Coco Reef Resort Bermuda

I’m giving this 5 stars in the rooms category because there isn’t a star rating for the beach. My wife and I got a beach club pass for the day and it was excellent. The beach is pristine. With the beach pass you can also use the pool if you like. The food is also good and easy to grab and walk it back down to enjoy in your beach chair. Totally recommend spending a day here with a beach pass.

This is a small two story resort directly on a magnificent south shore beach. It has charm and hospitality galore. It has recently undergone a significant renovation and all the rooms are upgraded. Most rooms are ocean front or view. All staff are very friendly and professional. The ocean view restaurant has quite a varied selection of meals, at all meals times (but not in between). We found the dinners to be very high quality and better than most of the meals we had in the towns. After exploring the island I believe that this would be the only place we would stay on a return trip.

I'm a Bermudian and when I travel home I stay in various hotels. In 2025, I was home in July and December and, for convenience to family, we|Stayed at Coco Reef. The rooms have been updated from the old wicker, but beyond the location convenience and the updated rooms, the STAFF are TERRIFIC! From the front desk, to the dining room, to the drivers who took us up and down the hill nightly, and even the housekeeping staff who made sure the room was spotless daily - WONDERFUL! The hotel was, and always is, packed because the STAFF make you feel like you're coming home! ||Experience Coco Reef for yourself! Promise you won't be disappointed!

Location is great, right on the south shore, home of the best beaches. It's an 8-minute walk to the #7 bus stop, which will take you to more southern beaches such as Horseshoe Bay, or to the end of the line at Dockyard where the for tis and the cruise ships stop. Also you can stop at Gibb's Hill Lighthouse on the way. there. The #7 bus in the other direction takes you to Hamilton, where you can transfer to all the other buses. Also it's a 9-minute walk from the hotel to the grocery store. The atmosphere is great. Relaxing, calm, and chill, as it should be since you're right on the beach. Everyone on staff is super polite and accommodating. Rooms are updated and all rooms have an ocean view. Some buildings are closer to the ocean than others, but even the farthest building from the beach is just a short walk down the stairs to it. Also, you are closer to the main building/restaurant the higher up the hill you are. Smart TV with big screen. I logged into my YouTube account and you can also log into other apps. Good Wi-Fi. Good rain shower with handheld wand. I didn't like that the shower didn't have a door though. It's one of those half-enclosed glass showers, where water ends up all over the floor. Please enclose the whole shower. Beds are comfortable and you get a lot of pillows. Refrigerator is a good size to hold all your things. There was no ceiling fan or luxury bathrobe in my room, even though their website says my room would have them. Plenty of American-style outlets, including built into the furniture and the alarm clock. Also, USB ports built into them. Good value for your money, especially if you get a package deal like I did. Cleanliness was so-so. Upon checking I noticed food particles and other debris on my floor. The room was cleaned daily however and those cleaners were good. Noise levels weren't an issue until my last day when someone moved in above me. Also that day I could hear loud and clear a man's whole conversation on the phone. Not sure if he was above me or next to me. Sound must carry thru the air vents or something. Beach is very private with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas for guest's use. If you go around the rocks you come to the regular beach, which was also quiet. Dining was good, although it can be pricey. Also, be careful when asking for water. For one meal I wanted a glass of water but was brought a giant glass water bottle imported from Italy that costs a lot of money. I only drank half of it. Overall a recommended hotel that is right on the beach.

Coco Reef was wonderful. It's central location makes trips easy. Our room was very nice. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. The short walk down to the private beach for a dip or lounge was a great way to start and end each day. I would highly recommend Coco Reef to anyone visiting Bermuda.

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon here. Food, drinks, and service were great. We loved our view from our room and the private beach was perfect. The women running the front desk were super kind and helpful as can be. I would certainly love to go back.

Went with my 20 something daughter for a few days and loved it! We had a beachfront room and it was magical-bright turquoise water right out your door. The beach was sandy, comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas. They are building an outside bar but easy to bring drinks from the inside bar to the beach a few steps away. The Elbow Beach hotel next door is closed/being renovated so the beach was extra private. Our room was simple (who needs a decorated room when you have that glorious view?!) and newly painted with a very comfortable mattress and pristine white linens. It was an 8-10 minute walk to the bus and to a market for supplies. We were so tired from our adventures each day that we wound up having dinner at the resort restaurant all 3 nights. I stuck with a tofu salad which was lovely and my daughter had salmon and chicken piccata which were all excellent. The dining room is all windows with an attentive staff who wrapped up our dinner to go the last night when we decided to eat in our room. In fact, all the staff were attentive and welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend for a more laid back, peaceful, private experience than perhaps some of the other resorts provide.

I don't have one negative word to say about this hotel! While unfortunately I was not visiting for leisure this time around, I would absolutely return to fully enjoy the resort. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the restaurant was very good, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pathway going down to their private beach was so quaint. I hope to be back soon!
