Coco Reef Resort Bermuda

We had a perfect vacation at the Coco Reef Resort. At was off season, so not a lot of people. Our room had best view. Room itself was good, few minor cosmetic imperfections but nothing big. Location of resort of good, right in the middle of the island. Market and diner right around the corner. Same goes for scooter rental. Would definitely go back there.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at Coco Reed right after Hurricane Ernesto hit the island last week. Honestly, you wouldn’t have even known that hurricane had just hit the island directly. The staff was lovely and the highlight of staying here is that the beach felt like there was nobody else on it the whole time. This may be due to the fact that elbow Beach next-door is currently closed so there are fewer people than normal that would be on Elbow Beach.||When I had questions about using the bus, the receptionist helped me immensely and my recommendation is for you to buy a three day bus pass. It is the best and most affordable way to see the island but if you’re coming back from dinner late, make sure that you carry cash to pay your cab driver. ||There is a supermarket that is a 15 minute walk from the resort and I went and stocked up on a few goodies while I was there. A forewarning, be prepared for sticker shock. I bought a bag of chips, 2L of soda, two apples and a bottle of rum and it was $58.||The beach was absolutely spotless and my room was comfortable, lovely and spacious. I couldn’t of asked for a better five days in paradise! One of the advantages to staying at Coco reef is that it is a small resort so you feel that the resort is empty even when it is completely full. ||I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking to be on a beautiful beach have relatively easy access into Hamilton and be close to many options and sites that are on the island.

The staff here couldn’t be nicer. They’re responsive, great to chat with, and do a great job of anticipating ones needs. Absolutely wonderful! Sadly, the hotel is rather shabby and run down. It lacks basic amenities; for example, there are no hooks on the bathroom. The dining room is only open for brief periods. The breakfast buffet is awful, but the kitchen does well at lunch and dinner. A new manager had started shortly before we arrived. I wouldn’t recommend Coco Reef now, but will be interested to see whether it improves.

Loved stunning location of this friendly hotel.Great rooms and breakfasts.stunning views. Quiet. Short walk to buses with access all over the island.Staff v helpful with requests like special birthday cake, taxis, and bus info.Maybe we were slightly out of season but bar closed each night by 9.

Very nice people and a beautiful little beach. Quiet and relaxing and a good value for Bermuda. I was in a refurbished room yet you can tell the quality just isn’t there (plastic chairs outside) like at other more expensive resorts, but again a good value.

Absolutely delighted with this hotel… I was very worried as had read several bad reviews…. However. The hotel has really turned around since those. The renovations seem to be finished. We had a beautiful room.. literally a stones throw from the beach. The room was all new and fresh. Excellent bed.. it’s was huge! Aircon a bit noisy… but hey, with everything else so good it wasn’t a worry and you get used to it… at least it worked! The pool area is lovely and very quiet. The beach is just beautiful. We had the most amazing poolside service from two fabulous guys, who worked so hard running up and down to and from the beach and pool every day to bring snacks and drinks… Nicholas and Noah, you were absolute stars! 🌟 ALL the staff are so friendly and helpful from the lovely cleaners, the lady at breakfast service (which was great) to reception calling us taxis as and when. We genuinely had the most lovely relaxing stay. It’s a 3 star hotel… I think it could easily be a 4 star. It’s the cheapest in terms of location and views… they really are something else and you’re just a 15 min taxi ride away from Hamilton. We’d definitely stay here again 💕

The hotel is undergoing substantial updating that is being done in a controlled and sensitive manner by the relatively new and very approachable manager. This hotel has about 64 rooms with plenty of garden space, all facing the stunning Elbow Beach. It has the “bones” of being the most beautiful, intimate and peaceful place on Bermuda and in just the 2 weeks that we have been here, we can see the changes day by day. We haven’t been subject to any work noise or interference at all as the Manager is keen that this be a priority. |Most of the rooms have already undergone a complete renovation and we were very pleasantly surprised on arrival.|The beds a very comfortable and the decor is light and airy. The rooms are spacious and there are plenty drawers and wardrobe space.|The restaurant staff are so warm, friendly and cannot do enough for their guests. |If you are looking for sunshine and sanctuary - this is the ideal location. My husband has enjoyed getting out of bed and running along the beach, watching the sunrise each morning, before jumping into the sea - what a way to start the day 🥰.

We had a medical emergency the last day of our cruise and could not make the ship in time to sail back to port of origin. Hospital (horror story) found us accommodations at this resort for the night. The front desk personnel and all of the other employees couldn’t have been nicer and ever so accommodating!! They helped me to get my injured husband into our room and back out to the taxi the next morning. EVERYONE WAS AMAZINGLY KIND. The room had a most beautiful ocean view, however was extremely musty and had black mold growing on top of slider valance below where the ceiling had leaked. This is not the fault of the staff…but the OWNERS of the property. I also had to kill the most gigantic spider that I’ve ever seen…it was on the shower curtain when I exited the shower. Not a pleasant surprise. Food is very pricey, but very good. I was however given a can of Diet Coke that had expired 10/23/23…8 months ago. I want to thank all of the staff who helped us and wish them the best. As far as future stays, I would not consider a return visit due to poor condition of room and various parts of the property.
