Very Disappointing Experience – Not as Advertised||||My wife and I visited Coco Plum Island two weeks ago and were extremely disappointed with the condition of the resort.||||On arrival, we were told that the bar area would be completed by that evening, which turned out to be untrue. In reality, there were major building works taking place across the island throughout our stay.||||More concerning was the overall lack of maintenance. The island was in a very poor state, with cement, hardcore, and construction debris scattered throughout. From the swimming pool, a large construction barge with trucks on board was clearly visible, which completely detracted from the island experience. The swimming pool itself appeared very dated, likely from the 1980s, and the bar area was shabby and unclean.||||The surrounding sea and shoreline were also in poor condition, with old bottles, shoes, and debris visible in the water, which was shocking given the setting.||||Our room was old, worn, and poorly maintained, and did not reflect the standard advertised.||||I raised these issues with the manager, who acknowledged the problems. To their credit, we were given a full refund, helped to book another hotel, and we left the island within 12 hours of arrival.||||Unfortunately, this was not the experience we expected or paid for, and I would strongly advise others to check whether construction is ongoing before booking.
