Coco Reef Resort Bermuda

This is a small two story resort directly on a magnificent south shore beach. It has charm and hospitality galore. It has recently undergone a significant renovation and all the rooms are upgraded. Most rooms are ocean front or view. All staff are very friendly and professional. The ocean view restaurant has quite a varied selection of meals, at all meals times (but not in between). We found the dinners to be very high quality and better than most of the meals we had in the towns. After exploring the island I believe that this would be the only place we would stay on a return trip.

Went with my 20 something daughter for a few days and loved it! We had a beachfront room and it was magical-bright turquoise water right out your door. The beach was sandy, comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas. They are building an outside bar but easy to bring drinks from the inside bar to the beach a few steps away. The Elbow Beach hotel next door is closed/being renovated so the beach was extra private. Our room was simple (who needs a decorated room when you have that glorious view?!) and newly painted with a very comfortable mattress and pristine white linens. It was an 8-10 minute walk to the bus and to a market for supplies. We were so tired from our adventures each day that we wound up having dinner at the resort restaurant all 3 nights. I stuck with a tofu salad which was lovely and my daughter had salmon and chicken piccata which were all excellent. The dining room is all windows with an attentive staff who wrapped up our dinner to go the last night when we decided to eat in our room. In fact, all the staff were attentive and welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend for a more laid back, peaceful, private experience than perhaps some of the other resorts provide.

We loved this beachfront location! We arrived before our room was ready and the hotel staff was so accommodating and helped us get into vacation mode and the pool and beach while they held our bags. Once in the room, we were impressed by the view and cleanliness. The bed was very comfy! The overall theme was calm and cute. ||The beach and pool have chairs and umbrellas and towels all ready for you. ||Hotel dining was a great experience. They had a variety of options- the samosa, ribeye, and beef short rib were delicious! ||The hotel is situated on the island where you can easily get to either side using the public transportation bus. ||Don’t overlook this small resort. It felt like a private paradise!

Coco Reef was wonderful. It's central location makes trips easy. Our room was very nice. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. The short walk down to the private beach for a dip or lounge was a great way to start and end each day. I would highly recommend Coco Reef to anyone visiting Bermuda.

I have a shot of the beach at Coco Reef as the backdrop on my computer, but I have to point out to people that it is not some stock photo of perfection but an actual photo of perfection. Coco Reef beach is an ultimate instance of Bermuda. Sapphire and emerald seas gently lapping a pink beach with sand as soft as talcum powder. The two story buildings are arranged on terraces that rise from the water, their characteristic Bermuda white roofs glowing in the sunlight. They house recently refurbished rooms that have a quiet, pastel elegance. And incredibly comfortable beds. The walk down to the beach gives you a breathtaking vista, but the price is the walk back up. But it helps you rationalize the cocktails that they serve you to your lounger. And that service is what makes this place truly wonderful. The staff here are incredible and always willing to help and to chat. They aren’t just friendly, they start with the assumption that you are their friend. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone I know.

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon here. Food, drinks, and service were great. We loved our view from our room and the private beach was perfect. The women running the front desk were super kind and helpful as can be. I would certainly love to go back.

I was very excited to stay at Coco Reef, but our trip was cut short due to food poisoning. My friend and I were only there from November 2-4. Unfortunately, the property manager did not provide us with the cancellation policy when we requested to see it. He said that he would not allow for any sort of refund, in spite of the unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. The policy on Expedia does not explicitly state what would happen in the case of a cancellation once the stay has started. Furthermore, the property manager also lied and said that he had sampled our food the night before and knew exactly what we ate. We didn't even eat at the hotel. This is not a good representation of the company or Bermuda. The woman at the front desk was extremely kind and hospitable. I have no complaints about her. The rooms were also very clean. My only complaint would be the noise coming from outside our room. Somebody was on their phone early in the morning which impacted our ability to sleep. Overall, I am very upset with the outcome and I will not be recommending the Coco Reef to anybody due to this poor treatment.

There isn’t a single negative thing I could say about this lovely place. Everybody who works here is kind and helpful. The rooms are lively and renovated. The beach is beautiful and private. ||But I wanted to make a special mention of the restaurant Sol I mar. I frequent nice restaurants in NYC and believe that Sol I mar is up there with the best of them. Again, lovely staff, but the food itself was perfectly cooked, amazing sauces. We tried a few other restaurants on the island and decided that this is our favorite. Some of the most tender lamb I’ve ever had. Thank you to the chef.||And thank you to the whole coco reef staff for a great experience.||💕
