Coco Plum Island Resort

My wife and I have visited Coco Plum twice now and been amazed both times. We love the island with its sun, sand, and amenities. We love the warm clear water with all its fun sea life. We love the food, whether it’s bar snacks or a fresh full meal. We love the drinks. Most of all, we love the people. The staff who run this establishment are the best of the best and the biggest reason we can’t wait to come back again.

We went to Coco Plum for our honeymoon in July 2025. This trip exceeded our expectations in every way! We've traveled together to a lot of places, but Coco Plum is far and away our favorite vacation we've taken. This resort is truly a magical place. We can't wait to go back! ||Some highlights were the snorkel trips, the famous Mosquito Bite cocktail, Ms. Jude's cooking, the beautiful water surrounding the island, and the comfy rooms. But the best part of our trip was the PEOPLE!!! We had so much fun getting to know the folks who work at the resort. If we listed everyone who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and relaxed, this review would be too long. ||Thank you, Coco Plum!

We have been to this sweet resort 2 times now and already can't wait to go back. Miss Jude does an amazing job in the kitchen. You will never go hungry. Ervin, Jess, and Carl will keep you glass full at the bar. Allen and Willce will helpmyou out with all your beach needs and water toys. They also act as bellman. The charming cabanas are well appointed. Don't miss out on the upgrade to have a romantic dinner. You won't regret it.

This is our second time traveling to Coco Plum and it was fantastic! We highly recommend this resort to couples looking to relax and unwind! The rooms are spacious, clean and have beautiful views. We love the mix of activities and relaxation that Coco Plum offers. Above it all though is the amazing staff! Everyone is kind and truly makes an effort to care for & know you. My husband & I found out the gender of our 2nd child on this trip and Coco Plum staff planned a sweet gender reveal! We love Coco Plum and can’t recommend it enough!

When we visited Coco Plum in July of 2025 it was rated in the top 10 Small Resorts in the world. Their ranking proved this out when we visited for the third year in a row. The staff remained basically the same and they remembered us from previous visits. That says a lot to us. ||Truly consider making Coco Plum your vacation go to for great friendships, memories and adventures. Here’s why. ||Only a short boat ride to the island gives you top notch dining and bar drinks. Manager Alex has his bar staff greet you with a tropical drink as you step off the boat. Bella and Toni makes sure your accommodations are up to expectations. Allen and his coworkers quickly transfer your luggage to your cabana as they want you to enjoy the relaxation of your vacation. Chef Jude and her staff (Sous Chef Kim, Erla, Daniel, and Mr. P. Chicolate create plated delicacies every meal, as well as snacks and special Happy Hour appetizers. Evelyn, Tony, Shauna, and Tyrone, are quick to get your requested hot meal out to you. The bar is conveniently located next to the dining area. Ervin, Jess, and Carl create exotic drinks to order and entertained us throughout the day with lively conversation as well as nighttime special events such as karaoke. Enjoy Ervin and his special karaoke singing! ||There are excursions available throughout the week which are worth considering. The scuba diving and snorkel tours are first class. We opted for the scuba and Captain Gary (who also doubles as a divemaster when needed), Divemaster Roy, and boat crew Matthew tended to all our needs on the boat and under the water. The reef is healthy and vibrant. Roy pointed out so many things for us to see including (but not limited to) beautiful coral, eagle rays, a hammerhead shark, friendly nurse sharks, lobster, drummers, and so much more. The ziplining/cave tubing is a favorite land excursion as well. ||While the frontline staff quickly becomes friends for life, the rest of the staff need to be given recognition. Supervisor Justin has the beach raked every day. Me. Henry works diligently so the electric generator and water never have problems. Supervisor Miss Doris and her staff keep your cabanas cleaned everyday. It takes many people to offer such top level accommodations, both frontline and behind the scenes. ||Consider Coco Plum Resort for your next island vacation. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I booked this resort for an 8 day stay for our Honeymoon. After very thorough communication by the staff at Coco Plum, and some back and forth, they informed us that our stay there would be short due to renovations and that our booking would be transferred after 2 days there, to their sister resort Manta Island. We have left a review on Manta separately... but for Coco Plum and our short stay, here is how we felt about it.||"A home away from home"... my wife and I said this about a thousand times in our short but beautiful experience at Coco Plum Resort. Belize as a whole is a culturally rich experience and has some of the kindest people we have ever met (this is coming from Canadians... we do pride ourselves on that lol). Everything from the moment we stepped into the car to take us there (driven by the greatest driver in all of Belize; José). Fret not for José will get you anywhere and everywhere during your travels inland through Belize. ||Once you are driven to Dangriga's coastal area there is a boat that will await to take you to the island. We had the privilege of having our first boat ride of the trip being with Gary our sea captain, and his second hand Matthew. They both waited for 3 additional hours for us due to some flight delays, and yet even still... welcomed us with the biggest smile and kindest hearts. Our 30 minute trek to the island was magical and Gary kept it smooth despite some rough waters. ||When we arrived to the island we were met by Miss Bella (Guest Services Manager). She was well organized and informed us of everything we needed to know from the moment we got there. She answered any and all questions and made sure we were taken care of from the first sip of our welcome drink. The island as a whole is stunning (see photos attached). Although it is being renovated until late this year, Nov. 2025. I believe it will remain if not improve the beauty of the place it is. ||Furthermore, and most importantly, from someone who comes from a Customer Service background, the quality of people and service is next to nothing I have experienced anywhere before. All the people mentioned before, as well as Ty who was our server while we were there, are beyond amazing. Anything from food, drinks, questions and playful banter... everyone at Coco Plum went above and beyond in our expectations. ||Lastly, the excursion through Xunantunich was a breath taking journey through the Belizean culture. Exploring the Mayan Ruins and being able to CLIMB all the way to the top of one of the ancient wonders of the world is a moment we soon won't forget. José will be your expert guide for this trip and will unravel the Mayan stories as you move through the site. This experience is exactly how history should be taught and shown... 10/10, would climb a limestone temple again. ||As stated before, this is a "Home away from Home". The people, culture and service will make sure you know that. From the numerous other reviews and people we met there, it seems that we all have felt that way in our stay at Coco Plum. It was an honour and privilege sharing and experiencing the culture, food and laughs with everyone we met. My wife and I look forward to a lifetime of visits moving forward.

Coco Plum was our Honeymoon get away. Months of nonstop work and wedding planning. The moment we arrived on the island, there was nothing more than peace and tranquility. The staff was better than any place we've ever been to. Along with the other island couples who were super kind and some of which had been numerous times (no surprise having been here once). My wife and I have already booked our next year's trip to the island before we even checked out. Words can not describe the friendly, peaceful, warm of an experience this place gave us Food was beyond comparison Staff was excellent Views were stunning Excursions were perfect Multiple trips are optional but necessary You will not regret booking this place. 7 days during April 14 - 21 (2025) > higher winds during our visit > but did not impact our stay whatsoever. Understand that with high winds comes choppy water, which should not be a surprise, for those unfamiliar with lake/ ocean currents. Nothing to be afraid of, trust the highly experienced staff, and they will take care of you to the best of their ability. Last point - do look for places in advance. Island does tend to book quickly for obvious reasons.

We booked this trip in 2023 and finally, July 2025 arrived. From the booking throughout our time at the resort, the staff was incredibly responsive and helpful. We had lots of questions from luggage to logisitcs and the front office staff was very knowledgable. Travel from Belize City to the resort via a short plane ride to Dangriga and subsequent marina shuttle and boat ride were handled extremely well. The same could be said for the journey home. The quality of the food was amazing and we never felt hungry. Three meals and a happy hour snack were provided. Typically for every meal, you have two to three choices. Choosing what to eat was the hardest decision we had to make everyday! For a very relaxing vacation, I would highly recommend staying here.
