19 Best All-inclusive Honeymoon Resorts

"Located off the coast of southern Belize, locally owned and managed adults-only Coco Plum Island Resort stands out as one of the dreamiest all-inclusives for a relaxing honeymoon. The vibe is lovely and laid-back. While kayaking, floating in the calm water, and falling asleep to the sounds of nature in an ocean-front cabana, you won't have a care in the world." - Travel + Leisure Editors

On the off chance you aren’t familiar with CocoPlum, they have a well-earned 5.0 rating with over 2,700 reviews. Not only is this an amazing accomplishment but a testament to their great staff. Over the past 3 years, CocoPlum has become a repeat destination and our favorite getaway spot. Having travelled abroad extensively over the years, CocoPlum’s staff by far, is the best we have encountered. They are what makes guests want to return to CocoPlum time and time again. One of the fun things to do while sitting at the bar is to look at all the t-shirts that guests have brought to hang above the bar celebrating their time at CocoPlum. This time however I started noticing the number of plaques that are hung for guests that have visited CocoPlum six times or more. There are 30+ “Hall of Famers” plaques on the wall. That is quite impressive for an island resort! We have visited other resorts, but by far, CocoPlum is our favorite! We are looking forward to seeing the new renovations.

My wife and I have visited Coco Plum twice now and been amazed both times. We love the island with its sun, sand, and amenities. We love the warm clear water with all its fun sea life. We love the food, whether it’s bar snacks or a fresh full meal. We love the drinks. Most of all, we love the people. The staff who run this establishment are the best of the best and the biggest reason we can’t wait to come back again.

Things you should know|It takes a tiny airplane to get here, just something you should know. |There is construction still going on as of November 2025, they will probably still be working until January. Didn’t impact us at all really just wasn’t well advertised by the resort. |It’s a long travel day for to get here so I’d recommend staying 5+ days, can’t really count arrival and departure days as part of the vaca. |This is the best customer service I’ve ever received, anywhere, ever, no questions asked |We caught bonefish and sharks just fishing off the island, snorkeling and floating around island were truly great |I usually think all inclusive food is just average like food on cruises. This place serves local, hand crafted food with fish they catch off the island. Genuine, authentic and made with love by Ms June. |It’s such an intimate vacation because the island is so small. If you don’t want to meet other people on your vacation this is not a good place for you. ||Personalized and extremely attentive customer service. Great excursions, things to do on the island, and delightful food that is much better than you’d get at any all inclusive. Thanks to Jesse, Carl, Alex, Ervin, Briona, the fishing guy, Ms June, and many others.

From the moment you see photos of Coco Plum Island, it’s obvious you’re looking at a paradise. But what those images can’t capture is what it feels like once you’re actually there — that’s something you truly have to experience in person. What makes Coco Plum Island so special goes far beyond its beauty. It’s the warmth of the staff, the genuine care in every interaction, and the unique atmosphere that naturally forms among the guests. Within days, you find yourself knowing everyone’s names, sharing meals, stories, and laughter, and creating real connections that feel effortless and sincere. When I first arrived in Belize, someone told me: “You arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend.” That couldn’t be more accurate. Coco Plum Island is not just a destination, it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave. An unforgettable place in every sense.

We went to Coco Plum for our honeymoon in July 2025. This trip exceeded our expectations in every way! We've traveled together to a lot of places, but Coco Plum is far and away our favorite vacation we've taken. This resort is truly a magical place. We can't wait to go back! ||Some highlights were the snorkel trips, the famous Mosquito Bite cocktail, Ms. Jude's cooking, the beautiful water surrounding the island, and the comfy rooms. But the best part of our trip was the PEOPLE!!! We had so much fun getting to know the folks who work at the resort. If we listed everyone who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and relaxed, this review would be too long. ||Thank you, Coco Plum!

What can I say about Coco Plum that I haven't said before?!? It is our home away from home and happy place. You make friends with the other guests but the staff has become our Belizean family. The island is going through a large renovation that was expected to be done prior to our visit but Mother Nature had other ideas. Coco Plum reached out and was totally transparent about the delay and had a number of options for us to choose from: come as planned with a credit thrown in, rebook our trip for another time or rebook at one of their sister resorts. We decided to stay the course. While the island was not how we were used to seeing it, the food, drinks, accommodations and exceptional service were spot on as always. Trust me when I say that Coco Plum always goes above and beyond to make it right.

We have been to this sweet resort 2 times now and already can't wait to go back. Miss Jude does an amazing job in the kitchen. You will never go hungry. Ervin, Jess, and Carl will keep you glass full at the bar. Allen and Willce will helpmyou out with all your beach needs and water toys. They also act as bellman. The charming cabanas are well appointed. Don't miss out on the upgrade to have a romantic dinner. You won't regret it.

Very Disappointing Experience – Not as Advertised||||My wife and I visited Coco Plum Island two weeks ago and were extremely disappointed with the condition of the resort.||||On arrival, we were told that the bar area would be completed by that evening, which turned out to be untrue. In reality, there were major building works taking place across the island throughout our stay.||||More concerning was the overall lack of maintenance. The island was in a very poor state, with cement, hardcore, and construction debris scattered throughout. From the swimming pool, a large construction barge with trucks on board was clearly visible, which completely detracted from the island experience. The swimming pool itself appeared very dated, likely from the 1980s, and the bar area was shabby and unclean.||||The surrounding sea and shoreline were also in poor condition, with old bottles, shoes, and debris visible in the water, which was shocking given the setting.||||Our room was old, worn, and poorly maintained, and did not reflect the standard advertised.||||I raised these issues with the manager, who acknowledged the problems. To their credit, we were given a full refund, helped to book another hotel, and we left the island within 12 hours of arrival.||||Unfortunately, this was not the experience we expected or paid for, and I would strongly advise others to check whether construction is ongoing before booking.
