never ever been disappointed ! They are the real deal and they are THE MOST DELICIOUS deal . So THANK YOU COCO LUV for making all our celebrations so delicious and so loving and so UNIVERSAL.... Delicious for EVERYONE....Vegans - Vegetarians etc . You truly are THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! Actually I need to add additional stars to express MY LUV and my Family's LUV for this

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying my partner generally is not a "sweets" person (I claim that title). But I kid you not, we got the Vegan Strawberry N' Cream Coco Dreams (and have gotten it in every one of our orders since), and my partner suddenly grabbed my shoulder and moaned. I was startled, and turned to look He had ecstasy in his eyes. I thought he was messing with me because I'd been so excited to try this place. But he was 4real. He said it was the best thing he's ever put in his mouth. From the person without a sweet tooth! Anyhow, that is definitely one of their best items. Anything Funfetti is 10/10. Recently got their Vegan Matcha White Chocolate Chip Cookie and GF and Vegan Ube White Chocolate Chip Cookie. Amazing. Probably have ordered 6 times in the last few months. The cinnamon roll was dry but still so good. The pictures on Postmates are not always accurate FYI (I got a non-chocolate covered pb cookie once). While writing this review I opened up my Postmates and had to use my "Orders" instead of going to the bakery because I was afraid. They have new things sometimes and I cannot resist the temptation. Zero stars for stalling my New Year's Resolutions. 5 stars for absolutely sinful treats that don't exploit animals.

Yelp
For what it is, it's good, vegan and gluten free, I think they need to work on their textures. The sizes need to be bigger. What my bf and I tried.. $58 total through uber eats Oatmeal frosted cookie (4/10) - the frosting is good but I think the flaxseed takes away from the oatmeal flavor. The cookie was a bit on the stiff side and has a grainy after taste in texture. Smore Brownie (8/10) - this one had the best flavor. Tasted more like a Hershey fudge piece than a Brownie but still good. Pumpkin chocolate chip bread (6/10) - the flavor is good but maybe should go into a different category. It wasn't really a bread as most of the slice had a gelatin texture like pumpkin pie filling without the crust. Overall good flavor but again, it should be marked as bread. Cookie monster cookie (4/10) - this one was my least favorite. My bf really liked this one which is why I put it at a 4. I think my personal score was 2 or 3. The texture was fine, this had like a flour tasting after taste. Not sure what caused that. If you looked past that it could be decent. Vanilla with oreo. Peanutbutter Brownie (7/10) - there isn't supposed to be jam in here but it did have a jam after taste in some pieces. If you like jam and peanut butter this one might be the one for you. Peanut butter Brownie () -

Yelp
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! My wife ordered these for an anniversary gift and after a few weeks passed she emailed with no response. They took almost a month to ship (website says 10-14 days) and when they finally arrived they were smashed to bits and one of the frosting was busted open and leaking in the box. There was zero damage to the exterior box, just simply packaged poorly. We tried calling, texting, and emailing for a month now with no response. Spend your money somewhere else, these aren't worth your time or money

Yelp
Buyer beware! This place is a scam! I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, received two tiny cookies (slightly larger than silver dollar size) that were RAW. The only flavor I could taste was raw dough and flour. I gagged and spit it out then had to rinse my mouth. Was hoping the lemon blueberry cake would redeem them. You guys this is not a slice of cake or an actual cake. For $11 you get a sliver.. think smallest non portion size and not a slice. It comes wrapped and sealed, crushing the cake toppings to plastic. Worst part is the cake was half super soggy and WET, with a few parts looking stale. I took a bite, it tasted like liquid solid sugar. I spit that out too. Then wondered what it was I just tried eating. I them realized this place must be a prank bakery trolling on people that are GF and or vegan. I am now never trusting a "bakery" on uber eats or postmates. These two things cost me $30. Do you know what really takes the cake? They offer no refunds under any circumstances even for undercooked items. What?! Meaning they know and do not care! There is no icing to this story. Plan on wanting to go on a diet after you try a bite of their stuff.

Foodalicious X.

Yelp
To die for cookies! I am not a vegan, but I think these are some of the best cookies in Los Angeles. BETTER THAN LEVAIN BAKERY! They are better than Crumbl by a country mile. So delicious, I couldn't stop eating them. They are way too expensive though! But taste like heaven on Earth. Mint cookie with mint icing: 5 stars Biscoff cookie: 5 stars Banana pudding cookie 4.5 stars (cookie itself wasn't as gooey but topping was) Strawberry crumb cookie: 2 stars (the topping was hard as a rock, tasted like chalk, and didn't add anything. Use the same cream like you have on the banana pudding and just pit the cookie crumbs in that. Also, the strawberry cookie itself was good but needed to be thicker and fresher, and more moist. Flavor was good of the actual cookie though. Great idea, poor execution. you can fix this easily. has the potential to be amazing.

Yelp
They have the most appalling customer service I have ever experienced. It's so disappointing because their products are decent but beyond the fact that they are insanely expensive, they simply don't care about their customers. I've placed four or five orders with them and there has been an issue with almost every order (receiving the wrong item, not delivering when they said they would etc), so, I have had to reach out multiple times to get clarity. They either take days to respond or don't respond at all. On my last two orders I had to message for help because they issued a refund for an item they discontinued but they did not include the tax that they charged on the order when I received the refund. When I reached out for help, it took days for them to respond and then they told me that I would have to handle the issue on my own and contact Shopify directly. Really? Ok. When I tried doing that I wasn't able to get ahold of anyone because I don't have a merchant account. I then emailed coco luv and they told me they would look into it but of course, they never got back to me. On my most recent order, I ordered the wrong item and reached out to ask to swap out the item and they did actually respond promptly. When they finally delivered my order a week and a half after I placed it, they issued my refund for the price difference to the gift card I used and not the credit card that I also used. Unfortunately, I deleted the electronic gift card as soon as I placed the order so I had no way of retrieving the refund. I emailed to ask them to switch it to the credit card instead and I got no reply. Over the course of a week I sent multiple messages (text, instagram and email) requesting help and though I saw that they not only received and read the messages they never responded. I finally had to tell them that I was going to file credit card disputes on both of my most recent orders if they did not issue the refund. Surprise surprise, they issued the refund and then blocked me on Instagram. On top of all of this, I'm starting to question their honesty in the ingredients they say that they use. They claim that they are all organic and don't use any refined sugars except for their Oreos and marshmallows (which they sometimes mention on items that include marshmallows and Oreos but not always), however, they told me they use confectioners sugar in their buttercream frostings yet they don't post that fact on any items that include their frostings so when you purchase these items you still think they do not include any refined sugars. And when you purchase at guulp or petty vice they don't include all of the ingredients they use on their labels. Just the main ones and there is no mention that the ingredients are organic. Generally when you use organic ingredients it is very clearly stated on their labeling. Moving forward I'm only buying from companies that are completely transparent about their ingredients and care enough about their customers to actually respond to them and do so in a reasonable timeframe.

Yelp
Their baked goods are awesome! Wonderful for allergies and just so good in general. Delivery on Uber eats avail!

Yelp
I can't believe I have ever tried Coco luv before! I was on the hunt for new vegan and gluten free sweets and found them on Uber eats. I ordered a few brownies and cookies and they did not disappoint!!! Everything was so fresh and gooey, but not overwhelmingly sweet. I will most definitely be going to Coco Luv for all of my sweet tooth needs.

Yelp
Amazing desserts! Vegan, gluten-free, naturally sweetened and still delicious! I'm a bit of an expert with this type of desserts and this place is much better than most.

Yelp
Should have checked reviews online before ordering from them. During checkout it never stated that it would take 8-10 days to ship, it's buried at a link on the website. Finally figured that out and when 11 business days had passed and nothing, I contacted them on a Monday and they told me they had just shipped, which was a lie. Asked for tracking and they kept making excuses and not sending it. Friday comes around, a full 20 days after I ordered and since they have ceased to communicate even with excuses, I filed a chargeback on my card. Big surprise, a label was created a few hours later. One big problem, I paid for UPS shipment, receipt says UPS. it needs to go UPS, which is why I made sure it was UPS, and they sent a USPS tracking number. Still just a label created and no further communication, we will see what happens. I'll update if something ever happens. They might be good in person, but about ordering online at all costs.

Adam B.

Yelp
My last three orders from them, I've gotten dessert breads that are completely gooey raw dough on all but the outer crust

Yelp
I am so glad we decided to try coco luv! We got a combo of brownies, coffee cake, & cookies and were not disappointed. All of the brownies were by far the best vegan and gluten free brownies I've ever had. They were gooey, sweet, and had an incredible taste. The chocolate chip Cookies were also amazing (I was less of a fan of the funfetti cookie). Only downside is that it's quite pricey for the portions you get (most items are pretty small and range from 6-10$). They also forgot one of our items but they did refund us for the missing brownie
google avatar

Please D.

Yelp
I'm really pissed. I obviously didn't mind paying $9 for a shortbread bar however, at least make it worth 9 bucks. I'm disappointed in the portion sizes of my desserts. I aso paid $7 for a slice lemon blueberry pound cake and it too, is a very small portion. Instead of a slice, a got a cube. It's so small that the label overlaps the cake. I feel ripped off!!!
google avatar

Me C.

Yelp
Somewhat tasty gluten free treats. Some were bland and some were too sweet. Everything comes refrigerated and wrapped in plastic. Items are a bit pricey, considering that they pre-packaged and served cold. Plus, the plastic tends to squish the items. Also, options are quite limited if you want individual quantities of items vs what is offered on their website. Really wanted to Luv this place. Peanut butter cookie pie - 8.5/10 Slutty brownie - 7.5/10 Funfetti cookie sandwich - 7/10 Coffee cake -6/10 Oreo chocolate cake - 5/10 These 5 items cost about $50

Yelp
I had such a good first experience I decided to order again. Bad idea. No shipping info. Minimal communication when I reached out to the team. Haven't received my product. Thinking about asking the credit card company to reverse the charge. Never ordering from here again.
google avatar

Ron W.

Yelp
yes it took awhile for the delivery, but i was patient. All was good. thank you, will order again.

Kayla Y.

Yelp
I ordered the gluten free brownie and online it is listed as not having nuts. I have a nut allergy so to my surprise, I was shocked when I received the brownie and it is made with almond milk.

Yelp
Paid $50 for $15 worth...Taste was okay but certainly not what you pay for. It's a scam. Don't get it until corrected.

Christian A.

Yelp
Been trying to order from these guys since May 2022. I talked to them on IG and they stopped responding after telling them my address and my order and that im ready to pay. I texted there number and again they stopped responding after already telling them I'm ready to pay for my order. Lol I've never had to struggle this hard to give a business my money lol. I put them on blast on IG and left a comment on their post and they reached out to me in seconds and again they stopped responding and deleted my comment. Anyway it's unfortunate because im literally trying hard to support this business since im gluten free but their customer service is one star.

Nancy H.

Yelp
Please take into consideration when ordering from Coco Luv Bakery, it takes weeks to get your goodies, and they also don't have a phone # that works. There is a phone # listed, and will ask that you text but when you do, don't expect a response. The only way you will get a response is via email and that may also take time. I ordered literally a month ago and finally received my order. The order was clearly lost or fell through the cracks somehow but reading other ppls reviews, seems this isn't a random mistake. Not only is their service underwhelming, the products were just as underwhelming. Won't be ordering from here again, unfortunately. Hope they will work on their customer service issues and response time. I gave a one star for both quality of products and service.

D D.

Yelp
This company is a scam The reviews are accurate. extremely over priced for what you get. overly sweet and i love sugar. they messed up my order like they did for all my orders, the other reviews agree. they gave me 3 instead of 6 pastries. they lie about shipping and i live in los angeles so it's only a few miles from where they are. they stated they don't have expedited shipping when i paid more to get my desserts faster - they do have expedited shipping. As others have warned they send your desserts late (it happened on all my orders and i pay extra to get it shipped faster). THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY because they send less than what i paid for and are terrible at addressing issues you have. I was VERY excited for these treats but don't lose your money to this scam company! 2 out of 3 reviews agree.

Keemia T.

Yelp
Great ingredients great flavor. Most amazing gluten-free bakery I've ever had. I recommend the chocolate chip cookies, confetti cake, and confetti cookies.

Debbie S.

Yelp
First of all I never do reviews. However, I feel that this review is important to let others know before you order. First of all it took 10 days to receive my order and I live in Sherman Oaks, CA. I ordered gluten-free cinnamon rolls which were okay. Gluten-free Apricot pastries, but got raspberry instead. They tasted good. But, wondering if they were gluten free because if they got the flavor wrong then they could have easily just grabbed their regular vegan ones instead. Was a little upset because my favorite is apricot. The gluten free raspberry sweet bread wasnt even thouroughly cooked through. It was still raw, quite disgusting. And the gluten free challah bread was hard and dry not fluffy and soft. Definitely didnt look like what they showed in the photos online. I spent $165 on all this. It definitely wasn't worth the money. I have sent an email a week ago and still no response. Obviously they dont care to fix the problem. I am extreamly disappointed. Horrible service!! Never again will I order from them.
