This was the first time going to Coco Nails, based upon recommendations from friends. I got the basic manicure and Luxury Spa pedicure. James the owner explained the process to me. What an awesome experience if you want to be pampered. Elizabeth did the manicure and Tania the spa pedicure. They were both friendly and attentive to my needs. I joined the free membership program they have and will definitely go back.

I have not gone to any other nail salon since finding them which must be around 12 years ago. The difference between where I had gone and here is incredible! They are clean, do a beautiful job, truly massage my feet so I always get some extra foot massage and are so friendly! I moved about 15 minutes away 3 years ago and although there are many places closer, I drive here amd always will!

Very arrogant. Not personable. Have been going to Coco Nails for 4 years. I’m retired and so I am not as scheduled as I used to be and sometimes not in the area when I need services. I went to the shore and had my UV pink and white nails done there because I wasn’t at home. Yesterday I went back to Coco Nails and they wanted to charge me a full set for $120 because they didn’t like the product on my nails and wanted to remove it!! I was told this after my nails were cut and the old product was removed. The owner rudely spoke in another language to the nail stylist and then told me this. I should have been told this before the work was started. I did not agree and left with my nails unfinished. The owner James loudly said in a room full of people that I had not been there since June and that I made my appointment a day before. So what! Really? So I loudly said back to him that it’s his choice how to conduct his business and left. I went around the block to Polish Nails who accommodated me right away. They were super friendly, reasonably priced and did a fabulous job! When you pay for services like that you want to relax and decompress. It’s a self care day. I felt belittled at Coco Nails. Not a nice environment. Very self serving owner. Unbelievable!!! I’m hoping that the room full of customers who heard my interaction with the owner feel the same way and go elsewhere. Anyway if you should read this review go around the block to Polish Nails!!!!

The color came out good but they were very rough on my nails and they cut up my fingers and cuticles, which has never happened to me before I got them yesterday my nails still hurt and burn.

James and his staff are awesome. We’ve been going here for years and can’t imagine going anywhere else. . The updated chairs are just a compliment to the consistent staff and wonderful services. Very family friendly- and welcomes my little kids to get their nails done. The rewards program is legit and James always tells you when you can use your points! Coco also is very supportive of the community and always donating to the schools. Love supporting this business.

I am beyond pleased with my nails!! Heeyoung did such a good job, she was so gentle and worked fabulously with my natural nails. I’m a very happy customer!!

I write Google reviews quite often because I know how helpful they can be for others, but they have all been good reviews until TODAY! I have NEVER been treated so poorly at a salon before! I always feel kind of rushed with my nails, but I deal with it because Jay does a good job. I get to relax and decompress during my pedi. Not possible today because I was so upset after being yelled at because I wanted to know what an actual color was. It's 19 it's 19 she keeps yelling at me. And I keep asking what COLOR is 19 because it's dark and hard to tell. Could be black, dark grey, dark blue, dark green, etc. She continues to yell it's 19 and then tells me I should go to a different place because I'm taking too much of her time. Don't display colors and designs if you don't have enough time to do them or can't tell a customer what the actual color is! This is the 4th salon I have ever been to in the area in the 18 years Ive been here and I've never encountered such RUDENESS! I was so upset I had to leave without getting my pedicure. Needless to say, I will never go back there and will be returning to WonderPlace where I am treated with kindness and respect!!!

I have been a customer for quite sometime and must say that I have not encountered any other place that provides the quality of service that I get at Coco. The place is clean and has enough stations to accommodate those who are there for service. When Amy is finished with my manicure it is clean and looks beautiful for three weeks. I might be able to go longer since it is such a great job but then my nails are too long.

DO NOT COME IF YOU HAVE NAILS ABOVE UR SKIN. they have a ruler measure system now.. if your nails fall between a certain length (not long at all) you're charged an extra $10 .. if they're above the measuring tool it is an additional $20.

Being a manicurist during COVID isn't an easy feat, however, Coco nails still does a fantastic job. They have put up partitions all throughout the store. There is a partition between the person next to you, and the manicurist. Masks are mandated to stay on at all times. I feel safe coming here. I went for a gel manicure today. I went about a month ago to get a gel manicure and pedicure and stayed on with barley any ware until yesterday. I chipped my nail, so I figured I was due. I had Elizabeth last time, and Lori did my nails today. I have never had a bad experience and all of the manicurists do a fantastic job and are so nice. Everything that I have said in my previous reviews still remain true to this day. Granted, I might have tried different nail salons in the past, I always wind up coming back here. The quality and the service are something that you can not make up for. Your nails will last.

Overall the management are very nice, attentive and welcoming. However - a few months ago I came in to get a pedi for the first time. The owner sat me with Elsa - stating she was new but very good. The appointment went well except for the fact that my big toe on both my feet were different shapes - one square and one rounded. I didn't want to make a big deal about it, but being that I paid a lot for this pedicure and I really wasn't happy with how they came out, I called and explained to the owner that I wanted to get my nails fixed since it had only been a few days (which i was charged full price for again ) When I came in he sat me down with another lady and everything went fine. OR SO I THOUGHT - every single visit there after Elsa has been giving me unfriendly looks. I thought maybe because it just happened she was upset perhaps, so I felt that with time it would pass. It's been MONTHS and still every time I come in, whether for a mani or a pedi she gives me bad looks. I was recently there last week getting a pedicure and she is yet again making faces at me, whispering things under her breath as she passes by me. Truly making me feel very uncomfortable. I'm not sure what she had been mumbling, but the girl who was doing my toes chuckled then paused and asked me if my shapes were okay. I was bothered by this because I had already been to her before and expressed how much I liked her work. I will probably not go back again even though I have been going there for over a year. Truly a shame that they can have such immature staff treat paying customers this way.

I came here with a girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon and this place was PACKED. A lot of hustle and bustle inside and I can see why. This place is the first salon I've been to that offers a membership and allows their clients to earn points to get free services. I get a regular mani/pedi and the color selections were really unique. My girlfriend and I were led to the pedi station where they started our service. This is the first place I've been to where their regular pedicure provides a hot stone leg/foot massage and a leg scrub! It was really nice getting services other than a quick lotion rub on my leg. I'm not sure who did my toes but she was great- I wish they focused on my ingrowns a little bit more, but mine aren't that excessive that it really needed that much attention. After getting my toes done, I was led to their drying station (a little small) to which the nail tech proceeded to give me a quick shoulder massage. I sat at the drying station waiting for a nail station to open up and during that time, I noticed a lot of people coming in and out. I'm not sure if it was crazy busy because of the holidays, but this place definitely didn't lack in clientele. Once a nail station opened up, I sat down and was given ANOTHER shoulder massage while waiting for the tech to get her equipment ready. For a regular manicure, they really focused on keeping the nail clean but spraying alcohol on there but still keeping your skin moisturized. Instead of using towels to lay on the counter when they clip your nails, they used individual paper towels so you KNOW it's clean and not re-used and dusted off. The nail tech asked me if it was my first time and asked if I wanted to join their membership. You get a card that they scan every time you go to earn points. If you pay cash, you earn more points that can get you free services. My girlfriend who gets a gel manicure love the fact they put these gloves on your hand to protect them from the UV light other than your nails and the whole shoulder rub is a huge plus! Before leaving that day, we were given coupons for a free regular pedicure as a holiday gift, which I've never seen other salons offer before. This place is further from me and it's a small town nail salon where the locals come, but we were treated very well regardless of how busy they got and their polish lasted me almost 3 weeks on both my toes and nails. I will definitely come back to use my free pedicure coupon!

This salon was recommended to me by a coworker and I absolutely am in LOVE. This nail tech named Sage is ah-mazing! She really knows how to get creative with me and I am so pleased every time! The cleanliness of the facility and how warm and friendly everyone there is made me feel so welcome for all my visits. The owner and his wife are also very welcoming and they always care about everyone who walks in through their door. They are super super busy so I'd recommend calling and making an appointment instead of a walk-in. For Christmas, the owner and his wife gave me a free pedi coupon which was really nice of them! Trust me, you won't regret it :)

Made an apt for 4:45 and was 10 min late. I walked in and was asked to wait for 15 min I had no problem with that. It has been 45 min and I have still not been seated for a gel manicure. When you walk in the first thing that comes to my mind is a sweat shop. I haven't had my manicure yet but needless to say this is definitely not a spa. I am already going to take my business elsewhere. Stay tuned for how my manicure turns out.. updated review: Got a gel manicure for thanksgiving .., the woman didn't even massage my hands or my back (which is standard with any gel manicure) ADDITIONALLY... my nail chipped after paying $26 for a gel manicure. Let me start by saying that I haven't been to a salon in a few years since the pandemic and have been doing my nails at home. Decided to try this because it was close to home. I made an appointment for a mani and pedi. The place is pretty and clean. Barely a hello at the front door and left waiting for a manicurist who was walking around aimlessly for about 10 min even though the place had just opened and others who came after me were already seated. Pedicure was ok, not great and almost like she was going through the motions and not really doing much. When we moved over for the mani she used the exact same utensils she used on my feet? Not really sure if that's standard practice now but I always had a separate set used for hands. This was a straight manicure and nothing special ( not gel or any other). I guess my first mistake was using their polish - chipped before the end of the day without doing anything like washing dishes or cleaning . Also this place uses hand dryers for your feet? Really? Very disappointed about the fact the polish chipped right away. Had to put a similar color from home to correct it and polished with a quick dry top coat to salvage the rest of the manicure. Hopefully it will last for a few days before I remove and do it myself again. Won't be coming back.

I've been coming to Coco for about a year now, and have been a River Vale resident for a greater portion or my life. Growing up here, and only having the options of Kathy's (now Nail Polish Bar), Eden (now L'atelier de Sophia) and a few others I've never frequented- I was ecstatic about having a new salon to visit!!! I have my favorites Jennifer, Moon, Kevin, Amy, and Lori, but I've practically seen every nail tech here, and never had a bad experience. I always call ahead for an appointment, especially if you consider coming here at peak hrs after work, or on a weekend. You'll quickly find out when you come in that all 20 or so odd chairs that adorn this salon are always full, as well as the waiting area. Expect to hear the complaints of self-entitled house wives in our area too- it's amazing how little some people appreciate great service. Nevertheless, I'm moving to a shore town in the near future, upwards of 2 hrs away, and am still planing on coming home to get my nails done here! No one else I trust!!!

I can not say enough good things about this salon. I have been coming here consistently for about 10 months and have never had a bad experience. The salon is clean and bright and I always am welcomed as I enter. I LOVE my nail technician, or should I say artist, Heeyoung. Not only does she do any amazing job shaping my nails but, she is always coming up with new designs for me to try out. I trust her judgement and am always satisfied with the end result. She is an extremely skilled technician and meticulous with her work. She is funny and personable and makes me genuinely look forward to getting my nails done because I get to catch up with her! She is the top reason I keep coming back.

Been going here for years before pandemic & when they reopened the owners became rude. I like a design on my nails and no one there is qualified. The one time I had a slight design it took a little longer to do my nails and he became angry because it took a little longer to do. it's like a factory with no real attention to the customer. All he's thinking about it $$$ & not much attention to what his clients want. This place went downhill.

First time going; had a regular manicure and pedicure. Charges me an extra $7 for he pedicure and don't know why but the girl did a really ice job and took her time so I didn't mind two much. The manicure, sigh. They were packed and seemed to just rushed through she could take the next person. Convinced me to do the weekly polish ($5 more but okay cool if it's going to last), did two coats and they were streaky and uneven. She redid them and nearly same result; redid two of them after the polish came off when she put the sealer on. I sat at the dryer for 5 mins. Literally ten mins later and there are bubbles, streaks and the polish has come off one of my nails

I had a great experience on a Monday morning in the summer. I arrived right as they opened, hoping they could accommodate a regular pedicure even though I didn't have an appointment. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I didn't need to wait long to start my pedicure, and Sean did a good job. Everything seemed very clean, and they adhere to Covid protocol. The polish is very well organized, which signals that they keep track of age and frequent usage. It seems that they have a lot of gel and powder choices as well. Parking in a lot without meters is also a plus! Definitely make an appointment! I've been searching for my go-to nail salon in Bergen, and Coco will likely be in my regular rotation.

I came once and won't be back. I got french UV gels on my nails and they came out so ugly and thick, it was a terrible experience. A lot of people told me this place was good, but I will assume they just get a regular manicure or color gel. Def not a place to go for french gels.

The best nail salon in this area! I have never had a bad experience here. The prices are fair and the reward system is amazing. For every dollar you spend, you get a point. If you pay cash, you receive double points. Points can be redeemed for a free eyebrow wax, pedicure, green tea spa pedicure or $50 certificate (depending on how many points you have). The only recommendation I have is to make your appointment in advance, especially if you are planning on going during the weekend. They fill up quickly! I highly recommend Lori. I always make my appointments with her, she's the best!

I came here for a mani pedi after coming here for years. Once they burnt the skin off my eyelids when i got them waxed here so i haven't gotten my eyebrows done here in forever. then today they spent a total of 8 minutes on my entire pedicure. i pay for the experience not just the nail polish. terrible massage, the girl didn't even file my nails or ask if i wanted them filed. lastly, the hygiene?? she didn't even put a cover or towels on the foot rest. who knows how many feet and shoes have touched that??? i look around the salon and apparently it's the new custom??? boi you bet your bottom dollar if i contract some foot disease i'm reporting this shit to the better business bureau and that's the mf tea

Probably the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to, they have every new color in stock and never make you wait. Extremely friendly staff. Unlike other nail salons which use the same files and utensils, they clean them up hospital standards and use new files every time. They have a reward card which now next time I get a free pedicure. My nails always come out perfect.

The owner to this place is absolutely rude. I was in there getting my 5year old daughter's first pedicure and he came out if the back to yell at some woman. He told her to "sit anywhere" buy then when she asked the lady about doing her nails he yelled more at the customer that she can't be done at that station. And to go to another station. It was completely unprofessional and completely inappropriate for my child to have witnessed. I will not be recommending this place to my wife...

They did such a great job on my nails when I came in. I had a great experience with a clean environment and tub for my pedicure. They don't rush through your massage on your feet for the pedicure. My friend had a busted toenail and they did a great job gluing it and making it look beautiful. I think they did an amazing job on both our toes and I will definitely be back! Great value for the money.

Great nail salon in the area. The new management clearly knows what they are doing compared to the last. They are so warm and welcoming and they do not rush you. Also the facility is cute and CLEAN and I mean really clean (especially compared to other local salons)! They offer a variety of services, most popular being manicures and the gel manicures. Appointments aren't needed but could not hurt. Sometimes (especially on weekends) there can be a wait. Prices are on par with the other salons. I like coming here for the cost, cleanliness, and the quality of work. My manicures last!

This used to be my all time favorite nail salon. Before they were so established you received a mani and pedi where the time to do a great job was allotted. Now, it's like an assembly line. In addition, the owner was always eager to please and made sure you were happy. Now, don't dare complain... you will not be treated the same. I will be going elsewhere

This place has decent prices but the work is just fair and i don't think they're that clean. In the back they have mostly spanish girls who greet you with a big smile and try to please. Fact is, I got a fungus in my big toenail, probably from there and the girl who spoke limited english wanted to glue my already broken and about to fall off nail which would have hurt i'm sure. I will not be back, i already found a better place. And the manicure didn't last at all.

Do NOT go here. This place is the perfect example of a small town nail salon that lost the notion of the difference between quality and quantity. Years ago they were welcoming and grateful with their regular customers. Now you walk in to grumpy overworked faces, no greeting, no accomodations for future appointments, just "We're full, no time for you" responses. They forgot that getting your nails done is not a duty, but instead, a pampering experience for females. All my highschool friends and I from Emerson were loyal to this place, but sadly they have pushed us away for good. As another review appropriately described this place, its become "an assembly line". I hope they read these reviews and change their ways again before they are left with no customers.

This place is the worst!! Over expensive. Rude employees. I went there today with my family for group pedicures. The ladies kept making fun of my grandmother in Spanish. Then my pedicurist didn't offer me a back massage when I was drying my toes. Meanwhile the rest of my family had their free back massage. Needless to say she didn't get a tip. When I told the manager he just said "ok". If I could leave 0 stars I would. I highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

I absolutely loved this place. I got a gel manicure and the milky spa pedicure which was absolutely the most wonderful pedicure I can ever remember having!!!! I will be back!!! This place is pretty crowded on the weekends so suggest calling for times and possibly making an appointment. Can't wait to go back!!!

In the last 2 years there has been a change in the employees who do the pedicures. Real shame! Their-awful! They are lazy and I miss the original staff. There needs to be s change or I'm gone. Avoid ELisa...lazy!! I'd do a better job. Don't ask her anything because she only wants you to upgrade the pedicure! I have to go home and scrap my feet myself...UGh!!!!

Today I was asked by the owner of Coco Nails to please be quiet while I was getting a pedicure and talking to a friend across (not next to me) from me. Coco Nails is not a Spa, it is a nail salon. Is it prohibited to carry on a normal conversation? I was not screaming, I was not yelling, I was talking. I have never been so humiliated in my life. Today they lost two loyal customers. And to the person who complained that I was too loud, perhaps you should get your nails done in a spa setting where it is quiet. Lynn Old Tappan, NJ

I've been coming here for years. They always do a great job on my manicures & pedicures. The staff is very friendly and the salon is beautiful. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been going here off & on for a year and that is only because I love the pedicures I get from someone at another local salon. The decor is delightful, I like that they used disposable emery boards etc. I also like that they line the pedicure tub. The owners are so nice. Just so many reasons to enjoy relaxing here while getting your nails done.

Love this place. Always very clean, everyone is friendly (and never make you wait somehow, even if they are super busy), and my manicure always lasts 2+ weeks. I won't go anywhere else in the area!

I took Spanish for 6 years my life. I asked for a 3rd coat and The manicurists were taking about me to each other, assuming I didn't understand. When I confronted her saying I did know that she was calling me "complicated" she blew me off and didn't even bother to apologize. The place is clean but always busy. It's hit or miss with manicure. They either look really good or really bad.

Very clean, very courteous, prompt and efficient service. My nails look great, and I've been coming regularly. I recommend it highly!

Coco is hands down my favorite place to get my nails done. Everyone is always so friendly and accommodating, and the prices are impossible to beat. I don't get my nails done often, but I can always trust that they'll do an amazing job for prom, parties, birthdays, etc. They also have a rewards program which is a cool way to give back to their customers.

Not a bad place. I've been searching for a clean nail salon with good service, this place was spot on. My pedicure came out great, despite her nicking a piece of skin on my big toe (ouch!). Will definitely be back. Love the rewards program! 1 point for every dollar spent, doubled if you pay in cash. You can accumulate rewards toward free services or gift cards.

I find the salon very busy .I have been turned away on more than one one occasion because I didn't have an appointment and they were too busy . It's a Very business like atmosphere . If you are going here make an appointment or you may get turned away or you may have to wait a long time to have service rendered . It is also a little higher priced than other salons in the area . Pretty salon but needs work on customer friendly service .

I am guilty of driving 26 minutes here to get my nails done. I come back repeatedly because I love their rewards program and they are so friendly! They really massage your legs during pedicures and they use hot stones and jelly for the foot bath. It's a cool experience. Average prices- just wish they were a bit closer :( I also wish they switched to "Seche vite" top coat because their Essie top coat chips so quickly. I wish the keratin gloves were a bit cheaper because spending $10 for that seems a bit excessive.

The best spa in town with the following... 1. Courteous and friendly staff, who are skilled and trained well. 2. Clean clean clean Top quality material-hospital grade. 3. Never rushes, they take time with you. 4. Great facial, so relaxing. Try for yourself. Can't even compete or compare with others. Highly recommend 10 stars!! Keep up the excellent job!!

Today was my second visit to coco nails . Place is hopping but the wait is not long at all .what I love is that they start soaking your nails as soon as you walk in. I had Lina two weeks ago and she was fantastic - today I had Amy . Excellent gel manicure !!!

terrible customer service. rude management and my gel nails chipped after a week. the pedicure is rushed. there are other salons in the area that are much better and treat customers like humans. i called to ask for an appointment told them i would be 10 min late they told me it's not okay. what kind of customer service is this? i was a regular there not anymore screw this place!!!

My favorite nail salon. They do a GREAT job. They're a little pricey though. Thank god they have their reward card. You get 2 points for every dollar you spend if you pay in cash and the points rack up to rewards. They definitely give the best pedicures. They also have a huge selection of nail polishes to choose from and a bunch of gels to pick.

Really good salon! I never have a problem making an appointment (it's usually very crowded, so I never just walk in) and everyone is very friendly. I wish they would massage your back with a gel manicure though! They used to...what happened to that? Every other salon does!
