"Conservation efforts are critical to protect the low-lying islands that make up the Maldives, and efforts are under way to ensure their fragile natural environment is maintained. Ghost nets that have been abandoned by fishermen in the sea pose a major threat to species like turtles, which is why rescue centers have been set up at resorts such as the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu to combat the problem.Astaff team, including a veterinary surgeon and a resident marine biologist, work to protect sea turtles (and their habitats) by educating visitors and schoolchildren from neighboring islands like Thulhaadhoo and Hithaadhoo. They rehabilitate injured turtles and demonstrate how to remove the nets; they once even woke up some grateful guests in the middle of the night so they could watch as a giant turtle nested right on the beach. Teaching topics include marine ecology and medicine, and a similar initiative is set up at Sun Aqua Vilu Reef, where the resort team works with nearby communities to protect nesting sites and fight against human poachers."

A Perfect 20th Anniversary at Our Favorite Island – Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu Our recent stay at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu was nothing short of magical. This was our third visit to the resort we truly love, and it felt like coming home to paradise. We chose to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary here, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and smiles that reminded us why we keep coming back. The rustic charm of the villas, with their natural wood tones, thatched roofs, gives the perfect blend of Maldivian authenticity and comfort. There’s something so special about walking barefoot everywhere, feeling the sand between your toes, and being completely immersed in nature. The entire island radiates a sense of peace and simplicity that allows you to truly unwind and reconnect. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff who made our stay unforgettable. Shirfan, Nalinda, Madushan, and Muthuraja were exceptional waiters who went above and beyond to ensure every meal was perfect — always serving with warm smiles and thoughtful attention. Ohab from housekeeping kept our villa spotless and beautifully arranged, adding small touches that made us feel cared for. Lipton, who gave us a wonderful tour of the garden, impressed us with his knowledge and passion for sustainability. Dulal, the ever-smiling porter, handled our bags with such care and friendliness. Sithik was a ray of sunshine, always greeting us at the restaurant with good humor and a few jokes that brightened our mornings. And a special thank you to Hjaiba from reception, who was truly attentive, kind, and professional throughout our stay. Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu continues to capture our hearts with its natural beauty, rustic elegance, and the warmth of its people. We can’t wait to return again for more barefoot memories in this slice of paradise.

🌴 A Slice of Heaven for Our 25th Anniversary – Worth Every Mile! 🌅 My wife and I are world travelers, and for our 25th wedding anniversary, we scoured the globe for the perfect setting. After years of planning, we decided on Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, and it exceeded every expectation we had — and then some. Being from Phoenix, Arizona, it took us about 36 hours of travel to reach the Maldives, but after spending six unforgettable days on this island paradise, we both agreed we would have traveled 100 hours to get there. From the moment we stepped onto the island, we were met with warm smiles, genuine kindness, and a sense of peace that instantly made us feel at home. The staff greeted us with such joy and gratitude, and even the other guests radiated the same easy happiness that comes from being in such a special place. When we arrived at our villa, we were stunned — not only was it spotless and spacious, but it had been beautifully decorated for our anniversary with palm leaves, flowers, and a “25th” display on the bed. A chilled bottle of wine awaited us by the bedside, setting the tone for the perfect celebration. Our villa was wonderfully private, complete with our own path leading to a secluded stretch of beach and cushioned loungers just for us. The weather was flawless our entire stay — it didn’t rain until the very day we left! The food was absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and full of variety. We tried something new at every meal, and every dish was better than the last. The beach barbecue was a highlight, featuring freshly grilled lobster, prawns, and fish, all you could eat, under the stars. We also enjoyed a sunset cruise with wine, a couples massage, and early morning snorkeling with sea turtles. Because of the jet lag, we found ourselves waking up around 4 a.m. every morning, which turned into one of our favorite routines — watching the sunrise in total tranquility, often joined only by the quiet hum of the island staff starting their day. Evenings were spent watching the sunset from the Lagoon Bar, the perfect way to end each day. Another pleasant surprise — for all the luxury and experiences, the prices were very reasonable, both for the stay and the excursions. When we received our final bill, I was expecting it to be much higher. In short, this trip was truly the experience of a lifetime — peaceful, romantic, and deeply rejuvenating. Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu felt like heaven on earth, and we will cherish these memories forever. Thank you to every member of the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu team for creating the perfect anniversary getaway. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return someday. ❤️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If we could give more stars, we would!)

We've not longed returned from Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu after 11 amazing nights there, this place is paradise. This was our third visit to the Maldives and every time it gets better. The resort only has about 98 villas and being in the off season the resort wasn't at full occupancy. This made it feel even more exclusive for us, but even if the resort was full with the way its laid out i dont think you'd notice more people except for maybe at meal times. Every villa has there own area on the beach with their sun loungers and the villas have everything you need, mosquito repellent is even provided. The villa was kept immaculate by Robert our room attendant, he was such a lovely guy who always had time for a chat with us and even taught me how to open a coconut. He made our holiday feel really special with his towel art of butterflies and a rabbit. In fact all the staff are amazing but Robert stood out and really looked after us. The restaurant has some of the best food you'll eat in the Maldives and always had great choices. The curries were outstanding and really authentic, in fact, the best curries I've ever eaten. The deserts were really tasty and not like deserts we've had before where they are covered ina sickly cream substitute. These deserts and puddings were perfect. The baked yoghurt really stood out, something so simple yet really tasty. Shame it was only on the menu the 1st night we where there. The food was rarely repeated and always hot and fresh. I've got to mention the boys who looked after us in the restaurant, Mani, Faruk and two other lads (sorry I can't remember your names) they where all great and even surprised us on our last night with a lovely table setting. They kept our glasses full and the table cleared. There's a couple of bars on the island with great views out into the Islands and the sunset, gathering staff here were brilliant. Thanks to Ram, Irina and Bilal for there great service too. This was our first time arriving at a resort by seaplane and was a an amazing way to start our holiday. We were greeted by Hajiba and warmly welcomed onto the island with a cool refreshing towel. Everything about this holiday for us was amazing and will be hard to beat. I really hope we get another chance to go back here and see everyone again sometime in the future. If management read this then please let Robert know my coconuts made it home safely!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible resort in the Maldives, and we can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely exceptional. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met with warmth, attentiveness, and care. It was clear that guest satisfaction is their top priority. We stayed in both a Lagoon Villa and a Sunset Beach Villa, and both were absolutely stunning. Our amazing cleaner, Oahab, made each room extra special with thoughtful towel and flower decorations, and gave us exceptional service. The food was another highlight, the buffet everyday was incredible with different themes and dishes everyday. Mahbab’s omelettes in the morning were a perfect start to the day, and Bashir and Aakash in the kitchen prepared amazing dishes and service. Our waiters, Sayid and Adeel, were attentive and always ensured we had everything we needed. The Beach Bar, with Abul and Anis behind the counter, offered a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere while delivering fantastic drinks. We also had the pleasure of meeting Asim, who was painting in the shop. Finally, Roji’s warm hospitality and attention to detail truly stood out, she is truly a star. Thank you everyone for making our visit so special. We can’t recommend this place enough and look forward to visiting again soon!

The food is not varied. Breakfast is boring. I ate fish from the reef for lunch and dinner every day. Low-quality alcohol. The furniture is very outdated. The plumbing is in poor condition. The air conditioner is not working well. However, the hotel staff tries very hard to create a good service. The attention from the staff is felt. We were unlucky with the weather. It rained and overcast for a whole week. There was almost no sun

It’s been two weeks since our honeymoon in Coco palm dhuni kolhu and it still feels surreal. The nature and surroundings are simply breathtaking, such a wonderful break from the fast pace work routine in the hometown. A huge thank you to every staff member of the resort, you are the ones who make our stays so special there. A separate thank you to Mr Jegan, who accompanied us through some issues and showed understanding and empathy. We highly recommend the resort and hope to be back there very soon! Kind regards, Bogdan and Edita

Excellent resorts, excellent service. I recommend for families, couples or who loves the nature. We stayed at the Lagoon Villa for four nights with all inclusive, service was amazing, as a complementary they gave sunset cruise tour, diving and massage. Housekeeping cleaning is fabulous, they will clean your room two time per day. They provide both European and Asian cuisine at the main dinning cowrie restaurant with many live station and food are really delicious. All the staffs are polite, friendly and very helpful, especially hostess (Nepal lady from cowrie restaurant), Abul (Bangladesh waiter from sunset bar) and also all the waiters. Our stay was pleasant, for sure in the future we will return again.
